Objectives Diabetes remains a major global health challenge in China.Artificial intelligence(AI)has demonstrated considerable potential in improving diabetes management. This study aimed to assess healthcare providers’perceptions regarding AI in diabetes care across China. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted using snowball sampling from November 12 to November 24,2024.We selected 514 physicians and nurses by a snowball sampling method from healthcare providers across 30 cities or provinces in China. The self-developed questionnaire comprised five sections with 19 questions assessing medical workers’demographic characteristics,AI-related experience and interest, awareness, attitudes, and concerns regarding AI in diabetes care.Statistical analysis was performed using t-test,analysis of variance(ANOVA),and linear regression. Results Among them,20.0%and 48.1%of respondents had participated in AI-related research and training, while 85.4%expressed moderate to high interest in AI training for diabetes care. Most respondents reported partial awareness of AI in diabetes care, and only 12.6%exhibited a comprehensive or substantial understanding.Attitudes toward AI in diabetes care were generally positive, with a mean score of 24.50±3.38.Nurses demonstrated significantly higher scores than physicians(P<0.05).Greater awareness, prior AI training experience, and higher interest in AI training in diabetes care were strongly associated with more positive attitudes(P<0.05).Key concerns regarding AI included trust issues from AI-clinician inconsistencies(77.2%),increased workload and clinical workflow disruptions(63.4%),and incomplete legal and regulatory frameworks(60.3%).Only 34.2%of respondents expressed concerns about job displacement, indicating general confidence in their professional roles. Conclusions While Chinese healthcare providers show moderate awareness of AI in diabetes care, their attitudes are generally positive, and they are considerably interested in future training.Tailored,role-specific AI training is essential for equitable and effective integration into clinical practice.Additionally, transparent, reliable, ethical AI models must be prioritized to alleviate practitioners’concerns. 展开更多

Forensic medical workers are faced with unique ethical challenges in their attempt to deliver medical care in a custodial environment. We first figure out the reasons why the doctor is standing opposed to the patient through questionnaire and interview of the prison doctor in Shanghai,China, which turn to be a bilateral issue. Both sides should take more active approaches and put themselves to the right position to contribute to a better medical environment in the prison hospital, which can reduce medical tangles and help the criminals to accomplish their reform process. 展开更多

Background Medical care workers experienced unprecedented levels of workload and pressure since the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Little is known about its exact impact on medical care workers and related factors in China. This study aims to identify the psychological impact of COVID-19 on medical care workers in China. Methods From February 23 to March 5,2020,a cross-sectional survey was conducted among 863 medical care workers from seven provinces in China using standard questionnaires measuring adverse psychological outcomes including Impact of Event Scale-6(IES-6),Depression,Anxiety and Stress Scale(DASS)and related psychosocial factors like perceived threat, social support and coping strategies.Exploratory Factor analysis was performed to identify the dimensions of perceived threat by study participants.Multivariate regression was used to examine the determinants of adverse psychological outcomes. Results Posttraumatic stress(PTS)were prevalent in this sample of health care professionals, and 40.2%indicated positive screens for significant posttraumatic stress disorder symptoms. The proportion of having mild to extremely severe symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress were 13.6,13.9 and 8.6%,respectively.Perceived threat and passive coping strategies were positively correlated to PTS and DASS scores, while perceived social support and active coping strategies were negatively correlated to DASS scores.Nurses were more likely to be anxious than others among medical care workers during the COVID-19 epidemic. Conclusions Adverse psychological symptoms were prevalent among medical care workers in China during the COVID-19 epidemic.Screening for adverse psychological outcomes and developing corresponding preventive measures would be beneficial in decreasing negative psychological outcomes. 展开更多

Introduction:The effective dose caused by the external exposure of medical radiation workers has dramatically declined in China.By contrast, less attention has been given to internal exposure to radiation. This study aimed to describe the national monitoring of the internal exposure of Chinese nuclear medicine(NM)workers from 2021 to 2023.These findings provide essential baseline data for enhancing radiation protection protocols in NM facilities and optimizing national internal exposure monitoring. Methods:All the non-military hospitals in China with an NM program were investigated.Portable gamma spectrometers were used to measure the ^(131)I activities of the thyroid of staff members at ^(131)I treatment sites. Results:A total of 998 hospitals in China had an NM program in 2023.Detectable rate(measurements above minimum detectable activity)decreased from 26.2%in 2021 to 20.1%in 2023.The proportion of measurements exceeding 1.0×10^(2) Bq decreased from 12.8%in 2021 to 10.0%in 2023.The detectable rate varied with job categories(P=0.001),with the detectable rate of cleaners being the highest. Conclusions:In China,^(131)I was detected in the thyroid of about one-fifth of the subjects working at radioiodine treatment sites.Detectable rate exhibited a slow downward trend in recent years. 展开更多
