In this paper, we propose an instantaneous phase-stepping method for determining phase distribution of interference fringes utilizing a camera that is equipped with a micro-polarizer array on the sensor plane. An optical setup of polarization interferometry using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with two polarizers is constructed. Light emerging from the interferometer is recorded using a camera that has a micro-polarizer array. This micro-polarizer array has four different optical axes. That is, an image obtained by the camera contains four types of information corresponding to four different optical axes of the polarizer. The four images separated from the image recorded by the camera are reconstructed using gray level interpolation. Subsequently, the distributions of the Stokes parameters that represent the state of polarization are calculated from the four images. The phase distribution of the interference fringe pattern produced by the Mach-Zehnder interferometer is then obtained from these Stokes parameters, The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by measuring a static carrier pattern and time-variant fringe patterns. It is emphasized that this method is applicable to time-variant phenomena because multiple exposures are unnecessary for sufficient data acquisition in the completion of the phase analysis. 展开更多

In practical engineering, many uncertain factors in loading or degradation of material properties may vary with time. Stochastic process modeling constitutes a suitable approach for describing these time-dependent uncertainties. By adopting this approach, however, the timedependent reliability calculation is a great challenge owing to the complexity and the huge computational burden. This paper presents a new instantaneous response surface method t-IRS for time-dependent reliability analysis. Different from the adaptive extreme response surface approach, the proposed method does not need to build and update surrogate models separately at each time node. It first uses the expansion optimal linear estimation method to discretize the stochastic processes into a set of independent standard normal variables together with some deterministic functions of time. Time is then treated as an independent one-dimensional variable. Next, initial samples are generated by Latin hypercube sampling, and the corresponding response values are calculated and utilized to construct an instantaneous response surrogate model of the Kriging type. The active learning method is applied to update the Kriging surrogate model until satisfactory accuracy is achieved. Finally, the instantaneous response surrogate model is used to compute the time-dependent reliability via Monte Carlo simulation. Four case studies are utilized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ^-IRS method for time-dependent reliability analysis. 展开更多

A practical calibration method is proposed for instantaneous polarization radar systems.The method only needs one measurement by using a metal sphere.The distortions of system and the actual polarization scattering matrix(PSM)of target can be obtained.First,an instantaneous polarization radar system is presented.The system can obtain PSM by a single pulse echo.The dual-polarization antenna can transmit and receive two orthogonal polarization waves.The multilayer micro-strip patch antenna is adopted for this kind of radar system.Second,based on the multi-port network theory,the operation and system errors of instantaneous polarization radar system are analyzed.By making assumption on the cross-talk factors of antenna,distortion matrices of R and Tare derived.Finally,the calibration method based on instantaneous polarization measurement is introduced.Simulation results show the performance of this calibration method.The values of calibrated PSM are in agreement with the actual ones after calibration. 展开更多

With the increase of underground engineering construction depth,the phenomenon of surrounding rock sudden failure caused by supporting structure failure occurs frequently.The conventional unloading con-fining pressure(CUCP)test cannot simulate the plastic yielding and instantaneous unloading process of supporting structure to rock.Thus,a high stress loading-instantaneous unloading confining pressure(HSL-IUCP)test method was proposed and applied by considering bolt’s fracture under stress.The wall thickness of confining pressure plates and the material of bolts were changed to realize different confin-ing pressure loading stiffness(CPLS)and lateral maximum allowable deformation(LMAD).The superio-rity of HSL-ICPU method is verified compared with CUCP.The rock failure mechanism caused by sudden failure of supporting structure is obtained.The results show that when CPLS increases from 1.35 to 2.33 GN/m,rock’s peak strength and elastic modulus increase by 25.18%and 23.70%,respectively.The fracture characteristics change from tensile failure to tensile-shear mixed failure.When LMAD decreases from 0.40 to 0.16 mm,rock’s residual strength,peak strain,and residual strain decrease by 91.80%,16.94%,and 21.92%,respectively,and post-peak drop modulus increases by 140.47%.The test results obtained by this method are closer to rock’s real mechanical response characteristics compared with CUCP. 展开更多

The accurate monitor and prediction of fracturing pressure for formation is very important to hydraulic fracturing treatment operation, but whether hydraulic fracturing is successful or not, the fracturing fluid plays a very important role, leak-off coefficient is the most leading parameters of fracturing fluids. Mini-frac test was the most commonly used tools for leak-off coefficient analysis, but it has the shortcoming of time-consuming and costly that can not meet the requirement of the production. The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a simple and convenient leak off coefficient analysis method with more inexpensive and time-saving than former methods. Based on ISIP (instantaneous shut-in pressure) method, a new field method of leak off coefficient field analysis model was presented. According to twice ISIP of the fracturing treatment in field operation, therefore, fluid leak off coefficient and formation characteristic can be studied quickly and reliably. More than 40 wells were fractured using this field method. The results show that average liquid rates of post-fracturing was 20 m3/d which double improvement compared with the past treatment wells. It had an important role for fracturing treatments in low permeability used in field application. reservoirs, the new model for real time analysis and adjust is successful 展开更多

The modal vibration of the rotor is the main cause of excessive vibration of the aeroengine overall structure.To attenuate the vibration of the rotor under different modal shapes from the perspective of energy control,the intrinsic physical relationships between rotor modal shapes and instantaneous vibrational energy flow transmission characteristics is derived from the general equation of motion base on the structural intensity method.A dual-rotor-support-casing coupling model subjected to the rotor unbalanced forces is established by the finite element method in this paper.The transmission,conversion and balance relationships of the vibrational energy flow for the rotors in the first-order bending modal shape,the conical whirling modal shape and the translational modal shape are analyzed,respectively.The results show that the vibrational energy flow transmitted to the structure can be converted into the strain energy,the kinetic energy and the energy dissipated by the damping of the structure.The vibrational energy flow transmission characteristics of rotors with different modal shapes are quite different.Especially for the first-order bending modal shape,the vibrational energy flow and the strain energy are transmitted and converted to each other in the middle part of the rotor shaft,resulting in large deformation at this part.To attenuate this harmful vibration,the influences of grooving on the shaft on the first-order bending vibration are studied from the perspective of transmission control of vibrational energy flow.This study can provide theoretical references and guidance for the vibration attenuation of the rotors in different modal shapes from a more essential perspective. 展开更多

The mixing characteristics of particles such as dredged sediment of variable size discharged into cross flow are studied by a 3D numerical modal, which is developed to model the particle-fluid two-phase flow. The Eulerian method with the modified k- ε parameterization of turbulence for the fluid phase is used to solve fluid phase, while a Lagrangian method for the sohd phase (particles), both the processes are coupled through the momentmn sources. In the model the wake turbulence induced by particles has been included as additional source term in the k - ε model; and the variable drift velocities of the particles are treated efficiently by the Lagrangian method in which the particles are tracked explicitly and the diffusion process is approximated by a random walk model. The hydrodynamic behavior of dumping a cloud of particles is governed by the total buoyancy of the cloud, the drag force on each particle and the velocity of cross-flow. The computed results show a roughly linear relationship between the displacement of the frontal position and the longitudi- nal width of the particle cloud. The particle size in the cloud and the velocity of cross flow dominate the flow behavior. The computed results are compared with the results of laboratory experiments and satisfactory agreement is obtained. 展开更多

Based on the uniaxial compression creep experiments conducted on bauxite sandstone obtained from Sanmenxia,typical creep experiment curves were obtained.From the characteristics of strain component of creep curves,the creep strain is composed of instantaneous elastic strain,ε(me),instantaneous plastic strain,ε(mp),viscoelastic strain,ε(ce),and viscoplastic strain,ε(cp).Based on the characteristics of instantaneous plastic strain,a new element of instantaneous plastic rheology was introduced,instantaneous plastic modulus was defined,and the modified Burgers model was established.Then identification of direct screening method in this model was completed.According to the mechanical properties of rheological elements,one- and three-dimensional creep equations in different stress levels were obtained.One-dimensional model parameters were identified by the method of least squares,and in the process of computation,Gauss-Newton iteration method was applied.Finally,by fitting the experimental curves,the correctness of direct method model was verified,then the examination of posterior exclusive method of the model was accomplished.The results showed that in the improved Burgers models,the rheological characteristics of sandstone are embodied properly,microscopic analysis of creep curves is also achieved,and the correctness of comprehensive identification method of rheological model is verified. 展开更多

Multibody system dynamics provides a strong tool for the estimation of dynamic performances and the optimization of multisystem robot design. It can be described with differential algebraic equations(DAEs). In this paper, a particle swarm optimization(PSO) method is introduced to solve and control a symplectic multibody system for the first time. It is first combined with the symplectic method to solve problems in uncontrolled and controlled robotic arm systems. It is shown that the results conserve the energy and keep the constraints of the chaotic motion, which demonstrates the efficiency, accuracy, and time-saving ability of the method. To make the system move along the pre-planned path, which is a functional extremum problem, a double-PSO-based instantaneous optimal control is introduced. Examples are performed to test the effectiveness of the double-PSO-based instantaneous optimal control. The results show that the method has high accuracy, a fast convergence speed, and a wide range of applications.All the above verify the immense potential applications of the PSO method in multibody system dynamics. 展开更多

The current type synthesis of the redundant actuated parallel mechanisms is adding active-actuated kinematic branches on the basis of the traditional parallel mechanisms,or using screw theory to perform multiple getting intersection and union to complete type synthesis.The number of redundant parallel mechanisms obtained by these two methods is limited.In this paper,based on Grassmann line geometry and Atlas method,a novel and effective method for type synthesis of redundant actuated parallel mechanisms(PMs)with closed-loop units is proposed.Firstly,the degree of freedom(DOF)and constraint line graph of the moving platform are determined successively,and redundant lines are added in constraint line graph to obtain the redundant constraint line graph and their equivalent line graph,and a branch constraint allocation scheme is formulated based on the allocation criteria.Secondly,a scheme is selected and redundant lines are added in the branch chains DOF graph to construct the redundant actuated branch chains with closed-loop units.Finally,the branch chains that meet the requirements of branch chains configuration criteria and F&C(degree of freedom&constraint)line graph are assembled.In this paper,two types of 2 rotational and 1 translational(2R1T)redundant actuated parallel mechanisms and one type of 2 translational and 1 rotational(2T1R)redundant actuated parallel mechanisms with few branches and closed-loop units were taken as examples,and 238,92 and 15 new configurations were synthesized.All the mechanisms contain closed-loop units,and the mechanisms and the actuators both have good symmetry.Therefore,all the mechanisms have excellent comprehensive performance,in which the two rotational DOFs of the moving platform of 2R1T redundant actuated parallel mechanism can be independently controlled.The instantaneous analysis shows that all mechanisms are not instantaneous,which proves the feasibility and practicability of the method. 展开更多

Voltage sag is one of the most common power quality disturbances in industry,which causes huge inrush currents in stator windings of induction motors,and adversely impacts the motor secure operation.This paper firstly introduces a 2D Time-Stepping multi-slice finite element method(2D T-S multi-slice FEM)which is used for calculating the magnetic field distribution in induction motors under different sag events.Then the paper deduces the transient analytical expression of stator inrush current based on the classical theory of AC motors and presents a separation method for the positive,negative and zero sequence values based on instantaneous currents.With this method,the paper studies the influences of voltage sag amplitude,phase-angle jump and initial phase angle on the stator positive-and negative-sequence peak currents of 5.5 kW and 55 kW induction motors.This paper further proposes a motor protection method under voltage sag condition with the stator negative-sequence peak currents as the protection threshold,so that the protection false trip can be avoided effectively.Finally,the calculation and analysis results are validated by the comparison of calculated and measured stator peak value of the 5.5 kW induction motor. 展开更多

Grating-based x-ray phase contrast imaging has the potential to be applied in future medical applications as it is compatible with both laboratory and synchrotron source. However, information retrieval methods are important because acquisition speed, scanning mode, image quality, and radiation dose depend on them. Phase-stepping (PS) is a widely used method to retrieve information, while angular signal radiography (ASR) is a newly established method. In this manuscript, signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of ASR are compared with that of PS. Numerical experiments are performed to validate theoretical results. SNRs comparison shows that for refraction and scattering images ASR has higher SNR than PS method, while for absorption image both methods have same SNR. Therefore, our conclusions would have guideline in future preclinical and clinical applications. 展开更多

石窟多开凿于山间、崖壁等地质条件复杂的区域,易被地震破坏。厘清石窟崖体的动力响应特征,进行针对性的抗震、减震加固,可以有效减轻地震对石窟的破坏。为揭示麦积山石窟崖体的地形效应,基于微震监测数据,通过传统的傅里叶谱比法、H/V... 石窟多开凿于山间、崖壁等地质条件复杂的区域,易被地震破坏。厘清石窟崖体的动力响应特征,进行针对性的抗震、减震加固,可以有效减轻地震对石窟的破坏。为揭示麦积山石窟崖体的地形效应,基于微震监测数据,通过传统的傅里叶谱比法、H/V谱比法和瞬时极化偏振法(HVIP),研究石窟崖体场地动力响应特征与石窟崖体地形效应的方向性。结果表明:麦积山石窟场地放大系数、传统傅里叶谱比法比值和H/V值均随着高程的增加而增大;加速度峰值放大系数为NS向最大,EW向次之,UD向最小;石窟崖体的卓越频率在1~5 Hz之间;石窟崖体存在着明显的方向性共振现象,地震波在震源方向上表现为放大效应,在山体走向上表现为衰减效应。在石窟崖体场地中,传统傅里叶谱比法能较好地反映卓越频率,H/V值能客观准确地表现出石窟崖体的地层结构。该研究可为依托场地地震响应开展石窟抗震和减震工作提供参考。 展开更多

在实时混合模拟试验过程中,目前任何补偿方法都无法完全消除作动器动力特性的影响,因此瞬时时滞、瞬时幅值误差等瞬时控制参数对评价实时混合模拟试验的准确性具有重要的作用。目前实时混合模拟瞬时控制参数计算方法基于Hilbert变换初... 在实时混合模拟试验过程中,目前任何补偿方法都无法完全消除作动器动力特性的影响,因此瞬时时滞、瞬时幅值误差等瞬时控制参数对评价实时混合模拟试验的准确性具有重要的作用。目前实时混合模拟瞬时控制参数计算方法基于Hilbert变换初步实现瞬时幅值和瞬时时滞的计算,但是该方法在计算瞬时频率时,其计算得到的负频率物理意义不明确,影响了该方法的推广和应用。提出了一种基于直接正交方法的计算方法,首先利用经验模态分解构造本征模态函数,然后对本征模态函数采用经验AM-FM分解构造正交函数,计算瞬时频率和瞬时控制参数,从而避免了Hilbert变换导致的负频率问题。在实时位移追踪试验中应用该方法计算了瞬时控制参数,比较结果表明,与传统方法相比该方法可以显著提高瞬时频率与时滞的有效性,可为实时混合模拟试验评价和补偿提供依据。 展开更多

为提高水闸水下结构病害探地雷达数据解释的准确性,建立了包括闸室底板裂缝、空洞及消能防冲设施淤积、冲蚀等病害模型,基于时域有限差分方法进行正演模拟,利用希尔伯特变换对正演模拟结果进行瞬时属性分析,并通过工程实例测试进行现场... 为提高水闸水下结构病害探地雷达数据解释的准确性,建立了包括闸室底板裂缝、空洞及消能防冲设施淤积、冲蚀等病害模型,基于时域有限差分方法进行正演模拟,利用希尔伯特变换对正演模拟结果进行瞬时属性分析,并通过工程实例测试进行现场验证。研究结果表明,消能防冲设施淤积、冲蚀等病害雷达波外部边界与实际冲蚀或淤积边界相似;闸板底部空洞导致振幅显著增强,尤其是空洞区域顶部,电磁波在空洞内部震荡形成多次波,且当空洞填充介质为水时,顶-底反射波发生明显分离;结构裂缝表现为同相轴中断和强烈的反射波形,但多条裂缝之间会互相干扰导致难以判断裂缝走向;探地雷达的瞬时属性能够揭示更精细的结构变化和特征,时域波场特征和瞬时属性特征相结合可以提高对复杂病害情况的识别和解释能力,实例证明水闸病害位置和类型与推测结果基本一致,进一步证明了波场特征与瞬时属性分析对提高水闸水下结构病害探地雷达数据解释的有效性。 展开更多

斜齿轮泵的瞬时流量和排量特性与其振动噪声、效率评估等性能参数息息相关,因此对这些特性的精确、高效计算显得尤为重要,但目前对瞬时流量和排量的研究大多集中于直齿轮泵,针对斜齿轮泵的研究较少。为此,基于齿轮啮合原理、渐开线齿廓... 斜齿轮泵的瞬时流量和排量特性与其振动噪声、效率评估等性能参数息息相关,因此对这些特性的精确、高效计算显得尤为重要,但目前对瞬时流量和排量的研究大多集中于直齿轮泵,针对斜齿轮泵的研究较少。为此,基于齿轮啮合原理、渐开线齿廓性质及瞬时啮合点与转角的关系,以标准渐开线外啮合斜齿轮泵为研究对象,推导出一种精确计算其瞬时流量和排量的公式。在理论研究的基础上,借助MATLAB软件研究斜齿轮泵的瞬时流量特性,并对3款KF型斜齿轮泵的结构参数进行仿真验证。最后,搭建现场实验测试平台,将理论计算结果与实际排量进行对比。结果表明:所提方法计算结果与实际排量误差最大不超过3%,与公称排量的误差不超过2%,且与传统计算结果相比更接近实际排量,该计算方法具有一定的普适性。 展开更多
