Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Di-μ_2-phenolic Bridged Binuclear Manganese(Ⅲ) Schiff Base Complex

A new complex [Mn(L)(NCS)]2·0.5CH3CN (H2L = N,N'-bis(chlorosalicylidene)-1,2-diaminoethane) has been synthesized,and its structure (C70H51Cl8Mn4N13O8S4,Mr = 1833.84) was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system,space group C2/c with a = 25.883(2),b = 12.3320(13),c = 13.5951(16) ,β = 112.906(2),V = 3997.2(7) 3,Z = 2,Dc = 1.524 g/cm3,μ(MoKα) = 1.050mm-1,F(000) = 1852,S = 1.098,the final R = 0.0630 and wR = 0.1847 for 2542 reflections with Ⅰ 〉 2σ(Ⅰ). The centrosymmetric title complex contains a dimer in which two distorted octahedral Mn(Ⅲ) centers are bridged equatorially by phenolic oxygen of the Schiff base ligand. The units of the complex are linked via weak C-H···N hydrogen bonds,leading to the formation of 1D chains along the b axis. The weak π-π packing interactions and weak intermolecular C(3)-H(3)···N(3) hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure. 展开更多

A new Schiff base (LK) obtained from 2, 4, -dihydroxybenzaldehyde and glycly-DL- phenylalanine reacted with Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) to yield new complexes. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, 1H NMR DTA, TG, IR and UV spectroscopy. In these complexes the ligand is coordinated to the metal through its phenolic oxygen, carboxyl oxygen, imino nitrogen and amide nitrogen. All complexes are non-electrolytes and four coordinated with 1:1(metal; ligand) stoichiometry. The probable structure of the complexes is suggested 展开更多

The lanthanide complexes containing a bulky tridentate [N,N,O] Schiff base ligand 3,5-But2-2-(OH)C6H2CH=N-8-C9H6N (HL) were synthesized and characterized. The reaction of anhydrous LnCl3 with NaL formed in situ in a 1:1 molar ratio in THF at room temperature afforded the lanthanide Schiff base dichloride complexes LnLCl2(DME) (Ln=Eu (1); Sm (2)). Complexes 1 and 2 can be used as precursors for the synthesis of the lanthanide cyclopentadienyl Schiff base derivatives. The reactions of complexes 1 and 2 with one equiv of NaCH3C5H4 in THF provided the desired products LnL(CH3C5H4)CI(THF).THF (Ln=Eu (3); Sm (4)) in good isolated yields. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and X-ray structural determination, in the case of complexes 3 and 4. The crystal data of complex 3 are monoclinic, P21/C space group, a=1.3370(2) nm, b=1.5190(2) nm, c=1.8910(3) nm, β=109.846(4)°, V=3.6125(8) nm^3, Z=4, Dc=1.416 mg/m^3,μ=1.847 mm^-1, F(000)=1584, R=0.0707, wR=0.1350. The crystal data of complex 4 are monoclinic, P21/c space group, a=1.3383(1) nm, b=1.5210(2) nm, c=1.8960(2) nm, β =109.878(3)°, V=3.6293(7) nm^3, Z=4, Dc=1.407 mg/m^3, μ=1.728 mm^-1, F(000)= 1580, R=0.0670, wR=0.1385. 展开更多

Three solid metal complexes of this ligand \[Ln(H2L)(NO3)\] NO3·2H2O (Ln=La, Sm, Ho) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, UV spectra, TG-DTG and molar conductance. The antibacterial activities of the ligand and its complexes are also studied. The antibacterial experiments indicate that the ligand and its complexes possess antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis and that the complexes have higher activity than those of the ligand. 展开更多

Two new Cu(Ⅱ) complexes have been synthesized with two different bidentate N2O2 donor Schiffbase ligands HL1 (2-((E)-(4-chlorophenylimino)methyl)-6-bromo-4-chlorophenol) and HL2 (2-((E)-(2-chlorophenylimino)methyl)-6-bromo-4-chlorophenol), respectively. Both complexes 1 and 2 have been characterized by elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Structural studies reveal that in both complexes the metal centers are four-coordinated with N202 donor set of Schiff base ligands. Complex 1 belongs to the tetragonal system, space group P4(3)2(1)2 with a = 10.2379(2), b = 10.2379(2), c = 24.9623(90) A, V = 2616.41(12) A^3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.908 g/cm^3,μ(MoKa) = 4.3327 mm^-1, F(000) = 1468, S = 0.999, the final R = 0.0345 and wR = 0.0835 for 3506 unique reflections (Rint= 0.0428) with 3249 observed ones (I 〉 2σ(I)). Complex 2 is of monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 11.064(3), b = 9.437(2), c = 13.277(4) A, fl = 108.997(3)°, V = 1310.8(6) A^3, Z = 2, Dc= 1.904 g/cm^3,μ(MoKa) = 4.319 mm^-1, F(000) = 734, S = 0.997, the final R = 0.0282 and wR = 0.0619 for 3491 unique reflections (Rint = 0.0428) with 2777 observed ones (I 〉 20(I)). These compounds abbreviated as SG, CuSG, ZnSG, CoSG were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV Vis, 1 H NMR and MS spectrum. ESR spectrum, magnetic susceptibility measured by Evans method for CuSG had also been done. It is suggested that the complexes in solution have pseudotetrahedral structure. 氨基酸Schiff Base金属配合物由于在磁学、非线性光学材料、荧光探针、生物活性等诸多领域有着潜在的应用价值,受到了极大的关注。本文采用L-苯丙氨酸与2-乙酰吡啶反应,合成了一种新型Schiff Base。随后用溶剂热合成法制得蓝色的L-苯丙... 氨基酸Schiff Base金属配合物由于在磁学、非线性光学材料、荧光探针、生物活性等诸多领域有着潜在的应用价值,受到了极大的关注。本文采用L-苯丙氨酸与2-乙酰吡啶反应,合成了一种新型Schiff Base。随后用溶剂热合成法制得蓝色的L-苯丙氨酸Schiff Base金属铜的配合物单晶,并通过X射线单晶衍射、红外光谱、热重分析等对实验产物进行了结构解析和性质表征。为进一步了解其内在结构和性质,采用密度泛函理论,在分子水平进行了理论计算,对配合物进行了全优化,并在优化构型的基础上探讨了其平衡结构、NBO电荷分布和转移以及红外光谱等。结果表明,2个金属Cu(Ⅱ)离子分别与配体中的2个N、1个O原子配位,形成中心对称的六配位的弱氯桥双核化合物。该晶体属单斜晶系,晶胞参数a=1.246nm,b=0.886nm,c=1.451nm,α=90°,β=101.982(2)°,γ=90°。通过对单晶结构、NBO电荷、红外光谱的探讨,进一步说明了配位键的形成和配体在配位前后结构的变化,可为氨基酸金属配合物的合成、性质及应用研究提供理论参考。 展开更多

A series of seven novel lanthanide(Ⅲ ) nitrato complexes with 4-[ N-(2-methoxybenzylimine)formyl] 1-2, 3- dimethyl-1-phenyl-3-pyazolin-5-one (2mbfa), were synthesized. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molecular mass determination, conductance and magnetic moment measurements, IR, UV-visible, and ^13CNMR spectral studies, In these complexes, the Schiff base, 2mbfa, acts as neutral bidentate ligand by utilizing the carbonyl oxygen and azomethine nitrogen as donor sites. All the three nitrate ions are also coordinated unidentately with 7 coordination for the lanthanide(Ⅲ) ions with a tentative monocapped octahedral geometry for the complexes. All the seven lanthanide(Ⅲ) complexes have a general formula, [ Ln(2mbfa):(NO3)3 ]. 展开更多
