Wind energy based on induction generator situates in a foreground position in the total energy produced using renewable sources. In the last few decades, a new self- excitation generator was based on multi-stator induction strongly emerges. This article presents a systematic modelling, a detailed analysis and the performance analysis of self-excitation dual stator winding induction generator (SE-DSWIG). The modelling of the SE-DSWIG was done with taking in account the common mutual leakage inductance between stators and the magnetizing inductance, which played a principal role in the stabilization of the output voltage in the steady state. The generator feeds the end user emulated by an inductive-resistive load. In order to simulate the weather conditions’ variation, a step change of the prime mover speed was applied on the SE-DSWIG. A passive series and shunt compensator was used to mitigate the voltage sag and swell appeared in the power system due to wind variation and the lack of reactive power consumed by the inductive load.展开更多

The designs of measurement system and coil, the choice of associated equipment, and the system calibration are also described in detail. It was found that increasing heating rate increased the nucleation temperature and complete recrystallization temperature. At the same time, heating rate increasing could cause the substantially refined structures for the recrystallization grains and this grain refinement would decline when the heating rate was beyond 50 ℃/s. The recrystallization texture exhibited pronounced improvement with heating rate, such as the intensity decrease of 〈111〉//ND (normal direction) fiber and the intensity increase of { 110}%〈001〉 Goss texture component. The texture improvement and grain size refinement caused by heating rate increasing resulted in complicated variation of the magnetic properties. The magnetic induction (B50) keeps increasing while heating rate increases from 15 to 300 ℃/s which is due to the recrystallized texture optimization caused by rapid heating. The core losses (P1.5/50) decrease while heating rate increases from 15 to 100 ℃/s; however, the core losses would increase when heating rate is higher than 100 ℃/s, which is caused by the mean grain size refinement after rapid heating annealing. The results indicate that recrystallization texture and the magnetic properties of the non-oriented electrical steel can be improved definitely by rapid heating during the final annealing treatment.展开更多

Numerical studies are conducted to simulate acoustic pressures, waveforms, and reconstructed images with unidirectional, omnidirectional, and strong directional transducers. With the analyses of equivalent and projection sources, the influences of the model dimension and the layer effect are qualitatively analyzed to evaluate the performance of MAT-MI. Three-dimensional simulation studies show that the strong directional transducer with a large radius can reduce the influences of equivalent sources, projection sources, and the layer effect effectively, resulting in enhanced pressure and improved image contrast, which is beneficial for boundary pressure extraction in conductivity reconstruction. By being detected with a strong directional transducer, abrupt pressure change is proved to be generated by the gradient of the induced Lorentz force along the force direction at conductivity boundary. A simplified boundary normal pressure (BNP)-based conductivity reconstruction algorithm is proposed and the formula for conductivity distribution inside the object with the clear physical meaning of pressure derivative, is derived. Numerical simulations of acoustic pressure and conductivity reconstruction are conducted based on a 2-layer eccentric cylindrical phantom model using Hilbert transform. The reconstructed two-dimensional conductivity images accord well with the model, thus success- fully making up the deficiency of only imaging conductivity boundary in traditional MAT-MI. The proposed method is also demonstrated to have a spatial resolution of one wavelength. This study provides a new method of reconstructing accurate electrical conductivity and suggests the potential applications of MAT-MI in imaging biological tissues with conductivity difference.展开更多

文摘Magnetic induction tomography(MIT) is one of the newest industrial process imaging techniques.Main industrial applications of the MIT imaging are in high conductive flow imaging. However, recently it has been shown that the MIT may be useful for low conductive process imaging. This paper presents a cost effective hardware design for MIT in industrial applications, called Bath-MKI industrial MIT system. The system comprises 8 inductor coils and has the possibility of expansion to 16 coils. The excitation signals and the measured voltages are generated and measured using a LabView based system. Two 16 by 1 multiplexers are used to select between the coils.Measurements, excitation and multiplexing are all controlled by a National Instrument(NI) USB based DAQ:USB-6259 and a signal generator.Using the same electronics, the prototype is tested with two different coil arrays;one is a small scale ferrite core coil and one larger scale air cored coil.Experimental image reconstruction results are shown using both small scale and large scale coil arrays.

文摘A mathematical model for describing the melting process in the medium-frequency induction furnace was developed.Finite difference method was applied to deal with coupling electromagnetic field and temperature field in the melting process. The magnetic induction, temperature distribution and the phase interface moving characteristic during melting of the furnace burden were calculated. The effects of the direct current and inductive heating frequency on the process were analyzed. The simulation results show that:In the direction of burden radius, magnetic induction decreases from the outside of the burden to the center.Solid/liquid interface moves gradually from the outside of the burden to the center. The movement speed increases when the burden begins to melt.In the direction of the burden height, the distribution of eddy current in the surface is accord with the edge effect of the coil.Solid/liquid interface moves gradually from the center to the two sides. The direct current has a greater effect on the electromagnetic field and temperature field than frequency.

文摘As a kind of multi-physics imaging approach integrating the advantages of electrical impedance tomography and ul- trasound imaging with the improved spatial resolution and image contrast, magneto-acoustic tomography with magnetic induction (MAT-MI) is demonstrated to have the capability of electrical impedance contrast imaging for biological tissues with conductivity differences. This study provides a new method of reconstructing accurate electrical conductivity and suggests the potential applications of MAT-MI in imaging biological tissues with conductivity difference.

文摘Results of magnetic field investigation in a Kaiser type caster show that magnetic induction decays rapidly on moving inward from the outer surface and is almost doubled near corner. In the presence of screenings magnetic field strength is attenuated near periphery, but it isn't influenced within the interior. The resultant electromagnetic pressure balances with static head of liquid column,i.e,the upper magnetic induction is smaller than the lower's.However»the maximum pressure moves downward about 1 cm from half height of inductor.

文摘In this study, magnetomechanical coupling tests were performed on Q235 solid round steel model specimens in NIM-200HF magnetomechanical coupling equipment.Hysteresis loops were obtained in different magnetic fields and stresses.Magnetization curves were also achieved at different stresses.Influence of the applied stresses on the hysteresis loops was investigated. The stress sensitive region and linear stress sensitive region of magnetic induction were determined for the model specimen according to the experimental data. The dependence relation of magnetic induction versus applied stresses was established, and the optimum magnetic field was determined in the stress sensitive range of magnetic induction, which builds a basis for nondestructive testing(NDT) of stress with the total magnetic flux for steel structure.Based on modified Jiles-Atherton's model of magnetic hysteresis, the hysteresis loop for Q235 steel 4-mm diameter model specimen was numerically simulated, which was well consistent with the experimental results.

文摘The high grade non-oriented electrical steel sheets containing 3.0%Si were manufacturing processed using different cutting techniques, then they were stress relief annealed(SRA), the profiles and textures of the cutting edges were compared before and after annealing, and the magnetic properties of these specimens were tested and compared. The experimental results show that the iron loss of the specimen by water jet cutting is the lowest, but the magnetic induction under the low magnetic field is the highest, the iron loss of the specimen by laser cutting is the highest, but the magnetic induction under the low magnetic field is the lowest. It is necessary to adopt suitable production conditions and minimize the deterioration involved, and the magnetic property can be recovered by SRA effectively.

The experiment results of single channel measurements show that the system output versus the conductivity of the objects was an approximate linear relationship when the diameter of an object was about 9cm and its conductivity was in 0.1 S/m,0.7 S/m,2 S/m,6 S/m. The sensitivit yof the phase detector was 53 mV/degree from -10 to +10 degree.
文摘Liquid polymers(LP)have become an important structural material used in the construction industry in the last decade. This paper investigates the viability of using commercially available LPs as a coating material to improve the flexural strength of fiber-modified concrete beams. The scope included preparing rectangular prism concrete beams with a concrete mixture including fly ash and fiber and coating them with four different liquid polymers at a uniform thickness following the curing process while one set of samples was maintained under the same conditions as a control group without coating. In addition, cylindrical samples were prepared to determine the compressive strength of the concrete mixture.Following the curing process in an unconfined open-air laboratory environment for another 28 days, concrete samples were tested to determine the flexural strength and deflection characteristics under center point loading equipment. The results revealed that all four coating types enhanced both the flexural strength and the average maximum deflection of the beams compared to the control group. While the enhancement in the flexural strength changed approximately between 5%and 36%depending on the coating type, the improvements in average maximum deflections varied between 3.7%and 28.4%.

文摘Magnetoacoustic tomography with magnetic induction(MAT-MI),as a new kind of in-vivo imaging method, has potential application value in interstitial fluid research. In this paper,we propose the application of MAT-MI with liquid metal serving as a tracer of the interstitial structure to study its fluid behavior, and use it to implement the positional imaging of the spatial distribution of liquid metal.Owing to the particularity of liquid metal magnetoacoustic pressure(MAP)signals,we propose an envelope analysis method to extract the rising edge of the amplitude envelope of the detected waveform as effective position data. And for the first time,we propose the method of superpositing pixel matrix to achieve the position imaging of liquid metal. Finally, the positional imaging of the liquid metal sample embedded in the gel is achieved to have relatively accurate results. This study provides a method of effectively extracting data and implementing the position imaging for liquid metal in the interstitial structure in the frame of MAT-MI.
