A combined unit, which has the ability to measure the current and emittance of the high intensity direct current(DC)ion beam, is developed at Peking University(PKU). It is a multi-slit single-wire(MSSW)-type beam emittance meter combined with a water-cooled Faraday Cup, named high intensity beam emittance measurement unit-6(HIBEMU-6). It takes about 15 seconds to complete one measurement of the beam current and its emittance. The emittance of a 50-mA@50-kV DC proton beam is measured. 展开更多

Application of geophysical methods in fine detection of urban concealed karst:A case study of Wuhan City,China

The construction of modern livable cities faces challenges in karst areas,including ground collapse and engineering problems.Wuhan,with a population of 13.74×10^(6) and approximately 1161 km^(2)of soluble rocks in the urban area of 8569.15 km^(2),predominantly consists of concealed karst areas where occasional ground collapse events occur,posing significant threats to underground engineering projects.To address these challenges,a comprehensive geological survey was conducted in Wuhan,focusing on major karstrelated issues.Geophysical methods offer advantages over drilling in detecting concealed karst areas due to their efficiency,non-destructiveness,and flexibility.This paper reviewed the karst geological characteristics in Wuhan and the geophysical exploration methods for karst,selected eight effective geophysical methods for field experimentation,evaluated their suitability,and proposed method combinations for different karst scenarios.The results show that different geophysical methods have varying applicability for karst detection in Wuhan,and combining multiple methods enhances detection effectiveness.The specific recommendations for method combinations provided in this study serve as a valuable reference for karst detection in Wuhan. 展开更多

提出了用静磁表面波(magnetostatic surface wave,MSSW)器件实现小波变换处理器的方法。当按照小波函数的包络设计静磁表面波器件的输入换能器的导条包络时,静磁表面波器件的输入换能器能够实现单尺度的小波变换,从而可制作出静磁表面... 提出了用静磁表面波(magnetostatic surface wave,MSSW)器件实现小波变换处理器的方法。当按照小波函数的包络设计静磁表面波器件的输入换能器的导条包络时,静磁表面波器件的输入换能器能够实现单尺度的小波变换,从而可制作出静磁表面波式单尺度的小波变换处理器;当按照不同尺度的小波函数的包络设计静磁表面波器件的输入换能器阵列的导条包络时,静磁表面波器件的输入换能器阵列能够实现不同尺度的小波变换,从而可制作出静磁表面波式多尺度的小波变换处理器。研究发现,用静磁表面波器件能够实现在微波频段中低传输损耗和换能器便于制作的小波变换处理器。实验得到尺度为2-5的单尺度静磁表面波式小波变换处理器的传输损耗是-20.85dB。理论和实验表明,用静磁表面波器件能够实现低传输损耗的小波变换处理器。 展开更多

When the envelope of the conducting strips for the input transducer of magnetostatic surface wave(MSSW) device is designed according to the wavelet-function envelope,the impulse-response function of the input transducer for MSSW device is equal to the wavelet function,so that single-scale wavelet-transform processor of MSSW type is fabricated.First,according to the envelope function of the wavelet,the length function of the conducting strips is defined,then,the lengths of the conducting strips can be calculated from the length function of the conducting strips,finally,the input transducer can be designed according to the lengths and widths for the conducting strips.The compensation method of the insertion loss for single-scale wavelet trans-form processor of MSSW type is also given in the paper.When the output end of single-scale wavelet transform processor of MSSW type is connected to the amplifier,its insertion loss can be compensated. 展开更多

研究了磁光薄膜波导中线性啁啾高斯光脉冲与单频连续静磁波共线作用,给出了水平磁化时基于静磁表面波的磁光耦合方程。分别采用解析法和数值法计算了1310 nm和1550 nm两种光波长入射时衍射光的压缩特性,两种求解方法得到的结果一致。计... 研究了磁光薄膜波导中线性啁啾高斯光脉冲与单频连续静磁波共线作用,给出了水平磁化时基于静磁表面波的磁光耦合方程。分别采用解析法和数值法计算了1310 nm和1550 nm两种光波长入射时衍射光的压缩特性,两种求解方法得到的结果一致。计算表明,衍射光脉冲的半峰全宽(FWHM)随相位失配因子的频率变化率和啁啾系数的增大而减小;在给定的计算参数下,与1310 nm波长对应的衍射光脉冲具有较大的峰值强度,但1550 nm波长输入时可以获得更窄的衍射光脉冲,因而1550 nm光脉冲更适于作为磁光脉冲压缩的脉冲源。文章还分析了磁损耗对衍射光脉冲的光强和输出脉宽的影响,对于普通的磁光薄膜,损耗基本上不影响光脉冲压缩效果。 展开更多
