Single-atom nanozymes(SAzymes)exhibit exceptional catalytic efficiency due to their maximized atom utilization and precisely modulated metalcarrier interactions,which have attracted significant attention in the biomed...Single-atom nanozymes(SAzymes)exhibit exceptional catalytic efficiency due to their maximized atom utilization and precisely modulated metalcarrier interactions,which have attracted significant attention in the biomedical field.However,stability issues may impede the clinical translation of SAzymes.This review provides a comprehensive overview of the applications of SAzymes in various biomedical fields,including disease diagnosis(e.g.,biosensors and diagnostic imaging),antitumor therapy(e.g.,photothermal therapy,photodynamic therapy,sonodynamic therapy,and immunotherapy),antimicrobial therapy,and anti-oxidative stress therapy.More importantly,the existing challenges of SAzymes are discussed,such as metal atom clustering and active site loss,ligand bond breakage at high temperature,insufficient environment tolerance,biosecurity risks,and limited catalytic long-term stability.Finally,several innovative strategies to address these stability concerns are proposed—synthesis process optimization(space-limited strategy,coordination site design,bimetallic synergistic strategy,defect engineering strategy,atom stripping-capture),surface modification,and dynamic responsive design—that collectively pave the way for robust,clinically viable SAzymes.展开更多

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has garnered increasing attention globally,with its modernization becoming a prominent research focus both within China and internationally.However,the lack of a precise definition for...Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has garnered increasing attention globally,with its modernization becoming a prominent research focus both within China and internationally.However,the lack of a precise definition for TCM modernization has hindered clear guidance for its development.Additionally,cancer remains a significant global public health challenge,largely untreatable with current methods.Therefore,a comprehensive understanding of TCM modernization is crucial for its evolution,revolution,drug discovery,and cancer therapy.This study provides an overview of the history,theory,characteristics,and evolution of TCM,highlighting its potential in cancer prevention and treatment.We propose a definition for TCM modernization,innovative Chinese medicine(ICM),and elucidate strategies to elevate TCM from a supporting role to a leading one.Electronic databases such as PubMed,Web of Science,ScienceDirect,and Clinical Trials were utilized to retrieve relevant literature spanning from 1979 to 2024,with most publications being from the last five years,using keywords like“Traditional Chinese medicine”,“Cancer”,“Mechanism”,and“Clinical trial”.In this study,we introduce the theory of TCM modernization following target identification and initial compound screening:ICM,defined by“3 D”elements:definite active ingredient composition and content,determined functional mechanism,and detection through evidence-based medicine.Overall,the“3 D”definition of ICM will establish a standard for ICM,accelerate TCM modernization,enhance drug discovery targeting cancer and various human diseases,and benefit patients worldwide.展开更多

Employees’innovative performance determines an organization’s innovation,which critically impacts its structural optimization and sustainability.Applying expectancy theory,we examined how and when the Pygmalion effe...Employees’innovative performance determines an organization’s innovation,which critically impacts its structural optimization and sustainability.Applying expectancy theory,we examined how and when the Pygmalion effect occurs in the relationship between leaders’expectations of innovation and employee innovative behavior.Our sample comprised 201 frontline employees(female=31.84%;mean age=41.48 years,SD=7.97 years)in a Chinese coal enterprise,who completed surveys on innovation expectations of leaders,expected positive performance outcomes,innovative self-efficacy and innovative behavior.The results revealed that employees’expected positive performance outcomes mediated the positive relationship between leaders’innovation expectations and their innovative behavior.Employees’innovative self-efficacy positively moderated the relationship between their expected positive performance outcomes and innovative behavior,with this relationship being stronger for employees with high innovative self-efficacy.Moreover,we validated the moderated mediation model.Findings suggest that leaders can stimulate employee innovative behavior through expressing expectations and they also need to consider the boundary conditions.展开更多
With the rapid growth of the global population and the increasing demand for healthier diets,improving the nutrient utilization efficiency of staple food crops has become a critical scientific and industrial chal-leng...With the rapid growth of the global population and the increasing demand for healthier diets,improving the nutrient utilization efficiency of staple food crops has become a critical scientific and industrial chal-lenge,prompting innovation in food processing technologies.This review introduces first the common nutritional challenges in the processing of staple food crops,followed by the comprehensive examination of research aiming to enhance the nutritional quality of staple food crop-based foods through innovative processing technologies,including microwave(MW),pulsed electric field(PEF),ultrasound,modern fer-mentation technology,and enzyme technology.Additionally,soybean processing is used as an example to underscore the importance of integrating innovative processing technologies for optimizing nutrient utilization in staple food crops.Although these innovative processing technologies have demonstrated a significant potential to improve nutrient utilization efficiency and enhance the overall nutritional pro-file of staple food crop-based food products,their current limitations must be acknowledged and addressed in future research.Fortunately,advancements in science and technology will facilitate pro-gress in food processing,enabling both the improvement of existing techniques as well as the develop-ment of entirely novel methodologies.This work aims to enhance the understanding of food practitioners on the way processing technologies may optimize nutrient utilization,thereby fostering innovation in food processing research and synergistic multi-technological strategies,ultimately providing valuable references to address global food security challenges.展开更多
Digital-intelligent technologies represent the advanced direction of new quality productive forces and are becoming a driving force for the digital transformation and high-quality development of the cultural industry....Digital-intelligent technologies represent the advanced direction of new quality productive forces and are becoming a driving force for the digital transformation and high-quality development of the cultural industry.Empowered by new quality productive forces,the digital cultural industry has demonstrated diverse characteristics,including the innovation of cultural production subjects,the intelligentization of production tools,the digitization of production objects,the systematization of production methods,and the diversification of production factors.Leveraging technologies such as AIGC,virtual-physical integration,and DAOs based on Web 3.0,the digital cultural industry has established an innovative paradigm,fostering a new method of AIGC production in the digital cultural industry,a new business format of virtual-physical integration,and a new collaborative ecosystem characterized by co-creation,co-building,and co-governance.Meanwhile,the innovative paradigm of the digital cultural industry also faces a series of new challenges,such as the adaptability issues with AIGC algorithm models,creative bottlenecks,and content quality control problems.Additionally,there are obstacles like the immaturity of international development channels for new business formats,the lack of cultural connotations in creative products,and the lag of the digital-intelligent governance of the industry ecosystem behind digital practices.In light of this,there is an urgent need to establish an optimization mechanism for the high-quality development of digital cultural industries driven by new quality productive forces.This includes optimizing the content production mechanism for AIGC-led high-quality innovation in the digital cultural industry;improving the leapfrog development mechanism for new digital cultural business formats through global-regional collaboration;and enhancing the accurate,high-quality governance mechanism for the digital cultural industry that is aligned with the goals of Chinese modernization.展开更多
Background:Since the launch of drug regulatory reform in 2015,China has substantially increased the availability of new cancer therapies.However,the efficacy evidence criteria for modified new anticancer drugs have no...Background:Since the launch of drug regulatory reform in 2015,China has substantially increased the availability of new cancer therapies.However,the efficacy evidence criteria for modified new anticancer drugs have not been evaluated.This cross-sectional study aimed to assess the pivotal trials supporting the indication approvals of innovative and modified new chemical anticancer drugs in China.Methods:The characteristics of indications,regulatory aspects,and pivotal trial designs were extracted and described.The primary efficacy endpoints of the pivotal clinical trials,including overall survival(OS)and progression-free survival(PFS),were quantitatively assessed by meta-analysis.Results:Between 2016 and 2022,77 cancer therapeutics for 107 indications were approved in China based on 128 pivotal trials.Among the 107 indications,64(59.8%)were classified as innovative anticancer drugs,and 43(40.2%)as modified new anticancer drugs.The study found that pivotal trials for innovative approvals tended to be single-arm trials,while modified approvals were more likely to employ randomized clinical trials with larger sample sizes and rigorous designs.Despite innovative drugs often receiving more expedited regulatory designations,there were no statistically significant differences in clinical benefit of OS or PFS outcomes between innovative and modified approvals.Conclusions:These results suggest that the current regulatory framework may prioritize the speed of approval for innovative drugs over the strength of supporting evidence.These findings align with the strategic trends of pharmaceutical companies and regulatory inclinations that aim to expedite the approval of innovative anticancer drugs with a high unmet need,thereby accelerating patients’accessibility to treatment.展开更多

To better clarify the impact of the integration of education,science and technology,and talent on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in universities,this study adopts the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative...To better clarify the impact of the integration of education,science and technology,and talent on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in universities,this study adopts the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis(fsQCA)method.Using 23 universities in China as the research sample,the findings reveal that:(1)none of the three individual factors,education,science and technology,or talent can independently constitute either a necessary or sufficient condition for high-quality cultivation of top-notch innovative talents;(2)the sufficient condition for achieving high-quality cultivation lies in specific configurations of multiple condition variables;(3)five configurations were identified,from which three distinct paths toward achieving high-quality cultivation were derived.Accordingly,different universities can,based on their own resource endowments and local contexts,select appropriate cultivation paths to effectively enhance the quality of top-notch innovative talent training.展开更多
Indoor air quality(IAQ)is often overlooked,yet a poorly maintained environment can lead to significant health issues and reduced concentration and productivity in work or educational settings.This study presents an in...Indoor air quality(IAQ)is often overlooked,yet a poorly maintained environment can lead to significant health issues and reduced concentration and productivity in work or educational settings.This study presents an innovative control system for mechanical ventilation specifically designed for university classrooms,with the dual goal of enhancing IAQ and increasing energy efficiency.Two classrooms with distinct construction characteristics were analyzed:one with exterior walls and windows,and the other completely underground.For each classroom,a model was developed using DesignBuilder software,which was calibrated with experimental data regarding CO_(2) concentration,temperature,and relative humidity levels.The proposed ventilation system operates based on CO_(2) concentration,relative humidity,and potential for free heating and cooling.In addition,the analysis was conducted for other locations,demonstrating consistent energy savings across different climates and environments,always showing an annual reduction in energy consumption.Results demonstrate that mechanical ventilation,when integrated with heat recovery and free cooling strategies,significantly reduces energy consumption by up to 25%,while also maintaining optimal CO_(2) levels to enhance comfort and air quality.These findings emphasize the essential need for well-designed mechanical ventilation systems to ensure both psychophysical well-being and IAQ in enclosed spaces,particularly in environments intended for extended occupancy,such as classrooms.Furthermore,this approach has broad applicability,as it could be adapted to various building types,thereby contributing to sustainable energy management practices and promoting healthier indoor spaces.This study serves as a model for future designs aiming to balance energy efficiency with indoor air quality,especially relevant in the post-COVID era,where the importance of indoor air quality has become more widely recognized.展开更多

文摘Background:The historical trajectory of TCM appropriate technologies spans from their primordial origins in daily life practices,through the systematization of classical theoretical frameworks,to modern scientific validation and health management applications.Methods:Employing literature review and historical analysis methodologies,this study systematically traces and synthesizes the entire developmental pathway of TCM appropriate technologies.Results:The analysis reveals the intrinsic developmental patterns of these technologies and underscores their practical significance in“preventive treatment”and chronic condition management.A key exemplar of modern innovation is presented:the Hand Twelve Jing-Well Points Exercise.This non-invasive technique adapts the classical Jing-Well Points(jǐng xué)theory,extending its traditional functions in emergency care and brain health from a focus on“treating established diseases”to the paradigm of“preventive treatment.”Conclusion:This research provides a comprehensive case study for the systematic investigation of TCM appropriate technologies.It elucidates a model of inheritance and innovation within modern healthcare systems and offers a theoretical foundation for the promotion and cultural dissemination of these practices.

文摘Employees’innovative performance determines an organization’s innovation,which critically impacts its structural optimization and sustainability.Applying expectancy theory,we examined how and when the Pygmalion effect occurs in the relationship between leaders’expectations of innovation and employee innovative behavior.Our sample comprised 201 frontline employees(female=31.84%;mean age=41.48 years,SD=7.97 years)in a Chinese coal enterprise,who completed surveys on innovation expectations of leaders,expected positive performance outcomes,innovative self-efficacy and innovative behavior.The results revealed that employees’expected positive performance outcomes mediated the positive relationship between leaders’innovation expectations and their innovative behavior.Employees’innovative self-efficacy positively moderated the relationship between their expected positive performance outcomes and innovative behavior,with this relationship being stronger for employees with high innovative self-efficacy.Moreover,we validated the moderated mediation model.Findings suggest that leaders can stimulate employee innovative behavior through expressing expectations and they also need to consider the boundary conditions.

文摘With the rapid growth of the global population and the increasing demand for healthier diets,improving the nutrient utilization efficiency of staple food crops has become a critical scientific and industrial chal-lenge,prompting innovation in food processing technologies.This review introduces first the common nutritional challenges in the processing of staple food crops,followed by the comprehensive examination of research aiming to enhance the nutritional quality of staple food crop-based foods through innovative processing technologies,including microwave(MW),pulsed electric field(PEF),ultrasound,modern fer-mentation technology,and enzyme technology.Additionally,soybean processing is used as an example to underscore the importance of integrating innovative processing technologies for optimizing nutrient utilization in staple food crops.Although these innovative processing technologies have demonstrated a significant potential to improve nutrient utilization efficiency and enhance the overall nutritional pro-file of staple food crop-based food products,their current limitations must be acknowledged and addressed in future research.Fortunately,advancements in science and technology will facilitate pro-gress in food processing,enabling both the improvement of existing techniques as well as the develop-ment of entirely novel methodologies.This work aims to enhance the understanding of food practitioners on the way processing technologies may optimize nutrient utilization,thereby fostering innovation in food processing research and synergistic multi-technological strategies,ultimately providing valuable references to address global food security challenges.

文摘Digital-intelligent technologies represent the advanced direction of new quality productive forces and are becoming a driving force for the digital transformation and high-quality development of the cultural industry.Empowered by new quality productive forces,the digital cultural industry has demonstrated diverse characteristics,including the innovation of cultural production subjects,the intelligentization of production tools,the digitization of production objects,the systematization of production methods,and the diversification of production factors.Leveraging technologies such as AIGC,virtual-physical integration,and DAOs based on Web 3.0,the digital cultural industry has established an innovative paradigm,fostering a new method of AIGC production in the digital cultural industry,a new business format of virtual-physical integration,and a new collaborative ecosystem characterized by co-creation,co-building,and co-governance.Meanwhile,the innovative paradigm of the digital cultural industry also faces a series of new challenges,such as the adaptability issues with AIGC algorithm models,creative bottlenecks,and content quality control problems.Additionally,there are obstacles like the immaturity of international development channels for new business formats,the lack of cultural connotations in creative products,and the lag of the digital-intelligent governance of the industry ecosystem behind digital practices.In light of this,there is an urgent need to establish an optimization mechanism for the high-quality development of digital cultural industries driven by new quality productive forces.This includes optimizing the content production mechanism for AIGC-led high-quality innovation in the digital cultural industry;improving the leapfrog development mechanism for new digital cultural business formats through global-regional collaboration;and enhancing the accurate,high-quality governance mechanism for the digital cultural industry that is aligned with the goals of Chinese modernization.

文摘Background:Since the launch of drug regulatory reform in 2015,China has substantially increased the availability of new cancer therapies.However,the efficacy evidence criteria for modified new anticancer drugs have not been evaluated.This cross-sectional study aimed to assess the pivotal trials supporting the indication approvals of innovative and modified new chemical anticancer drugs in China.Methods:The characteristics of indications,regulatory aspects,and pivotal trial designs were extracted and described.The primary efficacy endpoints of the pivotal clinical trials,including overall survival(OS)and progression-free survival(PFS),were quantitatively assessed by meta-analysis.Results:Between 2016 and 2022,77 cancer therapeutics for 107 indications were approved in China based on 128 pivotal trials.Among the 107 indications,64(59.8%)were classified as innovative anticancer drugs,and 43(40.2%)as modified new anticancer drugs.The study found that pivotal trials for innovative approvals tended to be single-arm trials,while modified approvals were more likely to employ randomized clinical trials with larger sample sizes and rigorous designs.Despite innovative drugs often receiving more expedited regulatory designations,there were no statistically significant differences in clinical benefit of OS or PFS outcomes between innovative and modified approvals.Conclusions:These results suggest that the current regulatory framework may prioritize the speed of approval for innovative drugs over the strength of supporting evidence.These findings align with the strategic trends of pharmaceutical companies and regulatory inclinations that aim to expedite the approval of innovative anticancer drugs with a high unmet need,thereby accelerating patients’accessibility to treatment.

文摘Over the past few years,major investments have been directed toward building new railway lines and upgrading existing ones.Many of these lines include critical infrastructure where operational and safety conditions must be carefully considered throughout their life cycle.Recent advancements in science and technology have enabled more effective structural monitoring of railway systems,largely driven by the adoption of intelligent strategies for inspection,maintenance,monitoring,and risk management.Research continues to expand and deepen the knowledge in this area;however,it remains a challenging field due to factors such as the complexity of railway systems,the high cost of implementation,and the need for reliable long-term data.

文摘To better clarify the impact of the integration of education,science and technology,and talent on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in universities,this study adopts the fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis(fsQCA)method.Using 23 universities in China as the research sample,the findings reveal that:(1)none of the three individual factors,education,science and technology,or talent can independently constitute either a necessary or sufficient condition for high-quality cultivation of top-notch innovative talents;(2)the sufficient condition for achieving high-quality cultivation lies in specific configurations of multiple condition variables;(3)five configurations were identified,from which three distinct paths toward achieving high-quality cultivation were derived.Accordingly,different universities can,based on their own resource endowments and local contexts,select appropriate cultivation paths to effectively enhance the quality of top-notch innovative talent training.

文摘Indoor air quality(IAQ)is often overlooked,yet a poorly maintained environment can lead to significant health issues and reduced concentration and productivity in work or educational settings.This study presents an innovative control system for mechanical ventilation specifically designed for university classrooms,with the dual goal of enhancing IAQ and increasing energy efficiency.Two classrooms with distinct construction characteristics were analyzed:one with exterior walls and windows,and the other completely underground.For each classroom,a model was developed using DesignBuilder software,which was calibrated with experimental data regarding CO_(2) concentration,temperature,and relative humidity levels.The proposed ventilation system operates based on CO_(2) concentration,relative humidity,and potential for free heating and cooling.In addition,the analysis was conducted for other locations,demonstrating consistent energy savings across different climates and environments,always showing an annual reduction in energy consumption.Results demonstrate that mechanical ventilation,when integrated with heat recovery and free cooling strategies,significantly reduces energy consumption by up to 25%,while also maintaining optimal CO_(2) levels to enhance comfort and air quality.These findings emphasize the essential need for well-designed mechanical ventilation systems to ensure both psychophysical well-being and IAQ in enclosed spaces,particularly in environments intended for extended occupancy,such as classrooms.Furthermore,this approach has broad applicability,as it could be adapted to various building types,thereby contributing to sustainable energy management practices and promoting healthier indoor spaces.This study serves as a model for future designs aiming to balance energy efficiency with indoor air quality,especially relevant in the post-COVID era,where the importance of indoor air quality has become more widely recognized.
