Digitalization,innovation,sustainability and performance:A causal analysis applied to tourism MSMEs

Given a situation of moderate instability in Colombia’s tourism,a sector of high importance for the development of this country,it is relevant to analyze the factors that could be influencing the performance of its Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs).For this purpose,in 2022,364 of these organizations were surveyed.Among the findings obtained through the structural modeling technique,it can be highlighted that,although the positive influence of digitalization on performance was not confirmed,its effect on innovation was validated.Likewise,environmental management and innovation showed a positive influence on business sustainability.It is concluded that supporting digital transformation and promoting innovative and environmental practices is crucial to improving performance and sustainability in tourism MSMEs.However,these companies will face barriers that could hinder their performance,such as resource limitations and organizational capabilities. 展开更多

Impact of financial literacy,perceived access to finance,ICT use,and digitization on credit constraints:evidence from Qatari MSME importers

This study investigates the role of financial literacy(FL),perceived access to finance(PAF),information communication technology(ICT)usage,and digitization in alleviating the level of credit constraint that micro,small,and medium enterprises(MSMEs)face in an emerging market.We draw on the economic research theories of human capital,knowledge-based view,and lifecycle hypothesis to explain the relationship between the variables.Using survey data collected from 333 MSME importers in Qatar—a country with heavy reliance on foreign goods—we find strong evidence that FL,PAF,ICT usage,and digitization are key determinants of Qatari MSME access to credit.In particular,PAF and FL are significant and have their expected signs in almost all the Probit regressions.For ICT usage and digitization,although they are key determinants of credit constraints,the findings are more sensitive and dependent on the type of financing and the resulting type of credit constraint. 展开更多

Against the backdrop of globalization and digitalization, cross-border trade has become one of the important pathways for many MSMEs to achieve growth and competitive advantage. Firstly, the paper outlines the concept and characteristics of cross-border MSMEs, as well as the analysis of their operational environment in the context of globalization, including political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal factors. Secondly, the paper proposes operational strategies for cross-border MSMEs, including international market selection and positioning, cross-border marketing strategies, supply chain management, cross-border financial management, and cross-border risk management. Finally, the paper summarizes the importance of effectively implementing these strategies for cross-border MSMEs to seize international market opportunities, reduce operational risks, and enhance competitiveness and profitability. 展开更多

目的目的观察低场磁共振多层多回波(MSME)序列对肝癌、肝血管瘤的诊断与鉴别诊断结果,分析低场磁多层多回波(MSME)序列的临床应用价值。方法选取2015年1月-2015年12月期间在我院诊断疑为肝癌或者肝血管瘤的患者29例作为研究对象,先... 目的目的观察低场磁共振多层多回波(MSME)序列对肝癌、肝血管瘤的诊断与鉴别诊断结果,分析低场磁多层多回波(MSME)序列的临床应用价值。方法选取2015年1月-2015年12月期间在我院诊断疑为肝癌或者肝血管瘤的患者29例作为研究对象,先进行低场磁共振多层多回波(MSME)序列影响检查,然后再进行螺旋CT增强扫描,对比两种检查方法的检查结果,同时与临床和手术、病理结果进行对比,分析低场磁多层多回波(MSME)序列的临床应用价值。结果低场磁共振多层多回波(MSME)序列检查显示18例肝血管瘤,11例肝癌;螺旋CT增强扫描检查显示19例肝血管瘤,10例肝癌。统计学处理结果Kappa值为0.96,两种检查方法一致性良好。低场磁共振多层多回波(MSME)序列诊断肝癌与肝血管瘤的灵敏度分别为94%和99%;低场磁共振多层多回波(MSME)序列诊断肝癌与肝血管瘤的特异度为99%和94%。结论低场磁共振多层多回波(MSME)序列和螺旋CT增强扫描诊断肝癌和肝血管瘤的一致性良好,具有一定的临床应用价值。 展开更多

This study is aimed at analyzing resources capabilities and cross functional coordination, and recognizes the effect of resources capabilities on cross functional coordination in the footwear micro industry in West Jawa. The author conducted descriptive survey and quatitative study to determine the level of relationship of different variables on population and to measure the contribution of free variables to restricted variables. The result shows that the resources capabilities, including leather raw materials, synthetic raw materials, funding, human resources, science management, and information and technology influence cross functional coordination in footwear micro industry in West Jawa. This study also reveals that significant resources capabilities elements include leather raw materials, funding, and human resources supplies, while other elements provided insignificant impact. 展开更多

A Regional Economy's Resistance to the COVID-19 Shock: Sales Revenues of Micro-, Small-, and Medium-Sized Enterprises in South Korea 被引量:2

The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) is a global pandemic that has heavily impacted not only the health sector, but also the economic sector in general.Many countries have projected a negative economic impact, and the effect on micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises(MSMEs) is predicted to be significantly large.This study estimated the regional resistance of MSME sales revenues and identified the regional economic factors that affect resistance by analyzing South Korea, a country with one of the lowest economic impact projections from COVID-19. Resistance was estimated by comparing sales revenues and changes in resistance observed during the early COVID-19 period to those recorded in the same weeks(weeks 6 to 9) of 2019. The factors that affect regional resistance were determined by conducting robust regression and spatial regression analyses. The results show that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, a direct risk factor, is negatively related to regional resilience, while diversity is positively related to regional resistance. To improve the regional resistance against uncertain events, this study recommends increased diversity among regional industrial structures to reduce the duration of the early shock of an unexpected adverse event. 展开更多

Application of a multiscale maximum entropy image restoration algorithm to HXMT observations

This paper introduces a multiscale maximum entropy (MSME) algorithm for image restoration of the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which is a collimated scan X-ray satellite mainly devoted to a sensitive all-sky survey and pointed observations in the 1 250 keV range. The novelty of the MSME method is to use wavelet decomposition and multiresolution support to control noise amplification at different scales. Our work is focused on the application and modification of this method to restore diffuse sources detected by HXMT scanning observations. An improved method, the ensemble multiscale maximum entropy (EMSME) algorithm, is proposed to alleviate the problem of mode mixing exiting in MSME. Simulations have been performed on the detection of the diffuse source Cen A by HXMT in all-sky survey mode. The results show that the MSME method is adapted to the deconvolution task of HXMT for diffuse source detection and the improved method could suppress noise and improve the correlation and signal-to-noise ratio, thus proving itself a better algorithm for image restoration. Through one all-sky survey, HXMT could reach a capacity of detecting a diffuse source with maximum differential flux of 0.5 mCrab. 展开更多
