This paper focuses on how technology services can help small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)overcome the digital transformation dilemma of“cannot transform(lack of know-how),dare not transform(fear of risk),and ha...This paper focuses on how technology services can help small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)overcome the digital transformation dilemma of“cannot transform(lack of know-how),dare not transform(fear of risk),and have no money to transform(lack of funds).”Using literature analysis and multiple case comparisons,the study summarizes five major categories of technology services:technical support,consulting and planning,training and empowerment,resource integration,and financing connectivity.It constructs a“service–capability–performance”catalytic framework.Tracking of 58 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta reveals that resource integration contributes the most to digital maturity,with absorptive capacity playing a significant mediating role;the configuration of“high technology services+high absorptive capacity+high environmental dynamism”is a sufficient condition for high transformation performance.Based on these findings,countermeasures are proposed,including improving the technology service system,strengthening government-industry-academia collaboration,and optimizing funding and talent supply,providing replicable experience for SMEs,governments,and technology service institutions.展开更多

Purpose:The purpose of this paper is to explore how libraries can develop service and product strategies and the service support mechanism to provide industrial technology information service in science parks.Design/m...Purpose:The purpose of this paper is to explore how libraries can develop service and product strategies and the service support mechanism to provide industrial technology information service in science parks.Design/methodology/approach:The analysis is based on a case study of a large Chinese research library,National Science Library(NSL),the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS),in serving high-tech companies in Zhongguancun Science Park(Z-Park).Findings:NSL’s practices suggested that in serving business clients,libraries’ product and service strategies should be based on the understanding of users’ needs.Aside from those services that have been recognized by clients such as document retrieval & delivery and novelty search,libraries may expand their service and provide in-depth information analysis and consultation for some key clients.Moreover,a service and product development system should be established,which differentiates the libraries’ products and services from those of their competitors.In providing industrial technology information service,libraries need to construct the service support mechanism,publicize their service and learn to cooperate with clients to meet their demands for knowledge management and innovation.Research limitations:The generalizability of the findings is limited because they are based on an individual case study.Practical implications:Our service practices provide useful information for other libraries to expand their information service to high-tech companies in the new information environment.Originality/value:Z-Park is the first and one of the largest science and technology parks in China.Hence NSL’s practices in serving high-tech companies in Z-Park can be valuable to other libraries that intend to take up the similar service.展开更多

These systems resolve position of a user by using GNSS/GPS positioning technologies, to which supplementary information on goods and services are tagged. The navigation services have become popular and can be installed on mobile phones to provide route information, location of points of interest and user’s current location. LBS has continued to face challenges which include “communication” process towards user reference. Location Based Service System conveys suitable information through a mobile device for effective decision making and reaction within a given time span. This research was geared at understanding the state of LBS technology acceptance and adoption by users in Nairobi Kenya. To do this a quantitative study was carried out through a questionnaire, to investigate mobile phone users’ response on awareness and use of LBS technology. Testing the growth of this technology in this region compared to predictions in previous studies using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), it is evident that many users may be aware of GPS functionality in mobile phones but are certainly yet to fully embrace the technology as they rarely use it. Digital services interfaced with mobile phone lines are gradually being regarded as a core product in this modern age due to the high transmission speed of mobile technology.The research in this paper is based on the ...Digital services interfaced with mobile phone lines are gradually being regarded as a core product in this modern age due to the high transmission speed of mobile technology.The research in this paper is based on the concept of product inter-dependence and actively explores the different consumptive motivations between the consumers' behavior of phone-call users and those who use digital services.This study also attempts to use a modifi ed diffusion model to estimate the consumers' collective behavior with a longitudinal approach.In this study,it can be inferred that psychological consumer motivations should dominate marketing policies.Thus,it was found that digital service users have more self-motivation and autonomy when adopting a new product because they have significantly higher innovative at-tributes than the segment of phone-call users.With these findings,we claim that we have discovered an unprec-edented concept for marketing managers who welcome the challenges of mobile digital services in the future.展开更多

文摘For any hotel vip reception technology is an important factor in the quality service process,financial-economic efficiency,and management of the hotel industry.The service process in the same type hotel is standard,meanwhile the service process technology undergoes certain alterations according to the hotel’s size,structure,category,and market segment orientation.Hotel customer service technology is characterized by cycling phases—consistent repeat of the service process before the departure of the vip from the hotel.The article discusses the four-phase cycle of vip reception,related to the hotel services and transactions.Each phase of the cycle consists of standard transactions/phases,which are carried out between hotel clients and the hotel itself.

文摘With the rapid development of China's economy, the basic material life of the people has been comprehensively guaranteed, the per capita income has been continuously improved, and the requirements for the quality of life have been continuously improved. Aviation was originally a high-quality service industry, but now it has also been integrated into the life of the broad masses of the people in China. Because the passenger plane has the characteristics of rapidity and timeliness, the aviation industry has also been widely recognized by the people in China. In the aviation industry, science and technology information department is a very key department, but at present, there are a lot of problems in the development of aviation science and technology information retrieval and service in China. Therefore, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the optimization of aviation science and technology information retrieval and service work: Firstly, it analyzes the current situation of information work in grass-roots aviation institutions in China;In view of the existing problems, this paper puts forward the corresponding solutions, hoping to provide some theoretical basis and reference for staff.
