Trochoidal milling is known for its advantages in machining difficult-to-machine materials as it facilitates chip removal and tool cooling.However,the conventional trochoidal tool path presents challenges such as lower machining efficiency and longer machining time due to its time-varying cutter-workpiece engagement angle and a high percentage of non-cutting tool paths.To address these issues,this paper introduces a parameter-variant trochoidal-like(PVTR)tool path planning method for chatter-free and high-efficiency milling.This method ensures a constant engagement angle for each tool path period by adjusting the trochoidal radius and step.Initially,the nonlinear equation for the PVTR toolpath is established.Then,a segmented recurrence method is proposed to plan tool paths based on the desired engagement angle.The impact of trochoidal tool path parameters on the engagement angle is analyzed and coupled this information with the milling stability model based on spindle speed and engagement angle to determine the desired engagement angle throughout the machining process.Finally,several experimental tests are carried out using the bull-nose end mill to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Today city planners are confronted with two global trends:on one hand,living space is getting less due to urbanization;on the other hand,demands on living space are constantly rising as for example through stricter climate and energy political objectives based on the Paris Agreement.Therefore,it will be necessary to take into account—near urban planning and social aspects—also the climate compatibility as one central aspect in the construction of buildings,settlements,districts or neighborhoods.To identify and to push successful concepts,Austria has developed a planning tool that allows planning,assessing and ensuring high quality standards of neighborhoods.As the tool has been highly successful,additional planning tools are being developed for specific topics such as“PED—Positive Energy Districts”,“NEB—New European Bauhaus”and“CND—Climate Neutral Districts”.Central quantitative and qualitative criteria—which have been elaborated in the recent years—will be presented in this paper. 展开更多

The problem of finished surface being not first-order continuous commonly exists in machining sculptured surfaces with a torus cutter and some other types of cutters. To solve this problem, a dual drive curve tool path planning method is proposed in this article. First, the maximum machining strip width of a whole tool path can be obtained through optimizing each tool position with multi-point machining (MPM) method. Second, two drive curves are then determined according to the obtained maximum machining strip width. Finally, the tool is positioned once more along the dual drive curve under the condition of tool path smoothness. A computer simulation and cutting experiments are carried out to testify the performance of the new method. The machined surface is measured with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to examine the machining quality. The results obtained show that this method can effectively eliminate sharp scallops between adjacent tool paths, keep tool paths smooth, and improve the surface machining quality as well as machining efficiency. 展开更多

The intersection state transition rule is improved in this algorithm. The intersection is between the trimmed offsets and Voronoi polygon. On this basis, the trimmed offset generating and the optimal tool path planning are mad e with three stacks(I stack, C stack and P stack)in different monotonous pouches of Voronoi diagram. At the same time, a merging method of Voronoi diagram an d offsets generating for multiply connected polygonal domains is also presented. This paper focuses on participatory testing of decision making tools (DMTs) at village level to assist in development of land use plans (LUPs) for sustainable land management (SLM) in Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania. Data were collected using conditional surveys through key informant interviews with the project’s district stakeholders in each district, focused group discussions with selected villagers and participatory mapping of natural resources. Soil health, land degradation, carbon stock, and hydrological conditions were assessed in the seven pilot villages in all seven districts using DMTs as part of testing and validation. Results indicated soils of poor to medium health, and land degradation as portrayed by gullies and wind erosion in lowlands and better in uplands. Carbon and forest disturbance status could not be assessed using one-year data but hydrological analysis revealed that water resources were relatively good in uplands and poor in the lowlands. Challenges with regard to land use include increased gully erosion, decreased stream flow, reduced vegetation cover due to shifting from coffee with tree sheds to annual crops farming, cultivation near water sources, and overgrazing. Empowering the community with decision making tools at village level is essential to ensure that village land uses are planned in a participatory manner for sustainable land and natural resources management in Kilimanjaro and other regions in Tanzania. 展开更多

In community planning,due to the lack of evidence regarding the selection of media tools,this study examines how a common but differentiated ideal speech situation can be created as well as how more appropriate media tools can be defined and selected in the community planning process.First,this study describes the concept and theoretical basis of media used in community planning from the perspectives of the multiple effects of media evolution on communicative planning.Second,the classification criteria and typical characteristics of media tools used to support community planning are clarified from three dimensions:acceptability,cost effectiveness,and applicability.Third,strategies for applying media tools in the four phases of communicative planning-namely,state analysis,problem identification,contradictory solution and optimization-are described.Finally,trends in the development of media tools for community planning are explored in terms of multistakeholder engagement,supporting scientific decision-making and multiple-type media integration.The results provide a reference for developing more inclusive,effective,and appropriate media tools for enhancing decision-making capacity and modernizing governance in community planning and policy-making processes. 展开更多

The historic centres revitalization addresses the challenges related to the preservation of fundamental heritage values. At a time, when everyone looks with concern to our cities' future, it is important to reflect on the received heritage, seeking the most appropriate answers to the planning of the historic centres. These fabrics are reference places in the urban space, due to their role of memorial testimony and of generators of cultural and economic dynamics. However, often times, inherited urban fabrics are affected by the limitations of the heritage policies which, for being too general and based on theoretical and abstract frameworks, have difficulty incorporating the characteristics of each area and neglect the formulation of specific criteria and intervention methods. The purpose of this paper is to provide a comparative reading of the levels of urban renewal allowed by the planning tools. This study chooses two historic centers in Portugal: Oporto and Guimarfies historic centres (World Heritage Sites since 1996 and 2001, respectively, and were the last to get this classification in Portugal). This reflection is a contribution to peer trends and raise the discussion on the role that the different heritage policies have to the revitalization of the historic centres. 展开更多

This study presents a straightforward method to teach robots to use tools.Teaching robots is crucial in quickly deploying and reconfiguring robots in next-generation factories.Conventional methods require third-party systems like wearable devices or complicated vision system to capture,analyse,and map human grasps,motion,and tool poses to robots.These systems assume lots of experience from their users.Unlike the conventional methods,this study does not involve learning human motion and skills.Instead,it only learns the object goal poses from the human user whilst employs regrasp planning to generate robot motion.The method is most suitable for a robot to learn the usage of electric tools that can be operated by simply switching on and off.The proposed method is validated using a dual-arm robot with hand-mounted cameras and several tools.Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust,feasible,and simple to teach robots.It can find a collision-free and kino-dynamic feasible grasp sequences and motion trajectories when the goal pose is reachable.The method allows the robot to automatically choose placements or handover considering the surrounding environment as intermediate states to change the pose of the tool and use tools following human demonstrations. 展开更多

China has achieved economic growth while great carbon emissions reduction in recent years. Amid China's effort to reduce emissions, the Five-Year Plans have guided and motivated local and foreign forces from the government, industries, and society to work together. This paper showed that a mediumehigh economic growth gate, industry structure adjustment, and energy structure adjustment, which are guaranteed under the Five-Year Plan, all contribute to energy saving in China. The economy entered a stable growing phase during the 12 th Five-Year Plan, while the economic growth rate declined to 7.8% from 11.2% in the 11 th Five-Year Plan. Simultaneously, the CO2 emissions growth rate declined from8.32%(2009-2012 mean) to 1.82%(2012-2014 mean). Industrial structure adjustment canceled out nearly one-third of the CO2 emissions caused by economic growth. Under the 13 th Five-Year Plan, China will continue its energy saving efforts on the green development path, with greener quotas, a stricter implementation process, and more key projects. 展开更多

Cooperative Optimization of Reconfigurable Machine Tool Configurations and Production Process Plan 被引量:1

The production process plan design and configurations of reconfigurable machine tool (RMT) interact with each other. Reasonable process plans with suitable configurations of RMT help to improve product quality and reduce production cost. Therefore, a cooperative strategy is needed to concurrently solve the above issue. In this paper, the cooperative optimization model for RMT configurations and production process plan is presented. Its objectives take into account both impacts of process and configuration. Moreover, a novel genetic algorithm is also developed to provide optimal or near-optimal solutions: firstly, its chromosome is redesigned which is composed of three parts, operations, process plan and configurations of RMTs, respectively; secondly, its new selection, crossover and mutation operators are also developed to deal with the process constraints from operation processes (OP) graph, otherwise these operators could generate illegal solutions violating the limits; eventually the optimal configurations for RMT under optimal process plan design can be obtained. At last, a manufacturing line case is applied which is composed of three RMTs. It is shown from the case that the optimal process plan and configurations of RMT are concurrently obtained, and the production cost decreases 6.28% and nonmonetary performance increases 22%. The proposed method can figure out both RMT configurations and production process, improve production capacity, functions and equipment utilization for RMT. 展开更多

This paper addresses the integrated processes of planning and scheduling of projects using technologies advanced tools as means for managing change in the era of the 4IR.The paper explores the traditional project management planning and scheduling tools in conjunction with what technology has to offer,to bridge the gap between the traditional project management planning and scheduling tools and what the modern-day business market demands.An analysis of literature covering a wide range of theoretic and empirical studies was performed.The theories underlying various planning and scheduling methods were analysed in relation to the design of projects.A descriptive quantitative secondary data was used as a tool to assess the impact of technology on project planning for scheduling.The analysis of the study’s data was conducted using the principles of cross-tabulation.Inferences were drawn on the significant impact of the use of advanced technological tools on project planning for scheduling in current business time.Organisations can make use of the findings of this study to correctly apply the available advanced technological tools for more efficient schedule management planning to enhance the successful delivery of their projects.Further,this research can be used to provide learning opportunities for new and inexperienced planners and schedulers,and as a basis for further research in this field of knowledge. 展开更多

少样本提示驱动的即插即用式复杂任务处理方法

随着大语言模型在复杂任务推理决策领域展现出巨大潜力,越来越多的研究聚焦于如何使用大模型进行任务规划和工具调用。为了达到较好的效果,大多数方法要求对模型进行微调,而优质训练数据总是稀缺,导致这些方法不能快速在领域落地应用。... 随着大语言模型在复杂任务推理决策领域展现出巨大潜力,越来越多的研究聚焦于如何使用大模型进行任务规划和工具调用。为了达到较好的效果,大多数方法要求对模型进行微调,而优质训练数据总是稀缺,导致这些方法不能快速在领域落地应用。为应对上述问题,提出一种少样本提示驱动的即插即用式复杂任务处理方法(plug-and-play method for complex task handling with few-shot prompting,PnP-FSP)。该方法完全采用少样本提示进行复杂任务分析处理,无需开展大模型微调。为使该方法在垂直领域快速应用,提出基于任务规划参考库的任务规划策略,将参考库中与用户问题相似的用例作为提示上下文,辅助完成领域复杂问题的快速规划。同时,引入基于前序任务结果的后续任务调整机制,有效解决一步规划方法强调任务规划的全局性而忽略任务执行过程中动态变化的问题。此外,该方法对任务规划、工具调用等复杂任务处理流程解耦,可根据实际需要选择优势大模型,以即插即用的方式实现大模型集优协同,完成目标任务。实验结果表明,在对监督数据依赖性显著降低的情况下,PnP-FSP优于主流的复杂任务处理方法。 展开更多
