Methodology: These were retrospective descriptive studies of patient consultation and hospitalization records in the 17 psychiatric and addictology care centers in Senegal from 2018 to 2022. This was an exhaustive survey. All usable consultation and hospitalization registers were included in the study. Non-usable consultation and hospitalization registers were not included. Data were collected from January 1 to December 31 of each respective year. Data were cleaned using Excel before analysis. R software version 4.3.3 was used for analysis. Results: Between 2018 and 2022, 26,029 patients were registered in mental health facilities in Senegal. The Fann Psychiatry Department (CHNU Fann) admitted 23.2% of patients and the Thiaroye National Psychiatric Hospital registered 17.6% of drug users. For the year 2019, we found 8259 and in 2021, we had 6607 patients. The male gender was more represented with 14,750 patients, or 90.9%. The age group [25 - 34] was the majority (7013 patients or 39.5%). The majority of patients (17,425 patients, or 84.6%) were followed as outpatients. The drugs were mainly inhaled (96.7%). The most consumed substance was cannabis with 8847 patients, or 54.2%. Withdrawal was the main reason for treatment, 11,614 patients, or 85.7%. Conclusion: In the light of the results of our study, we can say that the use of psychoactive substances is a real public health and development problem in Senegal. The peaks in psychoactive substance consumption preceded the peaks in psychiatric care centers, so we need to promote information, education and communication on the harmful effects of psychoactive substance consumption among the population in general and young people in particular, in order to safeguard the country’s development.展开更多

However, proper use of antihypertensive drugs can reduce the risks of morbidity and mortality associated with the disease. The aim of this study was to determine the pattern of antihypertensive drugs in an urban population in Abidjan. To this end, a retrospective descriptive study was conducted. Data were collected from the consumption histories of several pharmacies in the Abobo commune of Abidjan between March and August 2020. Drugs available in pharmacies and containing one or more active ingredients in the ATC classification of antihypertensives were included. A total of 1082 sales of antihypertensives were recorded, with 53% of medicines containing a single molecule and 46% containing combinations of two molecules. Antihypertensives containing one active compound showed a high proportion of diuretics (28.7%), followed by calcium antagonists (20.35%) and beta-blockers (19.13%). The combination of ACE inhibitors and calcium antagonists was sold at 34.71%, with the combination of calcium antagonists/ACE inhibitors + diuretics (45.46%) in the two and three-molecule classes respectively. All in all, the study showed the patients were satisfied with the use of antihypertensives, with furosemide and the amlodipine/perindopril combination at the top of the list.展开更多

This process gives off EPS microplastics, which can find their way into water, food, blood, and major organ systems. Zophobas morio larvae are capable of consuming and breaking down EPS within their digestive tracts by minimizing the spread of microplastics. Studies of the consumption of EPS by Z. morio larvae are typically conducted under white or no visible light treatments. This study tested whether the color of visible light influenced the consumption rate of EPS by Z. morio larvae. If Z. morio larvae consume EPS under visible light, then visible light will influence the amount of EPS consumed. If results suggest that the consumption rate is influenced by visible light colors, then Z. morio larvae could be a solution for recycling EPS. This study’s procedure placed Z. morio larvae into 25 jars under one of six visible light treatments of red, yellow, green, blue, white, and no visible light. Each jar contained a pre-weighed block of EPS and six Z. morio larvae. After two weeks, the Z. morio larvae were removed from the jars, and the difference between each pre-weighed EPS block and the weight of the same partially consumed block was recorded in three trials. The data indicates that green and blue visible light treatments resulted in the greatest amount of EPS consumed by Z. morio larvae while the red and yellow had the least amount of EPS consumed by the Z. morio larvae. In conclusion, results indicate that green and blue visible light, compared to the no visible light treatment, could be used to influence the Z. morio larvae to consume more EPS. Green and blue visible light and Z. morio larvae could make the recycling process of EPS more environmentally friendly when used in households or by local environmental organizations.展开更多
As the new generation of low Earth orbit(LEO)satellite communication systems begins to provide high-speed broadband access services to areas without terrestrial cellular coverage,scholars both domestically and interna...As the new generation of low Earth orbit(LEO)satellite communication systems begins to provide high-speed broadband access services to areas without terrestrial cellular coverage,scholars both domestically and internationally are reassessing the relationship between satellite and ground communications in regions prone to warfare and sparsely populated areas.Especially after the launch of Starlink’s“Direct to Cell”service,many believe that new-generation LEO satellite communication systems may not just be a supplement to terrestrial networks in the future.Presently,the discourse surrounding satellite-terrestrial network technology predominantly centers on economic costs and user acceptance,with a noticeable gap in research that addresses green communication and sustainable development.This paper,therefore,aims to fill this void by modeling the energy consumption of LEO satellite communication systems,exemplified by Starlink,and juxtaposing it with that of terrestrial networks.Our findings indicate that the energy consumption of satellite communication systems,such as Starlink,is a staggering 32.9 times higher than that of ground base station clusters in remote regions and an astonishing 715 times greater in densely populated urban areas.Although satellite communication systems hold the promise of global coverage,their standalone construction without integration with terrestrial networks could lead to significant energy waste.展开更多

Thermosyphon loops are widely used in cooling systems.However,such distributed thermal management systems lack the ability to actively control the coolant flow in each parallel branch.An effective method for addressin...Thermosyphon loops are widely used in cooling systems.However,such distributed thermal management systems lack the ability to actively control the coolant flow in each parallel branch.An effective method for addressing this is to control the coolant flow in each branch using a solenoid valve.However,the existing valves do not satisfy the requirements for fast switching,low power,low pressure loss,and miniaturization.Therefore,in this study,a low-power-consumption miniature solenoid valve(LMSV)is proposed for use in thermal management systems.The key novelty is that the valve is designed with a suitably sized permanent magnet(PM)to allow the spool to continue working without consuming electrical energy.To achieve low flow resistance,a straight-through design is employed in the valve with the electromagnetic actuator located inside the valve shell.Multiphysical coupling analysis is performed to investigate its performance.The influence of the PM dimensions and current on the magnetic field distribution and electromagnetic force is studied.The effects of these key parameters on the flow field and pressure loss are also analyzed.Because the LMSV is sensitive to temperature,the switching time and energy consumption at different working temperatures are investigated.Experimental test platforms are constructed.A valve switching time of as short as 3 ms,pressure loss of 200 Pa at 0.92 L/min,and energy consumption of approximately 1.55 J during the opening and closing processes are achieved.The novel solenoid valve proposed in this study offers fast switching,low power consumption,low pressure loss,and miniaturization to meet the requirements of thermal management systems.展开更多
Subjective well-being is a key indicator of quality of life and a crucial factor for successful aging among older adults.However,few studies have explored the subjective well-being among older adults from the perspect...Subjective well-being is a key indicator of quality of life and a crucial factor for successful aging among older adults.However,few studies have explored the subjective well-being among older adults from the perspective of digital literacy.Therefore,this study explores the relationship between digital literacy and subjective well-being using data on 4270 older adults from the 2020 China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)dataset.PROCESS mediation analysis results indicated digital literacy is associated with higher subjective well-being among the older adults.Digital literacy was associated with the frequency of physical exercise and consumption.Moreover,Digital literacy can also enhance the subjective well-being among older adults by increasing the frequency of physical exercise,and consumption,and a chain mediator subjective well-being.These findings align with the theoretical framework of digital health literacy.Theory which posits that health information obtained through digital literacy can help older adults better engage in healthy lifestyles,thereby enhancing their quality of life.These findings hold significant practical implications for enhancing the subjective well-being among older adults and advancing the development of successful aging.展开更多
Phase change absorbents based on amine chemical absorption for CO_(2)capture exhibit energy-saving potential,but generally suffer from difficulties in CO_(2)regeneration.Alcohol,characterized as a protic reagent with ...Phase change absorbents based on amine chemical absorption for CO_(2)capture exhibit energy-saving potential,but generally suffer from difficulties in CO_(2)regeneration.Alcohol,characterized as a protic reagent with a low dielectric constant,can provide free protons to the rich phase of the absorbent,thereby facilitating CO_(2)regeneration.In this investigation,N-aminoethylpiperazine(AEP)/sulfolane/H_(2)O was employed as the liquid-liquid phase change absorbent,with alcohol serving as the regulator.First,appropriate ion pair models were constructed to simulate the solvent effect of the CO_(2)products in different alcohol solutions.The results demonstrated that these ion pair products reached the maximum solvation-free energy(△E_(solvation))in the rich phase containing ethanol(EtOH).Desorption experiment results validated that the inclusion of EtOH led to a maximum regeneration rate of 0.00763 mol/min,thus confirming EtOH’s suitability as the preferred regulator.Quantum chemical calculations and^(13)C NMR characterization were performed,revealing that the addition of EtOH resulted in the partial conversion of AEP-carbamate(AEPCOO−)into a new product known as ethyl carbonate(C_(2)H_(5)OCOO−),which enhanced the regeneration reactivity.In addition,the decomposition paths of different CO_(2)products were simulated visually,and every reaction’s activation energy(△E_(act))was calculated.Remarkably,the△E_(act)for the decomposition of C_(2)H_(5)OCOO−(9.465 kJ/mol)was lower than that of the AEPCOO−(26.163 kJ/mol),implying that CO_(2)was more likely to be released.Finally,the regeneration energy consumption of the alcohol-regulated absorbentwas estimated to be only 1.92 GJ/ton CO_(2),which had excellent energy-saving potential.展开更多

Total nitrogen(TN)removal is one of the key issues in improving water quality,while the traditional nitrification-denitrification process with its high energy consumption is unsustainable,due to greenhouse gas(GHG)emi...Total nitrogen(TN)removal is one of the key issues in improving water quality,while the traditional nitrification-denitrification process with its high energy consumption is unsustainable,due to greenhouse gas(GHG)emission.A method using organic-inorganic pellets and selectedmicroalgae that can operate without electricity consumption was designed for TN removal in actual wastewater treatment.The results showed that the TN removal efficiencies with different pellets were 88.2%±2.2%,86.6%±3.0%,85.4%±4.3%,and 82.3%±6.5%,respectively.Microalgae assimilated inorganic nitrogen within cells,resulting in a significant positive relationship with TN(P<0.05),and effectively removed TNthrough sedimentation.The pellets adsorbed nitrogen andmicroorganisms,released organic substances to regulate the ratio of water chemical oxygen demand(COD)to TN,and correspondingly influenced microbial growth.Microalgae and bacteria such as Romboutsia,Proteiniclasticum,and Rhodopseudomonas cooperated to form a mixed aerobic(water)-anaerobic(pellets)environment in the devices,and acted synergistically to remove TN.This study verifies the feasibility of TN removal with only solar energy in a low flow application in large spaces,benefiting carbon neutrality in wastewater treatment.展开更多
Objective The relationship between fish consumption and stroke is inconsistent,and it is uncertain whether this association varies across predicted stroke risks.Methods A cohort study comprising 95,800 participants fr...Objective The relationship between fish consumption and stroke is inconsistent,and it is uncertain whether this association varies across predicted stroke risks.Methods A cohort study comprising 95,800 participants from the Prediction for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk in China project was conducted.A standardized questionnaire was used to collect data on fish consumption.Participants were stratified into low-and moderate-to-high-risk categories based on their 10-year stroke risk prediction scores.Hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)were estimated using Cox proportional hazard models and additive interaction by relative excess risk due to interaction(RERI),attributable proportion(AP),and synergy index(SI).Results During 703,869 person-years of follow-up,2,773 incident stroke events were identified.Higher fish consumption was associated with a lower risk of stroke,particularly among moderate-to-high-risk individuals(HR=0.53,95%CI:0.47-0.60)than among low-risk individuals(HR=0.64,95%CI:0.49-0.85).A significant additive interaction between fish consumption and predicted stroke risk was observed(RERI=4.08,95%CI:2.80-5.36;SI=1.64,95%CI:1.42-1.89;AP=0.36,95%CI:0.28-0.43).Conclusion Higher fish consumption was associated with a lower risk of stroke,and this beneficial association was more pronounced in individuals with moderate-to-high stroke risk.展开更多

BACKGROUND Patients who undergo cardiac surgery often face postoperative pain and potential cognitive issues.Multimodal analgesia may address these problems.We hypothesized that multimodal analgesia can reduce opioid ...BACKGROUND Patients who undergo cardiac surgery often face postoperative pain and potential cognitive issues.Multimodal analgesia may address these problems.We hypothesized that multimodal analgesia can reduce opioid use and improve cognitive recovery.AIM To investigate the effects of multimodal analgesia on postoperative opioid consumption and cognitive recovery in patients who underwent cardiac surgery.METHODS A prospective,randomized controlled trial at General Hospital from January 2020 to April 2023 recruited a total of 150 adult patients who underwent elective cardiac surgery.The patients were randomly divided into two groups.Group A had patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with sufentanil and flurbiprofen axil.Group B had flurbiprofen axil and paravertebral nerve block.Data were analyzed with appropriate statistical methods.RESULTS Group B had lower postoperative patient-controlled intravenous analgesia drug consumption(2.21 mL/hour vs 4.26 mL/hour,P<0.001),shorter extubation time(2.32 hours vs 3.81 hours,P<0.001),and intensive care unit stay(15.32 h vs 28.63 h,P<0.001).Visual Analogue Scale pain scores were lower in group B(P<0.001).Group B had fewer postoperative complications(no respiratory depression vs 37.9%in group A,P<0.05),a lower postoperative cognitive dysfunction incidence(16.0%vs 28.0%,P<0.05),and higher Barthel Index scores(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Multimodal analgesia with paravertebral nerve block and flurbiprofen axil reduces opioid use and improves cognitive outcomes in patients who underwent cardiac surgery.展开更多
The multiple nuclides identification algorithm with low consumption and strong robustness is crucial for rapid radioactive source searching.This study investigates the design of a low-consumption multiple nuclides ide...The multiple nuclides identification algorithm with low consumption and strong robustness is crucial for rapid radioactive source searching.This study investigates the design of a low-consumption multiple nuclides identification algorithm for portable gamma spectrometers.First,the gamma spectra of 12 target nuclides(including the background case)were measured to create training datasets.The characteristic energies,obtained through energy calibration and full-energy peak addresses,are utilized as input features for a neural network.A large number of single-and multiple-nuclide training datasets are generated using random combinations and small-range drifting.Subsequently,a multi-label classification neural network based on a binary cross-entropy loss function is applied to export the existence probability of certain nuclides.The designed algorithm effectively reduces the computation time and storage space required by the neural network and has been successfully implemented in a portable gamma spectrometer with a running time of t_(r)<2 s.Results show that,in both validation and actual tests,the identification accuracy of the designed algorithm reaches 94.8%,for gamma spectra with a dose rate of d≈0.5μSv∕h and a measurement time t_(m)=60 s.This improves the ability to perform rapid on-site nuclide identification at important sites.展开更多

However, proper use of antihypertensive drugs can reduce the risks of morbidity and mortality associated with the disease. The aim of this study was to determine the pattern of antihypertensive drugs in an urban population in Abidjan. To this end, a retrospective descriptive study was conducted. Data were collected from the consumption histories of several pharmacies in the Abobo commune of Abidjan between March and August 2020. Drugs available in pharmacies and containing one or more active ingredients in the ATC classification of antihypertensives were included. A total of 1082 sales of antihypertensives were recorded, with 53% of medicines containing a single molecule and 46% containing combinations of two molecules. Antihypertensives containing one active compound showed a high proportion of diuretics (28.7%), followed by calcium antagonists (20.35%) and beta-blockers (19.13%). The combination of ACE inhibitors and calcium antagonists was sold at 34.71%, with the combination of calcium antagonists/ACE inhibitors + diuretics (45.46%) in the two and three-molecule classes respectively. All in all, the study showed the patients were satisfied with the use of antihypertensives, with furosemide and the amlodipine/perindopril combination at the top of the list.

文摘The process of disposing of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is by burning it in municipal incinerators. This process gives off EPS microplastics, which can find their way into water, food, blood, and major organ systems. Zophobas morio larvae are capable of consuming and breaking down EPS within their digestive tracts by minimizing the spread of microplastics. Studies of the consumption of EPS by Z. morio larvae are typically conducted under white or no visible light treatments. This study tested whether the color of visible light influenced the consumption rate of EPS by Z. morio larvae. If Z. morio larvae consume EPS under visible light, then visible light will influence the amount of EPS consumed. If results suggest that the consumption rate is influenced by visible light colors, then Z. morio larvae could be a solution for recycling EPS. This study’s procedure placed Z. morio larvae into 25 jars under one of six visible light treatments of red, yellow, green, blue, white, and no visible light. Each jar contained a pre-weighed block of EPS and six Z. morio larvae. After two weeks, the Z. morio larvae were removed from the jars, and the difference between each pre-weighed EPS block and the weight of the same partially consumed block was recorded in three trials. The data indicates that green and blue visible light treatments resulted in the greatest amount of EPS consumed by Z. morio larvae while the red and yellow had the least amount of EPS consumed by the Z. morio larvae. In conclusion, results indicate that green and blue visible light, compared to the no visible light treatment, could be used to influence the Z. morio larvae to consume more EPS. Green and blue visible light and Z. morio larvae could make the recycling process of EPS more environmentally friendly when used in households or by local environmental organizations.

文摘As the new generation of low Earth orbit(LEO)satellite communication systems begins to provide high-speed broadband access services to areas without terrestrial cellular coverage,scholars both domestically and internationally are reassessing the relationship between satellite and ground communications in regions prone to warfare and sparsely populated areas.Especially after the launch of Starlink’s“Direct to Cell”service,many believe that new-generation LEO satellite communication systems may not just be a supplement to terrestrial networks in the future.Presently,the discourse surrounding satellite-terrestrial network technology predominantly centers on economic costs and user acceptance,with a noticeable gap in research that addresses green communication and sustainable development.This paper,therefore,aims to fill this void by modeling the energy consumption of LEO satellite communication systems,exemplified by Starlink,and juxtaposing it with that of terrestrial networks.Our findings indicate that the energy consumption of satellite communication systems,such as Starlink,is a staggering 32.9 times higher than that of ground base station clusters in remote regions and an astonishing 715 times greater in densely populated urban areas.Although satellite communication systems hold the promise of global coverage,their standalone construction without integration with terrestrial networks could lead to significant energy waste.

文摘Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces(RISs)with the capability of nearly passive beamforming,have recently sparked considerable interests.This paper presents an energy-efficient discrete phase encoding method for RIS-assisted communication systems.Firstly,the beamforming gain,power consumption and energy efficiency models for the RIS-assisted system are illustrated.On this basis,the discrete phase encoding problem is formulated for the purpose of improving the energy efficiency,under the power constraint and the quality-of-service(QoS)requirement.According to the interrelation between the phase encoding and power consumption,a three-step encoding method is proposed with the capability of customizing the beamforming gain,power consumption,and energy efficiency.Simulation results indicate that the proposed method is capable of achieving a more favorable performance in terms of satisfying the QoS demand,reducing the power consumption,and improving the energy efficiency.Furthermore,two field trials at 35 GHz evidence the superiority performance and feasibility characteristics of the proposed method in real environment.This work may provide a reference for future applications of RIS-assisted system with an energy-efficient manner.

文摘Thermosyphon loops are widely used in cooling systems.However,such distributed thermal management systems lack the ability to actively control the coolant flow in each parallel branch.An effective method for addressing this is to control the coolant flow in each branch using a solenoid valve.However,the existing valves do not satisfy the requirements for fast switching,low power,low pressure loss,and miniaturization.Therefore,in this study,a low-power-consumption miniature solenoid valve(LMSV)is proposed for use in thermal management systems.The key novelty is that the valve is designed with a suitably sized permanent magnet(PM)to allow the spool to continue working without consuming electrical energy.To achieve low flow resistance,a straight-through design is employed in the valve with the electromagnetic actuator located inside the valve shell.Multiphysical coupling analysis is performed to investigate its performance.The influence of the PM dimensions and current on the magnetic field distribution and electromagnetic force is studied.The effects of these key parameters on the flow field and pressure loss are also analyzed.Because the LMSV is sensitive to temperature,the switching time and energy consumption at different working temperatures are investigated.Experimental test platforms are constructed.A valve switching time of as short as 3 ms,pressure loss of 200 Pa at 0.92 L/min,and energy consumption of approximately 1.55 J during the opening and closing processes are achieved.The novel solenoid valve proposed in this study offers fast switching,low power consumption,low pressure loss,and miniaturization to meet the requirements of thermal management systems.
文摘Subjective well-being is a key indicator of quality of life and a crucial factor for successful aging among older adults.However,few studies have explored the subjective well-being among older adults from the perspective of digital literacy.Therefore,this study explores the relationship between digital literacy and subjective well-being using data on 4270 older adults from the 2020 China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)dataset.PROCESS mediation analysis results indicated digital literacy is associated with higher subjective well-being among the older adults.Digital literacy was associated with the frequency of physical exercise and consumption.Moreover,Digital literacy can also enhance the subjective well-being among older adults by increasing the frequency of physical exercise,and consumption,and a chain mediator subjective well-being.These findings align with the theoretical framework of digital health literacy.Theory which posits that health information obtained through digital literacy can help older adults better engage in healthy lifestyles,thereby enhancing their quality of life.These findings hold significant practical implications for enhancing the subjective well-being among older adults and advancing the development of successful aging.

文摘Phase change absorbents based on amine chemical absorption for CO_(2)capture exhibit energy-saving potential,but generally suffer from difficulties in CO_(2)regeneration.Alcohol,characterized as a protic reagent with a low dielectric constant,can provide free protons to the rich phase of the absorbent,thereby facilitating CO_(2)regeneration.In this investigation,N-aminoethylpiperazine(AEP)/sulfolane/H_(2)O was employed as the liquid-liquid phase change absorbent,with alcohol serving as the regulator.First,appropriate ion pair models were constructed to simulate the solvent effect of the CO_(2)products in different alcohol solutions.The results demonstrated that these ion pair products reached the maximum solvation-free energy(△E_(solvation))in the rich phase containing ethanol(EtOH).Desorption experiment results validated that the inclusion of EtOH led to a maximum regeneration rate of 0.00763 mol/min,thus confirming EtOH’s suitability as the preferred regulator.Quantum chemical calculations and^(13)C NMR characterization were performed,revealing that the addition of EtOH resulted in the partial conversion of AEP-carbamate(AEPCOO−)into a new product known as ethyl carbonate(C_(2)H_(5)OCOO−),which enhanced the regeneration reactivity.In addition,the decomposition paths of different CO_(2)products were simulated visually,and every reaction’s activation energy(△E_(act))was calculated.Remarkably,the△E_(act)for the decomposition of C_(2)H_(5)OCOO−(9.465 kJ/mol)was lower than that of the AEPCOO−(26.163 kJ/mol),implying that CO_(2)was more likely to be released.Finally,the regeneration energy consumption of the alcohol-regulated absorbentwas estimated to be only 1.92 GJ/ton CO_(2),which had excellent energy-saving potential.
文摘The digital economy has injected continuous momentum into the development of urban economy and plays a positive and important role in the transformation and upgrading of urban energy consumption.Specifically,the digital economy can significantly improve the efficiency of urban energy consumption by virtue of its distinctive characteristics of low pollution and high efficiency.Moreover,empowered by the digital economy,the pace of transformation and upgrading of high-pollution traditional industries has been accelerated.Particularly importantly,the urban energy consumption structure has been optimized and adjusted through the indirect role of intermediate factors.From this perspective,studying the current situation and countermeasures of urban energy consumption under the digital economy holds important practical significance both in theory and practice.This paper first briefly summarizes the relevant literature on the impact of the digital economy on the energy consumption structure;then,it focuses on detailed data to explore the current situation of urban energy consumption under the digital economy model;finally,based on the summary of the current situation,it puts forward practical and feasible suggestions,hoping to provide a decision-making basis for the implementation of policies in different types of cities and offer innovative ideas for promoting the high-quality development of urban energy systems.
文摘Total nitrogen(TN)removal is one of the key issues in improving water quality,while the traditional nitrification-denitrification process with its high energy consumption is unsustainable,due to greenhouse gas(GHG)emission.A method using organic-inorganic pellets and selectedmicroalgae that can operate without electricity consumption was designed for TN removal in actual wastewater treatment.The results showed that the TN removal efficiencies with different pellets were 88.2%±2.2%,86.6%±3.0%,85.4%±4.3%,and 82.3%±6.5%,respectively.Microalgae assimilated inorganic nitrogen within cells,resulting in a significant positive relationship with TN(P<0.05),and effectively removed TNthrough sedimentation.The pellets adsorbed nitrogen andmicroorganisms,released organic substances to regulate the ratio of water chemical oxygen demand(COD)to TN,and correspondingly influenced microbial growth.Microalgae and bacteria such as Romboutsia,Proteiniclasticum,and Rhodopseudomonas cooperated to form a mixed aerobic(water)-anaerobic(pellets)environment in the devices,and acted synergistically to remove TN.This study verifies the feasibility of TN removal with only solar energy in a low flow application in large spaces,benefiting carbon neutrality in wastewater treatment.

文摘Objective The relationship between fish consumption and stroke is inconsistent,and it is uncertain whether this association varies across predicted stroke risks.Methods A cohort study comprising 95,800 participants from the Prediction for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk in China project was conducted.A standardized questionnaire was used to collect data on fish consumption.Participants were stratified into low-and moderate-to-high-risk categories based on their 10-year stroke risk prediction scores.Hazard ratios(HRs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)were estimated using Cox proportional hazard models and additive interaction by relative excess risk due to interaction(RERI),attributable proportion(AP),and synergy index(SI).Results During 703,869 person-years of follow-up,2,773 incident stroke events were identified.Higher fish consumption was associated with a lower risk of stroke,particularly among moderate-to-high-risk individuals(HR=0.53,95%CI:0.47-0.60)than among low-risk individuals(HR=0.64,95%CI:0.49-0.85).A significant additive interaction between fish consumption and predicted stroke risk was observed(RERI=4.08,95%CI:2.80-5.36;SI=1.64,95%CI:1.42-1.89;AP=0.36,95%CI:0.28-0.43).Conclusion Higher fish consumption was associated with a lower risk of stroke,and this beneficial association was more pronounced in individuals with moderate-to-high stroke risk.

文摘BACKGROUND Patients who undergo cardiac surgery often face postoperative pain and potential cognitive issues.Multimodal analgesia may address these problems.We hypothesized that multimodal analgesia can reduce opioid use and improve cognitive recovery.AIM To investigate the effects of multimodal analgesia on postoperative opioid consumption and cognitive recovery in patients who underwent cardiac surgery.METHODS A prospective,randomized controlled trial at General Hospital from January 2020 to April 2023 recruited a total of 150 adult patients who underwent elective cardiac surgery.The patients were randomly divided into two groups.Group A had patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with sufentanil and flurbiprofen axil.Group B had flurbiprofen axil and paravertebral nerve block.Data were analyzed with appropriate statistical methods.RESULTS Group B had lower postoperative patient-controlled intravenous analgesia drug consumption(2.21 mL/hour vs 4.26 mL/hour,P<0.001),shorter extubation time(2.32 hours vs 3.81 hours,P<0.001),and intensive care unit stay(15.32 h vs 28.63 h,P<0.001).Visual Analogue Scale pain scores were lower in group B(P<0.001).Group B had fewer postoperative complications(no respiratory depression vs 37.9%in group A,P<0.05),a lower postoperative cognitive dysfunction incidence(16.0%vs 28.0%,P<0.05),and higher Barthel Index scores(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Multimodal analgesia with paravertebral nerve block and flurbiprofen axil reduces opioid use and improves cognitive outcomes in patients who underwent cardiac surgery.
文摘The multiple nuclides identification algorithm with low consumption and strong robustness is crucial for rapid radioactive source searching.This study investigates the design of a low-consumption multiple nuclides identification algorithm for portable gamma spectrometers.First,the gamma spectra of 12 target nuclides(including the background case)were measured to create training datasets.The characteristic energies,obtained through energy calibration and full-energy peak addresses,are utilized as input features for a neural network.A large number of single-and multiple-nuclide training datasets are generated using random combinations and small-range drifting.Subsequently,a multi-label classification neural network based on a binary cross-entropy loss function is applied to export the existence probability of certain nuclides.The designed algorithm effectively reduces the computation time and storage space required by the neural network and has been successfully implemented in a portable gamma spectrometer with a running time of t_(r)<2 s.Results show that,in both validation and actual tests,the identification accuracy of the designed algorithm reaches 94.8%,for gamma spectra with a dose rate of d≈0.5μSv∕h and a measurement time t_(m)=60 s.This improves the ability to perform rapid on-site nuclide identification at important sites.
文摘Objective:Irrational medicine consumption practices increase the country's health expenditures and raise public health concerns,challenging sustainable development in multiple ways.The objective of this study is to identify the key factors influencing irrational medicine consumption and devise a strategic framework to encourage responsible medicine use.Method:A cross-sectional qualitative descriptive design was used.Study data were collected using semi-structured interviews and analysed using thematic analysis to identify the key factors contributing to irrational medicine consumption.Results:Various factors like cyberchondria coupled with health misinformation,inaccessible healthcare,limited product choices,misleading online pharmacies,and infeasible pharmaceutical regulations act as key drivers of irresponsible medicine consumption.The participants recommended enhancing healthcare access,utilizing technology,promoting health literacy,and updating regulations as strategies to improve responsible medicine use.Against this backdrop,the study proposes a double helix model for responsible consumption of medicines through bilateral efforts from both consumers and the health system.Conclusion:Highlighting the importance of responsible consumption,this paper calls health system actors to action to accelerate the efforts to foster responsible consumption of medicines.
