With the continuous advancement of artificial intelligence(AI)technology,personalized learning systems are increasingly applied in higher education.Particularly within STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathemati...With the continuous advancement of artificial intelligence(AI)technology,personalized learning systems are increasingly applied in higher education.Particularly within STEM(Science,Technology,Engineering,and Mathematics)education,AI demonstrates significant advantages through adaptive learning pathways,instant feedback,and individualized resource allocation.However,current research predominantly focuses on the technical architecture and application effectiveness of such systems,with insufficient exploration of how AI-enabled personalized learning systems influence university students’learning motivation and academic achievement through educational psychological mechanisms.This paper adopts an educational psychology perspective to construct a causal mechanism model linking“learning motivation-learning behavior-academic achievement.”Findings indicate that AI-powered personalized learning systems enhance learning autonomy,boost self-efficacy,and optimize feedback mechanisms.These effects collectively stimulate university students’learning motivation in STEM disciplines,thereby promoting academic achievement.Building upon empirical research,this paper proposes implications for educational practice and policy formulation,emphasizing the necessity of advancing higher education reform through the dual influence of technology and psychological mechanisms.展开更多

This research aims at developing RCPS （revised creative problem solving） teaching model, besides the authors designed the instructions of chemical reaction to promote eight grade students＇ scientific learning motiv...This research aims at developing RCPS （revised creative problem solving） teaching model, besides the authors designed the instructions of chemical reaction to promote eight grade students＇ scientific learning motivation and scientific concept learning. We adopted quasi-experiment study, the experimental group and controlled group all 28 students were chose, go on the parameter is analyzed together compared with textbook instructions, scale of scientific learning motivation and test of scientific conception learning were used for the two groups in prior test and post test, then they used statistical ANCOVA （analysis of covariance） to analyze the differences between the two teaching models. The result of this study finds that RCPS teaching model improved student＇s scientific learning motivation and learning scientific concept was superior to textbook instructions in controlled group, p = 0.001 （〈 0.01）, and all with high experimental treatment effects （〉 0.14）. The study also proposes that when RCPS teaching model was applied to scientific concept teaching, RCPS teaching model should be joined the conception introducing stage, and pay attention to students＇ scientific learning motivation.展开更多

As a pivotal intermediary stage between compulsory education and higher education,high school education plays a key role in the Chinese education system.The capability of high school students to cultivate motivational...As a pivotal intermediary stage between compulsory education and higher education,high school education plays a key role in the Chinese education system.The capability of high school students to cultivate motivational beliefs exerts a substantial impact on their subsequent academic development.This study employed a cross-lagged analysis to examine the longitudinal interrelation among self-concept,interest value,and effort cost of 694 Chinese high school students over three semesters from grade 11 to grade 12,and the impact on their academic achievement.In mathematics,there was a negative predictive correlation between self-concept and effort cost.Additionally,the negative prediction of perceived effort cost in the second semester of grade 11 on interest value in the first semester of grade 12 appeared to be significant.In English,the developmental trajectory was relatively independent,and only self-concept in the first semester of grade 11 negatively predicted effort cost in the second semester of grade 11.In both subjects,self-concept positively predicted academic achievement,whereas effort cost negatively predicted academic achievement.Latent interaction analysis further revealed a significant interaction effect between self-concept and effort cost on academic achievement in mathematics.The findings clarified the significance of students’learning motivation influencing their academic achievement.In the meantime,the developmental trajectories of high school students’learning motivation were dynamic and demonstrated a clear domain-specificity pattern.展开更多
