Objective:To explore the effect of implementing the case-based three-dimensional teaching method guided by evidence-based thinking in the teaching of trainee nurses in the rehabilitation department.Method:Eighty nursi...Objective:To explore the effect of implementing the case-based three-dimensional teaching method guided by evidence-based thinking in the teaching of trainee nurses in the rehabilitation department.Method:Eighty nursing practice nurses who were conducting clinical practice learning in the Rehabilitation Department of Deyang People’s Hospital from June 2024 to May 2025 were selected as the research subjects.By using the controlled grouping method,the practice nurses from June 2024 to November 2024 were taken as the control group(n=40).The period from December 2024 to May 2025 was taken as the experimental group(n=40 students),the control group was taught by traditional teaching methods,and the experimental group was taught by evidence-based nursing combined with case teaching method.The clinical thinking ability,autonomous learning ability,exit assessment scores and teaching satisfaction of the two groups of intern nurses at the time of leaving the department were compared.Results:At the time of leaving the department,the scores of each dimension and the total score of clinical thinking ability of the intern nurses in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(t=9.268,6.354,6.199)9.694,all p<0.05).At the time of leaving the department the scores of each dimension and the total score of the autonomous learning ability of the intern nurses in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(t=6.998,7.333,5.503,5.977,22.244)all p<0.05).At the time of leaving the department the theoretical assessment scores and operational assessment scores of the experimental group were both higher than those of the control group(t=14.546,11.676,all p<0.05).At the time of graduation,the teaching satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(χ^(2)=7.314,p<0.05.Conclusion:The adoption of the case-based three-dimensional teaching.Rehabilitation method guided by the evidence-based ideology during the teaching process can effectively improve the clinical thinking ability,autonomous learning ability,departmental assessment results and teaching satisfaction of the intern nurses in the rehabilitation department,which is worthy of reference.展开更多
This study investigates the mental health challenges faced by international nursing students in the Philippines during a global health disruption like the COVID-19 pandemic,particularly focusing on symptoms of depress...This study investigates the mental health challenges faced by international nursing students in the Philippines during a global health disruption like the COVID-19 pandemic,particularly focusing on symptoms of depression,anxiety,and stress(DAS).With the first incidence of global outbreak in the Philippines reported in 2020,the pandemic has intensified psychological distress among international students,who already struggle with sociocultural adjustment issues such as alienation and culture shock.The study aimed to determine the prevalence and contributing factors of DAS among this group.Using descriptive statistics and the DASS-21 tool,the research found that international nursing students exhibited alarmingly high levels of depression,anxiety,and stress.Pearson’s test of association was employed to explore relationships between DAS symptoms and demographic variables.Results highlighted key predictors of mental health distress,including age,gender,length of stay in the country,and sleep patterns.These findings address a significant gap in existing literature concerning international students’mental health in the Philippines during pandemics.The study concludes by urging healthcare providers and policymakers to integrate these insights into emergency preparedness plans and educational reforms,emphasizing the importance of supporting the psychological well-being of international students during crises.Replication with additional variables is recommended for a more comprehensive understanding.展开更多
Objective:To address the problems of disconnection between teaching and practice,weak clinical thinking,and poor post adaptability of students in traditional internal medicine nursing teaching,explore the“dual-teache...Objective:To address the problems of disconnection between teaching and practice,weak clinical thinking,and poor post adaptability of students in traditional internal medicine nursing teaching,explore the“dual-teacher linkage”collaborative teaching path,and improve teaching quality and students’post adaptability.Methods:Two classes of nursing majors in Grade 2023 of our college were selected as research objects.The experimental group(100 students)adopted the“dual-teacher linkage”model(on-campus teachers+clinical experts)to build a“pre-class co-research–in-class coguidance–post-class co-evaluation”system;the control group(98 students)adopted traditional teaching.Comparisons were made after one semester of practice.Results:The average score of the comprehensive assessment in the experimental group was 85.6 points(76.3 points in the control group,p<0.05).The clinical decision-making ability,program improvement ability,and post competence evaluation of the experimental group were all superior to those of the control group,and 93.3%of students were satisfied with this model.Conclusion:The“dual-teacher linkage”model can organically unify knowledge transmission and ability training,and is an effective and innovative practice to deepen the reform of internal medicine nursing teaching and cultivate high-quality skilled nursing talents.展开更多
Objective:To analyze the correlation between perceived stress,job burnout,and subjective well-being among undergraduate nursing interns.Methods:A total of 260 clinical nursing interns who interned in tertiary hospital...Objective:To analyze the correlation between perceived stress,job burnout,and subjective well-being among undergraduate nursing interns.Methods:A total of 260 clinical nursing interns who interned in tertiary hospitals from July 2024 to April 2025 were selected as the survey subjects.They were administered the Chinese version of the Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS),the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey(MBI-HSS),and the General Well-being Schedule(GWB)to evaluate the correlation between perceived stress,job burnout,and subjective well-being.Results:The subjective well-being scores of those with higher perceived stress were lower than those with moderate stress;individuals with severe job burnout had lower subjective well-being compared to those without job burnout or with mild to moderate job burnout levels(p<0.05).Correlation analysis revealed that the subjective well-being of undergraduate nursing interns was negatively correlated with perceived stress and job burnout(p<0.05).Conclusion:Undergraduate nursing interns experience significant perceived stress and a strong sense of job burnout.Their subjective well-being is correlated with their perceived stress and job burnout.It is necessary to optimize the clinical teaching model and provide psychological skills training to alleviate the interns’perceived stress and job burnout,thereby significantly enhancing their subjective well-being.展开更多
[Objectives]To explore the effectiveness of integrating ideological and political education based on the Nightingale spirit into the clinical practice curriculum for nursing interns.[Methods]A total of 90 questionnair...[Objectives]To explore the effectiveness of integrating ideological and political education based on the Nightingale spirit into the clinical practice curriculum for nursing interns.[Methods]A total of 90 questionnaires were distributed and analyzed among nursing interns and patients to evaluate multiple dimensions,including the interns satisfaction with the internship,mastery of clinical knowledge,ideological and political literacy,professional ethics,and social responsibility.[Results]The overall internship satisfaction of nursing interns reached 98.9%,indicating that the course design and teaching model were widely recognized by students.Secondly,the interns demonstrated excellent mastery of clinical knowledge,with 94.0%of students stating they had fully grasped the clinical knowledge taught during the internship,an increase of 18.6%compared to the previous cohort.In terms of ideological and political literacy,98%of students had a better understanding and application of the Nightingale spirit,an increase of 16.2%compared to the previous cohort.Additionally,the sense of professional identity was significantly enhanced,with 95.8%of students showing a stronger sense of identity and responsibility towards the nursing profession,an increase of 14.0%compared to the previous cohort.Patients also gave high evaluations of the interns performance,with 98.8%expressing satisfaction with the students attitude and performance in nursing care.[Conclusions]The curriculum model based on the integration of Nightingale spirit has effectively improved the professional quality,ideological and political quality and professional identity of nursing interns,and has been highly recognized by patients.It not only provides strong support for the practice of combining ideological and political work with professional courses in nursing education,but also provides a reference for the optimization of clinical practice teaching mode of nursing interns in the future.展开更多

Objective:Since nursing is a performance-based profession,clinical learning environments play an important role in the acquisition of professional abilities and train nursing students to enter the nursing profession a...Objective:Since nursing is a performance-based profession,clinical learning environments play an important role in the acquisition of professional abilities and train nursing students to enter the nursing profession and become a registered nurse.The study aimed to investigate the relations among professional identity,wellness,and future hope in nurse interns.Methods:A cross-sectional,analytic,descriptive,correlational study design was used to test these relations in the study where 210 nurse interns’students were selected using a convenience sampling from Zagazig University hospitals and Suez Canal University hospitals in Egypt.The questionnaires consisted of 4 parts,namely demographic characteristics,Professional Identity Scale for Nursing Students(PISNS),Holistic Health and Wellness Survey,and Hope scale.Results:Less than half of the study sample had chosen nursing specialty by own will(43.8%),while slightly more than half of them had a"very good"graduation level,and had no nursing role model.The lowest mean professional identity score was for independence in career choice while the highest was for social modeling.The repor ted physical wellness mean-score was the least,while social wellness was the highest.Professional identity,wellness,and future hope scores differed significantly based on nurse interns’personal characteristics.There were statistically significant,positive,weak-to-moderate correlations among the scores of professional identity,wellness,and future hope;however,the"choice of nursing study by own will"was a statistically significant independent positive predictor of the scores of professional identity,wellness,and future hope.Conclusions:Nurse interns’professional identity,wellness,and future hope were positively inter-correlated.However,nurse interns’wellness was the lowest,and it should be fostered as it was the main predictor for future hope.The internship programs should be modulated to improve nurse interns’professional identity,par ticularly regarding independence,and should foster their well-being in the clinical environment.展开更多

文摘Objective:To analyze the correlation between perceived stress,job burnout,and subjective well-being among undergraduate nursing interns.Methods:A total of 260 clinical nursing interns who interned in tertiary hospitals from July 2024 to April 2025 were selected as the survey subjects.They were administered the Chinese version of the Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS),the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey(MBI-HSS),and the General Well-being Schedule(GWB)to evaluate the correlation between perceived stress,job burnout,and subjective well-being.Results:The subjective well-being scores of those with higher perceived stress were lower than those with moderate stress;individuals with severe job burnout had lower subjective well-being compared to those without job burnout or with mild to moderate job burnout levels(p<0.05).Correlation analysis revealed that the subjective well-being of undergraduate nursing interns was negatively correlated with perceived stress and job burnout(p<0.05).Conclusion:Undergraduate nursing interns experience significant perceived stress and a strong sense of job burnout.Their subjective well-being is correlated with their perceived stress and job burnout.It is necessary to optimize the clinical teaching model and provide psychological skills training to alleviate the interns’perceived stress and job burnout,thereby significantly enhancing their subjective well-being.

文摘[Objectives]To explore the effectiveness of integrating ideological and political education based on the Nightingale spirit into the clinical practice curriculum for nursing interns.[Methods]A total of 90 questionnaires were distributed and analyzed among nursing interns and patients to evaluate multiple dimensions,including the interns satisfaction with the internship,mastery of clinical knowledge,ideological and political literacy,professional ethics,and social responsibility.[Results]The overall internship satisfaction of nursing interns reached 98.9%,indicating that the course design and teaching model were widely recognized by students.Secondly,the interns demonstrated excellent mastery of clinical knowledge,with 94.0%of students stating they had fully grasped the clinical knowledge taught during the internship,an increase of 18.6%compared to the previous cohort.In terms of ideological and political literacy,98%of students had a better understanding and application of the Nightingale spirit,an increase of 16.2%compared to the previous cohort.Additionally,the sense of professional identity was significantly enhanced,with 95.8%of students showing a stronger sense of identity and responsibility towards the nursing profession,an increase of 14.0%compared to the previous cohort.Patients also gave high evaluations of the interns performance,with 98.8%expressing satisfaction with the students attitude and performance in nursing care.[Conclusions]The curriculum model based on the integration of Nightingale spirit has effectively improved the professional quality,ideological and political quality and professional identity of nursing interns,and has been highly recognized by patients.It not only provides strong support for the practice of combining ideological and political work with professional courses in nursing education,but also provides a reference for the optimization of clinical practice teaching mode of nursing interns in the future.

文摘Objective:To investigate the current situation of knowledge,attitude,and practice(KAP)of nursing informatics for intern nursing students.Methods:A total of 213 intern nursing students were selected as subjects.Results:The total score of the questionnaire of knowledge dimension was 10.32±3.23;the score of attitude dimension was 58.78±6.80;the score of practice dimension was 29.06±14.35.Logistic regression analysis showed that further learning plans,telemedicine hospital intern experience,self-learning ability,and telecare training were the related influencing factors of KAP(P<0.05).Conclusions:The current KAP level of nursing informatics among intern nursing students was low to moderate.Hence,the strengthening of school courses and skill training programs is urgently needed.
文摘Objective:Since nursing is a performance-based profession,clinical learning environments play an important role in the acquisition of professional abilities and train nursing students to enter the nursing profession and become a registered nurse.The study aimed to investigate the relations among professional identity,wellness,and future hope in nurse interns.Methods:A cross-sectional,analytic,descriptive,correlational study design was used to test these relations in the study where 210 nurse interns’students were selected using a convenience sampling from Zagazig University hospitals and Suez Canal University hospitals in Egypt.The questionnaires consisted of 4 parts,namely demographic characteristics,Professional Identity Scale for Nursing Students(PISNS),Holistic Health and Wellness Survey,and Hope scale.Results:Less than half of the study sample had chosen nursing specialty by own will(43.8%),while slightly more than half of them had a"very good"graduation level,and had no nursing role model.The lowest mean professional identity score was for independence in career choice while the highest was for social modeling.The repor ted physical wellness mean-score was the least,while social wellness was the highest.Professional identity,wellness,and future hope scores differed significantly based on nurse interns’personal characteristics.There were statistically significant,positive,weak-to-moderate correlations among the scores of professional identity,wellness,and future hope;however,the"choice of nursing study by own will"was a statistically significant independent positive predictor of the scores of professional identity,wellness,and future hope.Conclusions:Nurse interns’professional identity,wellness,and future hope were positively inter-correlated.However,nurse interns’wellness was the lowest,and it should be fostered as it was the main predictor for future hope.The internship programs should be modulated to improve nurse interns’professional identity,par ticularly regarding independence,and should foster their well-being in the clinical environment.

文摘Clinical decision-making and judgment is an essential skill that should be acquired by nursing interns.However,many studies reveal that a large proportion of nursing interns have difficulty in meeting the basic expectation of clinical decision-making.This article begins with a brief review of some theories related to clinical decision-making.Then it takes a case,for example,to show how the wrong decision is made.Furthermore,it makes a general analysis on the case drawing on the concept of bounded rationality,dual-process model,and skills acquisition theory.This article ends with some reflections from the case,to improve the consciousness and skills in decision-making for nursing interns.

Methods: through the current analysis of the course teaching and assessment of "Internal Medicine Nursing", combined with the needs of nursing professional post competency, implement the diversified assessment practice based on Internet + post competency oriented, and analyze the cognition of students diversified assessment practice through investigation. Results: in the course diversity appraisal practice, with the help of the Internet + post competency oriented, diversified assessment plan, rich learning process assessment, increase the proportion of skill assessment and comprehensive analysis ability assessment, around nursing professional post competency, through diversified comprehensive assessment evaluation of students. Compared with the control class, the experimental class has significantly improved the basic nursing ability, nursing care and professional spirit (P 0.05), and also had obvious results in improving the independent learning ability, team spirit and practical ability (P 0.01). Conclusion: the diversified evaluation practice of Internal Nursing can better evaluate students learning situation and improve the teaching quality.
文摘Objective: to understand the effect of mental health care in hypertensive patients. Methods: in this study, 268 medical hypertensive patients from January 2021 to December 2021 were divided into two groups according to the nursing method: normal control group and control group, 134 patients per group. At the same time of daily care, strengthen the health education of patients, and compare the cure rates of patients in the two wards. Results: the control groups comprehensive grasp of hypertension was 39.55%, which was significantly lower than the control groups 70.15% (P<0.05). Conclusion: the application of strengthening health education in medical nursing of hypertensive patients has a positive impact on improving patients treatment compliance and enhancing patients health awareness, and has clinical significance and value.

文摘Objective:To assess the clinical competency of nursing interns and the perception of clinical nurse mentors toward student nurses'clinical competency.Methods:A study was carried out among 104 nursing interns and 26 clinical nurse mentors using the purposive sampling technique.A self-repor ted perception scale was used to collect the data.Results:In general,most nursing interns perceived themselves as clinically competent during the internship.The clinical nurse mentors too repor ted that the current internship is helping the nursing interns in becoming competent.Conclusions:Frequent clinical evaluation,buddy system,provision of stipends,good leadership,and coordination between the academic institute and hospital are repor ted as the critical motivating factors for improving the clinical competency of student interns.

文摘Objective: to analyze the effect of PBL combined with CBL teaching on ophthalmic nursing interns by clinical teachers. Methods: the time span of the study was from September 2019 to September 2020. The subjects of the study were mainly ophthalmology nursing interns from our hospital. A total of 82 ophthalmology nursing interns were included in the study. They were grouped based on teachers' teaching methods. The interns who received traditional teaching methods were included in the comparison group, and the interns who received PBL combined with CBL teaching were included in the experiment group. The teaching effects of the two groups were compared. Results: the examination results and nursing ability scores of the nursing interns in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: the application of PBL combined with CBL teaching method in ophthalmology nursing interns can improve the assessment results and working ability of nursing interns.
文摘Objective: To explore the effectiveness of OSCE-based Escape Room Approach for nursing training in the Department of Gastroenterology. Method: 160 nursing students who were interns in the Department of Gastroenterology of the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were enrolled and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 80 participants in each group. Conventional approach and the Escape Room Approach were employed for the experimental group and the control group, respectively. Result: The critical thinking capability, learning engagement, scores of self-regulated learning capability of clinical nursing practice and final scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P Conclusion: OSCE-based Escape Room Approach can effectively enhance critical thinking capability, learning engagement, scores of self-regulated learning capability of clinical nursing practice, and knowledge and skills of the nursing interns.
文摘Objective:To observe and analyze the application of the bedside rhetorical teaching method in teaching nursing interns.Methods:A total of 64 nursing interns in the gastroenterology department of our hospital from July 2022 to May 2023 were randomly divided into two groups,32 cases in the control group and 32 cases in the intervention group.The control group was given conventional teaching methods,and the intervention group was given the bedside rhetorical teaching method on the basis of the conventional teaching.The differences in the methods of teaching between the two groups were compared after the end of the internship,and there was a statistically significant difference with P<0.05.Results:The scores of the interns in the intervention group were significantly better than those of the control group in theoretical knowledge,communication skills,and case analysis items(P<0.05).Conclusion:The bedside rhetorical teaching method transforms classroom education into bedside teaching,which enables the interns to apply the theoretical knowledge to clinical practice,and has a higher improvement in the three aspects of disease knowledge,communication skills,and case analysis,cultivates the interns’comprehensive clinical skills,and lays a good foundation for the future entry into the nursing field.

文摘Objective:To investigate the implementation effects of the workshop teaching model based on the DEU(Dedicated Education Unit)philosophy in clinical nursing education for intern nurses,and analyze its impacts on students’critical thinking abilities,operational skill levels,and satisfaction.Methods:A total of 80 undergraduate nursing students interning at a tertiary hospital in Deyang City from January to June 2025 were randomly divided into an experimental group(40 students)and a control group(40 students).The control group received conventional lecture-based instruction,while the experimental group adopted the DEU-based workshop teaching model.Comparative analyses were conducted on theoretical scores,operational assessment results,Critical Thinking Inventory(CTDI-CV)scores,and satisfaction surveys between the two groups.Results:The experimental group demonstrated significantly higher theoretical scores,operational skill assessments,and critical thinking dimension scores compared to the control group(P<0.05),with notable improvements in teaching satisfaction.Conclusion:Integrating the DEU philosophy with workshop teaching models can effectively enhance clinical teaching quality,strengthen nursing students’comprehensive competencies,and boost learning motivation.This approach is recommended for widespread adoption in clinical nursing education.

Results: the experimental group (χ2=11.5236, P=0.0000) had high satisfaction (P < 0.05). The physiological (t=7.5286, P=0.0000), psychological (t=12.5214, P=0.0000) and mental (t=14.5235, P=0.0000) scores of the experimental group were all high (P < 0.05).
