Background Virtual reality(VR)in healthcare training has increased adoption and support,but efforts are still required to mitigate usability concerns.Methods This study conducted a usability study of an in-use emergen...Background Virtual reality(VR)in healthcare training has increased adoption and support,but efforts are still required to mitigate usability concerns.Methods This study conducted a usability study of an in-use emergency medicine VR training application,available on commercially available VR hardware and with a standard interaction design.Nine users without prior VR experience but with relevant medical expertise completed two simulation scenarios for a total of 18 recorded sessions.They completed NASA Task Load Index and System Usability Scale questionnaires after each session,and their performance was recorded for the tracking of user errors.Results and Conclusions Our results showed a medium(and potentially optimal)Workload and an above average System Usability Score.There was significant improvement in several factors between users'first and second sessions,notably increased Performance evaluation.User errors with the strongest correlation to usability were not directly tied to interaction design,however,but to a limited'possibility space'.Suggestions for closing this'gulf of execution'were presented,including'voice control'and'hand-tracking',which are only feasible for this commercial product now with the availability of the Oculus Quest headset.Moreover,wider implications for VR medical training were outlined,and potential next steps towards a standardized design identified.展开更多

In this paper, we integrate the Bauhaus’ idea to construct the new idea of constructing the interaction design and visual reconstruction. Cultural relics visualization brings digital archives of relics to broader audiences in many applications,such as education,historical research,and virtual museums.However,previous research mainly focused on modeling ...Cultural relics visualization brings digital archives of relics to broader audiences in many applications,such as education,historical research,and virtual museums.However,previous research mainly focused on modeling and rendering the relics.While enhancing accessibility,these techniques still provide limited ability to improve user engagement.In this paper,we introduce RelicCARD,a semantics-based augmented reality(AR)tangible interaction design for exploring cultural relics.Our design uses an easily available tangible interface to encourage the users to interact with a large collection of relics.The tangible interface allows users to explore,select,and arrange relics to form customized scenes.To guide the design of the interface,we formalize a design space by connecting the semantics in relics,the tangible interaction patterns,and the exploration tasks.We realize the design space as a tangible interactive prototype and examine its feasibility and effectiveness using multiple case studies and an expert evaluation.Finally,we discuss the findings in the evaluation and future directions to improve the design and implementation of the interactive design space.展开更多

In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interact...In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interaction design mode used is still mainly based on the interaction mode for young groups,and is not designed for elderly users.Therefore,a design method for optimizing the interaction interface of live broadcasting platform for elderly users was proposed in this study.Firstly,the case study method and Delphi expert survey method were used to determine the design needs of elderly users and the design mode was analysed.Secondly,the orthogonal design principle was used to design a test sample of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform applicable for the elderly users,and then a user evaluation system was established to calculate the weights of the design elements using hierarchical analysis,and then the predictive relationship between the design mode of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform and the elderly users was established by Quantitative Theory I.Finally,Genetic Algorithm was applied to generate the optimized design scheme.The results showed that the design method based on the Genetic Algorithm and the combination of Quantitative Theory can scientifically and effectively optimize the design of the interactive interface of the live broadcasting platform for the elderly users,and improve the experience of the elderly users.展开更多
Rational architecture design has turned out to be an effective strategy in improving the electrochemical performance of electrode materials for batteries.However,an elaborate structure that could simultaneously endow ...Rational architecture design has turned out to be an effective strategy in improving the electrochemical performance of electrode materials for batteries.However,an elaborate structure that could simultaneously endow active materials with promoted reaction reversibility,accelerated kinetic and restricted volume change still remains a huge challenge.Herein,a novel chemical interaction motivated structure design strategy has been proposed,and a chemically bonded Co(CO_(3))_(0.5)OH·0.11 H_(2)O@MXene(CoCH@MXene)layered-composite was fabricated for the first time.In such a composite,the chemical interaction between Co^(2+)and MXene drives the growth of smaller-sized CoCH crystals and the subsequent formation of interwoven CoCH wires sandwiched in-between MXene nanosheets.This unique layered structure not only encourages charge transfer for faster reaction dynamics,but buffers the volume change of CoCH during lithiation-delithiation process,owing to the confined crystal growth between conductive MXene layers with the help of chemical bonding.Besides,the sandwiched interwoven CoCH wires also prevent the stacking of MXene layers,further conducive to the electrochemical performance of the composite.As a result,the as-prepared CoCH@MXene anode demonstrates a high reversible capacity(903.1 mAh g^(-1)at 100 mA g^(-1))and excellent cycling stability(maintains 733.6 mAh g^(-1)at1000 mA g^(-1)after 500 cycles)for lithium ion batteries.This work highlights a novel concept of layerby-layer chemical interaction motivated architecture design for futuristic high performance electrode materials in energy storage systems.展开更多

Using a full quantum theory in real space, photonic scattering amplitudes along four ports of the waveguide network are analytically obtained. It is shown that, by adjusting the atomic dipole-dipole interaction, an evident Fano-line shape emerges in the scattering spectra of the single-dot configuration system. Moreover, Fano resonance can also be achieved by varying the atom-waveguide coupling strength and atomic detuning, in the presence of the atomic dipole-dipole interaction. Therefore, the atomic dipole-dipole interaction may be utilized as a possible way to control spectral Fano-like resonance. The feasibility with the experimental waveguide channels is also discussed.展开更多

Electromagnetic simulation and electronic design automation(EDA)play an important role in the design of 5G antennas and radio chips.The simulation challenges include electromagnetic effects and long simulation time an...Electromagnetic simulation and electronic design automation(EDA)play an important role in the design of 5G antennas and radio chips.The simulation challenges include electromagnetic effects and long simulation time and this paper focuses on simulation software based on finite-element method(FEM).The state-of-the-art EDA software using novel computational techniques based on FEM can not only accelerate numerical analysis,but also enable optimization,sensitivity analysis and interactive design tuning based on rigorous electromagnetic model of a device.Several new techniques that help to mitigate the most challenging issues related to FEM based simulation are highlighted.In particular,methods for fast frequency sweep,mesh morphing and surrogate models for efficient optimization and manual design tuning are briefly described,and their efficiency is illustrated on examples involving a 5G multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)antenna and filter.It is demonstrated that these new computational techniques enable significant reduction of time needed for design closure with the acceleration rates as large as tens or even over one hundred.展开更多
In the past decade,the p53-MDM2 protein-protein interaction by small molecules has been confirmed as a successful strategy for cancer therapy.In our previous work,pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazol-6(1H)-ones were found to be po...In the past decade,the p53-MDM2 protein-protein interaction by small molecules has been confirmed as a successful strategy for cancer therapy.In our previous work,pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazol-6(1H)-ones were found to be potent p53-MDM2 inhibitors.Further optimization and structure-activity relationship studies were described in the present work.The result revealed that benzyl group on position N1 of imidazole and bromine on C4-phenyl of pyrrolidone showed higher inhibitory activities.In vitro antiproliferative assay demonstrated the potent p53-MDM2 inhibitor 5c with 4-fold selectivity for U2 OS and Saos-2 cells.These data indicated that 4,5-dihydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazol-6(1H)-one moiety is a valuable scaffold for further development of p53-MDM2 inhibitors.展开更多

The goal of this project is to cooperate with learning paradigms in order to reach the quality that a true society of knowledge needs. 文摘As a city where East meets West,Macao has a rich historical and cultural heritage,and its music culture,based on its historical background,has a long history of development,with colourful and diverse genres.However,as a tourist city,the public’s understanding of Macao is basically confined to the gaming industry.The dissemination of its music is faced with the problems of small scope of dissemination and lack of popularity,etc.Therefore,how to better inherit and protect the music culture of Macao?Therefore,how to better pass on and protect Macao’s local culture has become an issue of wide concern to the Macao society nowadays.With the development of the Internet and the changing needs of the public,interactive design came into being,the interactivity of this design can provide a better user experience and increase the attractiveness of the project.As a popular way of travelling nowadays,city walking can make the public feel the city culture better.This design study will conduct fieldwork research on Macao’s music culture through fieldwork method,literature research method and data collection method,analyse the form of its integration with urban micro-tourism,and finally design it interactively.In this way,the dissemination of Macao’s music culture will be increased and the cultural participation of the public will be strengthened.In addition,the form of city walk can attract tourists of all ages,which is a good guide for the dissemination of Macao’s music culture.Moreover,this design can provide the public with a vivid understanding of Macao’s music culture,enhance Macao’s cultural attractiveness,promote socialisation and interaction in the city,and improve the public’s physical and mental health and quality of life.Therefore,this study aims to provide methodological ideas for the communication strategy of Macao’s music culture and to provide innovative perspectives for the inheritance of Macao’s excellent traditional culture.
文摘In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interaction design mode used is still mainly based on the interaction mode for young groups,and is not designed for elderly users.Therefore,a design method for optimizing the interaction interface of live broadcasting platform for elderly users was proposed in this study.Firstly,the case study method and Delphi expert survey method were used to determine the design needs of elderly users and the design mode was analysed.Secondly,the orthogonal design principle was used to design a test sample of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform applicable for the elderly users,and then a user evaluation system was established to calculate the weights of the design elements using hierarchical analysis,and then the predictive relationship between the design mode of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform and the elderly users was established by Quantitative Theory I.Finally,Genetic Algorithm was applied to generate the optimized design scheme.The results showed that the design method based on the Genetic Algorithm and the combination of Quantitative Theory can scientifically and effectively optimize the design of the interactive interface of the live broadcasting platform for the elderly users,and improve the experience of the elderly users.

文摘Rational architecture design has turned out to be an effective strategy in improving the electrochemical performance of electrode materials for batteries.However,an elaborate structure that could simultaneously endow active materials with promoted reaction reversibility,accelerated kinetic and restricted volume change still remains a huge challenge.Herein,a novel chemical interaction motivated structure design strategy has been proposed,and a chemically bonded Co(CO_(3))_(0.5)OH·0.11 H_(2)O@MXene(CoCH@MXene)layered-composite was fabricated for the first time.In such a composite,the chemical interaction between Co^(2+)and MXene drives the growth of smaller-sized CoCH crystals and the subsequent formation of interwoven CoCH wires sandwiched in-between MXene nanosheets.This unique layered structure not only encourages charge transfer for faster reaction dynamics,but buffers the volume change of CoCH during lithiation-delithiation process,owing to the confined crystal growth between conductive MXene layers with the help of chemical bonding.Besides,the sandwiched interwoven CoCH wires also prevent the stacking of MXene layers,further conducive to the electrochemical performance of the composite.As a result,the as-prepared CoCH@MXene anode demonstrates a high reversible capacity(903.1 mAh g^(-1)at 100 mA g^(-1))and excellent cycling stability(maintains 733.6 mAh g^(-1)at1000 mA g^(-1)after 500 cycles)for lithium ion batteries.This work highlights a novel concept of layerby-layer chemical interaction motivated architecture design for futuristic high performance electrode materials in energy storage systems.

文摘Fano-like quantum routing of single photons in a system with two waveguides coupled to two collocated atoms is investigated theoretically. Using a full quantum theory in real space, photonic scattering amplitudes along four ports of the waveguide network are analytically obtained. It is shown that, by adjusting the atomic dipole-dipole interaction, an evident Fano-line shape emerges in the scattering spectra of the single-dot configuration system. Moreover, Fano resonance can also be achieved by varying the atom-waveguide coupling strength and atomic detuning, in the presence of the atomic dipole-dipole interaction. Therefore, the atomic dipole-dipole interaction may be utilized as a possible way to control spectral Fano-like resonance. The feasibility with the experimental waveguide channels is also discussed.

文摘This study aims to explore the application of digital technology in landscape design,focusing on the research of virtual reality visualization and interactive design in the process of plant configuration.Through an in-depth analysis of digital technology,the study outlines its important role in landscape design,especially in the application of plant configuration.The current application status of virtual reality technology in landscape design is discussed,as well as how interactive design can enhance user experience and participation.Furthermore,the achievements and challenges of digital technology in landscape design are summarized.Finally,it proposes future research directions and suggestions,aiming to provide new ideas and methods for practice and research in the field of landscape design and promote the further application and development of digital technology in landscape design.

文摘Electromagnetic simulation and electronic design automation(EDA)play an important role in the design of 5G antennas and radio chips.The simulation challenges include electromagnetic effects and long simulation time and this paper focuses on simulation software based on finite-element method(FEM).The state-of-the-art EDA software using novel computational techniques based on FEM can not only accelerate numerical analysis,but also enable optimization,sensitivity analysis and interactive design tuning based on rigorous electromagnetic model of a device.Several new techniques that help to mitigate the most challenging issues related to FEM based simulation are highlighted.In particular,methods for fast frequency sweep,mesh morphing and surrogate models for efficient optimization and manual design tuning are briefly described,and their efficiency is illustrated on examples involving a 5G multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)antenna and filter.It is demonstrated that these new computational techniques enable significant reduction of time needed for design closure with the acceleration rates as large as tens or even over one hundred.

文摘In the past decade,the p53-MDM2 protein-protein interaction by small molecules has been confirmed as a successful strategy for cancer therapy.In our previous work,pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazol-6(1H)-ones were found to be potent p53-MDM2 inhibitors.Further optimization and structure-activity relationship studies were described in the present work.The result revealed that benzyl group on position N1 of imidazole and bromine on C4-phenyl of pyrrolidone showed higher inhibitory activities.In vitro antiproliferative assay demonstrated the potent p53-MDM2 inhibitor 5c with 4-fold selectivity for U2 OS and Saos-2 cells.These data indicated that 4,5-dihydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazol-6(1H)-one moiety is a valuable scaffold for further development of p53-MDM2 inhibitors.
文摘Background This paper introduces a versatile edutainment platform based on a swarm robotics system that can support multiple interaction methods.We aim to create a re-usable open-ended tangible tool for a variety of educational and entertainment scenarios by utilizing the unique advantages of swarm robots such as flexible mobility,mutual perception,and free control of robot number.Methods Compared with the tangible user interface,the swarm user interface(SUI)possesses more flexible locomotion and more controllable widgets.However,research on SUI is still limited to system construction,and the upper interaction modes along with vivid applications have not been sufficiently studied.Results This study illustrates possible interaction modes for swarm robotics and feasible application scenarios based on these fundamental interaction modes.We also discuss the implementation of swarm robotics(including software and hardware),then design several simple experiments to verify the location accuracy of the swarm robotics system.

文摘The duty of educators and politicians is to find new policies and programs that should include creative industries such as designing, together with the teaching of new technologies to make it possible for a greater portion of the population to have access to this knowledge, which will enable it to be included in the job market. This type of training also means that the language of the educators will change .We need to develop a new multilinguistic, multimedia, and multidisciplinary conception oriented towards the learning activities of the student. Our goals is to transform multimedia design into an important creative industry in our region, we created "Project Untitled" at Universidad Maimonides. This is an artistic collective undertaking that includes teachers, directors, and students of the School of Multimedia Communication and Design. The goal of this project is to cooperate with learning paradigms in order to reach the quality that a true society of knowledge needs. Education is fundamental for the development of any nation, including the "periphery countries", which can contribute a different point of view, and which, in this sense, can offer wider possibilities, precisely because these countries have the "critical distance" that, probably, core countries are short of.
