Bifurcation and Turing Pattern Formation in a Diffusion Modified Leslie-Gower Predator-Prey Model with Crowley-Martin Functional Response

In this paper, we study a modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with Smith growth subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary condition, in which the functional response is the Crowley-Martin functional response term. Firstly, for ODE model, the local stability of equilibrium point is given. And by using bifurcation theory and selecting suitable bifurcation parameters, we find many kinds of bifurcation phenomena, including Transcritical bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation. For the reaction-diffusion model, we find that Turing instability occurs. Besides, it is proved that Hopf bifurcation exists in the model. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to verify and illustrate the theoretical results. 展开更多

Objective:To study the efficacy of treating pediatric bronchial asthma with a modified Dingchuan Decoction and its effect on inflammatory factors and lung function levels.Methods:Sixty cases of bronchial asthma admitted to the hospital between January and December 2023 were divided into two groups using a computerized randomization method.One group of 30 cases received basic treatment with a salmeterol ticarcoson powder inhaler(control group),while the observation group received the same treatment plus a modified Dingchuan Decoction.The disappearance time of symptoms,levels of inflammatory factors,lung function indexes,and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups.Results:The disappearance time of symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group.The levels of inflammatory factors after treatment were lower,and lung function indexes were higher in the observation group compared to the control group.Additionally,the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the clinical treatment of pediatric bronchial asthma,supplementing conventional Western medicine with a modified Dingchuan Decoction is effective,as it actively reduces inflammatory factor levels and improves lung function. 展开更多

These adaptive controllers can realize the modified functional projective synchronization between each node of star network and an isolated node by argument and analysis. BACKGROUND Painless gastroenteroscopy is a widely developed diagnostic and treatment technology in clinical practice.It is of great significance in the clinical diagnosis,treatment,follow-up review and other aspects of gastric cancer patients.The application of anesthesia techniques during manipulation can be effective in reducing patient fear and discomfort.In clinical work,the adverse drug reactions of anesthesia regimens and the risk of serious adverse drug reactions are increased with the increase in propofol application dose application dose;the application of opioid drugs often causes gastrointestinal reactions,such as nausea,vomiting and delayed gastrointestinal function recovery,after examination.These adverse effects can seriously affect the quality of life of patients.AIM To observe the effect of modified ShengYangYiwei decoction on gastrointestinal function,related complications and immune function in patients with gastric cancer during and after painless gastroscopy.METHODS A total of 106 patients with gastric cancer,who were selected from January 2022 to September 2022 in Xiamen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital for painless gastroscopy,were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=56)and a control group(n=50).Before the examination,all patients fasted for 8 h,provided their health education,and confirmed if there were contraindications to anesthesia and gastroscopy.During the examination,the patients were placed in the left decubitus position,the patients were given oxygen through a nasal catheter(6 L/min),the welling needle was opened for the venous channel,and a multifunction detector was connected for monitoring electrocardiogram,oxygen saturation,blood pressure,etc.Naporphl and propofol propofol protocols were used for routine anesthesia.Before anesthesia administration,the patients underwent several deep breathing exercises,received intravenous nalbuphine[0.nalbuphine(0.025 mg/kg)],followed by intravenous propofol[1.propofol(1.5 mg/kg)]until the palpebral reflex disappeared,and after no response,gastroscopy was performed.If palpebral reflex disappeared,and after no response,gastroscopy was performed.If any patient developed movement,frowning,or hemodynamic changes during the operation(heart rate changes during the operation(heart rate increased to>20 beats/min,systolic blood pressure increased to>20%of the base value),additional propofol[0.propofol(0.5 mg/kg)]was added until the patient was sedated again.The patients in the treatment group began to take the preventive intervention of Modified ShengYangYiwei decoction one week before the examination,while the patients in the control group received routine gastrointestinal endoscopy.The patients in the two groups were examined by conventional painless gastroscopy,and the characteristics of the painless gastroscopies of the patients in the two groups were recorded and compared.These characteristics included the total dosage of propofol during the examination,the incidence of complications during the operation,the time of patients'awakening,the time of independent activities,and the gastrointestinal function of the patients after examination,such as the incidence of reactions such as malignant vomiting,abdominal distension and abdominal pain,as well as the differences in the levels of various immunological indicators and inflammatory factors before anesthesia induction(T0),after conscious extubation(T1)and 24 h after surgery(T2).RESULTS There was no difference in the patients’general information,American Society of Anesthesiologist classification or operation time between the two groups before treatment.In terms of painless gastroscopy,the total dosage of propofol in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the time of awakening and autonomous activity was significantly faster than that in the control group(P<0.05).During the examination,the incidence of hypoxemia,hypotension and hiccups in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.01).In terms of gastrointestinal function,the incidences of nausea,vomiting,abdominal distension and abdominal pain in the treatment group after examination were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).In terms of immune function,in both groups,the number of CD4+and CD8+cells decreased significantly(P<0.05),and the number of natural killer cells increased significantly(P<0.05)at T1 and T2,compared with T0.The number of CD4+and CD8+cells in the treatment group at the T1 and T2 time points was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),while the number of natural killer cells was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).In terms of inflammatory factors,compared with T0,the levels of interleukin(IL)-6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha in patients in the two groups at T1 and T2 increased significantly and then decreased(P<0.05).The level of IL-6 at T1 and T2 in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The preoperative use of modified ShengYangYiwei decoction can optimize the anesthesia program during painless gastroscopy,improve the gastrointestinal function of patients after the operation,reduce the occurrence of examination-related complications. 展开更多

In this paper, we propose a transformation to normalize the emotional features, emotion recognition. Features based on prosody then derivate a Modified QDF (MQDF) to speech and voice quality are extracted and Principal Component Analysis Neural Network (PCANN) is used to reduce dimension of the feature vectors. The results show that voice quality features are effective supplement for recognition, and the method in this paper could improve the recognition ratio effectively. 展开更多

BACKGROUND In the perioperative period of biliary surgery,various factors can induce the release of a large number of inflammatory factors,leading to an imbalance in proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses and resulting in gastrointestinal(GI)dysfunction.Enhanced Recovery After Surgery protocols in biliary surgery have been shown to reduce the stress response and accelerate postoperative recovery.It is crucial to reduce the inflammatory response and promote the recovery of GI function after biliary surgery,both of which are the basis and key for perioperative care and postoperative recovery.AIM To better understand the effects of Modified Xiao-Cheng-Qi decoction(MXD)on inflammatory response and GI function in the perioperative management of cholelithiasis and their correlation.METHODS This was a prospective randomized placebo-controlled trial,in which 162 patients who received biliary tract surgery were randomly assigned to three groups:MXD group,XD group,and placebo-control group.The observed parameters included frequency of bowel sounds,time of first flatus and defecation,time of diet,and amount of activity after surgery.The serum levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin(IL)-6,IL-10,serum amyloid A protein(SAA),and substance P were measured by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Then,the spearman correlation coefficient was used to analyze the relationship between the indicators of GI function and inflammation.RESULTS Compared to the placebo-control,improvements in GI function were observed in the MXD groups including reduced incidence of nausea,vomiting,and bloating;and earlier first exhaust time,first defecation time,and feeding time after surgery(P<0.05).On the 1st and 2nd d after surgery,IL-6,CRP and SAA levels in MXD group were lower than that in placebo control,but substance P level was higher,compared to the control(P<0.05).Functional diarrhea occurred in both MXD and XD groups without any other adverse effects,toxic reactions,and allergic reactions.Diarrhea was relieved after the discontinuation of the investigational remedies.Bowel sounds at 12 h after surgery,the occurring time of the first flatus,first defecation,postoperative liquid diet and semiliquid diet were significantly correlated with levels of IL-6,CRP,SAA and substance P on second day after surgery(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Treatment with MXD can relieve inflammatory response and improve GI function after surgery.Moreover,there are significant correlations between them.Furthermore,it does not cause serious adverse reactions. 展开更多

Modified constraint-induced movement therapy(mCIMT)has shown beneficial effects on motor function improvement after brain injury,but the exact mechanism remains unclear.In this study,amplitude of low frequency fluctuation(ALFF)metrics measured by resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging was obtained to investigate the efficacy and mechanism of mCIMT in a control co rtical impact(CCI)rat model simulating traumatic brain injury.At 3 days after control co rtical impact model establishment,we found that the mean ALFF(mALFF)signals were decreased in the left motor cortex,somatosensory co rtex,insula cortex and the right motor co rtex,and were increased in the right corpus callosum.After 3 weeks of an 8-hour daily mClMT treatment,the mALFF values were significantly increased in the bilateral hemispheres compared with those at 3 days postoperatively.The mALFF signal valu es of left corpus callosum,left somatosensory cortex,right medial prefro ntal cortex,right motor co rtex,left postero dorsal hippocampus,left motor cortex,right corpus callosum,and right somatosensory cortex were increased in the mCIMT group compared with the control cortical impact group.Finally,we identified brain regions with significantly decreased mALFF valu es at 3 days postoperatively.Pearson correlation coefficients with the right forelimb sliding score indicated that the improvement in motor function of the affected upper limb was associated with an increase in mALFF values in these brain regions.Our findings suggest that functional co rtical plasticity changes after brain injury,and that mCIMT is an effective method to improve affected upper limb motor function by promoting bilateral hemispheric co rtical remodeling.mALFF values correlate with behavio ral changes and can potentially be used as biomarkers to assess dynamic cortical plasticity after traumatic brain injury. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Zhenren Yangzang Decoction combined with modified Shenling Baizhu Powder on the immune function and intestinal microecology of diarrhea patients with deficiency and cold syndrome. METHODS: A total of 60 diarrhea patients with deficiency and cold syndrome were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine. The observation group was given the treatment of Zhenren Yangzang Decoction combined with modified Shenling Baizhu Powder on the basis of the same treatment for 4 weeks. The clinical symptoms, fecal flora and immunoglobulin content of the 2 groups were observed and the clinical efficacy was evaluated. RESULTS: After treatment, the symptoms scores of fecal diarrhea, aversion to cold, cold limbs, loss of appetite, cold and painful waist and knee, abdominal fullness, abdominal distension and abdominal pain, and intestinal bacilli contents were significantly decreased(P < 0.05). The contents of lactobacillus, bifidus bacilli, IgG, IgM and IgA were significantly increased(P < 0.05), and the improvement of the above indexes in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P < 0.05). The total effective rate after treatment in the observation group was 93.3%, which was significantly higher than 73.3% of the control group(P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The treatment of diarrhea patients with deficiency and cold syndrome with Zhenren Yangzang Decoction and modified Shenling Baizhu Powder can effectively improve the intestinal micro-ecological environment, improve the immune function of patients and promote the rapid recovery of patients. 展开更多

In this paper, a modified version of the Classical Lagrange Multiplier method is developed for convex quadratic optimization problems. The method, which is evolved from the first order derivative test for optimality of the Lagrangian function with respect to the primary variables of the problem, decomposes the solution process into two independent ones, in which the primary variables are solved for independently, and then the secondary variables, which are the Lagrange multipliers, are solved for, afterward. This is an innovation that leads to solving independently two simpler systems of equations involving the primary variables only, on one hand, and the secondary ones on the other. Solutions obtained for small sized problems (as preliminary test of the method) demonstrate that the new method is generally effective in producing the required solutions. 展开更多

In this paper,a computer-based systematic and efficient formulation method is presented for obtaining the network functions of linear or linearized time-invariant dynamic circuits.The method employs the modified nodal approach to obtain the system equations.The technique is based on developing a matrix formulation for modelling network functions.By using both symbolic manipulation of algebraic expressions and numeric processes,the network functions are expressed with a matrix-based method.Application examples are given to illustrate the features of the method. 展开更多

The modified single base propellant samples were prepared by impregnating blasting oil into single base grains and deactivating deterrent in water medium. The concentration distribution of functional compositions in this propellant was determined by using FTIR micro-spectroscopy. Its combustion performance was investigated by means of closed-bomb and interior ballistic tests. The results show that the concentration of NG distributes parabolically along the radius and the concentration of NA decreases from the surface to the centre exponentially. The deeper the NG impregnates, the slower the NA concentration decreases, the stronger the progressive combustion is and the better the interior ballistic performance is. When the depth corresponding to maximum NG concentration is about 1/2 of the web and the NA decreases slowly, the progressive combustion is the strongest and the interior ballistic performance is the best. 展开更多
