Willimon (2002), where the author describes the ordained ministry as "a is a gift of God to the church" which usually does not mean that it is an easy task but rather, more complex and challenging as ministry leaders or pastors feel a call to transforming societies beyond their calling. In post-modern society, the pastors' role has differed and extended to form in line with creating a just and beloved community. In such communities, the pastor has more interaction with the community and the day to day activities of its neighbors or hosts. The purpose of this paper is to understand leadership and the role of the Ministry leader as a transformational leader, that goes beyond the role of being a servant leader.展开更多

文摘EARLIER this year,on April 3,when U.S.President Donald Trump unveiled his extraordinary raft of tariff measures to the world,Chinese President Xi Jinping was sending a different message to the international community–he was planting trees on the outskirts of Beijing. To get a sense of the depth of Xi Jinping’s commitment to environmental efforts,it is instructive to read his own words on the topic. The chapter on the building of a Beautiful China in the fifth volume of Xi Jinping:The Governance of China provides a helpful summary of China’s contemporary priorities in environmental governance. It contains excerpts of several speeches, most notably the speech Xi delivered at the National Conference on Eco-Environmental Protection on July 17,2023.
文摘Corporate environmental sustainability has become a critical concern, particularly in resource-intensive industries such as pharmaceuticals, where regulatory pressures and stakeholder expectations continue to rise.Despite increasing attention to green leadership, limited research has explored how environmentally responsible leadership(ERL)influences corporate environmental performance(CEP)through employee-driven sustainability behaviors. This study addresses this gap by examining the mediating roles of green knowledge-sharing behavior(GKSB),green innovative behavior(GIB),and voluntary green behavior(VGB),as well as the moderating role of green shared vision(GSV)in the ERL-CEP relationship. The study is grounded in Resource-Based View(RBV),Knowledge-Based View(KBV),Environmental-Based View(EBV),and Triple Bottom Line(TBL)theories, which collectively explain how leadership-driven sustainability efforts create long-term competitive advantages, drive environmental responsibility, and balance economic, social, and environmental sustainability.A quantitative research design was employed, using survey data from 384 employees in Bangladesh’s pharmaceutical sector.Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling(PLS-SEM)in Smart-PLS 4.0 to assess direct, indirect, and moderating effects. The results confirm that ERL has a significant positive impact on CEP,with GKSB,GIB,and VGB acting as mediators, while GSV strengthens the ERL-CEP relationship. This study provides novel empirical evidence on the mechanisms linking green leadership to corporate sustainability, extending the application of RBV,KBV,EBV,and TBL to leadership-driven environmental management. The findings emphasize the importance of leadership training programs,sustainability-focused organizational cultures, and shared environmental visions.Policymakers should consider incentives for companies adopting ERL practices, ensuring that sustainability becomes a strategic, rather than compliance-driven,priority.This study contributes to leadership and sustainability literature by offering a comprehensive framework for integrating ERL into corporate governance and environmental strategies.
文摘Women in leadership and decision-making roles influence the policies and directions of organizations (Ahuja, 2002). Women in leadership value supports from their organizations. Pro-social outcomes of relationship competence are mediated by the development of empathy, collaborative approaches to conflict, self-disclosure, and social interest (Jogulu & Wood, 2006). Decision-making perspectives have uncertainty as the sole reason for organizational leaders to search for additional relevant information to solidify or clarify the information at the leader's disposal. A phenomenological qualitative research study which explored the preferred style of leadership based on three leadership and decision-making styles is presented in this paper1. The researcher gathered insights into the lived experiences of like-minded sample of respondents from the research population as they described their leadership and decisionmaking experiences within their organizations.
