Expanding a city’s cultural influence through museums is a growing trend in local efforts to promote cultural advancement and communication in China in the context of international engagement in the new era.Chengdu M...Expanding a city’s cultural influence through museums is a growing trend in local efforts to promote cultural advancement and communication in China in the context of international engagement in the new era.Chengdu Museum,which opened its new venue to the public in 2016,has emphasized the importance of engagement with foreign visitors as a key focus of its recent development.This aligns with Chengdu’s goal of establishing itself as a world-renowned cultural and creative city during the 14th Five-Year Plan period(2021–2025).This paper summarizes the approaches of renowned Chinese and foreign museums to expanding their international influence,citing examples such as the British Museum,the Louvre Museum,and the National Museum of China.Based on a case study of Chengdu Museum’s efforts to enhance its international communication capacity since 2016,several suggestions are put forward for urban museums regarding how to increase research capability,create a media matrix,and develop cloud exhibition platforms.This study aims to provide some insights for museums to effectively integrate resources to preserve urban culture urban culture and enhance the global influence of Chinese culture.展开更多

In this paper,under the assumption of neutral and barotropic atmosphere,by means of the analytic solution of motion equation of PBL,the influences of nonstationary process on the internal parameters u_*/A(A is the win...In this paper,under the assumption of neutral and barotropic atmosphere,by means of the analytic solution of motion equation of PBL,the influences of nonstationary process on the internal parameters u_*/A(A is the wind speed at the top of PBL)and ■(the angle between winds near the surface and at the top of PBL)of PBL are investigated in which the wind direction at the top of PBL is a periodic function of time but the wind speed at the top of PBL does not change.The u_*/A increases and ■ decreases when the wind direction at the top of PBL rotates anticlockwise and vice versa.Hence the parameterization of PBL in the large-scale models derived under the stationary condition should be corrected by accounting for the nonstationary process.The similar results are obtained in the numerical solution of the motion equation of PBL.The influences of this nonstationary process on the profiles of the wind in PBL are also analyzed.展开更多

Female science and technology(S&T)workers have played an increasingly important role in scientific research in China and have made remarkable contributions to that field.Using scientific surveys and publicly avail...Female science and technology(S&T)workers have played an increasingly important role in scientific research in China and have made remarkable contributions to that field.Using scientific surveys and publicly available awards data,this paper examines the specific status of female S&T workers,including the workforce structure,their domestic contributions and their international influence.Our analysis reveals the problems encountered by female S&T workers in research output,working time,development opportunities and professional voice,as wel as the challenges they face during pregnancy and postnatal nursing.To solve these problems,relevant government departments should introduce more effective steps,respect women's contributions,step up publicity and provide effective assurance policies to promote the long-term and in-depth development of female scientific researchers.展开更多
