LONELY GUY(LOG)is a pivotal cytokinin-activating enzyme that plays an important role in plant growth,development,and stress responses.Walnut(Juglans regia),an important woody oilseed species,has not yet undergone syst...LONELY GUY(LOG)is a pivotal cytokinin-activating enzyme that plays an important role in plant growth,development,and stress responses.Walnut(Juglans regia),an important woody oilseed species,has not yet undergone systematic identification of its LOG gene family.In this study,we identified 17 JrLOG genes in the walnut genome,which are unevenly distributed across 11 chromosomes.JrLOG gene expansion was primarily driven by gene duplication,along with purifying selection.Members of the JrLOG family were categorized into five groups,each exhibiting analogous gene structures,featured motifs,and conserved domains.Transcriptome and quantitative real-time PCR analyses revealed that JrLOG gene expression was tissue-specific,developmentally regulated,and responsive to stress situations.Notably,JrLOG3,which localizes to the cell membrane,exhibited high expression levels in leaves and responded to both cold and pathogen infection treatments.This study represents the first comprehensive identification of the LOG gene family in walnut,offering essential data for further functional studies of this gene family.展开更多

AIM:To investigate the prevalence of clinically unrecognized mitral regurgitation(MR) in lone atrial fibrillation(AF).METHODS:We studied the prevalence and severity of MR by transesophageal echocardiography(TEE) in pa...AIM:To investigate the prevalence of clinically unrecognized mitral regurgitation(MR) in lone atrial fibrillation(AF).METHODS:We studied the prevalence and severity of MR by transesophageal echocardiography(TEE) in patients with "lone" AF as compared to a matched cohort of patients in normal sinus rhythm(NSR) undergoing TEE for other indications besides recognized valvular heart disease.RESULTS:A total of 157 subjects(57 in the AF group and 100 in the NSR group) with structurally normal cardiac valves were included in the study.In the AF group,moderate MR or more was noted in 66% of thepatients,mild MR in 18%,trace or no MR in 16%.In the control group,moderate MR was noted in 6% of patients,mild MR 31%,trace or no MR in 63 % of patients.Moderate MR or greater was significantly more prevalent in the AF group compared to the NSR group(66% vs 6%,P < 0.0001).CONCLUSION:Clinically unrecognized moderate MR is prevalent in "lone" AF-either as an etiologic factor leading to "lone" AF or developing after onset of AF.展开更多

The nonluminescent coo...We report a facile, effective and rapid screening method for the determination of total fluoroquinolones(FQs) in milk using lanthanide coordination polymer nanomaterials as the sensing platform. The nonluminescent coordination polymer nanosheets(CPNSs) used in this work are composed of adenosine monophosphate(AMP) and terbium(Tb^(3+)) ions(AMP/Tb CPNSs). The as-prepared CPNSs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and fluorescence techniques. Tb^(3+) acts as the center ion of the coordination polymer, with AMP assembled through phosphate and amine groups. However, the reaction between FQs and AMP/Tb CPNSs noticeably turns on the fluorescence due to the strong coordination interaction between FQs and Tb^(3+). Under optimized conditions, the fluorescence intensity of AMP/Tb at 545 nm shows a linear relationship with FQ concentrations between 0.04 μmol/L and 5.0 μmol/L. The relative standard deviation(RSD) of the intraday precision is below 1%, and detection limits are as low as 0.01 μmol/L. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of FQs in milk samples.展开更多

Background The CHA 2 DS 2-VASc schema has recently been introduced to complement the CHADS2 score and improve the identification of atrial fibrillation (AF) patients at 'truly low risk' for thromboembolism.We test...Background The CHA 2 DS 2-VASc schema has recently been introduced to complement the CHADS2 score and improve the identification of atrial fibrillation (AF) patients at 'truly low risk' for thromboembolism.We tested the predictive ability of the CHA 2 DS 2-VASc,CHADS2 and van Walraven risk stratification schemes in a cohort of 'lone' AF patients with a 12-year follow-up.Methods and Results We conducted a registry-based,observational cohort study of 345 patients initially diagnosed with 'lone' AF between 1992 and 2007.At baseline,all patients had the CHADS2 and van Walraven scores of 0,and 262 (75.9%) had a CHA 2 DS 2VASc score=0.During follow-up (or within a year prior to stroke),228 (66.1%),234 (67.8%) and 150 patients (43.5%) retained the CHADS2,van Walraven and CHA 2 DS 2VASc scores of 0,respectively.The overall rate of ischemic stroke was 0.19 (95%CI:0.18-0.20) per 100 patient-years.In the multivariable analysis,only the CHA 2 DS 2-VASc score of 0 was significantly related to the absence of stroke (OR 5.1,95%CI:1.5-16.8,P=0.008).Only the CHA 2 DS 2-VASc score had a significant prediction ability (c-statistic 0.72 [0.61-0.84],P=0.031).Conclusions The CHA 2 DS 2-VASc score reliably identified the 'lone' AF patients who were at 'truly low risk' for thromboembolism,and was the only tested risk stratification scheme with a significant predictive ability for thromboembolism amongst lone AF patients.展开更多

AgInS_(2),a representativeⅠ-Ⅲ-Ⅵ_(2)chalcogenide,has garnered significant attention due to its tunable electronic structure,nontoxic nature,and air stability.However,its practical application is hindered by severe n...AgInS_(2),a representativeⅠ-Ⅲ-Ⅵ_(2)chalcogenide,has garnered significant attention due to its tunable electronic structure,nontoxic nature,and air stability.However,its practical application is hindered by severe nonradiative recombination losses induced by deep-level In_(Ag)antisite defects,which act as carrier trapping centers.While Sb and Bi doping have been shown to suppress defect states in CuInS_(2),their impact on AgInS_(2)remains unexplored.This study systematically investigates Sb and Bi doping in AgInS_(2)from the perspectives of electronic orbitals interactions and defect regulation.Under S-rich,In-poor,and Ag-moderate conditions,the formation energy of In_(Ag)defects increases,thereby reducing their concentration.Sb In and Bi In emerge as dominant dopant-induced defects,yet they exhibit distinct effects on carrier recombination.Sb doping introduces deeplevel states at 1.08 eV below the conduction band minimum through strong Sb–S antibonding interactions,exacerbating nonradiative recombination losses while reducing the radiative recombination coefficient by three orders of magnitude to 1.36×10^(-16)cm^(3)/s versus intrinsic AgInS_(2)’s 9.63×10^(-13)cm^(3)/s.In contrast,Bi In defects remain neutral across the Fermi level range,with Bi doping demonstrating superior defect tolerance that effectively suppresses deep-level states and promotes radiative recombination.This enhances the radiative recombination coefficient by one order of magnitude to 1.27×10^(-12)cm^(3)/s.This study offers critical insights into lonepair electron effects in Ag-based chalcogenides,contributing to the advancement of sustainable and high-efficiency optoelectronic materials.展开更多
