文摘Cancer significantly impacts patients'physical and mental health, leading to a wide range of effects from physical pain to psychological issues such as anxiety and depression, severely diminishing their quality of life.As an emerging psychosomatic intervention, mindfulness interventions have gained increasing attention. This scoping review systematically searches and filters relevant literature, covering databases from their inception to January 2025,aiming to comprehensively outline the application, research characteristics, and main outcomes of mindfulness interventions in cancer recovery. We employed the Arksey and O'Malley framework, utilizing electronic databases and manual searches to rigorously select studies and extract key data. Results indicate that mindfulness interventions show broad potential in improving cancer patients'mental health, physical symptoms, and quality of life, despite the heterogeneity of the evidence.Future research should focus on higher-quality randomized controlled trials to explore different intervention modalities and long-term effects and to analyze their underlying mechanisms. This paper particularly highlights the advancements in Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery, providing valuable references for clinical practice.
文摘This study examined the relationships among workplace spirituality, mindfulness, mental well-being,and organizational commitment in professional female dancers.A total of 424 dancers from the United States participated in the survey.Structural equation modeling indicated that workplace spirituality was positively associated with both mental well-being and organizational commitment, whereas mindfulness was significantly related only to organizational commitment.Mental well-being was a significant predictor of organizational commitment and mediated the relationship between workplace spirituality and organizational commitment, but not between mindfulness and commitment. These results suggest that workplace spirituality functions as a psychological resource that enhances emotional health and strengthens organizational engagement.Thesefindings are consistent with self-determination theory, highlighting the role of value congruence and intrinsic purpose in sustaining motivation in high-performance contexts. Moreover, the studyfindings underscore the importance of fostering spiritually supportive work environments to promote psychological well-being and long-term organizational commitment.
文摘Background:considering the significant issue of learning burnout among university students,it is essential to investigate the connection between mindfulness and learning burnout. This systematic review and metaanalysis sought to thoroughly examine the direct and indirect relationships betweenmindfulness and learning burnout. Methods:a comprehensive literature search was conducted in Scopus,Google Scholar, and Web of Science databases until 07 July 2024.A comprehensive literature review analysis of 19 articles was included, which identified three dimensions of learning burnout:emotions, behaviors, and outcomes, determined the indirect and direct relationships between mindfulness and learning burnout, and outlined the indirect relationship between mindfulness and learning burnout. This meta-analysis incorporated data from nine studies, encompassing a total of 5227 university students experiencing learning burnout. Results:the findings revealed a significant negative correlation between mindfulness and learning burnout, with a correlation coefficient of r=-0.396,(98.6%CI[-0.521,-0.272]).Additionally,a notable negative relationship was observed between mindfulness and emotional exhaustion, characterized by a correlation coefficient of r=-0.281,(98.0%CI[-0.438,-0.123]).It also found that mindfulness indirectly influenced learning burnout by other factors(such as self-efficacy,social support, and so on). However, the empirical analysis of the indirect relationship is not supported by sufficient meta-data.Conclusion:this study indicates that there is a significant and negative direct relationship or some indirect correlation between learning burnout and mindfulness, which may affect learning burnout through internal and external factors. These results also highlight the urgent need for a more in-depth exploration of the indirect mechanisms influencing the relationship between mindfulness and learning burnout.
文摘This letter discusses the study by Liu et al recently published in World Journal of Psychiatry, which examines the benefits of combining epirubicin(EPI)with mindfulness interventions for patients with urinary system tumors and depre-ssion.The study included 110 patients and compared an experimental group receiving EPI and a mindfulness intervention strategy with a control group treated with mitomycin and standard care. Results showed that the experimental group had significant improvements in immune function, tumor markers, depression severity, quality of life,cancer-related fatigue, and nursing satisfac-tion.Despite acknowledging the study limitations such as a relatively small sample size and a short duration, the study highlights the efficacy of integrating mindfulness interventions into cancer treatment strategies to enhance patient outcomes and address psychological distress.

文摘Background:Foreign Language Anxiety(FLA)represents a substantial affective barrier that undermines cognitive performance, motivation, and retention in language learners.Emerging evidence highlights mindfulness-based interventions as promising strategies for enhancing emotional regulation and reducing anxiety across educational contexts. This review synthesizes current research on mindfulness as a psychological intervention, aims to evaluate its efficacy in alleviating FLA,and discusses its broader implications for health-focused educational policy and practice. Methods:Following PRISMA guidelines,we systematically reviewed studies examining the relationships between mindfulness and FLA.Our search of four major databases(November 2023)initially identified 346 articles using terms like“mindfulness AND language anxiety.”After screening,14 studies met our criteria:(1)empirical research in English on mindfulness-FLA relationships;(2)no publication date restrictions. Two independent reviewers selected studies, excluding two due to methodological limitations. We conducted a narrative synthesis given the study heterogeneity(9 correlational and 5 intervention studies).Results:9 non-intervention studies demonstrated that mindfulness is negatively associated with FLA,with 3 studies highlighting the mediating roles of self-efficacy and resilience.5 intervention studies reported inconsistent results regarding the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions in reducing FLA.Conclusions:The findings suggest that while mindfulness holds promise as a tool to address FLA,its mechanisms and effectiveness require further investigation. This study underscores the need for rigorous research, including Randomized Controlled Trials(RCTs),to inform evidence-based integration of mindfulness into foreign language curricula. For educational policymakers and practitioners, these insights highlight the importance of adopting mindfulness interventions cautiously, ensuring they are tailored to students’needs and supported by evidence.
文摘Background:Community-based first responders face high levels of workplace stressors that can pro-foundly impact their physical and mental health.Mindfulness-based interventions have shown promise in decreasing stress and increasing psychological resilience;however, implementation is difficult due to unpredictability of the job, department culture, and generational preferences. The objective of this qualitative study was to identify and enhance understanding of the specific needs and potential barriers and facilitators for the implementation of mindfulness-based programming for community-based first responders. Methods:A phenomenological qualitative study design was used to gain insights into the lived experiences of first responders and elicit perceptions regarding barriers and facilitators for engaging in mindfulness activities.During virtual semi-structured interviews, eleven career firefighters and emergency medical service(EMS)providers offered feedback relative to worksite mindfulness practices, and the use of a stress reduction smartphone application. The Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research was used to guide the analysis relative to barriers and facilitators of implementation success and sustainability. Results:First responders expressed openness to mindfulness-based interventions and a smartphone app that would provide stress reduction content, however, they were adamant that programming needed to be accessible and easily integrated into their workday. They also reinforced that organizational culture and leadership support for their health and well-being were overarching factors essential for implementation success. Conclusions:First responders were supportive of evidence-based mindfulness practices, optimally developed and/or facilitated by someone with intimate knowledge of their unique work environments and challenges.Organizational culture and leadership support were essential for implementation success and sustainability.
文摘BACKGROUND Perinatal anxiety disorder is the main problem affecting mother-infant bonding.Though the impact of perinatal anxiety in primiparous women on the motherinfant relationship is well established, appropriate interventions need to be explored.AIM To explore the synergistic intervention effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction combined with cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT)on perinatal anxiety disorders and mother-infant bonding in primiparas.METHODS A total of 150 primiparas with perinatal anxiety disorders admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to October 2024 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number method. The control group(n=75)received CBT,and the observation group(n=75)received mindfulness-based stress reduction combined with CBT.The anxiety and depressive emotions,as well as the mother-infant emotional bonding situation, were compared between the two groups.RESULTS After the intervention, the anxiety and depressive states in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The mother-infant bonding(sense of pleasure, recognition, understanding, and love)in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the role adaptation ability was also higher than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Mindfulness-based stress reduction combined with CBT can reduce perinatal anxiety disorders in primiparas, promote mother-infant bonding, and improve their ability to adapt to the mother role.
文摘BACKGROUND Although transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)is an effective treatment for liver cancer, clinical practice has shown that many patients experience significant psychological distress following the procedure, which can hinder postoperative recovery and prognosis. Therefore, effective and evidence-based interventions are urgently needed to address this issue.AIM To evaluate the impact of nursing quality-sensitive indicators combined with mindfulness-based stress reduction(MBSR)interventions in patients undergoing TACE.METHODS A total of 84 patients who underwent TACE from June 2022 to March 2024 were enrolled in the study. They were randomly assigned to either the observation group(n=42),which received nursing quality-sensitive indicator-based care combined with MBSR intervention,or the control group(n=42),which received routine care combined with MBSR intervention.Psychological stress response levels[assessed using the Trait Meta-Mood Scale(TMMS)],coping strategies[measured with the Jalowiec Coping Scale(JCS)],quality of care[evaluated using the Perceived Nursing Service Quality(PNSQ)scale],and overall patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.RESULTS After 4 weeks, the observation group demonstrated significantly higher TMMS scores,as well as increased optimism,support-seeking,bravery,PNSQ scores, and satisfaction(P<0.05).In contrast, scores for selfdependence, conservatism, resignation, and avoidance in the JCS were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The combination of nursing quality-sensitive indicators and MBSR intervention in TACE patients not only reduces psychological stress and encourages a more positive attitude toward illness but also enhances nursing quality and improves the overall patient experience.
