Most researchers now follow the scientific development in their expertise area through PubMed, Google Scholar, E-alert and Faculty 1000, etc. This in turn will bring changes to the way of scientific publishing. In JIPB's case, we have seen a sharp increase of the number of downloads and online subscriptions during the last couple of years, compared to a rather stable hardcopy subscription rate for the same period.展开更多

This will allow authors to publish in JIPB in full color online and in black/white in print without any fee! For those authors who would like to publish color figures in print version, a small fee will still be applied. This will make your publication in JIPB a lot cheaper and easier. The ground-breaking decision was not made lightly, but we strongly believe that costs should not be a barrier to publish high quality scientific papers. This will make JIPB as very few exceptional free-to-publish plant science journals in the world.展开更多

In the fast-developing modern world, various tools are available to evaluate the track record, or publication profile of a scientist. Pursuits to achieve research results that are published in the highest impact factor (IF) journals has often become the aim of the "game", Consequently, manipulating publications to obtain higher impact factors has also become the aim of game in some journals. However, at JIPB, we do things differently.展开更多
