Despite the challenges posed by the complexity of studying culture, there remains a critical need to develop cultural competence in nursing. This study investigated how nursing students in rural Indonesia enhance their cultural competence through education and practice. Methods: This study employed a qualitative descriptive phenomenological approach. It conducted face-to-face interviews with 32 students across 6 regions, selected purposively. Thematic analysis was employed to evaluate the results. Results: Five themes emerge in this research: perceptions of cultural competence, learning cultural competence in the classroom, practical experience, learning expectations related to cultural competence, and cultural learning barriers. Conclusions: Enhancing cultural competence necessitates enriched curricula, adept clinical mentors, and continual student evaluation. 文摘Addressing these water management challenges requires a comprehensive and integrated approach.Floods and other water-related challenges in urban areas can have an impact on land values. However, the lack of studies has developed a comprehensive index methodology related to examining floods and land value relationships for urban areas. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive index methodology related to examining floods and land value relationships for urban areas that is called a Flood-Adjusted Land Value Index(FALVI)Methodology. This paper illustrates the importance of the proposed FALVI methodology to determine the relationship between flood events and land value.Important variables within three main aspects—environmental, socio, and historical flood variables—would be elaborated and measured by GIS-based analysis. It provides a more accurate and thorough assessment of property values by taking flood risk variables into account throughout the valuation process. This methodology is also regarded as an essential methodology for examining floods and land value links in metropolitan areas.FALVI can help guide government strategies on flood management, land use planning, and catastrophe risk reduction.By identifying high-risk locations, governments can prioritize flood mitigation measures and enact restrictions that prevent development in susceptible areas.Urban areas in certain watershed systems can be kept viable for the long term by carefully reviewing this methodology and implementing suitable land management strategies.
文摘This research investigates the effectiveness of climate-related development aid in Indonesia’s climate mitigation.Specific objectives include assessing the contribution of official development assistance(ODA)to reducing CO_(2) emissions and evaluating the implementation of the Busan Principles of aid effectiveness to achieve Indonesia’s mitigation priorities and targets. We utilize a new primary dataset based on interviews with the most knowledgeable stakeholders of ODA on climate change mitigation.Additionally,we use secondary data from the annual Rio Marker and the Common Reporting Standard data of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. The results show a significant correlation between climate-related development aid and CO_(2) emission reduction in Indonesia.Additionally, the implementation of the Busan Principles enhances aid management by fostering project ownership and increasing the involvement of civil society and private sector. The study has implications for devising an effective climate change mitigation strategy for Indonesia. It is suggested that the government of Indonesia exercise greater flexibility and dynamism in engaging with development partners.
文摘China and Indonesia enjoy a long history of cultural and people-to-people exchanges.China’s porcelain and silk and Indonesia’s spices and wood were traded along the Maritime Silk Road since the Han Dynasty(202 BC-AD 220).During the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644),legendary Chinese explorer Zheng He brought Chinese silk, porcelain, and culture to Indonesia during his seven epic voyages.Historical sites and memories about Zheng He have been preserved in many places of Indonesia to this day.
