Quantum Spin Liquid Phase in the Shastry–Sutherland Model Detected by an Improved Level Spectroscopic Method

We study the spin-1/2 two-dimensional Shastry–Sutherland spin model by exact diagonalization of clusters with periodic boundary conditions, developing an improved level spectroscopic technique using energy gaps between states with different quantum numbers. The crossing points of some of the relative(composite) gaps have much weaker finite-size drifts than the normally used gaps defined only with respect to the ground state, thus allowing precise determination of quantum critical points even with small clusters. Our results support the picture of a spin liquid phase intervening between the well-known plaquette-singlet and antiferromagnetic ground states, with phase boundaries in almost perfect agreement with a recent density matrix renormalization group study, where much larger cylindrical lattices were used [J. Yang et al., Phys. Rev. B 105, L060409(2022)]. The method of using composite low-energy gaps to reduce scaling corrections has potentially broad applications in numerical studies of quantum critical phenomena. 展开更多

Landslide probability prediction plays an important role in understanding landslide information in advance and taking preventive measures.Many factors can influence the occurrence of landslides,which is easy to have a curse of dimensionality and thus lead to reduce prediction accuracy.Then the generalization ability of the model will also decline sharply when there are only small samples.To reduce the dimension of calculation and balance the model’s generalization and learning ability,this study proposed a landslide prediction method based on improved principal component analysis(PCA)and mixed kernel function least squares support vector regression(LSSVR)model.First,the traditional PCA was introduced with the idea of linear discrimination,and the dimensions of initial influencing factors were reduced from 8 to 3.The improved PCA can not only weight variables but also extract the original feature.Furthermore,combined with global and local kernel function,the mixed kernel function LSSVR model was framed to improve the generalization ability.Whale optimization algorithm(WOA)was used to optimize the parameters.Moreover,Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),the sum of squared errors(SSE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),Mean Absolute Precentage Error(MAPE),and reliability were employed to verify the performance of the model.Compared with radial basis function(RBF)LSSVR model,Elman neural network model,and fuzzy decision model,the proposed method has a smaller deviation.Finally,the landslide warning level obtained from the landslide probability can also provide references for relevant decision-making departments in emergency response. 展开更多

It is very important to accurately recognize and locate pulverized and block coal seen in a coal mine's infrared image monitoring system. Infrared monitor images of pulverized and block coal were sampled in the roadway of a coal mine. Texture statistics from the grey level dependence matrix were selected as the criterion for classification. The distributions of the texture statistics were calculated and analysed. A normalizing function was added to the front end of the BP network with one hidden layer. An additional classification layer is joined behind the linear layer. The recognition of pulverized from block coal images was tested using the improved BP network. The results of the experiment show that texture variables from the grey level dependence matrix can act as recognizable features of the image. The innovative improved BP network can then recognize the pulverized and block coal images. 展开更多

Organic compounds have the advantages of green sustainability and high designability,but their high solubility leads to poor durability of zinc-organic batteries.Herein,a high-performance quinone-based polymer(H-PNADBQ)material is designed by introducing an intramolecular hydrogen bonding(HB)strategy.The intramolecular HB(C=O⋯N-H)is formed in the reaction of 1,4-benzoquinone and 1,5-naphthalene diamine,which efficiently reduces the H-PNADBQ solubility and enhances its charge transfer in theory.In situ ultraviolet-visible analysis further reveals the insolubility of H-PNADBQ during the electrochemical cycles,enabling high durability at different current densities.Specifically,the H-PNADBQ electrode with high loading(10 mg cm^(-2))performs a long cycling life at 125 mA g^(-1)(>290 cycles).The H-PNADBQ also shows high rate capability(137.1 mAh g^(−1)at 25 A g^(−1))due to significantly improved kinetics inducted by intramolecular HB.This work provides an efficient approach toward insoluble organic electrode materials. 展开更多

Phenotypic Characterization and Strategies for Genetic Improvement of WAD Goats under Backyard Systems

West African Dwarf (WAD) goats represent one of the predominant small ruminant breeds raised by resource-limited households in southern Nigeria as well as in the humid west and central Africa. This breed of goats is renowned for its adaptation to hot and humid environments, high fertility and prolificacy under backyard systems where they are raised almost with zero investment. On account of its contributions to household income and food security in southern Nigeria, there is the need for a detailed phenotypic and genetic characterization as well as the design of breeding strategies for its conservation through sustainable utilization. A critical challenge, however, is that there are no national breeding policies in most of the countries where WAD goats are raised. The objectives of this paper are: to review literature reports on trait-level information and estimates of genetic parameters for some economic characters of WAD goats;and to discuss a communal breeding scheme for its conservation through sustainable utilization. The presentation shows that WAD goats represent a highly diverse population, with particular reference to qualitative and performance-related traits, reflecting the role of traditional institutions in the maintenance of animal diversity in local populations. A genetic improvement programme involving dispersed open nucleus breeding scheme was discussed. The scheme involves backyard WAD goat units in villages as base population and dispersed communally managed schemes that maintain a population of bucks only, as nucleus units. Critical issues such as the definition of breeding goals by farmers, as well as communal project ownership, are emphasized. The ultimate goal of the breeding programme is to create opportunities for community-based management of WAD goat genetic resources for the benefit of backyard goat farmers in the region. 展开更多

由于铁路建设项目投资大、建设周期长,决策者需要从多个候选新项目中确定最佳的投资组合以保证货运需求和投资效益。研究构建了多项目、多阶段的货运铁路网投资建设双层规划模型,上层规划站在政府角度,以规划期内货流运输成本、未满足... 由于铁路建设项目投资大、建设周期长,决策者需要从多个候选新项目中确定最佳的投资组合以保证货运需求和投资效益。研究构建了多项目、多阶段的货运铁路网投资建设双层规划模型,上层规划站在政府角度,以规划期内货流运输成本、未满足需求所带来的流失成本和各种建设项目所需要的年度化资金投入最小为目标;下层规划站在铁路运输企业角度,以企业年度收益最大化为目标,根据货流OD需求在路网上优化分配货流量。设计带有精英保留策略的改进遗传算法进行求解。案例结果表明:在预算较低时,投入的预算资金不能得到充分利用,需求流失与综合成本可能会处于较高水平,影响运输系统的效率和服务质量;而在预算逐渐增加的情况下,投入资金能够得到充分利用,降低综合成本,避免需求流失,加快货流实现“公转铁”。 展开更多

针对传统棉叶螨人工诊断分级方法费工费时且存在滞后性的问题,提出一种基于改进DenseNet—121的棉叶螨危害等级识别模型。依据棉叶螨害分级标准,在单一背景和自然背景下采集不同危害等级的棉叶图像,并对原始数据集进行增强以模拟图像采... 针对传统棉叶螨人工诊断分级方法费工费时且存在滞后性的问题,提出一种基于改进DenseNet—121的棉叶螨危害等级识别模型。依据棉叶螨害分级标准,在单一背景和自然背景下采集不同危害等级的棉叶图像,并对原始数据集进行增强以模拟图像采集时受不同天气情况、拍摄角度和设备噪声等因素的影响。不同螨害等级棉叶间特征相似度高、识别难度大,在优选DenseNet—121模型的基础上,首先,将第一层卷积中的7×7卷积核替换为Inception模块,增强浅层网络的特征提取能力;其次,在Transition Layer后引入SimAM注意力机制,强化棉叶螨害特征并抑制背景特征;最后,在Dense Layer后应用DropBlock正则化,提高模型的鲁棒性和抗过拟合能力。结果表明,所提模型在原始数据集上的识别准确率达到90.76%,较原始模型提高4.21个百分点;数据增强和3项改进策略分别使模型的识别准确率提高1.47、2.74、2.37、1.86个百分点;综合性能明显优于VGG16、ResNet50等模型。 展开更多

At present, most of the association rules algorithms are based on the Boolean attribute and single-level association rules mining. But data of the real world has various types, the multi-level and quantitative attributes are got more and more attention. And the most important step is to mine frequent sets. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that is called fuzzy multiple-level association (FMA) rules to mine frequent sets. It is based on the improved Eclat algorithm that is different to many researchers’ proposed algorithms thatused the Apriori algorithm. We analyze quantitative data’s frequent sets by using the fuzzy theory, dividing the hierarchy of concept and softening the boundary of attributes’ values and frequency. In this paper, we use the vertical-style data and the improved Eclat algorithm to describe the proposed method, we use this algorithm to analyze the data of Beijing logistics route. Experiments show that the algorithm has a good performance, it has better effectiveness and high efficiency. 展开更多

In this paper, first, analyzing the IGS quantizing operations reveals the capability of conserving a DC signal level of a source image through the quantization. Then, a complete procedure for producing a multi-level halftone image by IGS quantization that can achieve the DC conservation is presented. Also, the procedure uses the scanning of source pixels in an order such that geometric patterns can be prevented from occurring in the resulting halftone image. Next, the performance of the multi-level IGS halftoning is evaluated by experiments conducted on 8-bit gray-scale test images in comparison with the halftoning by error diffusion. The experimental result demonstrates that a signal level to be quantized in the IGS halftoning varies more randomly than that in the error diffusion halftoning, but not entirely randomly. Also, visual quality of the resulting halftone images was measured by subjective evaluations of viewers.
