Meanwhile, with the soaring use of corporate social performance (CSP), more researchers are focusing on exploring the relationship between institution pressures and CSP which is still not completely understood yet. Against this background, the paper aims to fill the gap through generally hypothesizing that different types of institutional pressures individually and collectively affect CSP via the mediating effect of corporate environmental strategy. First, based on the previous and extensive literature review, the theoretical framework and research hypotheses are constructed. Next, canonical correlation analysis about the panel data of 51 Chinese large-scale power generation enterprises from 2004 to 2009 is made to test the relevant hypotheses. Finally, based on the data analysis results, the study draws some conclusions and policy implications for promoting the CSP of Chinese enterprises, including enhancing the steering function of government policies and industry regulations and emphasizing the intermediary role of media.展开更多

The social organization in the learning of new institutionalism paradigm based on, its legitimacy perspective through the method of empirical research to explore the institutional pressures on the enterprise internal control mechanism of the effect of the reaction strategy. Study found that: enterprises face greater institution pressures, enterprises in the strategic choice tend to obey; enterprise resources and ability in the relationship between the two play regulatory role, including resource market negative to adjust, and institutional resources produced positive moderating effect.展开更多

Our research finds that if willingness to give up their land is used as the indicator for behavioral permanent migration, the main factors that influence migrant workers' intention to migrate will be their individual motives for migration, i.e. choices based on economic rationality. If wishing to transfer their household registration to the cities where they work is used as the indicator for institutional permanent migration, the main factors that influence their intentions will be regional conditions and the pressure of institutional legitimacy, and their choices will be socially rational in that they are seeking institutional protection to improve their life in the city. Groups with different aspirations vary in their individual motivations for migration and the degree to which they feel the pressure of institutional legitimacy.展开更多
