A novel contour tracking method using weighted structure tensor based variational level set is proposed in this paper.The image is first converted to weighted structure tensor field by extracting apositive definite symmetric covariance matrix for each pixel.Then,a level set method is employed to represent object contour implicitly which separates the image domain into two areas each modeled by tensor field based Gaussian mixture model separately.By solving agradient flow equation of energy functional with respect to the level set,the object contour will converge to its real profile in the newly arrived frame.Experimental results on several video sequences demonstrate the better performance of our method than the other two contour tracking algorithms. 展开更多

Image segmentation is a key and fundamental problem in image processing,computer graphics,and computer vision.Level set based method for image segmentation is used widely for its topology flexibility and proper mathematical formulation.However,poor performance of existing level set models on noisy images and weak boundary limit its application in image segmentation.In this paper,we present a region consistency constraint term to measure the regional consistency on both sides of the boundary,this term defines the boundary of the image within a range,and hence increases the stability of the level set model.The term can make existing level set models significantly improve the efficiency of the algorithms on segmenting images with noise and weak boundary.Furthermore,this constraint term can make edge-based level set model overcome the defect of sensitivity to the initial contour.The experimental results show that our algorithm is efficient for image segmentation and outperform the existing state-of-art methods regarding images with noise and weak boundary. 展开更多

A fast two-stage geometric active contour algorithm for image segmentation is developed. First, the Eikonal equation problem is quickly solved using an improved fast sweeping method, and a criterion of local minimum of area gradient (LMAG) is presented to extract the optimal arrival time. Then, the final time function is passed as an initial state to an area and length minimizing flow model, which adjusts the interface more accurately and prevents it from leaking. For object with complete and salient edge, using the first stage only is able to obtain an ideal result, and this results in a time complexity of O(M), where M is the number of points in each coordinate direction. Both stages are needed for convoluted shapes, but the computation cost can be drastically reduced. Efficiency of the algorithm is verified in segmentation experiments of real images with different feature. 展开更多

This paper presents an efficient liver-segmentation system developed by combining three ideas under the operations of a level-set method and consequent processes. First, an effective initial process creates mask and seed regions. The mask regions assist in prevention of leakage regions due to an overlap of gray-intensities between liver and another soft-tissue around ribs and verte-brae. The seed regions are allocated inside the liver to measure statistical values of its gray-intensities. Second, we introduce liver-corrective images to represent statistical regions of the liver and preserve edge information. These images help a geodesic active contour (GAC) to move without obstruction from high level of image noises. Lastly, the computation time in a level-set based on reaction-diffusion evolution and the GAC method is reduced by using a concept of multi-resolution. We applied the proposed system to 40 sets of 3D CT-liver data, which were acquired from four patients (10 different sets per patient) by a 4D-CT imaging system. The segmentation results showed 86.38% ± 4.26% (DSC: 91.38% ± 2.99%) of similarities to outlines of manual delineation provided by a radiologist. Meanwhile, the results of liver segmentation only using edge images presented 79.17% ± 5.15% or statistical regions showed 74.04% ± 9.77% of similarities. 展开更多

Noise contours are used to describe the extent of airport noise pollution and to plan land use around airports. The L WECPN(weighted equivalent continuous perceive noise level) recommended by ICAO(International Civil Aviation Organization) is adopted as airport noise rating parameter in this paper. With the help of various mathematical models in the software Surfer, noise contours can be drawn automatically by the completed program in Visual C++ Code. Corrections for thrust, velocity, atmospheric temperature, humidity and lateral ground attenuation are also considered in the new method, which can improve the efficiency of drawing contours. An example of its use for drawing noise contours of an airport in Zhejiang Province of China is proposed and the predictions and the measurements show agreements well. 展开更多

This article introduces a new normalized nonlocal hybrid level set method for image segmentation.Due to intensity overlapping,blurred edges with complex backgrounds,simple intensity and texture information,such kind of image segmentation is still a challenging task.The proposed method uses both the region and boundary information to achieve accurate segmentation results.The region information can help to identify rough region of interest and prevent the boundary leakage problem.It makes use of normalized nonlocal comparisons between pairs of patches in each region,and a heuristic intensity model is proposed to suppress irrelevant strong edges and constrain the segmentation.The boundary information can help to detect the precise location of the target object,it makes use of the geodesic active contour model to obtain the target boundary.The corresponding variational segmentation problem is implemented by a level set formulation.We use an internal energy term for geometric active contours to penalize the deviation of the level set function from a signed distance function.At last,experimental results on synthetic images and real images are shown in the paper with promising results. 展开更多

In this paper, we present a novel region-based active contour model based on global in-tensity fitting energy in a variational level set framework. Meanwhile, an internal energy term is in-troduced, and it forces the level set function to be close to a signed distance function. Image global information utilized efficiently makes the proposed model insensitive to noise, and the introduced penalty term can avoid the costly re-initialization for the evolving level set function, which not only speeds up the contour evolvement, but also improves accuracy of the final contour. Comparisons with other classical region-based models, such as Chan-Vese model and Region-Scalable Fitting (RSF) model, show the advantages of our model in terms of efficiency and accuracy. In this paper, the model which integrates edge with region level set model is utilized, and the speed energy term is introduced to segment the target. 无人机因其小巧、轻便、灵活的特点,在农业、物流、救援、赈灾等方面有着广泛的应用。然而如果使用不当或管理不善,不仅会造成个人隐私泄露、财产损失,还可能对公共安全甚至军事安全构成威胁。因此,实时准确地对空域内的无人机进行检测... 无人机因其小巧、轻便、灵活的特点,在农业、物流、救援、赈灾等方面有着广泛的应用。然而如果使用不当或管理不善,不仅会造成个人隐私泄露、财产损失,还可能对公共安全甚至军事安全构成威胁。因此,实时准确地对空域内的无人机进行检测与预警具有重要作用。对此,提出了一种用于红外无人机检测的多通道交互注意力与边缘轮廓增强(Multi-Channel Interactive Attention mechanism and Edge Contour Enhancement,MCIAECE)方法。首先,通过构建多通道交互注意力机制模块和边缘轮廓增强模块组成的双通道对红外图像的浅层和深层特征进行提取,经过注意力机制可以增强目标特征,而边缘轮廓增强则可以获取更多细节信息。然后使用多级特征融合模块将所提取的各层特征进行融合增强,从而获得检测结果。实验结果表明,在3个数据集上用MCIAECE方法都能够达到较好的效果。其中在(NUDT-Single-frame InfraRed Small Target)NUDT-SIRST红外数据集上效果最佳,检测概率和交并比分别为98.83%和85.11%,与基线网络相比分别提高了1.95%和6.88%,与其他方法相比,在目标的边缘轮廓还原方面效果显著。 展开更多

有效地捕捉和利用图像不同特征层之间的特性和互补潜力,对于精确定位显著目标和保留其细节轮廓具有重要意义.针对现有的大多数RGB-T显著性目标检测方法将提取到的图像特征直接输入到聚合模块中,并利用简单的递归结构定位显著目标,其所... 有效地捕捉和利用图像不同特征层之间的特性和互补潜力,对于精确定位显著目标和保留其细节轮廓具有重要意义.针对现有的大多数RGB-T显著性目标检测方法将提取到的图像特征直接输入到聚合模块中,并利用简单的递归结构定位显著目标,其所带来的低泛化能力问题,提出了一种显著性增强和全局感知的RGB-T显著性目标检测方法.首先利用预训练模型提取图像的原始特征;其次提出降噪模块(NRM),作为编码和跨模态解码之间的桥梁,以纯化显著对象的特征表示;并提出高级语义指导模块(HSGB),融合不同模态的高级语义信息,以保留显著对象的位置信息;最后设计跨模态交互模块(MMIB),在保留显著对象位置信息的同时,指导解码模块进行多级特征的聚合操作,得到最终显著图.在VT821,VT1000和VT5000数据集上的实验结果表明,所提方法的MAE指标分别达到3.0%,1.8%和3.0%,性能优于大多数主流方法. 展开更多
