医用电子直线加速器速调管饱和的测试方法

在以速调管作为微波功率源的电子直线加速器中,更换射频驱动器之后,如频繁出现输出剂量率不稳的现象,很可能是速调管没有工作于饱和状态的缘故。文中以西门子Mevatron 77型加速器为例,给出了如何判断速调管是否处于饱和状态的测试方法。

为了研究供应系统振荡对气液同轴离心式喷嘴自激振荡的影响,采用水和空气作为模拟介质,开展了室压条件下冷态喷雾试验。通过试验分析了供应系统有/无振荡两种情况下离心式喷嘴的喷雾形态,以及供应系统有/无振荡两种情况下气液同轴离心... 为了研究供应系统振荡对气液同轴离心式喷嘴自激振荡的影响,采用水和空气作为模拟介质,开展了室压条件下冷态喷雾试验。通过试验分析了供应系统有/无振荡两种情况下离心式喷嘴的喷雾形态,以及供应系统有/无振荡两种情况下气液同轴离心式喷嘴自激振荡的喷雾形态。发现当离心式喷嘴供应系统振荡时,离心式喷嘴产生的锥形液膜也周期性地振荡,同时出现Klystron效应。液膜周期性振荡以及Klystron效应出现的频率与供应系统振荡频率一致。Klystron效应的出现使得喷雾锥角突然减小,锥形液膜发生折叠。供应系统振荡对自激振荡喷雾形态也有显著影响。供应系统振荡引起的Klystron效应使得液膜锥角减小,从而造成"圣诞树"型自激振荡喷雾上的"树枝"增多,同时自激振荡频率增加。这是因为当速度大的液膜追上速度小的液膜时,就会产生Klystron效应并使液膜速度增加。而液膜运动速度越大自激振荡频率也就越大。虽然在供应系统中施加激励没有发生"锁频"现象,但是自激振荡的强度在一定程度上减弱,并且伴随着自激振荡的"分频"现象,即自激振荡频率从一个主频向两侧分化为两个主频。 展开更多

为了解补燃循环液氧煤油发动机预燃室煤油离心喷嘴的自激振荡特性,在大气环境下开展了厚液膜敞口型离心喷嘴自激振荡特性试验研究。无外加激励条件下,使用水作为工作介质,通过增加喷嘴长度的方法实现了敞口型离心喷嘴旋流腔液膜增厚和... 为了解补燃循环液氧煤油发动机预燃室煤油离心喷嘴的自激振荡特性,在大气环境下开展了厚液膜敞口型离心喷嘴自激振荡特性试验研究。无外加激励条件下,使用水作为工作介质,通过增加喷嘴长度的方法实现了敞口型离心喷嘴旋流腔液膜增厚和内流过程持续自激振荡。采用脉动压力传感器和高速相机记录了喷前压力、旋流腔气涡和喷注雾化的振荡特性。研究发现:喷嘴自激振荡过程中,旋流腔气涡周期性地"间断"和"贯通",气涡"间断"时喷注过程具有显著的Klystron效应;喷前压力、旋流腔气涡和喷注雾化过程的振荡频率接近且不同喷注压降条件下振荡频率基本保持在10~45Hz之间,喷注压降对振荡过程的影响较小,喷前压力相对振荡峰值与其振荡频率显著相关;喷嘴的自激振荡过程可能由旋流腔内的液膜流动过程和气涡流动过程的耦合作用主导。 展开更多

为了解管路注气对补燃循环液氧煤油发动机预燃室煤油离心喷嘴喷注过程稳定性的影响,在大气环境下开展了敞口型离心喷嘴注气时喷注过程稳定性试验。使用注气装置在离心喷嘴的上游供应管路中注入空气,通过高速相机记录管路内的两相流特征... 为了解管路注气对补燃循环液氧煤油发动机预燃室煤油离心喷嘴喷注过程稳定性的影响,在大气环境下开展了敞口型离心喷嘴注气时喷注过程稳定性试验。使用注气装置在离心喷嘴的上游供应管路中注入空气,通过高速相机记录管路内的两相流特征和喷嘴喷注过程的振荡特征,采用图像区域亮度分析方法定量评估喷注过程的振荡强度。研究发现:注气能显著改变敞口型离心喷嘴的喷注雾化过程及稳定性特征;注气后雾化液膜破碎距离缩短且喷雾角减小,喷注过程出现明显的振荡并伴随Klystron效应;管路内两相流的气泡尺度较大且切向孔较小时,喷注过程的振荡幅值较大;随着注气量增加,喷注过程的振荡频率降低;气泡尺度及两相流型对离心喷嘴喷注振荡过程的影响与普通气泡雾化喷嘴的显著不同,柱状流型时离心喷嘴喷注过程出现1~3 Hz流量振荡且可能间歇性断流。气泡对切向孔的间歇性堵塞作用可能是喷注过程振荡及Klystron效应的原因。 展开更多

The atomization dynamic characteristics of a simplex swirl injector was investigated experimentally by using a hydrodynamic mechanical pulsator and the shadow photography technique. The frequency response characteristics of the fluid film and atomization fluctuations and their correlations with pressure fluctuations were obtained by using an in-house code of image processing. It is demonstrated that the klystron effect induced by periodic pressure fluctuations results in periodic liquid film fluctuation with large amplitudes, periodic superposition of droplets and reduction of the breakup length. It was found that the atomization of the simplex swirl injector only responds to the pressure fluctuation in frequency range approximately from 0 to 300 Hz, and it is particularly sensitive to pressure fluctuations at frequencies from 100 to 200 Hz. According to this experiment, the responsive frequency limitation is merely affected by injector configuration, rather than the supply line. 展开更多

为全面把握撞击式喷嘴的工作特性,进一步认识雾化在燃烧不稳定中所起的作用,采用试验结合数值模拟的方法开展了强迫扰动条件下撞击式喷嘴的非稳态雾化特性研究。试验方面,采用水力扰动装置产生喷前压力扰动,由脉动压力传感器记录喷前的... 为全面把握撞击式喷嘴的工作特性,进一步认识雾化在燃烧不稳定中所起的作用,采用试验结合数值模拟的方法开展了强迫扰动条件下撞击式喷嘴的非稳态雾化特性研究。试验方面,采用水力扰动装置产生喷前压力扰动,由脉动压力传感器记录喷前的脉动压力,由高速摄影对动态的喷雾场进行背光拍摄。数值模拟则是基于开源程序Gerris开展,通过给定周期性变化的速度入口来模拟前端压力扰动下的撞击雾化过程。首先验证了建立的数值模拟方案处理非稳态雾化的有效性,其次将自然雾化与强迫扰动雾化进行对比,分析了强迫扰动条件下的撞击雾化特性,最后研究了扰动频率与扰动幅值对于撞击雾化的影响。结果表明:强迫扰动下的射流撞击喷雾场出现了弓形液滴群局部聚集的现象,并且在时间上表现出周期性特征,雾化频率与强迫扰动的频率一致。在研究的频率范围(1 257~3 563Hz)内,撞击式喷嘴的雾化对扰动都有响应。扰动频率主要影响相邻弓形液滴群之间的间距以及雾场与扰动压力之间的相位关系,扰动幅值则主要影响雾化Klystron效应的强度。随着扰动幅值的增大,液膜的破碎长度减小,撞击点下游的流量特性由线性向非线性转变,由正弦波形转变为陡峭前缘波形。 展开更多

为加深对背压振荡环境下雾化特性的认识,针对在液体火箭发动机中广泛应用的气液同轴直流式喷嘴、撞击式喷嘴与离心式喷嘴,综述了背压振荡环境下单束液体射流、气液同轴射流、射流撞击以及旋流雾化特性的研究进展,总结了背压振荡影响雾... 为加深对背压振荡环境下雾化特性的认识,针对在液体火箭发动机中广泛应用的气液同轴直流式喷嘴、撞击式喷嘴与离心式喷嘴,综述了背压振荡环境下单束液体射流、气液同轴射流、射流撞击以及旋流雾化特性的研究进展,总结了背压振荡影响雾场的主要作用机制,阐述了以往研究中存在的一些问题以及需要突破的若干关键技术难题。通过综述可知,背压振荡主要通过两个方面影响雾场:一是通过改变喷注压降影响喷射,继而影响雾化过程;二是通过振荡的气相流场直接作用于雾场。背压振荡环境下的雾化研究仍需要开展大量工作,且需要突破以下几个技术难点:在试验方面,需要设计可以产生高频率、高幅值压力振荡的反压舱装置,同时对雾场的干扰要降到最小;发展先进的光学诊断方法,可以用于反压舱内雾场信息的提取;在数值模拟方面,需要开展雾化过程的高精度数值模拟,同时研究压力波的产生、发展及演化过程,在这两点基础上研究背压振荡与雾场的相互作用。 展开更多

This paper presents an experimental study into dynamics of chamber pressure and heat release rate during self-excited spinning and standing azimuthal mode in NTO/MMH (nitrogen tetroxide/monomethylhydrazine) impinging combustion chambers.Nine cases including two combustion chamber configurations were conducted.The operating conditions of all unstable cases were located in the instability region according to Hewitt empirical correlation.The results show that chamber pressure oscillations keep pace with the corresponding OH*chemiluminescence intensity over the whole combustion region in the spinning and standing modes.It is indicated that the Rayleigh index is positive over the whole combustion area in all the unstable cases.A significant supersonic flame front structure of the first-order spinning mode was found in a cylindrical chamber,which means that a detonation wave could exist in the cylindrical chamber without a center body.The pressure and heat release rate oscillations at the pressure node are nonnegligible although their amplitudes are lower than those at the pressure antinode in the first-order standing mode with an annular chamber.Besides,the dominant frequency of pressure and heat release rate oscillations at the pressure node is twice as high as that at the pressure antinode. 展开更多

An experimental study on the Klystron effect of periodic injection modulated by pressure drop fluctuations on subsequent atomization is conducted. Time-resolved atomization backlit images and atomization Mie scatter images are captured by using the high speed camera. It is found that periodicity of forced atomization relies on pressure drop fluctuation amplitude and phase differences between atomization and pressure drop fluctuations relate to fluctuation frequencies. This feature of periodic atomization induced by Klystron effect corresponds to periodicities and high amplitudes of pressure fluctuations in unstable combustion chambers and chaos and low amplitudes of pressure fluctuations in stable combustions chambers. Drastically periodic varying of gross surface area of droplets with time was shown in Mie scatter images. The importance of periodic impinging jet atomization modulated by pressure drop fluctuations for acoustic liquid propellant combustion instabilities is illustrated. 展开更多

Research progresses on Cherenkov and transit-time high-power microwave(HPM)sources in National University of Defense Technology(NUDT)of China are presented.The research issues are focused on the following aspects.The pulse-shortening phenomenon in O-type Cerenkov HPM devices is suppressed.The compact coaxial relativistic backward-wave oscillators(RBWOs)at low bands are developed.The power efficiency in M-Type HPM tubes without guiding magnetic field increased.The power capacities and power efficiencies in the triaxial klystron amplifier(TKA)and relativistic transit-time oscillator(TTO)at higher frequencies increased.In experiments,some exciting results were obtained.The X-band source generated 2 GW microwave power with a pulse duration of 110 ns in 30 Hz repetition mode.Both L-and P-band compact RBWOs generated over 2 GW microwave power with a power efficiency of over 30%.There is approximately a 75% decline of the volume compared with that of conventional RBWO under the same power capacity conditions.A 1.755 GHz MILO produced 3.1 GW microwave power with power efficiency of 10.4%.A 9.37 GHz TKA produced the 240 MW microwave power with the gain of 34 dB.A 14.3 GHz TTO produced 1 GW microwave power with power efficiency of 20%. 展开更多

To reduce the energy demand and operation cost for circular electron positron collider(CEPC), the high efficiency klystrons are being developed at Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. A 800-k W continuous wave(CW) klystron operating at frequency of 650-MHz has been designed. The results of beam–wave interaction simulation with several different codes are presented. The efficiency is optimized to be 65% with a second harmonic cavity in three-dimensional(3D) particle-in-cell code CST. The effect of cavity frequency error and mismatch load on efficiency of klystron have been investigated. The design and cold test of reentrant cavities are described, which meet the requirements of RF section design. So far, the manufacturing and high-power test of the first klystron prototype have been completed.When the gun operated at DC voltage of 80 k V and current of 15.4 A, the klystron peak power reached 804 k W with output efficiency of about 65.3% at 40% duty cycle. The 1-d B bandwidth is ±0.8 MHZ. Due to the crack of ceramic window, the CW power achieved about 700 kW. The high-power test results are in good agreement with 3D simulation. 展开更多

This paper presents the first phase of design, analysis, and simulation for the klystron coaxial radio frequency(RF)output window. This study is motivated by 800 kW continuous wave(CW), 650 MHz klystrons for the future plan of circular electron–positron collider(CEPC) project. The RF window which is used in the klystron output section has a function to separate the klystron from the inner vacuum side to the outside, and high RF power propagates through the window with small power dissipation. Therefore, the window is a key component for the high power klystron. However, it is vulnerable to the high thermal stress and multipacting, so this paper presents the window design and analysis for these problems. The microwave design has been performed by using the computer simulation technology(CST) microwave studio and the return loss of the window has been established to be less than-90 d B. The multipacting simulation of the window has been carried out using MultiPac and CST particles studio. Through the multipacting analysis, it is shown that with thin coating of TiN, the multipacting effect has been suppressed effectively on the ceramic surface. The thermal analysis is carried out using ANSYS code and the temperature of alumina ceramic is lower than 310 K with water cooling.The design result successfully meets the requirement of the CEPC 650 MHz klystron. The manufacturing and high power test plan are also described in this paper. 展开更多

The paper has two parts. The first part deals with encryption of binary data by Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) using VHDL modeling of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The second part deals with a novel idea of transmitting the encrypted data by using a single klystron. This requires the simultaneous generation of a pair of two independent RF frequencies from a reflex klystron working for X-band frequency range. In this scheme, the klystron is suitably biased on the repeller terminal and superimposed on a train of AES encrypted binary data so as to create two RF frequencies one corresponding to negative peaks and the other one to the positive peaks of the data resulting in an Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) signal. The paper mainly presents the design of beam-wave interaction of a C-band high-peakpower high-efficiency broadband klystron.The beam-wave interaction section is designed based on considerations of efficiency and bandwidth synthetically.As a part of beam-wave interaction section,buncher section is simulated by Particle-In-Cell(PIC) code to observe the bunching process of electron beam to achieve high conversion efficiency of electron beam and RF field.When it comes to the other part,output circuit is designed as a three-section filter by an output cavity loaded with Chebyshev filter,and the cold test results are given.The beam-wave interaction is simulated by EGUN code and Arsenal-MSU code respectively.The simulated results indicated that,the existence of power dips in the operating bandwidth is verified by Arsenal-MSU code,comparing proper results by EGUN code.Then,the method that design parameters are not adjusted except parameters of buncher cavities to remove potential power dips is described.What is more,the simulated results of electron optics system are given by EGUN code and Arsenal-MSU code respectively.The further hot test results of klystron prove that the whole design of beam-wave interaction is effective. 展开更多
