基于对稀土协同强化金属陶瓷机制的认知不足问题,本研究通过X射线衍射(XRD)、场发射扫描电子显微镜(FESEM)及电子探针微区分析(EPMA)等,系统探讨了La_(2)O_(3)、Y_(2)O_(3)双掺杂对Fe/FeAl_(2)O_(4)金属陶瓷微观结构以及力学性能的耦合... 基于对稀土协同强化金属陶瓷机制的认知不足问题,本研究通过X射线衍射(XRD)、场发射扫描电子显微镜(FESEM)及电子探针微区分析(EPMA)等,系统探讨了La_(2)O_(3)、Y_(2)O_(3)双掺杂对Fe/FeAl_(2)O_(4)金属陶瓷微观结构以及力学性能的耦合作用。结果表明:La^(3+)优先固溶于FeAl_(2)O_(4)晶格,而Y^(3+)主要富集于晶界形成玻璃网状结构。与未掺杂稀土相比,当La_(2)O_(3)、Y_(2)O_(3)质量分数分别为0.2%和0.5%时,FeAl_(2)O_(4)相的平均晶粒尺寸由28.56 nm降低至27.03 nm。此时材料综合性能最优:相对密度为99.96%,维氏硬度为3766 HV,抗弯强度为138.9 MPa,较未掺杂稀土的样品分别提高4.1%、12.3%和18.6%。机理分析表明,双稀土协同效应促使La-Y-Si-O复合硅酸盐原位生成,La-Y-Si-O相以棒状微晶的形态,通过钉扎效应抑制晶粒粗化,促进相对密度提升,从而提升力学性能。本研究为稀土改性金属陶瓷提供了新的设计策略。 展开更多

Effects of VC/Cr3C2 on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti(C,N)-based cermets were studied. The microstructure was investigated by means of optical microscopy, X-ray diffractometry as well as scanning electron microscopy in combination with energy dispersive spectrometry. Mechanical properties, such as transverse rupture strength, hardness and fracture toughness, were measured. The results show that there are black core-grey rim structure and white core-grey rim structure in the microstructure. The grains become fine due to the VC/Cr3C2, and the grains of cermet added with 0.75VC/0.25Cr3C2 are refined most remarkably. The black core becomes finer with the increase of VC addition and rim phase becomes thicker with the decrease of Cr3C2 addition. The porosity increases with the increase of VC addition in VC/Cr3C2. Compared with the cermet free of VC/Cr3C2, the transverse rupture strength and hardness of cermets with VC/Cr3C2 are both improved, and the maximum values are both found for the cermet with 0.25VC/0.75Cr3C2. The fracture toughness can be effectively promoted by adding VC/Cr3C2 with an appropriate ratio of VC to Cr3C2, and the maximum value is found for the cermet with 0.5VC/0.5Cr3C2. 展开更多

A comparative study on the corrosion resistance of 17Ni/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet inert anode prepared in differentsintering atmospheres was conducted in Na3AlF6-Al2O3 melt. The results indicate that the corrosion rates of NiFe2O4-based cermetanodes prepared in the vacuum and the atmosphere with oxygen content of 2×10^-3 (volume fraction) are 6.46 and 2.71 cm/a,respectively. Though there is a transition layer with lots of holes or pores, a densified layer is formed on the surface of anode due tosome reactions producing aluminates. For the anode prepared in the atmosphere with oxygen content of 2×10^-3, the thickness of thedensification layer (about 50 μm) is thicker than that (about 30 μm) formed on the surface of anode prepared in the vacuum. Thecontents of NiO and Fe(II) in NiFe2xO4-y-z increase with the decrease of oxygen content in sintering atmosphere, which reduces thecorrosion resistance of the material. 展开更多

NiFe2O4-10NiO-based cermet inert anodes for aluminium electrolysis were prepared and their properties were investigated in a lab-scale electrolysis cell. The results show that the inert anodes exhibit good performance during electrolysis in molten salt cryolite at 960 °C, but according to the analyses of phase compositions and microstructures through XRD, SEM/EDX and metallographic analysis, the metal in the anodes is preferentially corroded and many pores are produced on the anode surface after electrolysis. The preferential dissolution of Fe in the NiFe2O4 phase may lead to the non-uniform corrosion of NiFe2O4 grains. Moreover, a dense protective layer of NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 is formed on the anode surface, which originates from the reaction of Al2O3 dissolved in the electrolyte with NiO or FeO, the annexation of NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 to NiO and volume expansion. Thus, the dense NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 layer inhibits the metal loss and ceramic-phase corrosion on the surface of the cermet inert anodes. 展开更多

In this study, TiB 2 cermet and TiAl based alloy are vacuum brazed successfully by using Ag Cu Ti filler metal. The microstructural analyses indicate that two reaction products, Ti(Cu, Al) 2 and Ag based solid solution (Ag(s.s)), are present in the brazing seam, and the interface structure of the brazed joint is TiB 2/TiB 2+ Ag(s.s) /Ag(s.s)+Ti(Cu, Al) 2/Ti(Cu, Al) 2/TiAl. The experimental results show that the shear strength of the brazed TiB 2/TiAl joints decreases as the brazing time increases at a definite brazing temperature. When the joint is brazed at 1 223 K for 5 min , a joint strength up to 173 MPa is achieved. 展开更多

(Cu-Ni)/(10NiO-90NiFe204) cermet inert anodes containing metal Cu-Ni0, 5, 10, 15 and 20 wt pct were prepared and their corrosion resistance to Na3AlF6-Al2O3 melts was investigated. The results indicate that the content of metal Cu-Ni has little effect on the steady-state concentration of Ni in the electrolyte and the values could not be used to effectively differentiate their corrosion resistance. The steady-state concentration of Fe decreases from 304×10^-6 to 168×10^-6 and that of Cu increases from 21×10^-6 to 71×10^-6 with the content of metal Cu-Ni increasing from 0 to 20 wt pct. Post-examination shows that metallic phase Cu-Ni is corroded preferentially during electrolysis and many pores are left at the anode surface. Considering the corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity, the cermet containing metal Cu-Ni 5 wt pct should be selected and studied further. 展开更多

The resuits show that the metallic phase species in cermets have no effect on the concentration of impurities in bath during electrolysis, the total steady-state concentration of impurities is almost the same, i.e. between 4.12 × 10^-4- 4.80 × 10^-4. There exists metal preferential corrosion for the cermet inert anode with metal Ni as metallic phase. For NiFe2 O4-based cermets, the cermet with metal Cu as metallic phase exhibits better corrosion resistance than the others. 展开更多

The effects of BaO addition ... xNi/10NiO-NiFe2O4 (x=5, 10, 17) cermets and those doped with 1% BaO (mass fraction) were prepared by cold isostatic pressing at 200 MPa and sintering in nitrogen atmosphere at 1 473 K. The effects of BaO addition on relative density, microstructure and electric conductivity of cermets were investigated. The results show that relative densities ofxNi/10NiO-NiFe2O4 cermets (x=5, 10, 17) doped with 1% BaO at 1 473 K in nitrogen atmosphere are increased by 0.49%, 1.45% and 2.99% compared with those of the undoped BaO cermets, respectively. Moreover, the electric conductivities (21.98, 28.37 and 50.10 S/cm) of xNi/10NiO-NiFe2O4 cermets (x=5, 10, 17) doped with 1% BaO at 1 233 K are improved compared with those (18.70, 22.79 and 39.58 S/cm) of xNi/lONiO-NiFe2O4 cermets (x=5, 10, 17), respectively. This indicates that perhaps the addition of BaO or formation of BaFe204 and Ba2Fe2O5 has an active effect on electric conductivities ofxNi/10NiO-NiFe2O4 (x=5, 10, 17) cermets. 展开更多

The electrochemical corrosion behavior of Ti(C,N)-based cermets with different Mo2C additions was investigated in freely aerated 10% H2SO4 and potentiodynamic polarization of all the materials was conducted from -0.5 to 1.5 V. There are two passive regions for all polarization curves. The first should be attributed to passive film formation due to Ti(C,N), while the second may be due to the presence of Ni. Corrosion current density increases with M02C content increasing, from 2.06×10^-3 to 6.70×10^-3 mA/cm2. It is indicated that the corrosion resistance of Ti(C,N)-based cermets decreases with the increase of Mo2C addition. A skeleton of Ti(C,N) gains is observed after dissolution of Ni. The inner rim of cermets, rich in Mo2C, is corroded along with Ni binder and is more serious with the increase of Mo2C content. The secondary carbide Mo2C can be oxidized and dissolved in sulphuric acid. 展开更多

Y2O3-doped TiCN-based cermets were prepared by pressureless sintering with powders TiC, TiN, Ni, etc. as main starting materials. The influence of sintering processes and Y2O3 on properties of TiCN-based cermets were investigated. The phase composition of TiCN-based cermets almost had no change with Y2O3 addition. The fullly densified TiCN-based cermets were achieved by P-2 sitering process. The fracture surface showed lots of small dimples caused by hard phase particles pulling-off, and the left hard phase particles were attached to the arborous dendritic matrix. The Vickers hardness, fracture toughness and bending strength of TiCN-based cermets increased firstly and then decreased with the increment of Y2O3 content. When Y2O3 contents were both 0.8 wt.%, compared with the P-1 sintered samples, the Vickers hardness, fracture toughness and bending strength of the P-2 sintered sampies reached 14.84 GPa, 8.66 MPa-m1/2 and 660.4 MPa, which were increased by 7.9%, 6.1% and 45.8%, respectively. 展开更多

Cu/(10NiO-NiFe2O4) cermets containing mass fractions of Cu of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% were prepared, and their electrical conductivities were measured at different temperatures. The effects of temperature and content of metal Cu on the electrical conductivity were investigated especially. The results indicate that the metallic phase Cu distributes evenly in 10NiO-NiFe2O4 ceramic matrix. The mechanism of electrical conductivity of Cu/(10NiO-NiFe2O4) cermets obeys the rule of electrical mechanism of semiconductor, the electrical conductivity for cermet containing 5% Cu increases from 2.70 to 20.41 S/cm with temperature increasing from 200 to 900 ℃. The change trend of electrical conductivity with temperature is similar with each other and it increases with increasing temperature and content of metal Cu. At 960 ℃, the electrical conductivity of cermet increases from 2.88 to 82.65 S/cm with the content of metal Cu increasing from 0 to 20%. 展开更多

The CaO-doped Cu/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet inert anodes were prepared by the cold isostatie pressing-sintering process, and their corrosion resistance to Na3AlF6-K3AlF6-Al203 melt was studied. The results show that the relative density of 5Cu/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet sintered at 1 200 ℃ increases from 82.83% to 97.63% when 2% CaO (mass fraction) is added. During the electrolysis, the relative density of cermet inert anode descends owing to the chemical dissolution of additive CaO at ceramic grain boundary, which accelerates the penetration of electrolyte. Thus, the corrosion resistance to melts of Cu/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet inert anode is reduced. To improve the corrosion resistance of the cermet inert anode, the content of CaO doped should be decreased and the technology of cleaning the ceramic grain boundary should be applied. 展开更多

Composite powders of nanocrystalline WC-10Co (15wt%),Y2O3 (8mol%) stabilized nanocrystalline ZrO2 (30wt%),industrial cobalt powder (4.5wt%) and submicron Al2O3 (55wt%) composite powders were fabricated by high-energy ball-milling process.The nanocomposite powders were consolidated by microwave sintering process at temperature ranged 1300℃-1550℃ for 15min,respectively.The optimum consolidation conditions,such as temperature,were researched during microwave sintering process.Vickers Hardness of the consolidated cermets was measured by using a Vickers indentation test,and density of specimens was also determined by Archimedes' principle.Microwave sintering process could not only increase the density of Al2O3-ZrO2-WC-Co cermets and reduce the porosity,but also inhibit abnormal grain growth. 展开更多

The effects of technological param... 4.25Cu-0.75Ni/NiFe2O4 cermets were prepared by doping NiFe2O4 ceramic matrix with the mixed powders of Cu and Ni or Cu-Ni alloy powder as the electrical conducting metallic elements. The effects of technological parameters, such as the adding modes of metallic elements, the ball milling time, the sintering time and the sintering temperature, on the relative density and resistivity of the cermets were studied. The results show that the resistivity of 4.25Cu-0.75Ni/NiFe2O4 cermets decreases with increasing temperature, and has a turning point at 590℃, which is similar to that of NiFe2O4 ceramic. The sintering temperature and adding modes of metallic elements have a great influence on the properties of 4.25Cu-0.75Ni/NiFe2O4 cermets. When the sintering temperature increases from 1200℃ to 1300℃, the relative density increases from 89.86% to 95.33%, and the resistivity at 960℃ decreases from 0.11Ω·cm to 0.03Ω·cm, respectively. When the metallic elements are added with the mixed powders of Cu and Ni, the cermets of finely and uniformly dispersed metallic phase, high density and electric conductivity are obtained. The relative density and resistivity at 960℃ are 90.23% and 0.04Ω·cm respectively for the cermet samples sintered at 1200℃ for 2h, which are both better than those of the cermets prepared under the same technique conditions but with the metallic elements added as 85Cu-15Ni alloy powders. 展开更多
