First, the acoustic match mode principle between the source modes of rotor stator interaction noise and the propagation modes is presented in this paper. Second, by utilizing this principle, the theoretical prediction method for rotor stator interaction noise generation and its propagation and attenuation in an annular duct with multi treatments is developed. That means that the prediction of sound propagation and attenuation in the segmented ducts might no longer completely depend on the in duct mode measurements, and the investigation on the sound propagation and attenuation in ducts can be accomplished not only by acoustic mode measurement, but also by making use of the source prediction to determine the source modes excited by rotor stator interaction. The effects of fan speed, blade/vane numbers, axial spacing between rotor and stator on the in duct sound attenuation and generated sound power level before and after ducts (also including the sound power level of blade passing frequency and its harmonics at the inlet of ducts) have been numerically calculated by using this prediction method. The reliability of this prediction method is verified by reasonable agreement between the predicted results with measured results in references. By analyzing the results of calculating cases, some reference criteria are provided for the engineering design of the suppressing engine nacelle.展开更多

Consequently, this type of size dependency should be accounted for in the mechanical behaviors of nanoscale structures. In the current investigation, the influence of free surface energy on the nonlinear primary resonance of silicon nanoshells under soft harmonic external excitation is studied. In order to obtain more accurate results, the interaction between the first, third, and fifth symmetric vibration modes with the main oscillation mode is taken into consideration. Through the implementation of the Gurtin-Murdoch theory of elasticity into the classical shell theory, a size-dependent shell model is developed incorporating the effect of surface free energy. With the aid of the variational approach, the governing differential equations of motion including both of the cubic and quadratic nonlinearities are derived. Thereafter, the multi-time-scale method is used to achieve an analytical solution for the nonlinear size-dependent problem. The frequency-response and amplitude-response of the soft harmonic excited nanoshells are presented corresponding to different values of shell thickness and surface elastic constants as well as various vibration mode interactions. It is depicted that through consideration of the interaction between the higher symmetric vibration modes and the main oscillation mode, the hardening response of nanoshell changes to the softening one. This pattern is observed corresponding to both of the positive and negative values of the surface elastic constants and the surface residual stress.展开更多

Based on a lumped model, the parabolic-shaped pulse pair is obtained by controlling the intercavity average dispersion and gain saturation energy, Moreover, pulse repulsive and attractive motion are also achieved with different pulse separations. Simulation results show that the phase shift plays an important role in pulse interaction, and the interaction is determined by the inter-cavity average dispersion and gain saturation energy, i.e., the strength of the interaction is proportional to the gain saturation energy, a stronger gain saturation energy will result in a higher interaction intensity. On the contrary, the increase of the inter-cavity dispersion will counterbalance some interaction force. The results also show that the interaction of a parabolic-shaped pulse pair has a larger interaction distance compared to conventional solitons.展开更多

The model Hamiltonian is quantized by introducing the Dyson–Maleev transformation and the coherent state representation is chosen as the basic representation of the system. By making use of the method of multiple scales combined with a quasidiscreteness approximation, the equation of motion for the coherent-state amplitude is reduced to the nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation. It is shown that a bright intrinsic localized spin-wave mode whose eigenfrequency lies below the bottom of the magnon frequency band can exist in the ferromagnetic system. We also show that the system can produce a dark intrinsic localized spin-wave mode, i.e., nonpropagating kink, whose eigenfrequency is below the upper of the magnon frequency band. In addition, we find that the introduction of the Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya interaction changes wave numbers in the Brillouin-zone corresponding to the appearance of intrinsic localized spin-wave modes.展开更多

The symmetry of the Hamiltonian is examined by dual transformations, and various physical quantities as a function of the fermion-fermion interaction U are calculated systematically using the density matrix renormalization group method. A special value of interaction Up is revealed in the topological region of the phase diagram. We show that at Up the ground states are strictly two-fold degenerate even though the chain length is finite and the zero-energy peak due to the Majorana zero modes is maximally enhanced and exactly localized at the end sites. Here Up may be attractive or repulsive depending on other system parameters. We also give a qualitative understanding of the effect of interaction under the self-consistent mean field framework.展开更多

Acoustic mode is crucial for duct propagation but little study about the relation between serration and mode. Thus, taking axial single-turbine test bench NPU-Turb as object, the effect of Stator with Serrated Trailing-edge (Bionic S) and Rotor with Serrated Leading-edge (Bionic R) on duct acoustic modes of turbine turbulence interac-tion noise were studied in detail using DDES/AA hybrid model validated by acoustic experiment of NPU-Turb. Serval conclusions can be made here. First, for broadband noise, the effect of serrations on duct modes (increased or reduced of PWLmn) with the increasing frequency is more prominent. Second, the changing trend of ?PWLmn is something like Chinese character “人” with circumferential mode m and alternating with radial mode. Such distribution is more obvious at higher frequency. More theoretical and mechanistic research work needs to be carried out in depth in the future. .展开更多

文摘The underlying effect of vortex interaction characterized by the merging and non-merging on mixing enhancement is of fundamental significance to understand the flow dynamics of strut injectors in scramjets.Starting from a simplified configuration of a vortex generator, this study focuses on the influence of geometric parameters on vortex structures and fluid mixing through compressible Navier-Stokes(NS)simulations.By adjusting the induction of outer vortices, the inner co-rotating vortex pair exhibits two modes of interaction(merging/separation regime)reflected by closer/farther vortex centers.Defined by the zero variation rate of the inner vortex spacing, the critical state of equilibrium is determined. The critical condition is well predicted by a theoretical model based on the Biot-Savart law.Through the introduction of mixedness and mixing time, the intrinsic impact of interaction modes on fluid mixing is revealed.Compared with the vortex dynamics in the merging regime, the one in the separation regime is more effective for passive scalar mixing augmentation. With efficient material stretching characterized by the higher interface stretching factor and averaging finite-time Lyapunov exponent(FTLE),the mixing time is shortened by as much as 2.5 times in the separation regime. The implication of the present two interaction regimes in mixing enhancement physically reflected by the averaging FTLE has the potential to improve the combustion performance and shorten the combustor chamber.
文摘We consider a triple zero point of nonlinear equations with O(2 symmetry, where the Jacobian has a zero eigenvalue of geometric multiplicity one and algebraic multiplicity three. We show that this triple zero point exhibits a new bifurcation phenomenon, that is, a mode interaction of the following three paths: bifurcation points from steady states, steady states and rotating waves to standing waves, rotating waves and modulated rotating waves respectively.
文摘Quantitative description of vapor-liquid equilibrium is very useful for designing separation processes. In this study, we combined the Peng-Robinson equation and the Huron-Vidal-Orbey-Sandler mixing rule into a modified UNIFAC model for the improvement of predicting vapor-liquid equilibria. The predictions of vapor-liquid equilibria for 62 systems including alcohol- alkane, alcohol-benzene, and amine-water systems demonstrate that the revised parameters remarkably improve the prediction accuracy for many systems. Especially for amine-water system, the mean deviation of components decreases from 0.094 to 0.021, and the mean deviation of pressure from 22.45% to 4.41%.

文摘A reversed phase (RP)/hydrophilic interaction (HILIC)/ion exchange (IEX) mixed tri-mode stationary phase (TMSP) has been prepared via a divergent synthesis scheme starting from propylamine on silica then by amine-epoxy reactions with 1,4-butanedioldiglycidyl ether and tertiary amines (N,Ndimethyldecylamine, DMDA). Its retention mechanism was found to follow RP/HILIC/IEX mixed-mode.The stop-flow test revealed that TMSP had good compatibility with 100% aqueous mobile phase. It demonstrated effective separation towards several kinds of compounds or drug molecules and their counterions within a single run.

文摘The one-dimensional interacting Kitaev chain at half filling is studied. We also give a qualitative understanding of the effect of interaction under the self-consistent mean field framework.
文摘Turbine noise would be one of the dominant noise sources especially in future UHBR (Ultra High Bypass-Ratio) aeroengine, but its currently far from being studied enough. More theoretical and mechanistic research work needs to be carried out in depth in the future. .

文摘To enhance energy interaction among low-voltage stations(LVSs)and reduce the line loss of the distribution network,a novel operation mode of the micro-pumped storage system(mPSS)has been proposed based on the common reservoir.First, some operation modes of mPSS are analyzed, which include the separated reservoir mode(SRM)and common reservoir mode(CRM).Then, based on the SRM,and CRM,an energy mutual assistance control model between LVSs has been built to optimize energy loss. Finally,in the simulation, compared to the model without pumped storage in the LVS,the SRMand CLRMcan decrease the total energy loss by 294.377 and 432.578 kWh,respectively. The configuration of mPSS can improve the utilization rate of the new energy source generation system, and relieve the pressure of transformer capacity in the LVS.Compared with the SRM,the proposed CRM has reduced the total energy loss by 138.201 kWh,increased the new energy consumption by 161.642 kWh,and decreased the line loss by 7.271 kWh.With the efficiency of the mPSS improving, the total energy loss reduction of CRM will be 3.5 times that of SRM.Further, the CRMcan significantly reduce the reservoir capacity construction of mPSS and ismore suitable for scenarios where the capacity configuration of mPSS is limited.

文摘Molecular dynamics(MD)is a powerful method widely used in materials science and solid-state physics. The accuracy of MD simulations depends on the quality of the interatomic potentials. In this work,a special class of exact solutions to the equations of motion of atoms in a body-centered cubic(bcc)lattice is analyzed. These solutions take the form of delocalized nonlinear vibrational modes(DNVMs)and can serve as an excellent test of the accuracy of the interatomic potentials used in MD modeling for bcc crystals. The accuracy of the potentials can be checked by comparing the frequency response of DNVMs calculated using this or that interatomic potential with that calculated using the more accurate ab initio approach.DNVMs can also be used to train new, more accurate machine learning potentials for bcc metals. To address the above issues,it is important to analyze the properties of DNVMs,which is the main goal of this work.Considering only the point symmetry groups of the bcc lattice,34 DNVMs are found.Since interatomic potentials are not used in finding DNVMs,they are exact solutions for any type of potential. Here, the simplest interatomic potentials with cubic anharmonicity are used to simplify the analysis and to obtain some analytical results. For example, the dispersion relations for small-amplitude phonon modes are derived, taking into account interactions between up to the fourth nearest neighbor. The frequency response of the DNVMs is calculated numerically, and for some DNVMs examples of analytical analysis are given. The energy stored by the interatomic bonds of different lengths is calculated, which is important for testing interatomic potentials. The pros and cons of using DNVMs to test and improve interatomic potentials for metals are discussed.Since DNVMs are the natural vibrational modes of bcc crystals, any reliable interatomic potential must reproduce their properties with reasonable accuracy.
