However, the operation of these financial institutions obeys to some requirements that are not often likely to allow economic agents with low purchasing power to obtain the necessary funds to finance their production activities. Microfinance therefore comes in as the beginning of seeking effective market oriented solutions to the provision of substantial and effective financial resource for poor groups of people who do not have access to financial service from formal government and private financial institution. Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) are created for a social and sometimes non-profit objective. In Lebanon, many limitations hinder the development of MFIs including the lack of regulations, economic conditions, insecurity, political conflict, financial resources, and the risk of interest rates. Microfinance in Lebanon saw the light during the 1975-1990 Civil War through programs of charitable and community organizations, and really started to develop only in the second half of the 1990s. Capping interest rates may affect the access of poor people to financial services. The problem is that the granting of very small loans involves inevitably higher administrative costs than those offered by traditional bank loans. Therefore, MFIs that seek profitability should have higher interest rates than those charged by traditional banks. By providing money to poor people, how do MFIs in Lebanon reduce the credit risk? This theme's treatment requires a qualitative analysis development. Indeed, after the selection of a representative sample, semi-structured interviews were done with the MFIs managers, and several researches done on this topic were analyzed. The data obtained from the above are treated by the triangulation of different data and the interviews analysis by the method of discourse content analysis. In addition, a literature review was done through scientific journals, books, newspapers, and websites.展开更多

For the MFIS capacitors with CeO2 insulator, with the increase of applied voltage from 2 V to 15 V,the C-V loops become wider and memory windows increase from 0.15 V to 1.27 V. When the thickness of CeO2 layer increases from 1 nm to 5 nm at the applied voltage of 5 V,the C-V loops become narrower and the memory windows decrease from 1.09 V to 0.36 V. For MFIS capacitors with different insulator layers(CeO2,HfO2,Y2O3,Si3N4 and SiO2),the high dielectric constants can make the C-V loops wider and improve the capacitor's memory window. The simulation results prove that Silvaco/Atlas is a powerful simulator for MFIS capacitor, and they are helpful to the fabrication of MFIS nonvolatile memory devices.展开更多

The present paper aims to provide a cognitive framework on microcredit in Panama. It wants to demonstrate how this country can be an area in which international investors can operate considering that this form of credit can improve their yields especially in countries, such as Panama, characterized by high interest rates. Under the methodological point of view, the paper considers the financial variables of microcredit in Panama. In this way, it reaches the goal of the research to identify MFIs (micro finance institutions) as a potential target of investors.展开更多

Nevertheless, conventional synthesis methods usually require expensive structure-directing agents(SDAs), pricey raw materials, and eco-unfriendly fluorine-containing additives. Here, we contributed a cost-effective and fluoride-free synthesis method for synthesizing high-quality MFI zeolite nanosheets through a Silicalite-1(Sil-1) seed suspension and urea cooperative strategy, only with inexpensive colloidal silica as the Si source. Our approach was effective for synthesizing both Sil-1 and aluminum-containing ZSM-5 nanosheets. By optimizing key synthesis parameters, including seed aging time, seed quantity, and urea concentration, we achieved precise control over the crystal face aspect ratio and b-axis thickness. We also revealed a non-classical oriented nanosheet growth mechanism, where Sil-1 seeds induced the formation of quasi-ordered precursor particles, and the(010)crystal planes of these particles facilitated urea adsorption, thereby promoting c-axis-oriented growth. The obtained ZSM-5 nanosheets exhibited exceptional catalytic performance in the benzene alkylation with ethanol, maintaining stability for over 500 h, which is 5 times longer than traditional ZSM-5 catalysts. Furthermore, large-scale production of ZSM-5 nanosheets was successfully carried out in a 3 L highpressure autoclave, yielding samples consistent with those from laboratory-scale synthesis. This work marks a significant step forward in the sustainable and efficient production of MFI nanosheets using inexpensive and environmentally friendly raw materials, offering the broad applicability in catalysis.展开更多
