Negative electrodes of the Ni-metal hydride battery were made from hydrogen storage alloy Mm0.9Ti0. 1Ni3. 9Mn0.4Co0.4Al0.3 mod fied by coating with Ni or mixing with Co powder. The cell volume expansion of hexagonal structure was about 12 % after coating with 11 % Ni on the alloy Surface,When this alloy was mixed with Co powder. the discharge capacity and the utilization efficiency of the hydrogen storage alloy increased. When the alloy was coated with 11 wt-% Ni and also mixed with 10 wt-% Co powder. the capacity decay for a small sealed cylindrical cell (AA size. 1 Ah) was only about 4 % after 200 cycles 展开更多

An improved algorithm is associated into the network in order to enhance the optimization rate and predictability of the network. Two different methods were supplied to improve the generalization of the network. With this improved neural network, the properties of the AB_5-based hydrogen-storage alloys, the initial discharge capacity and capacity retention ratios after charge-discharge cycles, were predicted. The relaxation oscillation of the phase change memory (PCM) devices based on the Ge2Sb2Te5 material is investigated by applying square current pulses. The relaxation oscillation of the phase change memory (PCM) devices based on the Ge2Sb2Te5 material is investigated by applying square current pulses. The current pulses with different amplitudes could be accurately given by the independently designed current testing system. The relaxation oscillation across the PCM device could be measured using an oscilloscope. The oscillation duration decreases with time, showing an inner link with the shrinking threshold voltage Vth. However, the relaxation oscillation would not terminate until the remaining voltage Von reaches the holding voltage Vh. This demonstrates that the relaxation oscillation might be controlled by Von. The increasing current amplitudes could only quicken the oscillation velocity but not be able to eliminate it, which indicates that the relaxation oscillation might be an inherent behavior for the PCM cell. 展开更多

The degradation of La 0.8 Pr 0.2 Ni 3.55 Co 0.75 Mn 0.4 Al 0.3 alloy electrode during charge discharge cycles was studied with analytical electron microscope (AEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). During the cycles, the alloy particles of the negative electrode were pulverized gradually. After 200 cycles, the pulverizing process basically ended and the larger particles were pulverized to below 10 μm. The particles were oxided at the rate of about 0.1 μm/100 times cycles. The oxide layer was porous and consisted of the La(OH) 3 and oxides of Pr, Co and Ni. Most of Pr, Mn and almost all of Al in the oxide layer were dissolved into the electrolyte. The oxidation of the alloy particles was one of the main factors of the decay of the discharge capacity of the negative electrode during the cycles. 展开更多

SnO2-based varistor samples doped with Co2O3,Nb2O5 and Cr2O3 were prepared by ball-mixed oxide method.The microstructure,nonlinear I-V characteristic and surge current performances of these samples were investigated.This paper mainly focused on the dependence of the residual voltage ratio behavior of SnO2-based varistors on Nb2O5 addition,different factors influencing the residual voltage ratio in different concentration of Nb2O5 were analyzed.The Nb2O5 addition influences its residual voltage ratio by changing the grain size,forming defects(especially the free electrons) and cumulative effect.The measured results indicated that the optimally obtained sample with 0.07mol% Nb2O5 possesses the lowest residual voltage ratio of 1.86,the corresponding nonlinear coefficient and the threshold electric field are 42.6 and 364.6 V/mm,respectively. 展开更多

The effect of small changes in sintering temperature on microstructure, electrical properties, dielectric characteristics, and degradation behavior of V-Mn-Nb-Gd co-doped zinc oxide ceramics was investigated. With the increase of sintering temperature, the densities of the sintered pellets decreased from 5.54 to 5.42 g/cm3 and the average grain size increased from 4.1 to 11.7 μm. The breakdown field(E1 m A) decreased noticeably from 7138 to 920 V/cm with the increase of sintering temperature. The varistor ceramics sintered at 900 ℃ exhibited excellent nonohmic properties, which were 66 for the nonohmic coefficient and 77 μA/cm2 for the leakage current density. Concerning stability, the varistors sintered at 900 ℃ exhibited the strongest accelerated degradation characteristics, with ΔE1 mA =-9.2% for DC accelerated degradation stress of 0.85 E1 m A at 85 °C for 24 h. 展开更多

Mini-LED backlights,combining color conversion materials with blue mini-LED chips,promise traditional liquid crystal displays(LCDs)with higher luminance,better contrast,and a wider color gamut.However,as color conversion materials,quantum dots(QDs)are toxic and unstable,whereas commercially available inorganic phosphors are too big in size to combine with small mini-LED chips and also have strong size-dependence of quantum efficiency(QE)and reliability.In this work,we prepare fine-grained Sr_(2)Si_(5)N_(8):Eu^(2+)-based red phosphors with high efficiency and stability by treating commercially available phosphors with ball milling,centrifuging,and acid washing.The particle size of phosphors can be easily controlled by milling speed,and the phosphors with a size varying from 3.5 to 0.7 mm are thus obtained.The samples remain the same QE as the original ones(~80%)even when their particle size is reduced to 3.2-3.5 mm,because they contain fewer surface suspension bond defects.More importantly,SrBaSi_(5)N_(8):Eu^(2+)phosphors show a size-independent thermal quenching behavior and a zero thermal degradation.We demonstrate that red-emitting mini-LEDs can be fabricated by combining the SrBaSi_(5)N_(8):Eu^(2+)red phosphor(3.5 mm in size)with blue mini-LED chips,which show a high external quantum efficiency(EQE)of above 31%and a super-high luminance of 34.3 Mnits.It indicates that fine and high efficiency phosphors can be obtained by the proposed method in this work,and they have great potentials for use in mini-LED displays. 展开更多
