A cloud is referred to computing infrastructure for a representation of network. From the perspective of providers, the main characteristics of cloud computing is being dynamic, high power in computing and storage. Also cloud computing is a cost benefit and effective way for representation of web-based spatial data and complex analysis. Furthermore, cloud computing is a way to facilitate distributed computing and store different data. One of the main features of cloud computing is ability in powerful computing and dynamic storage with an affordable expense and secure web. In this paper we further investigate the methodologies, services, issues and deployed techniques also, about situation of cloud computing in the past, present and future is probed and some issues concerning the security is expressed. Undoubtedly cloud computing is vital for spatial data infrastructure and consequently the cloud computing is able to expand the interactions for spatial data infrastructure in the future. 展开更多

Cloud computing is a new vision about the needs of information technology (IT). It provides a comprehensive concept for building a homogeneous environment through services offered in the cloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). Cloud computing is location-independent computing, whereby shared servers provide resources, software, and data to computers and other devices on demand, as with the electricity grid. Cloud computing is computing paradigm that is driven by economies of scale, in which a set of dynamically-scalable resources such as servers, storages, platforms, and services are delivered on demand to the customers over the interuet. "Cloud computing is a continuation of the direction the industry has been going for the last several years in terms of using shared and elastically scalable computing resources," says Rex Wang1, VP of Product Marketing at Oracle, who spoke at the Gartner Data Center Conference, in January 2011. Cloud computing refers to dynamic provision of virtual distributed computational resources on demand via a computer network. Cloud computing is a new high technology industry that possesses a number of advantages over existing business practices: a reduction of expenses, technical staff, and efforts of the end users. 展开更多

Infrastructure-as-a-Service(IaaS)cloud platforms offer resources with diverse buying options.Users can run an instance on the on-demand market which is stable but expensive or on the spot market with a significant discount. However, users have to carefully weigh the low cost of spot instances against their poor availability.Spot instances will be revoked when the revocation event occurs. Thus,an important problem that an IaaS user faces now is how to use spot in-stances in a cost-effective and low-risk way.Based on the replication-based fault tolerance mechanism,we propose an on-line termination algorithm that optimizes the cost of using spot instances while ensuring operational stability. We prove that in most cases, the cost of our proposed online algorithm will not exceed twice the minimum cost of the optimal of-fline algorithm that knows the exact future a priori.Through a large number of experiments,we verify that our algorithm in most cases has a competitive ratio of no more than 2,and in other cases it can also reach the guaranteed competitive ratio. 展开更多
