James Joyce’s poetry collection, Chamber Music, which he defines as “chambermade music,” epitomizes his literary pursuit of musicality and resonates with his dual identity as both a lyric poet and an Irishman. Musicality in Chamber Music can first be seen in allusions to musical elements which contribute to the musical revelation of emotions. Furthermore, repetition pervades Chamber Music both in themes and structure, resonating with the cyclical nature of Irish music. Under the influence of the Irish Revival, Joyce creatively navigates the realm of musical lyrics, draws a balance between English and Irish traditions, and provides a seminal model for his further exploration of musical writing in his later masterpieces. 展开更多

无人机信号时差估计算法研究分析

随着无人机“黑飞”问题日益凸显,无人机检测与定位技术受到了广泛关注。由于时差估计是到达时差(TDOA)定位的核心,为确定适用于无人机信号的最优时差估计算法,对广义互相关(GCC)、多重信号分类(MUSIC)算法以及小波变换分析三种算法进... 随着无人机“黑飞”问题日益凸显,无人机检测与定位技术受到了广泛关注。由于时差估计是到达时差(TDOA)定位的核心,为确定适用于无人机信号的最优时差估计算法,对广义互相关(GCC)、多重信号分类(MUSIC)算法以及小波变换分析三种算法进行综合评析与仿真实验。首先,对上述算法的国内外研究进行梳理,并从抗干扰能力、计算量和适用范围等角度对上述时差估计算法进行对比分析。其次,通过基于正交频分复用(OFDM)信号的时差估计仿真实验,得出在高斯噪声环境下,GCC呈现最高的估计精度,在30 dB下达到0.398%的相对误差;同时,还设置了各算法的运行时间以及对不同噪声的鲁棒性测试实验,并进行结果分析与原因探究。最后,总结各实验表现,得出GCC为无人机信号时差估计最优算法,并探讨了时差估计的后续研究方向和前景。 展开更多

针对在现场可编程门阵列(Field Programmable Gate Array,FPGA)上实现基于极化敏感阵列的多重信号分类(Multiple Signal Classification,MUSIC)算法进行二维波达方向(Direction of Arrival,DOA)和二维极化参数联合估计时,硬件资源占用... 针对在现场可编程门阵列(Field Programmable Gate Array,FPGA)上实现基于极化敏感阵列的多重信号分类(Multiple Signal Classification,MUSIC)算法进行二维波达方向(Direction of Arrival,DOA)和二维极化参数联合估计时,硬件资源占用大、运行时间长的问题,提出了一种基于极化MUSIC算法的四维参数联合估计FPGA实现架构。该架构包括信号协方差矩阵计算模块、Jacobi旋转模块、噪声子空间提取模块、两级空间谱搜索模块和极化参数计算模块。Jacobi旋转模块被拆分为多个可复用模块,并采用查找表模块生成旋转矩阵。一级空间谱搜索模块通过二维DOA搜索初步确定信源的角度信息。二级空间谱搜索模块根据一级搜索的角度结果确定二级搜索区域各点的极化信息,并计算该区域的四维空间谱,区域内最小值对应的四维参数信息即为最终估计的信源方向角、俯仰角、极化辅助角和极化相位角。仿真结果表明,与传统极化MUSIC算法的四维搜索算法相比,该架构避免了大量四维空间谱计算,同时保证了四维参数估计的精度,显著减少了运行时间和硬件资源消耗。 展开更多

What is spacetime?How do we perceive this medium?How can we fit it into our everyday linear lives?How can we situate ourselves within it in our post-industrial worldview,in an unsustainable world?This philosophical essay adopts a phenomenological method to interrogate the meaning of this fundamental dimension of reality.Spacetime is interpreted not merely as a physical structure but as a plastic field whose instability shapes inner and social life.Yet the contemporary human condition is marked by a profound alienation,much of which derives from a self-inflicted existential disorientation:I once chose exile and moved to a remote island in the Atlantic Ocean,becoming my own research material.In search of genuine contact with nature,the nonverbal appeared as a necessity.I turned to music as an archetypal language,in the Romantic sense of a medium offering pre-conceptual access to the real.I composed Light Atlas,a six-movement work aiming to capture the flight of seagulls and the eternal struggle between light and darkness.This led me back to physics,to my original question:the lived perception of spacetime. 展开更多

Exploring the Framework of Online Music Use for Motivation of Studies and Gratification Needs for Students’Well-Being

Background:Music has proven to be vital in enhancing resilience and promotingwell-being.Previously,the impact of music in sports environments was solely investigated,while this paper applies it to study environments,standing out as pioneering research.The study consists of a systematic development of a conceptual framework based on theories of Uses and Gratification Expectancy(UGE)and perceived motivation based on music elements.Their components are observed variables influencing students’psychological well-being(as the dependent variable).Resilience is examined as a mediator,influencing the relationships of both observed and dependent variables.The main purpose of this study is to highlight the positive effects of online music consumption on the psychological well-being of students.Methods:Semi-structured qualitative interviews were conducted with eighteen final year creative multimedia undergraduate students belonging to five central region Malaysian universities,especially on their UGE needs,and a similar concept survey instrument with two hundred participants.The interview data were analysed through thematic analysis,while the survey data through descriptive and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling(PLS-SEM).Results:The results highlight that students gain motivation from online music,which positively affects their psychological well-being(β=0.190,p=0.003,f^(2)=0.037),while resilience significantly affects this relationship(β=0.562,p<0.001,f^(2)=0.461).However,the results also predict a partial relationship between constructs based on UGE with psychological well-being,mediated by resilience,i.e.,AT-UGE(β=0.021,p=0.783,f^(2)=0.000),SIPI-UGE(β=0.228,p=0.004,f^(2)=0.044).Conclusion:The outcome of the study reflected practical,meaningful,and statistically significant results.The majority of the predictors,with the exception of one,i.e.,AT-UGE,displayed a clear positive relation of online music consumption on the Psychological Well-being of students.Future research will explore varying contextual factors impacting online music-related gratifications,motivations,and resilience,along with additional potential mediators and moderators. 展开更多
