42CrMo steel has the characteristics of high strength,high wear resistance,high impact resistance,and fatigue resistance.Therefore,drilling 42CrMo steel has always been a challenging task.The indexable drill bit has t... 42CrMo steel has the characteristics of high strength,high wear resistance,high impact resistance,and fatigue resistance.Therefore,drilling 42CrMo steel has always been a challenging task.The indexable drill bit has the advantages of high processing efficiency and low processing cost and has been widely used in the field of aerospace hole processing.To better understand the machining mechanism of the indexable drill bit,this paper uses the Coupled EulerianLagrangian method(CEL)to simulate the three-dimensional drilling model for the first time.The simulation results of the drilling force obtained by the CEL method and Lagrangian method are compared with the experimental results.It is verified that the CEL method is easy to converge and can avoid the problem of program interruption caused by mesh distortion,and the CEL simulation value is more consistent with the actual value.Secondly,the simulation results of cutting force and blade cutting edge node temperature under different process parameters are extracted.The variation of time domain cutting force,frequency domain cutting force and tool temperature with process parameters are obtained.This study provides a new method for the prediction of cutting performance and the optimization of process parameters of indexable drills. 展开更多

In order to meet the technical requirements of grinding the circumferential cutting edge of indexable inserts, thermo-mechanical properties of bowl-shaped grinding wheel in high speed grinding process and the influence of dimension variations of the grinding wheel on machining accuracy were investigated. Firstly, the variation trends of the dimension due to centrifugal force generated in different wheel speeds were studied and the effect of stress stiffening and spin softening was presented. Triangular heat flux distribution model was adopted to determine temperature distribution in grinding process. Temperature field cloud pictures were obtained by the finite element software. Then, dimension variation trends of wheel structure were acquired by considering the thermo-mechanical characteristic under combined action of centrifugal force and grinding heat at different speeds. A method of online dynamic monitoring and automatic compensation for dimension error of indexable insert was proposed. By experimental verification, the precision of the inserts satisfies the requirement of processing. 展开更多

气候变化和人类活动下玉米需水量时空特征及未来趋势

[目的]为探究气象因素和作物种植面积变化对宁夏引黄灌区玉米需水量的影响及未来玉米需水量变化趋势。[方法]采用Penman-Monteith公式和单作物系数法,计算宁夏引黄灌区玉米需水量并分析其时空变化特征;利用重标极差分析法预测未来作物需水量和灌溉需水量的时空演变趋势;利用基于偏导数的敏感性分析和对数平均迪氏指数分解方法,探究气象因子和种植面积变化对玉米需水量的影响并确定主要影响因素。[结果]玉米需水量具有较为明显的空间异动性,空间分布趋势呈现由引黄灌区中部向南北两端递增,西南整体低于东北趋势。在对未来需水量预测中,惠农、银川站点的作物未来需水量呈上升趋势。在考虑气象因素对玉米需水量的影响上,相对湿度的敏感系数最高;单位面积作物需水量和灌溉需水量随着最高气温、最低气温、风速、日照时间的上升而增加,随着相对湿度的增加而减少。整个研究期内,作物种植面积变化是导致玉米总需水量变化的主要因素。[结论]玉米种植规模扩大对总需水量的增加有着较大的影响,而气象因子对该时期的总需水量变化作用相对较小。研究结果可为气候变化背景下确定合理的作物种植结构和规模及灌区水资源适应性管理提供决策支持。 展开更多

该文研究了水磨糯米粉、海藻酸钠和魔芋胶对马铃薯鲜湿面条蒸煮品质、质构特性和感官特性的影响,通过单因素试验结合响应面分析,确定马铃薯鲜湿面条的最优配比组成,并比较研究了其与小麦鲜湿面条水合特性及抗消化性等品质差异。结果表明... 该文研究了水磨糯米粉、海藻酸钠和魔芋胶对马铃薯鲜湿面条蒸煮品质、质构特性和感官特性的影响,通过单因素试验结合响应面分析,确定马铃薯鲜湿面条的最优配比组成,并比较研究了其与小麦鲜湿面条水合特性及抗消化性等品质差异。结果表明,添加水磨糯米粉9.65%、海藻酸钠2.65%、魔芋胶2.26%时(质量分数),马铃薯鲜湿面条整体品质最佳,蒸煮损失率达到最低值3.48%,感官评分94.34。与小麦鲜湿面条相比,马铃薯鲜湿面条具有较高的蛋白质(12.86%)及较低的淀粉(44.56%)占比组成。质构特性结果表明,马铃薯鲜湿面条与小麦鲜湿面条在评价指标无显著性差异。水合特性结果表明,马铃薯鲜湿面条的吸水性指数(8.53)显著高于小麦面条(6.80),水溶性指数(6.13%)显著高于小麦面条(4.88%),膨胀势与小麦面条无显著性差异。经180 min体外消化后,马铃薯鲜湿面条淀粉水解率为60.05%,显著低于小麦鲜湿面条80.52%;马铃薯鲜湿面条快消化淀粉、慢消化淀粉、抗性淀粉含量分别为45.06%、36.41%、18.53%,其中,抗性淀粉含量显著高于小麦鲜湿面条12.84%与荞麦鲜湿面条15.98%,具有较高的抗消化特性。研究结果可为低血糖生成指数马铃薯主食化食品研发提供理论参考。 展开更多

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is a prevalent malignancy with a substantial health burden and high mortality rate,despite advances in prevention,early detection,and treatment.Compared with the global average,Asia,notably China,reports disproportionately high GC incidences.The disease often progresses asymptoma-tically in the early stages,leading to delayed diagnosis and compromised out-comes.Thus,it is crucial to identify early diagnostic biomarkers and enhance treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce mortality.METHODS Retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 148 patients with GC treated at the Civil Aviation Shanghai Hospital between December 2022 and December 2023.The associations of coagulation indices-partial thromboplastin time(APTT),prothrombin time(PT),thrombin time(TT),fibrinogen,fibrinogen degradation products(FDP),fasting blood glucose,and D-dimer(D-D)with TNM stage and distant metastasis were examined.RESULTS Prolongation of APTT,PT,and TT was significantly correlated with the GC TNM stage.Hence,abnormal coagulation system activation was closely related to disease progression.Elevated FDP and D-D were significantly associated with distant metastasis in GC(P<0.05),suggesting that increased fibrinolytic activity contributes to increased metastatic risk.CONCLUSION Our Results reveal coagulation indices,FDPs as GC biomarkers,reflecting abnormal coagulation/fibrinolysis,aiding disease progression,metastasis prediction,and helping clinicians assess thrombotic risk for early intervention and personalized treatment plans. 展开更多

This paper highlights the crucial role of Indonesia’s GNSS receiver network in advancing Equatorial Plasma Bubble(EPB)studies in Southeast and East Asia,as ionospheric irregularities within EPB can disrupt GNSS signals and degrade positioning accuracy.Managed by the Indonesian Geospatial Information Agency(BIG),the Indonesia Continuously Operating Reference Station(Ina-CORS)network comprises over 300 GNSS receivers spanning equatorial to southern low-latitude regions.Ina-CORS is uniquely situated to monitor EPB generation,zonal drift,and dissipation across Southeast Asia.We provide a practical tool for EPB research,by sharing two-dimensional rate of Total Electron Content(TEC)change index(ROTI)derived from this network.We generate ROTI maps with a 10-minute resolution,and samples from May 2024 are publicly available for further scientific research.Two preliminary findings from the ROTI maps of Ina-CORS are noteworthy.First,the Ina-CORS ROTI maps reveal that the irregularities within a broader EPB structure persist longer,increasing the potential for these irregularities to migrate farther eastward.Second,we demonstrate that combined ROTI maps from Ina-CORS and GNSS receivers in East Asia and Australia can be used to monitor the development of ionospheric irregularities in Southeast and East Asia.We have demonstrated the combined ROTI maps to capture the development of ionospheric irregularities in the Southeast/East Asian sector during the G5 Geomagnetic Storm on May 11,2024.We observed simultaneous ionospheric irregularities in Japan and Australia,respectively propagating northwestward and southwestward,before midnight,whereas Southeast Asia’s equatorial and low-latitude regions exhibited irregularities post-midnight.By sharing ROTI maps from Indonesia and integrating them with regional GNSS networks,researchers can conduct comprehensive EPB studies,enhancing the understanding of EPB behavior across Southeast and East Asia and contributing significantly to ionospheric research. 展开更多

Antimony smelting activities damage the soil and vegetation surroundings while generating economic value.However,no standardizedmethods are available to diagnose the extent of soil degradation at antimony smelting sites.This study developed a standardized framework for assessing soil quality by consideringmicrobial-induced resilience and heavymetal contamination at Xikuangshan antimony smelting site.The soil resilience index(SRI)and soil contamination index(SCI)were calculated byMinimum Data Set and geo-accumulation model,respectively.After standardized by a multi-criteria quantitative procedure of modified Nemerow’s pollution index(NPI),the integrated assessment of soil quality index(SQI),which is the minimumof SRINPI and SCINPI,was achieved.The results showed that Sb and As were the prominent metal(loid)pollutants,and significant correlations between SQI and SRI indicated that the poor soil quality was mainly caused by the low level of soil resilience.The primary limiting factors of SRI were Fungi in high andmiddle contaminated areas,and Skermanella in low contaminated area,suggesting that the weak soil resilience was caused by low specific microbial abundances.Microbial regulation and phytoremediation are greatly required to improve the soil quality at antimony smelting sites from the perspectives of pollution control and resilience improvement.This study improves our understanding of ecological effects of antimony smelting sites and provides a theoretical basis for ecological restoration and sustainable development of mining areas. 展开更多

Forest structure is fundamental in determining ecosystem function,yet the impact of bamboo invasion on these structural characteristics remains unclear.We investigated 219 invasion transects at 41 sites across the distribution areas of Moso bamboo(Phyllostachys edulis)in China to explore the effects of bamboo invasion on forest structural attributes and diameter–height allometries by comparing paired plots of bamboo,mixed bamboo-tree,and non-bamboo forests along the transects.We found that bamboo invasion decreased the mean and maximum diameter at breast height,maximum height,and total basal area,but increased the mean height,stem density,and scaling exponent for stands.Bamboo also had a higher scaling exponent than tree,particularly in mixed forests,suggesting a greater allocation of biomass to height growth.As invasion intensity increased,bamboo allometry became more plastic and decreased significantly,whereas tree allometry was indirectly promoted by increasing stem density.Additionally,a humid climate may favour the scaling exponents for both bamboo and tree,with only minor contributions from topsoil moisture and nitrogen content.The inherent superiority of diameter–height allometry allows bamboo to outcompete tree and contributes to its invasive success.Our findings provide a theoretical basis for understanding the causes and consequences of bamboo invasion. 展开更多

Water–Heat Synergy Shapes Evapotranspiration–Precipitation Coupling Patterns across Northern China 被引量:1

Northern China is a prominent “hotspot” for land–atmosphere interactions, with substantial gradients in both moisture and thermal conditions. Previous studies have identified a link between land–atmosphere coupling and the individual roles of each factor, but the synergistic effect of the two factors remains unclear. This study considers the covariation of evapotranspiration and precipitation to assess evapotranspiration–precipitation(ET–P) coupling across northern China,exploring its spatial variations and their linkage to water and heat factors. Our findings reveal a transition from strongly positive coupling in the northwest to weakly negative coupling in the southeast, peaking in spring. These spatial variations are attributable to water(soil moisture) and heat(air temperature), which explain 39% and 25% of the variability,respectively. The aridity index(AI), a water–heat synergy factor, is the dominant factor, explaining 66% of the spatial variation in ET–P coupling. As the AI increases, ET–P coupling shifts from strongly positive to weakly negative, with an AI around 0.7. This shift is determined by a shift in the evapotranspiration–lifting condensation level(LCL) coupling under an AI change. Regions with an AI below 0.7 experience water-limited evapotranspiration, where increased soil moisture enhances evapotranspiration, reduces sensible heat(H), and lowers the LCL, resulting in a negative ET–LCL coupling.Conversely, regions with an AI above 0.7 experience energy-limited evapotranspiration, where the positive ET–LCL coupling reflects a positive H–LCL coupling or a positive impact of the LCL on evapotranspiration. This analysis advances our understanding of the intricate influences of multifactor surface interactions on the spatial variations of land–atmosphere coupling. 展开更多

Background Breast cancer(BC)incidence and mortality vary significantly across countries,highlighting the need to update the global burden of female BC,including current trends and future projections.Methods Data were sourced from GLOBOCAN 2022,including estimated new cases and deaths from BC across 21 United Nation(UN)regions and 185 countries,the age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR)and mortality rate(ASMR),the estimated annual percentage changes(EAPC),and demographic projections through 2050.The region-specific and country-specific BC burden for women of all ages and for young women(<40 years old)was reorganized and re-plotted to highlight subgroup differences.Linear regression was used to explore the link between ASIR/ASMR and the human development index(HDI).Transitioning countries referred to those with low or medium HDI,while transitioned countries were those with high or very high HDI.Results In 2022,an estimated 2.3 million new BC cases and 666,000 BC-related deaths occurred globally,accounting for 23.8%and 15.4%of all cancer cases and deaths in women,respectively.Regionally,Eastern Asia reported the highest number of cases(480,019,ASIR:37.54/100,000),while South-Central Asia had the highest number of deaths(135,348,ASMR:13.41/100,000).At the country level,China had the highest number of cases due to its large population,whereas India reported the highest number of deaths.ASIR for both overall and early-onset BC increased with HDI,while ASMR for early-onset BC decreased with HDI(P<0.05).Overall BC showed an increasing trend in ASIR during 2003–2015(EAPC:0.92%)and a decreasing trend in ASMR during 2006–2016(EAPC:-1.06%).Early-onset BC showed a more significant rise in ASIR(EAPCs:1.4%)and a slight increase in ASMR(EAPCs:0.16%).If national rates remain stable,BC cases and deaths will increase by 54.7%and 70.9%,respectively,by 2050.Notably,increased early-onset BC cases are only observed in transitioning countries,while decreased cases are seen in transitioned countries.Conclusions Breast cancer remains the leading cancer burden in women,particularly in transitioning countries.Addressing this growing burden requires urgent integration of primary prevention,early detection and high-quality treatment through multi-sectoral collaboration. 展开更多

Objective:Postpartum nutrition plays a critical role in maternal recovery and long-term health.However,the nutritional status of working mothers in the postpartum period remains understudied.This study aimed to assess the dietary quality of postpartum women in urban Beijing,identify occupational-related factors influencing their diet,and explore potential interventions to improve maternal nutrition during the postpartum period.Methods:In this cross-sectional analysis,554 women one year after delivery were recruited from ten community health centers.Sociodemographic,occupational and postpartum care variables were collected via questionnaire.Dietary intake over the preceding year was assessed using a food frequency questionnaire.The modified dietary balance index for postpartum women were used for dietary quality assessment.Results:The study revealed severe dietary imbalances among postpartum women,characterized by excessive consumption of cereals,eggs,and meats,while their intake of vegetables,fruits,and dairy products was inadequate.According to dietary balance index for postpartum women,66.25%of mothers showed varying degrees of excessive intake.45.31%of mothers experienced varying levels of insufficient intake,with only 19.86%of participants having a relatively balanced diet.Occupational differences were observed,with women in the commercial employment group showing higher levels of excessive food intake.The analysis of influencing factors showed that family monthly income,maternity leave,and postpartum care significantly affected the dietary quality.Conclusions:Postpartum women in Beijing experience widespread dietary imbalances,with both excesses and deficiencies.Occupational context and related factors significantly shape diet quality.These findings highlight the need for targeted nutritional interventions tailored to the specific challenges of different occupational groups. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The diagnosis of gastric carcinoma(GC)is essential for improving clinical outcomes.However,the biomarkers currently used for GC screening are not ideal.AIM To explore the diagnostic implications of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),and systemic immune-inflammatory index(SII)for GC.METHODS The baseline data of 133 patients with GC and 134 patients with precancerous gastric conditions admitted between January 2022 and December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.The information on peripheral blood platelet,neutrophil,and lymphocyte counts in each patient was collected,and the NLR,PLR,and SII levels of both groups were calculated.Additionally,multivariate logistic regression analysis was conducted,and the diagnostic implications of NLR,PLR,and SII in differentiating patients with precancerous gastric conditions,compared with those with GC,were analyzed through receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves.RESULTS The data indicated that NLR,PLR,and SII had abnormally increased levels in the patients with GC.Gender and body mass index were risk factors for the occurrence of GC.ROC data revealed that the areas under the curve of three patients with precancerous gastric conditions,who were differentiated from those with GC,were 0.824,0.787,and 0.842,respectively.CONCLUSION NLR,PLR,and SII are all abnormally expressed in GC and have diagnostic implications,especially when used as joint indicators,in distinguishing patients with precancerous gastric conditions from those with GC. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Anastomotic leakage(AL)is a serious complication following rectal cancer surgery and is associated with increased recurrence,mortality,extended hospital stays,and delayed chemotherapy.The Onodera prognostic nutritional index(OPNI)and inflammation-related biomarkers,such as the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),have been studied in the context of cancer prognosis,but their combined efficacy in predicting AL remains unclear.AIM To investigate the relationships between AL and these markers and developed a predictive model for AL.METHODS A retrospective cohort study analyzed the outcomes of 434 patients who had undergone surgery for rectal cancer at a tertiary cancer center from 2016 to 2023.The patients were divided into two groups on the basis of the occurrence of AL:One group consisted of patients who experienced AL(n=49),and the other group did not(n=385).The investigation applied logistic regression to develop a risk prediction model utilizing clinical,pathological,and laboratory data.The efficacy of this model was then evaluated through receiver operating characteristic curve analysis.RESULTS In the present study,11.28%of the participants(49 out of 434 participants)suffered from AL.Multivariate analysis revealed that preoperative levels of the OPNI,NLR,and PLR emerged as independent risk factors for AL,with odds ratios of 0.705(95%CI:0.641-0.775,P=0.012),1.628(95%CI:1.221-2.172,P=0.024),and 0.994(95%CI:0.989-0.999,P=0.031),respectively.These findings suggest that these biomarkers could effectively predict AL risk.Furthermore,the proposed predictive model has superior discriminative ability,as demonstrated by an area under the curve of 0.910,a sensitivity of 0.898,and a specificity of 0.826,reflecting its high level of accuracy.CONCLUSION The risk of AL in rectal cancer surgery patients can be effectively predicted by assessing the preoperative levels of serum nutritional biomarkers and inflammatory indicators,emphasizing their importance in the preoperative evaluation process. 展开更多

AIM:To assess the relationship between serological parameters and the prognosis of young patients with retinal vein occlusion(RVO)after intravitreal conbercept injection(IVC).METHODS:This study enrolled 100 young patients(≤50 years old)diagnosed with RVO-related macular edema(RVO-ME)who had been undergoing IVC at the 474 Hospital in Xinjiang between January 2022 and October 2023.Patients were categorized into two groups:70 eyes in the effective group and 30 eyes in the ineffective group.The effective group comprised patients exhibiting a visual acuity improvement of≥2 lines at the last follow-up,with resolved ME and central macular thickness(CMT)<300μm.Conversely,the ineffective group included patients with visual acuity improvement of<1 line,persistent ME,and CMT≥300μm at the last follow-up.Serological parameters,including white blood cell count,neutrophil count,lymphocyte count,monocyte count,and mean platelet volume were assessed before treatment.The correlation between bestcorrected visual acuity(BCVA)and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),systemic immune inflammation index(SII),and systemic immune response index(SIRI)was analyzed.Additionally,the association between these serological parameters and the efficacy of IVC was explored.RESULTS:Three months after treatment,the effective group demonstrated a significant improvement in BCVA from 0.82±0.20 to 0.36±0.10,with a concurrent decrease in CMT from 661.28±163.90 to 200.61±82.45μm(P<0.001).Conversely,the ineffective group exhibited minimal changes in BCVA(0.86±0.25 to 0.82±0.14)and CMT(669.84±164.95 to 492.13±138.67μm,P<0.001).The differences in BCVA and CMT between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.001).According to subgroup analysis,in patients with central RVO(CRVO),BCVA improved from 0.82±0.23 to 0.49±0.12 in the effective group and from 0.80±0.18 to 0.76±0.22 in the ineffective group(P<0.001).The CMT changes followed a similar pattern.In patients with branch RVO(BRVO),comparable trends in BCVA and CMT changes were observed between the effective and ineffective groups(P<0.001).Additionally,the effective group exhibited higher PLR and SII values than the ineffective group(P<0.05).Further CRVO and BRVO subgroups analysis exhibited consistent PLR and SII value trends.CONCLUSION:Compared to other inflammatory factors,elevated PLR and SII levels before treatment are better predictors of outcomes in young RVO-ME patients undergoing IVC treatment. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a prevalent malignant neoplasm characterized by subtle early manifestations.AIM To investigate the correlation among serum lipid profiles,the triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index,and the atherosclerotic index(AI)in patients with CRC.Furthermore,it explored the clinical diagnostic utility of combining serum lipids with cancer antigens in the context of CRC.METHODS A retrospective analysis encompassed 277 patients with CRC and 1034 healthy individuals.RESULTS Following propensity score matching,patients with CRC exhibited significantly reduced levels of serum triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),as well as a diminished TyG index.Conversely,they displayed elevated AI levels compared to their healthy counterparts.Patients in advanced stages exhibited lower serum levels of TG,TC,and LDL-C compared to those in early stages.Patients with positive lymph node metastasis demonstrated reduced levels of TG,LDL-C,and the TyG index.Receiver operating characteristic analysis revealed that the combination of the TyG index,carcinoembryonic antigen,and carbohydrate antigen 19-9 yielded the highest positive prediction rate for CRC at 75.3%.CONCLUSION Preoperative serum lipid profiles exhibit a robust association with patients with CRC.The concurrent assessment of multiple serum lipids and cancer antigens effectively enhances the diagnostic accuracy for CRC. 展开更多

ACKGROUND The hemoglobin glycation index(HGI)represents the discrepancy between the glucose management indicator(GMI)based on mean blood glucose levels and laboratory values of glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c).The HGI is a promising indicator for identifying individuals with excessive glycosylation,facilitating personalized evaluation and prediction of diabetic complications.However,the factors influencing the HGI in patients with type 1 diabetes(T1D)remain unclear.Autoimmune destruction of pancreaticβcells is central in T1D pathogenesis,yet insulin resistance can also be a feature of patients with T1D and their coexistence is called“double diabetes”(DD).However,knowledge regarding the relationship between DD features and the HGI in T1D is limited.AIM To assess the association between the HGI and DD features in adults with T1D.METHODS A total of 83 patients with T1D were recruited for this cross-sectional study.Laboratory HbA1c and GMI from continuous glucose monitoring data were collected to calculate the HGI.DD features included a family history of type 2 diabetes,overweight/obesity/central adiposity,hypertension,atherogenic dyslipidemia,an abnormal percentage of body fat(PBF)and/or visceral fat area(VFA)and decreased estimated insulin sensitivity.Skin autofluorescence of advanced glycation end products(SAF-AGEs),diabetic complications,and DD features were assessed,and their association with the HGI was analyzed.RESULTS A discrepancy was observed between HbA1c and GMI among patients with T1D and DD.A higher HGI was associated with an increased number of SAF-AGEs and a higher prevalence of diabetic microangiopathy(P=0.030),particularly retinopathy(P=0.031).Patients with three or more DD features exhibited an eight-fold increased risk of having a high HGI,compared with those without DD features(adjusted odds ratio=8.12;95%confidence interval:1.52-43.47).Specifically,an elevated PBF and/or VFA and decreased estimated insulin sensitivity were associated with high HGI.Regression analysis identified estimated insulin sensitivity and VFA as factors independently associated with HGI.CONCLUSION In patients with T1D,DD features are associated with a higher HGI,which represents a trend toward excessive glycosylation and is associated with a higher prevalence of chronic diabetic complications. 展开更多

The progressive failure characteristics of geomaterial are a remarkable and challenging topic in geotechnical engineering.To study the effect of salt content and temperature on the progressive failure characteristics of frozen sodium sulfate saline sandy soil,a series of uniaxial compression tests were performed by integrating digital image correlation(DIC)technology into the testing apparatus.The evolution law of the uniaxial compression strength(UCS),the failure strain,and the formation of the shear band of the frozen sodium sulfate saline sandy soil were analyzed.The test results show that within the scope of this study,with the increase of salt content,both the UCS and the shear band angle initially decrease with increasing salt content before showing an increase.In contrast,the failure strain and the width of the shear band exhibit an initial increase followed by a decrease in the samples.In addition,to investigate the brittle failure characteristics of frozen sodium sulfate saline sandy soil,two classic brittleness evaluation methods were employed to quantitatively assess the brittleness level for the soil samples.The findings suggest that the failure characteristics under all test conditions in this study belong to the transition stage between brittle and ductile,indicating that frozen sodium sulfate saline sandy soil exhibits certain brittle behavior under uniaxial compression conditions,and the brittleness index basically decreases and then increases with the rise in salt content. 展开更多
