Herein,a reusable and portable surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS)sandpaper was successfully synthesized for the sensitive detection of S-fenvalerate in foods.Commercial sandpapers were decorated with Ag@SiO2@Au nanoarrays via a liquid-liquid interface self-assembly method.The capacity of sandpaper to float directly on the cyclohexane-water interface allows nanoarrays to be formed directly on it,thereby minimizing stacking issues typically associated with nanoarray assemblies and significantly enhancing the sensitivity of S-fenvalerate detection.Moreover,the SERS sandpaper was reusable and portable due to its strong adhesion of the nanoarrays.Under optimized testing conditions,the developed SERS sandpaper method was capable of detecting S-fenvalerate,demonstrating a strong linear response within a concentration range of 10^(–7)–10^(3)μmol/L,with a limit of detection of 1.92×10^(−8)μmol/L.The analysis of spiked food samples containing S-fenvalerate using the developed SERS sandpaper afforded excellent recoveries(92.2%−109.7%).Additionally,the SERS sandpaper was successfully applied to quantify S-fenvalerate in real food samples,with results consistent with analyses conducted using gas chromatography. 展开更多

This paper presents the extension of the global description approach of a discontinuous function, which is proposed in the previous paper, to a spectral domain decomposition method. This multi-domain spectral immersed interlace method(IIM) divides the whole computation domain into the smooth and discontinuous parts. Fewer points on the smooth domains are used via taking advantage of the high accuracy property of the spectral method, but more points on the discontinuous domains are employed to enhance the resolution of the calculation. Two that the domain decomposition technique can placed around the discontinuity. The present reached, in spite of the enlarged computational discontinuous problems are tested to verify the present method. The results show reduce the error of the spectral IIM, especially when more collocation points are method is t:avorable for the reason that the same level of the accuracy can be domain. 展开更多

Geo-interfaces refer to the contact surfaces between multiple media within geological strata,as well as the transition zones that regulate the migration of three-phase matter,changes in physical states,and the deformation and stability of rock and soil masses.Owing to the combined effects of natural factors and human activities,geo-interfaces play crucial roles in the emergence,propagation,and triggering of geological disasters.Over the past three decades,the material point method(MPM)has emerged as a preferred approach for addressing large deformation problems and simulating soil-water-structure interactions,making it an ideal tool for analyzing geo-interface behaviors.In this review,we offer a systematic summary of the basic concepts,classifications,and main characteristics of the geo-interface,and provide a comprehensive overview of recent advances and developments in simulating geo-interface using the MPM.We further present a brief description of various MPMs for modeling different types of geo-interfaces in geotechnical engineering applications and highlight the existing limitations and future research directions.This study aims to facilitate innovative applications of the MPM in modeling complex geo-interface problems,providing a reference for geotechnical practitioners and researchers. 展开更多

The diffuse-interface immersed boundary method(IBM)possesses excellent capabilities for simulating flows around complex geometries and moving boundaries.In this method,the flow field is solved on a fixed Cartesian mesh,while the solid boundary is discretized into a series of Lagrangian points immersed in the flow field.The boundary condition is implemented by introducing a force term into the momentum equation,and the interaction between the immersed boundary and the fluid domain is achieved via an interpolation process.Over the past decades,the diffuse-interface IBM has gained popularity and spawned many variants,effectively handling a wide range of flow problems from isothermal to thermal flows,from laminar to turbulent flows,and from complex geometries to fluidstructure interaction scenarios.This paper first outlines the basic principles of the diffuse-interface IBM,then highlights recent advancements achieved by the authors’research group,and finally shows the method’s excellent numerical performance and wide applicability through several case studies involving complex moving boundary problems. 展开更多

A new simple fictitious domain method, the algebraic immersed interface and boundary (AIIB) method, is presented for elliptic equations with immersed interface conditions. This method allows jump conditions on immersed interfaces to be discretized with a good accuracy on a compact stencil. Auxiliary unknowns are created at existing grid locations to increase the degrees of freedom of the initial problem. These auxiliary unknowns allow imposing various constraints to the system on interfaces of complex shapes. For instance, the method is able to deal with immersed interfaces for elliptic equations with jump conditions on the solution or discontinuous coefficients with a second order of spatial accuracy. As the AIIB method acts on an algebraic level and only changes the problem matrix, no particular attention to the initial discretization is required. The method can be easily implemented in any structured grid code and can deal with immersed boundary problems too. Several validation problems are presented to demonstrate the interest and accuracy of the method. 展开更多

Depression is increasingly prevalent among adolescents and can profoundly impact their lives.However,the early detection of depression is often hindered by the timeconsuming diagnostic process and the absence of objective biomarkers.In this study,we propose a novel approach for depression detection based on an affective brain-computer interface(aBCI)and the resting-state electroencephalogram(EEG).By fusing EEG features associated with both emotional and resting states,our method captures comprehensive depression-related information.The final depression detection model,derived through decision fusion with multiple independent models,further enhances detection efficacy.Our experiments involved 40 adolescents with depression and 40 matched controls.The proposed model achieved an accuracy of 86.54%on cross-validation and 88.20%on the independent test set,demonstrating the efficiency of multi-modal fusion.In addition,further analysis revealed distinct brain activity patterns between the two groups across different modalities.These findings hold promise for new directions in depression detection and intervention. 展开更多

All of the interface integral items participating in forming the potential and complementary energy functionals of the composite materials are expressed in terms of intrinsic quantities of the ellipsoidal of revolutions. Based on this, the upper and the lower bound for the effective elastic moduli of the composite materials with inclusions described above have been derived. For non-homogeneous jump conditions,a pair of functions that satisfy the same non-homogeneous jump conditions are constructed using a level-set representation of the interface.With such a pair of functions,the discontinuities across the interface in the solution and flux are removed;and an equivalent elasticity interface problem with homogeneous jump conditions is formulated.Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate that such methods have second order convergence. 展开更多

The space variable is discretized by a high-order compact (HOC) difference scheme with correction terms added at the irregular points. The time derivative is integrated by a Crank-Nicolson and alternative direction implicit (ADI) scheme. In this case, the time accuracy is just second-order. The Richardson extrapolation method is used to improve the time accuracy to fourth-order. The numerical results confirm the convergence order and the efficiency of the method. 展开更多

The growth interfaces of CdMnTe(CMT) crystals grown by traveling heater method(THM) were studied. Two types of polycrystalline CMT feed ingots synthesized in a traditional rocking furnace and vertical Bridgman(VB) furnace were adopted in THM growth, and the effects of the polycrystalline feed on the growth interface were revealed. The morphology of the growth interface of CMT crystal(CMT2) grown from the feed by vertical Bridgman was smoother with lower curvature compared with that of CMT crystal(CMT1) from the feed by rocking furnace. The radial Mn composition and Te inclusion distribution of the CMT wafers were analyzed and correlated to the growth interface. The Mn segregation along the radial direction and Te inclusion density of CMT2 were lower than those of CMT1. The VB method synthesized polycrystalline feed could improve the growth interface morphology, which is beneficial for decreasing the Te inclusions and Mn segregation in CMT wafers. 展开更多

It is important to quantify the effect of the root diameter, the embedment length of the root and load speed on the soil-root interface mechanical properties for studying the root anchorage. The soilroot interface mechanical properties can be obtained through the pullout force and root slippage curve(F-S curve). About 120 Pinus tabulaeformis single roots whose diameters ranged from 1 mm to 10 mm divided into 6 groups based on different root embedment length(50 mm, 100 mm and 150 mm) and different load velocity(10 mm·min^(-1), 50 mm·min^(-1), 100 mm·min^(-1) and 300 mm·min^(-1)) were investigated using the pullout method. This study aims to explore the mechanical properties of the soil-root interface in the real conditions using the pullout test method. The results showed two kinds of pullout test failure modes during the experimental process: breakage failure and pullout failure. The results showed that the roots were easier to be broken when the root diameter was smaller or the loading speed was larger. The relationship between the maximum anchorage force and root diameter was linear and the linearly dependent coefficient(R^2) was larger than 0.85. The anchorage force increased with the root embedment length. An increase of 10%^(-1)5% for the maximumanchorage force was found when load speed increased from 10 to 300 mm.min^(-1). The mean peak slippage of the root was from 13.81 to 35.79 mm when the load velocity varied from 10 to 300 mm.min^(-1). The study will be helpful for the design of slopes reinforced by vegetation and in predicting risk of uprooting of trees, and will have practical benefits for understanding the mechanism of landslide. 展开更多

The formation mechanism of calcium vanadate and manganese vanadate and the difference between calcium and manganese in the reaction with vanadium are basic issues in the calcification roasting and manganese roasting process with vanadium slag.In this work,CaO–V_(2)O_(5) and MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couples were prepared and roasted for different time periods to illustrate and compare the diffusion reaction mechanisms.Then,the changes in the diffusion product and diffusion coefficient were investigated and calculated based on scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.Results show that with the extension of the roasting time,the diffusion reaction gradually proceeds among the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) and MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couples.The regional boundaries of calcium and vanadium are easily identifiable for the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple.Meanwhile,for the MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple,MnO_(2) gradually decomposes to form Mn_(2)O_(3),and vanadium diffuses into the interior of Mn_(2)O_(3).Only a part of vanadium combines with manganese to form the diffusion production layer.CaV_(2)O_(6) and MnV_(2)O_(6) are the interfacial reaction products of the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) and MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couples,respectively,whose thicknesses are 39.85 and 32.13μm when roasted for 16 h.After 16 h,both diffusion couples reach the reaction equilibrium due to the limitation of diffusion.The diffusion coefficient of the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple is higher than that of the MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple for the same roasting time,and the diffusion reaction between vanadium and calcium is easier than that between vanadium and manganese. 展开更多

The embedded boundary method for solving elliptic and parabolic problems in geometrically complex domains using Cartesian meshes by Johansen and Colella (1998, J. Comput. Phys. 147, 60) has been extended for elliptic and parabolic problems with interior boundaries or interfaces of discontinuities of material properties or solutions. Second order accuracy is achieved in space and time for both stationary and moving interface problems. The method is conservative for elliptic and parabolic problems with fixed interfaces. Based on this method, a front tracking algorithm for the Stefan problem has been developed. The accuracy of the method is measured through comparison with exact solution to a two-dimensional Stefan problem. The algorithm has been used for the study of melting and solidification problems. 展开更多

The effect of an adsorbed anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) on electron transfer (ET) reaction between ferricyanide aqueous solution and decamethylferrocene (DMFc) located on the adjacent organic phase was investigated for the first time by thin layer method. The adsorption of SDBS at the interface resulted in a decay in the cathodic plateau current of bimolecular reaction with increasing concentrations of SDBS in aqueous phase. However, the rate constant of electron transfer (ket) increased monotonically as the SDBS concentrations increased from 0 to 200 p, moFL. The experimental results showed that SDBS formed patches on the interface and influenced the structure of electrical double layer. 2009 Xiao Quan Lu.
