Quantum coherence is a relevant resource for various quantum information processing tasks,but it is fragile since it is generally affected by environmental noise.This is reflected in the loss of purity of the system,w...Quantum coherence is a relevant resource for various quantum information processing tasks,but it is fragile since it is generally affected by environmental noise.This is reflected in the loss of purity of the system,which in turn limits the amount of quantum coherence of it.As a consequence,a complementarity relation between coherence and mixedness arises.Previous works characterize this complementarity through inequalities between theℓ1-norm of coherence and linear entropy,and between the relative entropy of coherence and von Neumann entropy.However,coherence-mixedness complementarity is expected to be a general feature of quantum systems,regardless of the measures used.Here,an alternative approach to coherence-mixedness complementarity,based on majorization theory,is proposed.Vectorial quantifiers of coherence and mixedness,namely the coherence vector and the spectrum,respectively,are used,instead of scalar measures.A majorization relation for the tensor product of both vectorial quantifiers is obtained,capturing general aspects of the trade-off between coherence and mixedness.The optimal bound for qubit systems and numerical bounds for qutrit systems are analyzed.Finally,coherence-mixedness complementarity relations are derived for a family of symmetric,concave and additive functions.These results provide a deeper insight into the relation between quantum coherence and mixedness.展开更多

In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for the generalized least squares (GLS) estimat...Factor analysis (FA) is a time-honored multivariate analysis procedure for exploring the factors underlying observed variables. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for the generalized least squares (GLS) estimation in FA. In the algorithm, a majorization step and diagonal steps are alternately iterated until convergence is reached, where Kiers and ten Berge’s (1992) majorization technique is used for the former step, and the latter ones are formulated as minimizing simple quadratic functions of diagonal matrices. This procedure is named a majorizing-diagonal (MD) algorithm. In contrast to the existing gradient approaches, differential calculus is not used and only elmentary matrix computations are required in the MD algorithm. A simuation study shows that the proposed MD algorithm recovers parameters better than the existing algorithms.展开更多

Recently,the Fog-Radio Access Network(F-RAN)has gained considerable attention,because of its flexible architecture that allows rapid response to user requirements.In this paper,computational offloading in F-RAN is con...Recently,the Fog-Radio Access Network(F-RAN)has gained considerable attention,because of its flexible architecture that allows rapid response to user requirements.In this paper,computational offloading in F-RAN is considered,where multiple User Equipments(UEs)offload their computational tasks to the F-RAN through fog nodes.Each UE can select one of the fog nodes to offload its task,and each fog node may serve multiple UEs.The tasks are computed by the fog nodes or further offloaded to the cloud via a capacity-limited fronhaul link.In order to compute all UEs'tasks quickly,joint optimization of UE-Fog association,radio and computation resources of F-RAN is proposed to minimize the maximum latency of all UEs.This min-max problem is formulated as a Mixed Integer Nonlinear Program(MINP).To tackle it,first,MINP is reformulated as a continuous optimization problem,and then the Majorization Minimization(MM)method is used to find a solution.The MM approach that we develop is unconventional in that each MM subproblem is solved inexactly with the same provable convergence guarantee as the exact MM,thereby reducing the complexity of MM iteration.In addition,a cooperative offloading model is considered,where the fog nodes compress-and-forward their received signals to the cloud.Under this model,a similar min-max latency optimization problem is formulated and tackled by the inexact MM.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms outperform some offloading strategies,and that the cooperative offloading can exploit transmission diversity better than noncooperative offloading to achieve better latency performance.展开更多

We show that the system's temperature is signif- icantly suppressed due to both the entropy majorization theorem in quantum information science and the entropy conservation law in reversible adiabatic processes. We take the one-dimensional transverse-field Ising model and the spinless fermion system as concrete examples to show that the inverse temperature might become divergent around the systems' critical points. Since the temper- ature is a measurable quantity in experiments, it can be used, via reversible adiabatic processes at low temperatures, to detect quantum phase transitions in the perspectives of quantum information science and quantum statistical mechanics.展开更多

文摘Recently,the Fog-Radio Access Network(F-RAN)has gained considerable attention,because of its flexible architecture that allows rapid response to user requirements.In this paper,computational offloading in F-RAN is considered,where multiple User Equipments(UEs)offload their computational tasks to the F-RAN through fog nodes.Each UE can select one of the fog nodes to offload its task,and each fog node may serve multiple UEs.The tasks are computed by the fog nodes or further offloaded to the cloud via a capacity-limited fronhaul link.In order to compute all UEs'tasks quickly,joint optimization of UE-Fog association,radio and computation resources of F-RAN is proposed to minimize the maximum latency of all UEs.This min-max problem is formulated as a Mixed Integer Nonlinear Program(MINP).To tackle it,first,MINP is reformulated as a continuous optimization problem,and then the Majorization Minimization(MM)method is used to find a solution.The MM approach that we develop is unconventional in that each MM subproblem is solved inexactly with the same provable convergence guarantee as the exact MM,thereby reducing the complexity of MM iteration.In addition,a cooperative offloading model is considered,where the fog nodes compress-and-forward their received signals to the cloud.Under this model,a similar min-max latency optimization problem is formulated and tackled by the inexact MM.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms outperform some offloading strategies,and that the cooperative offloading can exploit transmission diversity better than noncooperative offloading to achieve better latency performance.

文摘Let a general quantum many-body system at a low temperature adiabatically cross through the vicinity of the system's quantum critical point. We show that the system's temperature is signif- icantly suppressed due to both the entropy majorization theorem in quantum information science and the entropy conservation law in reversible adiabatic processes. We take the one-dimensional transverse-field Ising model and the spinless fermion system as concrete examples to show that the inverse temperature might become divergent around the systems' critical points. Since the temper- ature is a measurable quantity in experiments, it can be used, via reversible adiabatic processes at low temperatures, to detect quantum phase transitions in the perspectives of quantum information science and quantum statistical mechanics.

文摘Based on the study of the Mechanical Design and Automation major and its relevance to teaching reform in higher education engineering programs,a project-based teaching model was introduced.This approach integrates teaching design,scheme argumentation,and the implementation of teaching activities with the project serving as the central framework.Course knowledge points are derived from the project topics,forming the foundation for a structured knowledge framework.The course content is modularized in alignment with the project design,enabling students to engage with professional courses on a module-by-module basis,guided by the project.Each course utilizes the project topic as a practical case,facilitating project-led teaching.A teaching system tailored to the research project is proposed,establishing a professional course structure closely linked to the project objectives.
文摘This paper mainly discusses the innovative teaching mode of translation for English Majors under the guidance of OBE education philosophy.Firstly,by analyzing the current situation of translation teaching for English majors,this paper points out the main problems,and combined with the OBE education concept,through optimizing the top-level design,updating the teaching content,improving the teaching methods,and scientifically using the evaluation methods,constructs a student-centered and outcome-oriented teaching mode.It is hoped that this study can improve students’translation ability and comprehensive quality,and provide a useful reference for the reform of translation teaching for English majors.
文摘Against the backdrop of the high-quality development of vocational education,the construction of“double-qualified”teacher teams has shifted from focusing on quantity growth to emphasizing the improvement of“double-qualified”competencies.How to strengthen the quality-oriented construction of“double-qualified”teacher teams,give full play to the role of“double-qualified”teachers,promote the construction and teaching reform of tourism majors,and enhance the quality of tourism talent cultivation have become key issues faced by higher vocational tourism majors.Taking higher vocational tourism majors as an example,this paper analyzes the problems encountered in the construction of tourism-related“double-qualified”teacher teams,puts forward strategies for such construction,and explores the impact of building“double-qualified”teacher teams on the quality of talent cultivation in tourism majors.It aims to provide references for the coordinated improvement of the construction of“double-qualified”teacher teams and the quality of talent cultivation in higher vocational tourism majors.
