To meet the demand for intelligent and unmanned development in thermal power plants,an intelligent inspection system has been designed.This system efficiently performs inspection tasks and monitors the operational parameters of key equipment in real-time.The collected data is uploaded to the monitoring center,allowing operation and maintenance personnel to access equipment information promptly.Data analysis is used to provide fault warning and diagnosis for critical equipment.The system employs the Pure Pursuit algorithm,which effectively avoids obstacles and ensures path continuity and stability.Simulation results show that the Pure Pursuit algorithm significantly improves the navigation accuracy and task efficiency of the inspection robot,ensuring the reliability of thermal power plant inspections. 展开更多

A manual inspection of large-diameter tubular joints is difficult. As a result a scanner with three degrees of freedom ( DOFs) was developed based on the scanning principle of ultrasonic phased array. The weld tracing is realized by a 2DOF motion of scanner. The pose of ultrasonic probe is controlled by the third one. The control strategy is put forward based on a programmable multi-axis controller. Four kinds of scanning modes can be implemented simultaneously employing this ultrasonic inspection system. Experiments on reference blocks of tubular joints reveal that the automatic ultrasonic phased array inspection system has the same inspection accuracy as a manual ultrasonic inspection. This system is superior to the manual ultrasonic system in terms of reliability and repeatability. The artificial dejects of weld at tubular joint can be detected accurately with the presented inspection system. 展开更多

Recently,availability evaluation of periodical inspection systems with different structures is at the center of attention due to the wide application in engineering. In this paper, an analytical and probabilistic availability model for periodical inspection system is proposed by a new recursively algorithm,which can achieve limiting average availability and instantaneous availability of periodical inspection system under arbitrary lifetime and repair-time distributions. Then three application examples are presented, the systems lifetime and repair-time are respectively fellow exponential/exponential,Weibull/normal and Weibull/lognormal distribution. Finally, a Weibull/lognormal system is studied to analyze the dynamic relationship between inspection period and availability. The results indicate that the proposed approach can provide the technology support for improving system availability and determining reasonable inspection period. 展开更多

Multiple CCD area scancameras were equipped to capture images of strip surface simultaneously. Defects were detectedthrough 'Dark-field illumination' which is generated by LED illuminators. Parallel computationtechnique and fast processing algorithms were developed for real-time data processing. We demonstrate that the strip surface defect properties such as image, type, pitch, and position can be accurately calculated and classified by the automatic surface inspection system. In order to overcome the limitations of manual post-weld visual inspection approach, an automated inspection system is developed which uses three-dimensioual laser vision system based on the principle of optical triangulation. The system hardware consists of a modular development kit (MDK), a computer, an actuating mechanism and so on. In image processing algorithms, extraction accuracy of centric line of laser stripe is the critical factor that determines the system performance. So according to the features of laser stripe image, a novel algorithm is developed to detect the central line of laser stripe fast and accurately. Experiments have demonstrated that this system can be used in various weld features inspection of both butt and fillet types of weld. Compared with traditional manual inspection method, this method has obvious dominance. The three-dimensional reconstruction result shows that this system has high accuracy and reliability. 展开更多

In manufacture of precise optical products, it is important to inspect and classify the potential defects existing on the products’ surfaces after precise machining in order to obtain high quality in both functionality and aesthetics. The existing methods for detecting and classifying defects all are low accuracy or efficiency or high cost in inspection process. In this paper, a new inspection system based on machine vision has been introduced, which uses automatic focusing and image mosaic technologies to rapidly acquire distinct surface image, and employs Case-Based Reasoning(CBR)method in defects classification. A modificatory fuzzy similarity algorithm in CBR has been adopted for more quick and robust need of pattern recognition in practice inspection. Experiments show that the system can inspect surface diameter of 500mm in half an hour with resolving power of 0.8μm diameter according to digs or 0.5μm transverse width according to scratches. The proposed inspection principles and methods not only have meet manufacturing requirements of precise optical products, but also have great potential applications in other fields of precise surface inspection. 展开更多

In the industrial fields, many high temperature structures that require a non-destructive inspection exist. However, there are currently few sensors that can carry out non-destructive testing in a high temperature environment. In particular, the ultrasonic sensor is normally not used at over 50 degrees Celsius. Also, a special sensor for high temperature is currently available, but there are various constraints;it has not yet reached a level that is useful in industry. Therefore, we have been developing a new sensor system using a long waveguide which can transmit an ultrasonic wave from a long distance. Especially, this study focuses on applying the developed technique to a pipe which is used in a nuclear power plant. Therefore, the best rectangular-shaped waveguide was studied and attempted to be wound around a pipe to be driven by an acoustic source of a guide wave. Finally, the L (0, 2) and T (0, 1)-mode guide waves were successfully detected by optimizing the shape of the opposite edge of the rectangular-shaped waveguide that could detect the reflected signal from an artificial defect machined into a test pipe. 展开更多

The Taipei MRT (Metropolitan Rapid Transit) system has been operated since 1996. Facing the challenge of safety and sustainability of MRT, it is urgent to develop a structural inspection strategy and maintenance system based on the concept of life cycle management. In the mean while, BIM (Building Information Modeling) has become an emerging technology in the architecture and construction industries. BIM utilizes the 3D (3 Dimensions) CAD objects to simulate the real word building elements and with the ability to maintain life cycle information for a building. BIM is an ideal tool and platform for developing an inspection and maintenance system. The goal of this research is to establish a MRT structural inspection system concept based on BIM and life cycle management. In this study, a BIM model of shield tunnel was established to demonstrate the integration of 3D CAD with inspection records. A MRT structural maintenance database, which includes structural deterioration types, inspection records, and repair methods, was designed to interact with the BIM. An inspection prototype system was designed and implemented to perform the MRT structural inspection. The proposed system was designed with mobile-side and server-side systems. The mobile-side system was designed to perform on mobile devices such as tablet computer or smart phones with the ability to mark defects on BIM, as well as to fill in inspection sheets and photos; the server-side system can assign inspection tasks, maintains all inspection records, automatically output inspection reports, and analyze the database to prioritize all maintenance tasks. 展开更多

A New Guide Wave Inspection System Using Three Polarized Transverse Wave EMATs without Any Couplant

A guide wave is provided with the characteristic of long range propagation in the axis direction of a pipe, so it is possible to detect many defects over a large pipe area at once. At present, there is a technique to generate a guide wave using a piezoelectric element (PZT). However, the transverse wave-transducer using PZT needs to require a high viscosity couplant because the transverse wave cannot travel into typical liquid like water or oil. A guide wave inspection system that uses an electromagnetic ultrasonic transducer (EMAT) which does not require any couplant has then been developed to solve this trouble. First, a guide wave into a pipe, L, T and F-mode, can be transmitted and received by a polarized shear horizontal transverse wave propagating to the thickness direction when the vibration direction has been adjusted to the best direction. At next stage, the three EMATs for L, T and F-mode with different polarized vibration directions were piled up to improve the performance at the same position under the permanent magnet to inspect the pipe at the same condition. Next, the system with the EMATs can be confirmed to be able to detect three guide wave modes signal with enough intensity. Finally, the detection performance using the test pipes with any artificial defects has been done by the developed pipe inspection system, and any drilled holes and any notches can be detected. The main cable is the primary load-bearing component of a suspension bridge,continuously exposed to harsh environmental conditions,such as wind and rain,throughout the year.These adverse conditions contribute to varying degrees of degradation and damage to the main cable,necessitating regular inspections to prevent catastrophic failures.Traditional manual inspection methods not only suffer from low efficiency but also pose significant safety risks to personnel.To address these challenges and ensure the safe and effective inspection of suspension bridge main cables,this study introduces a novel cooperative climbing robot,designated as Main Cable Robot Version II(CCRobot-M-II),inspired by the locomotion of the inchworm.The robot employs an alternating opening and closing mechanism of four gripper sets,mimicking the inchworm's movement to achieve efficient crawling along the suspension bridge handrails.This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the structural design,key components,and motion mechanisms of CCRobot-M-II.A detailed force analysis of the robot's crawling process is also presented,followed by the design of the control system and the development of an efficient motion control algorithm.Laboratory experiments demonstrate that the robot achieves a positional error of 00.64%during crawling,with a maximum average crawling speed of 7.6 m/min.Furthermore,the biomimetic design enables the robot to overcome obstacles up to 30 mm in height and possess the capability to handle suspension bridge cables with spans ranging from 740 to 1100 mm.Finally,CCRobot-M-II successfully conducted an inspection of the main cable on a suspension bridge,marking the world's first successful deployment of a climbing robot for main cable inspection on a suspension bridge. 展开更多

The spatial offset of bridge has a significant impact on the safety,comfort,and durability of high-speed railway(HSR)operations,so it is crucial to rapidly and effectively detect the spatial offset of operational HSR bridges.Drive-by monitoring of bridge uneven settlement demonstrates significant potential due to its practicality,cost-effectiveness,and efficiency.However,existing drive-by methods for detecting bridge offset have limitations such as reliance on a single data source,low detection accuracy,and the inability to identify lateral deformations of bridges.This paper proposes a novel drive-by inspection method for spatial offset of HSR bridge based on multi-source data fusion of comprehensive inspection train.Firstly,dung beetle optimizer-variational mode decomposition was employed to achieve adaptive decomposition of non-stationary dynamic signals,and explore the hidden temporal relationships in the data.Subsequently,a long short-term memory neural network was developed to achieve feature fusion of multi-source signal and accurate prediction of spatial settlement of HSR bridge.A dataset of track irregularities and CRH380A high-speed train responses was generated using a 3D train-track-bridge interaction model,and the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed hybrid deep learning model were numerically validated.Finally,the reliability of the proposed drive-by inspection method was further validated by analyzing the actual measurement data obtained from comprehensive inspection train.The research findings indicate that the proposed approach enables rapid and accurate detection of spatial offset in HSR bridge,ensuring the long-term operational safety of HSR bridges. 展开更多

Purpose-Amidst an increasingly severe cybersecurity landscape,the widespread adoption of Xinchuang endpoints has become a strategic imperative.Governments and enterprises have established terminal localization as a critical objective,aiming for comprehensive indigenous replacement through rapid technological iteration.Consequently,Xinchuang systems and Windows platforms are expected to coexist over an extended period.This study seeks to establish an automated verification framework for multi-version operating systems and validate the efficacy of baseline hardening in mitigating security risks.Design/methodology/approach-Based on the Classified Protection 2.0 framework and relevant national standards for endpoint security,this study proposes an endpoint security baseline verification scheme applicable to multiple operating systems.The scheme addresses divergent security policies and implementation methodologies across heterogeneous environments.It automates the inspection of core baselines,including account password complexity,default shared service status and patch installation status.Furthermore,a comprehensive scoring model is established by incorporating differentiated weights for account security,patch management and log auditing,ultimately generating visualized risk reports to facilitate remediation prioritization.Findings-This study reveals that baseline configuration serves as the fundamental prerequisite in endpoint security practices.Through a scalable detection engine and quantitative scoring model,the system can promptly identify and remediate potential risks,thereby reducing the attack surface and mitigating intrusion risks.However,on certain domestic chip architectures,compatibility issues persist in detecting specific configuration items.Further improvement in hardware-software co-adaptation for domestic platforms is required to advance the development of localized security protection systems.Originality/value-Through in-depth research on security baseline configurations across multiple operating systems,this study implements an automated and visualized baseline verification methodology.This approach significantly strengthens the security posture of domestic operating systems and supports the establishment of a more robust,national-level cybersecurity defense framework. 展开更多

The entire system includes two parts : The hardware and the software. The hardware is an image acquiring device under a standard lighting condition, and it mainly includes a xenon lamp with color temperature of 5 500 K as light source, an integrating sphere used for diffusing light and a high resolution CCD camera. The software is used for digital image processing, and the procedure is divided into three steps. Firstly the skin/non-skin classifi- cation is performed by utilizing the threshold in chrominance channels of the RGB color space. Secondly, the fa- cial features are localized by using the image segmentation and coordinates sorting. Finally, the facial special re- gion(SR) corresponding to five internal organs is achieved by utilizing masks designed to take advantage of mor- phology. Subsequently, the chromaticity is calculated. The system is tested by taking 83 samples of 30 young and 53 elderly people. The experiment shows that there is significant difference of all SRs between the young and the elderly, and the system has better performance for objectifying research of CITCM. 展开更多

The traditional components of an expert system, such us knowledge base, inference engine and user interface are reconstructed and integrated, based on the Microsoft Foundation Class (MFC) library. The expected cost per unit of time for a sequential inspection policy is derived. It still has some difficulties to compute an optimal sequential policy numerically, which minimizes the expected cost of a system with finite number of inspections. This paper gives the algorithm for an optimal inspection schedule and specifies the computing procedure for a Weibull distribution. Using this algorithm, optimal inspection times are computed as a numerical result. Compared with the periodic point inspection, the policies in this paper reduce the cost successfully. 展开更多
