The lumped kinetic model is a powerful tool for predicting the product yield of the ebullated-bed residue hydrogenation (EBRH) unit, However, during the long-term operation of the device, there are phenomena such as low frequency of material property analysis leading to limited operating data and diverse operating modes at the same time scale, which poses a huge challenge to building an accurate product yield prediction model. To address these challenges, a data augmentation-based eleven lumped reaction kinetics mechanism model was constructed. This model combines generative adversarial networks, outlier elimination, and L2 norm data filtering to expand the dataset and utilizes kernel principal component analysis-fuzzy C-means for operating condition partitioning. Based on the hydrogenation reaction mechanism, a single and sub operating condition eleven lumped reaction kinetics model of an ebullated-bed residue hydrogenation unit, comprising 55 reaction paths and 110 parameters, was constructed before and after data augmentation. Compared to the single model before data enhancement, the average absolute error of the sub-models under data enhancement division was reduced by 23%. Thus, these findings can help guide the operation and optimization of the production process.展开更多

It is composed of a one-dimensional periodic array of double U-shaped structured magnetic resonators loaded with lumped resistors, a dielectric substrate, and a metal plate. We simulated, fabricated, measured, and analyzed the MA. The experimental results show that the reflectance (S11) is below -10 dB at normal incidence in the frequency range of 7.7 GHz 18 GHz, and the peak value is about -20 dB. Simulated power loss density distributions indicate that wideband absorption of the MA is mainly attributable to the lumped resistors in the magnetic resonator. Further investigations indicate that the distance between two unit cells along the magnetic field direction significantly influences the performance of the MA.展开更多

In this work, an optimal prediction model, constructed with the lumped element modeling(LEM) and the artificial bee colony(ABC) algorithm, was proposed to efficiently predict the combination of waveform parameters for obtaining the desired droplet properties. For acquiring higher simulation accuracy, a modified dynamic lumped element model(DLEM) was proposed with time-varying equivalent circuits, which can characterize the nonlinear behaviors of piezoelectric printhead. The proposed method was then applied to investigate the influences of various waveform parameters on droplet volume and velocity of nano-silver ink, and to predict the printing quality using nano-silver ink. Experimental results show that, compared with two-dimension manual search, the proposed optimal prediction model perform efficiently and accurately in searching the appropriate combination of waveform parameters for printable electronics fabrication.展开更多

With this model, the mass flow rate and dynamic pressure characteristics of constant volumes controlled by high-speed pneumatic PWM on /off valves was well described. A variable flow rate coefficient model was proposed to substitute for the constant one used in most of the prior works to investigate PWM on /off valves' dynamical pressure response, and a formula for disclosing the inherent relationship among the PWM command signal, static mass flow rate, and sonic conductance of the valve was newly derived. Finally,an extensive set of analytical experimental comparisons were implemented to verify the validity of the proposed mathematica model. With the proposed model, PWM on /off valves' characteristics, such as mass flow rate, step pressure response of the valve control system, mean pressure and ripple amplitude, not only in the linear range, but also in the nonlinear range can be wel predicted; Good agreement between measured and calculated results was obtained, which proved that the model is helpful for designing a control strategy in a closed loop control system.展开更多

However, these models cannot be used to devise appropriate management strategies at land parcel level, because of the differences between farm characteristics, and the increased complexity of the hydrological processes. Based on Spatial Farm Database (SFD) which is consisted of a number of farm-level spatial data, including location, paddock properties, owner specifications and budgets, it is possible to provide the farm manager with some suggestions regarding the optimal choice of crops and the area to be allocated for each one. To this end, genetic algorithm is used in order to cope with model nonlinearity and a large number of decision variables. In order to test the proposed model, the Mobarakabad district is modeled with 126 agriculture fields, and the optimization model is run for this area. Results showed that the optimization procedure can find more realistic farm-level optimal solutions due to its advantage in adequate modeling of field characteristics, common groundwater resources, and the associated constraints. The results of lumped optimizations could also be used as benchmarks for the purposes of comparison and interpretation.展开更多

文摘The simulation of hydrogen purification in a mixture gas of hydrogen/carbon dioxide (H2/CO2) by metal hydride system was reported. The lumped parameter model was developed and validated. The validated model was implemented on the software Matlab/Simulink to simulate the present investigation. The simulation results demonstrate that the purification efficiency depends on the external pressure and the venting time.An increase in the external pressure and enough venting time makes it possible to effectively remove the impurities from the tank during the venting process and allows to desorb pure hydrogen. The impurities are partially removed from the tank for low external pressure and venting time during the venting process and the desorbed hydrogen is contaminated.Other parameters such as the overall heat transfer coefficient, solid material mass, supply pressure, and the ambient temperature influence the purification system in terms of the hydrogen recovery rate.An increase in the overall heat transfer coefficient, solid material mass, and supply pressure improves the hydrogen recovery rate while a decrease in the ambient temperature enhances the recovery rate.

文摘We propose a novel lumped time-delay compensation scheme for all-optical analog-to-digital conversion based on soliton self-frequency shift and optical interconnection techniques. A linearly chirped fiber Bragg grating is optimally designed and used to compensate for the entire time-delays of the quantized pulses precisely. Simulation results show that the compensated coding pulses are well synchronized with a time difference less than 3.3 ps, which can support a maximum sampling rate of 151.52 GSa/s. The proposed scheme can efficiently reduce the structure complexity and cost of all-optical analog-to-digital conversion compared to the previous schemes with multiple optical time-delay lines.
文摘The lumped time distribution functions were proposed, which can be used for describing the dynamicsystems with two or more than two states of the end of growing polymer chain during chain addition polymerization.Numerical analysis of the lumped time distribution functions was carried out. The method for calculating molecularweight distribution of polymer in the stable free radical polymerization and more general cases was developed basedon the lumped time distribution functions.

文摘A five-lump kinetic model for hydrocracking of coal tar is proposed to simulate the product distribution on the basis of the experimental data of coal tar in a laboratory fixed-bed downflow reactor with a Ni/Mo catalyst at a temperature of 360―380°C.The kinetic model includes 5 lumps, viz.:unreacted coal tar, diesel, gasoline, gas, and coke. The product distribution predicted and measured were compared and analyzed, indicating that the kinetic model in this research is suitable for the hydrocracking process of coal tar.Meanwhile, the hydrocracking mechanism of coal tar was further analyzed on the basis of the kinetic model.During the entire hydrocracking process of coal tar,the diesel fraction served as an intermediate component of the reaction.

文摘Aiming at solving the problem of strong coupling characteristic of the key parameters of high-speed pneumatic pulse width modulation( PWM) on / off valve, a general lumped parameter mathematical model based on the valves time periods was well developed. With the proposed model, PWM on /off valves' characteristics, such as mass flow rate, step pressure response of the valve control system, mean pressure and ripple amplitude, not only in the linear range, but also in the nonlinear range can be wel predicted; Good agreement between measured and calculated results was obtained, which proved that the model is helpful for designing a control strategy in a closed loop control system.
文摘Several whole-farm agro-economic optimization models have been developed to deal with lumped planning issues in the agriculture sector. The results of lumped optimizations could also be used as benchmarks for the purposes of comparison and interpretation.
