Specially, to determine the working set...In this paper, we propose a feasible QP-free method for solving nonlinear inequality constrained optimization problems. A new working set is proposed to estimate the active set. Specially, to determine the working set, the new method makes use of the multiplier information from the previous iteration, eliminating the need to compute a multiplier function. At each iteration, two or three reduced symmetric systems of linear equations with a common coefficient matrix involving only constraints in the working set are solved, and when the iterate is sufficiently close to a KKT point, only two of them are involved. Moreover, the new algorithm is proved to be globally convergent to a KKT point under mild conditions. Without assuming the strict complementarity, the convergence rate is superlinear under a condition weaker than the strong second-order sufficiency condition. Numerical experiments illustrate the efficiency of the algorithm.展开更多
Based on measured natural frequencies and acceleration responses,a non-probabilistic information fusion technique is proposed for the structural damage detection by adopting the set-membership identification(SMI) an...Based on measured natural frequencies and acceleration responses,a non-probabilistic information fusion technique is proposed for the structural damage detection by adopting the set-membership identification(SMI) and twostep model updating procedure.Due to the insufficiency and uncertainty of information obtained from measurements,the uncertain problem of damage identification is addressed with interval variables in this paper.Based on the first-order Taylor series expansion,the interval bounds of the elemental stiffness parameters in undamaged and damaged models are estimated,respectively.The possibility of damage existence(PoDE) in elements is proposed as the quantitative measure of structural damage probability,which is more reasonable in the condition of insufficient measurement data.In comparison with the identification method based on a single kind of information,the SMI method will improve the accuracy in damage identification,which reflects the information fusion concept based on the non-probabilistic set.A numerical example is performed to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed technique.展开更多

The evolution of the spectra is shown from the initial P...We present near-infrared spectroscopic and photometric observations of nova V5584 Sgr taken during the first 12 d following its discovery on Oct. 26.439 UT2009. The evolution of the spectra is shown from the initial P Cygni phase to an emission line phase. The prominent carbon lines seen in the JHK spectra closely match those observed in an Fe II class nova outburst. The spectra show first-overtone CO bands in emission between 2.29-2.40 μm. By examining WISE and other publicly available data, we show that the nova underwent a pronounced dust formation phase between February- April 2010.展开更多
This paper proposes a novel intelligent fault detection method,i.e.,combining the subspace identification technique(SIT)with the data-model interactive compensation mechanism for fault detection.More precisely,the des...This paper proposes a novel intelligent fault detection method,i.e.,combining the subspace identification technique(SIT)with the data-model interactive compensation mechanism for fault detection.More precisely,the design process is divided into two primary stages:offline learning process and real-time fault monitoring.In the offline learning phase,the fault isolation algorithm is employed,along with parameter identification using the subspace identification technique.Then the online data undergo normalization processing and are subjected to online fault detection using a trained offline model.In addition,considering the accuracy of fault detection,this paper designs the dynamic optimal threshold based on the fault detection rate(FDR)and the false alarm rate(FAR).In the end,the case studies on PT700 and Tennessee Eastman(TE)process data are provided to confirm that the proposed method achieves the fault detection objectives.展开更多
