In this article, we prove that generalized derivations, quasiderivations, and product zero derivations of P coincide, and any generalized derivation of P is a sum of an inner derivation, a central quasiderivation, and a scalar multiplication map of P. In this paper we classify the invertible linear maps preserving solvability on gl(n, C) in both directions. This paper presents a robust entry guidance algorithm for the high lift-to-drag ratio entry vehicle that employs the recently developed pseudospectral model predict control in a segmented manner. Here, the guidance commands are the longitudinal lift-to-drag (L/D) and bank reversal commands, which are calculated by successively solving multiple segment linear algebraic equations. These equations are derived using the linear pseudospectral method, control parametrization and calculus of variations. The method uses orthogonal polynomials and computes the updates through a series of analytical formulae, which makes it accurate and computationally effective. Moreover, it is able to adjust the number of bank reversals by providing the precise bank reversal point so as to fully exploit the potential of lateral maneuver. The method also employs proportional navigation and polynomial guidance after the last bank reversal to meet multiple terminal constraints. High-fidelity numerical simulations with various destinations are carried out to demonstrate its applicability. Furthermore, Monte Carlo simulations are also conducted to show that the proposed algorithm consistently offers very stable and robust performances and has superior performances in computational efficiency, guidance accuracy and lateral trajectory shaping capability in comparison with other typical methods. © 1990-2011 Beijing Institute of Aerospace Information. 展开更多

Sufficient conditions for the existence of stochastic stabilization and robust H∞ state feedback controller are presented in terms of a set of solutions of coupled LMIs. This paper presents a new method for simultaneous synthesis of dynamic controller and static anti-windup compensator for saturated Lipschitz systems. Thanks to the reformulated Lipschitz property, the Lipschitz systems can be transformed into LPV (linear parameter-varying) systems whose system matrices are affine in a parameter matrix. Based on the modified sector condition dealing with saturation nonlinearity, the design of a nonlinear anti-windup-based controller leads to the solvability of a set of bilinear matrix inequalities (BMI) on the vertices of a bounded convex set which can be solved by the so-called iterative linear matrix inequality (ILMI) algorithm. Although linear ODEs have a comparatively easy form, they are effective in solving certain physical and geometrical problems. We will begin by introducing fundamental knowledge in Linear Algebra and proving the existence and uniqueness of solution for ODEs. Then, we will concentrate on finding the solutions for ODEs and introducing the matrix method for solving linear ODEs. Eventually, we will apply the conclusions we’ve gathered from the previous parts into solving problems concerning Physics and differential curves. Performance Analysis of Parallel Eigensolvers of Two Libraries on BlueGene/P

Many applications in computational science and engineering require the computation of eigenvalues and vectors of dense symmetric or Hermitian matrices. For example, in DFT (density functional theory) calculations on modern supercomputers 10% to 30% of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of huge dense matrices have to be calculated. Therefore, performance and parallel scaling of the used eigensolvers is of upmost interest. In this article different routines of the linear algebra packages ScaLAPACK and Elemental for parallel solution of the symmetric eigenvalue problem are compared concerning their performance on the BlueGene/P supercomputer. Parameters for performance optimization are adjusted for the different data distribution methods used in the two libraries. It is found that for all test cases the new library Elemental which uses a two-dimensional element by element distribution of the matrices to the processors shows better performance than the old ScaLAPACK library which uses a block-cyclic distribution. 展开更多
