BACKGROUND Intimate partner violence(IPV)is a major public health concern linked to psychiatric and physical morbidity.However,evidence from East Asia,particularly from registry-based and sex-inclusive analyses,remain...BACKGROUND Intimate partner violence(IPV)is a major public health concern linked to psychiatric and physical morbidity.However,evidence from East Asia,particularly from registry-based and sex-inclusive analyses,remains limited.We hypothesized that IPV survivors would have elevated risks of psychiatric disorders and stressrelated physical conditions.AIM To assess psychiatric and physical health risks following IPV exposure in Taiwan.METHODS We conducted a nationwide,registry-based case control study using data from Taiwan’s Health and Welfare Data Science Center.Adults aged 18-64 years with a first IPV report in 2019(n=43393)were matched 1:1 by sex and age to controls.Incident diagnoses within 1 year were identified from claims data.Conditional logistic regression was used to estimate adjusted odds ratios(AORs).RESULTS Compared to controls,IPV survivors had higher risks of depressive disorders[AOR=4.18,95%confidence interval(CI):3.78-4.60,P<0.001],bipolar disorder(AOR=4.81,95%CI:3.83-6.10,P<0.001),schizophrenia(AOR=1.75,95%CI:1.46-2.10,P<0.001),and alcohol/substance use disorders(AOR=5.98,95%CI:2.21-8.50,P<0.001).The risk of asthma was modestly elevated(AOR=1.31,95%CI:1.08-1.60,P=0.006).No significant association was observed for irritable bowel syndrome(P=0.94).CONCLUSION IPV survivors in Taiwan face substantially increased psychiatric risk and a modestly elevated risk of asthma,warranting early screening and integrated mental and physical health care.展开更多

However, its widespreadadoption raises concerns regarding structural alterations in the radial artery,which may impact long-term vascular health and future procedural feasibility.TRA is associated with histopathologic changes in the arterial wall, such asintimal injury and hyperplasia, medial remodeling and adventitial inflammation,collectively contributing to radial artery remodeling. Moreover, TRA can inducechanges in radial artery lumen diameter driven by an inflammatory response dueto arterial puncture and mechanical friction during the procedure. Nonetheless, amore clinically significant consequence is radial artery occlusion, which is influencedby various procedural and patient-related factors. Strategies to minimizeremodeling include meticulous pre-procedural ultrasound assessment to ensureappropriate sheath-to-artery size matching, periprocedural pharmacologicalinterventions and implementation of patent hemostasis techniques. This reviewsynthesizes current knowledge regarding the mechanisms, clinical implications,and preventive strategies related to radial artery remodeling following TRA. The growing presence of emerging pollutants in the environment has led to a focus on developing new treatment technologies to address the limitations of traditional methods.Recent advancements in combining photocataly...The growing presence of emerging pollutants in the environment has led to a focus on developing new treatment technologies to address the limitations of traditional methods.Recent advancements in combining photocatalysis with biodegradation for pollutant treatment have garnered significant attention.This is due to the rapid and uncontrolled chemical reactions in single photocatalytic processes,which often result in the buildup of harmful by-products and over-oxidation residues.Additionally,relying solely on biodegradation is challenging for breaking down emerging pollutants that possess high concentrations and intricate structures.Therefore,the intimately coupled photocatalysis and biodegradation(ICPB)systems,along with the photocatalytic microbial fuel cells(PMFCs),as a new approach to treat pollutants.These systems combine the benefits of biodegradation and photocatalytic reactions,providing cost-effective,eco-friendly,and sustainable solutions with significant promise.In order to demonstrate the ICPB system and the PMFCs system as rational options for pollutant removal,the mechanisms of pollutant degradation by the two systems have been analyzed in depth,and recent advances in photocatalysts,biofilms,and carriers/configurations in the two systems have been summarized.Furthermore,the practical applications of the ICPB system versus the PMFCs system for pollutant removal are also summarized and highlighted.This review further points out the current limitations,such as photocatalytic materials that are still challenging in terms of commercial viability for practical applications,and looks forward to the prospects of the ICPB system versus the PMFCs system for the treatment of pollutants to promote practical applications.展开更多

Objective:Intimate partner violence(IPV)among people living with the human immune deficiency virus(PLHIV)poses a significant threat to efforts to reduce the spread of human immune deficiency virus(HIV)and achieve the ...Objective:Intimate partner violence(IPV)among people living with the human immune deficiency virus(PLHIV)poses a significant threat to efforts to reduce the spread of human immune deficiency virus(HIV)and achieve the sustainable development goals.In Ghana,scholarly research on the forms and prevalence of IPV is available,however knowledge of the prevalence of IPV among PLHIV is limited.To understand the prevalence of IPV among PLHIV and the intersectional factors that contribute to it,this study examined the overall prevalence of IPV among PLHIV and the associated sociodemographic factors across ten regions of Ghana.Methods:We administered face-to-face survey questionnaires to 661 randomly selected antiretroviral therapy(ART)clients using Research Electronic Data Capture tools.We used descriptive statistics(mean,standard deviation,minimum,and maximum),pairwise correlation,and multivariate regression analysis to look at the data.Results:The clients of ART experienced various forms of IPV,including sexual,physical,emotional,and economic violence and controlling behaviour.The overall prevalence of IPV among PLHIV was 27.5%.This result,although on par with the global IPV average(27%),is 1.5%higher than the national rate(26%).The Upper West Region had the highest prevalence in all the categories of IPV analysed,followed by Oti Region in second place and the Upper East Region in third,except for the prevalence of sexual violence,where Greater Accra Region ranks second.In specific regions of Ghana,sociodemographic factors shaped by patriarchal and economic considerations contribute to a higher prevalence of IPV among people living with HIV.Conclusion:The findings have implications for developing policies and interventions that address the specific factors associated with HIV-induced IPV in different regions of Ghana.These interventions should also include screening PLHIV receiving ART for their IPV status regardless of gender and deploying culturally appropriate education at the community level to foster empathy towards intimate partners living with HIV.展开更多

In this paper, the well-defined one-dimensional(1D) core–shell MnO_(2)@CdS hybrids were constructed by employing MnO_(2) nanotubes and CdS nanoparticles as nano-building blocks via a chemical coprecipitation route. The rationally designed core–shell structure provided an intimate heterojunction interface between the CdS shell and MnO_(2) core. All the MnO_(2)@CdS core–shell nanocomposites possess higher H_(2) evolution rate through visible light irradiation contrary to pristine CdS, and the optimal MnO_(2)@CdS hybrid exhibits the utmost H_(2) evolution rate of 3.94 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1), which is2.8-fold higher compared with that of CdS. Appertaining to XPS and Mott-Schottky(M-S) analysis, such enhanced photocatalytic H_(2) generation of MnO_(2)@CdS heterojunction was ascribed to an S-scheme mechanism, which suppressed the charge recombination along with a fast detachment of electron–hole pairs(e^(-)–h^(+)) and significantly improved the severance of carriers, thus improved H_(2) evolution performance. Photocatalytic CO_(2)conversion efficiency is hampered by the rapid recombination of photogenerated charge carriers.It is effective to suppress the recombination by constructing cocatalysts on photocatalysts with high...Photocatalytic CO_(2)conversion efficiency is hampered by the rapid recombination of photogenerated charge carriers.It is effective to suppress the recombination by constructing cocatalysts on photocatalysts with high-quality interfacial contact.Herein,we develop a novel strategy to in-situ grow ultrathin/V-doped graphene(NG)layer on TiO_(2) hollow spheres(HS) with large area and intimate interfacial contact via a chemical vapor deposition(CVD).The optimized TiO^(2)/NG HS nanocomposite achieves total CO_(2)conversion rates(the sum yield of CO,CH_(3)OH and CH_(4))of 18.11μmol·g^(-1)h^(-1),which is about 4.6 times higher than blank T1O_(2)HS.Experimental results demonstrate that intimate interfacial contact and abundant pyridinic N sites can effectively facilitate photogenerated charge carrier separation and transport,realizing enhanced photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction performance.In addition,this work provides an effective strategy for in-situ construction of graphene-based photocatalysts for highly efficient photocatalytic CO_(2)conversion.展开更多
A solid-state sodium metal battery has cut a striking figure in next-generation large-scale energy storage technology on account of high safety,high energy density,and low cost.Nevertheless,the large interfacial resis...A solid-state sodium metal battery has cut a striking figure in next-generation large-scale energy storage technology on account of high safety,high energy density,and low cost.Nevertheless,the large interfacial resistance and sodium dendrite growth originating from the poor interface contact seriously hinder its practical application.Herein,a modified ultrasound welding was proposed to atomically bond Na anodes and Au-metalized Na_(3)Zr_(2)Si_(2)PO_(12) electrolytes associated with the in situ formation of Na–Au alloy interlayers.Thereupon,intimate Na_(3)Zr_(2)Si_(2)PO_(12)-Au/Na interfaces with a low interfacial resistance(~23Ωcm^(2))and a strong dendrite inhibition ability were constructed.The optimized Na symmetric battery can cycle steadily for more than 900 h at 0.3 mA cm^(-2) under a low overpotential(<50 mV)of Na electroplating/stripping and deliver a high critical current density of 0.8 mAcm^(-2) at room temperature.By incorporating the above interface into the solid-state Na metal battery,taking three-dimensional Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) as the cathode,the full battery offers a high energy density of 291 Wh kg^(-1) at a high power density of 1860Wkg^(-1).A pouch-type solid-state sodium metal full battery based on a ceramic electrolyte was assembled for the first time,and it lit a 3 V LED lamp.Such a strategy of the ultrasound welding metalized solid-state electrolyte/Na interface by engineering the Na-Au interlayer would pave a new pathway to engineer a low-resistance and highly stable interface for high-energy/density solid-state sodium metal batteries.展开更多

Materials and Methods: The ascending aorta was morphologically assessed in a consecutive series of p...Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the morphological characteristics of ascending aortic dissection in detail. Materials and Methods: The ascending aorta was morphologically assessed in a consecutive series of patients between January 2009 and October 2014. A new assessment and evaluation method was used to describe 114 patients with ascending aortic dissection. Results: A large difference was found in the degree of curvature between the ascending aorta with and without dissection. The shape of the former was straighter and steeper(control group R, 47.46 ± 6.40 mm; experimental group R, 59.70 ± 10.27 mm, P < 0.001). In the case of aortic dissection involving the valves, the proximal edge of the first entry was obviously close to the aortic sinus. The orientation of the entries was mainly around the 10 o'clock and 1–2 o'clock positions, and most of their shapes were fusiform(111; 70.02%). The distance of the distal extending dissection was associated with cases involving the branch arteries(involving three branches 441.40 ± 101.13 mm vs 159.85 ± 131.86 mm in others, P < 0.001). Conclusion: The morphological features of the ascending aorta after dissection and the correlations among dissections, entries, and related factors were found.展开更多
BACKGROUND Stroke patients often experience psychological distress,which can impact their intimate relationships with spouses,subsequently influencing their treatment and recovery.Physical activity is considered a key...BACKGROUND Stroke patients often experience psychological distress,which can impact their intimate relationships with spouses,subsequently influencing their treatment and recovery.Physical activity is considered a key rehabilitation method for stroke patients.This paper aims to analyze whether psychological distress affects intimate relationship between spouses through physical activity.AIM To explore the mediating effect of physical activity between psychological distress and intimate relationship in stroke patients.METHODS A total of 256 stroke patients who underwent treatment at the First People’s Hospital of Shangqiu between July 2021 and July 2022 were enrolled in this study.The participants completed questionnaires,including the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale(K10),the Quality of Relationship Index(QRI),International Physical Activity Questionnaire,and a general information questionnaire.Data analysis were performed using SPSS 23.0.The Harman test was employed to detect common method deviations,and Spearman correlation was used for correlation analysis.The mediating effect was assessed using Process 3.4.1,with significance testing of the regression coefficients conducted using the bias-corrected percentile Bootstrap method(5000 iterations,95%confidence interval).Statistical significance was set at P<0.05.RESULTS The results showed that patients scored an average of 21.61±6.44 points on the K10,32.40±6.19 points on the QRI;the median physical activity level according to the International Physical Activity Questionnaire was 1861(566,2846)MET·min/w.The level of physical activity(the physical activity intensity of the patients reflected by the Interna-tional Physical Activity Questionnaire-Long Form scale)negatively correlated with psychological distress and intimacy(P<0.05),and positively correlated with each other(P<0.05),with the correlation stronger at lower physical activity levels compared to higher ones.The mediating effect of physical activity between psychological distress and intimate relationship was calculated to be 40.23%.Bootstrap analysis further validated the results.The mediating effect of psychological distress on intimate relationships through physical activity level was-0.284,with a confidence interval of-0.409 to-0.163,excluding 0,confirming a significant mediating effect of psychological distress on intimate relationships.CONCLUSION Physical activity significantly affects relationship between psychological distress and intimate relationships among stroke patients.Addressing the role of physical activity may have implications for improving patient outcomes and rehabilitation strategies.展开更多

文摘Preparation of efficient photocatalysts with ease of recovery in solar fuel generation is highly desired to achieve carbon neutralization in carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions.Inspired from the forest with superior light penetration and fast gas transport,a TiO_(2)/g-C_(3)N_(4)composite nanowire arrays(NAs)film with maximized light utilization is devised.It is achieved by in-situ coating a thin layer of g-C_(3)N_(4)(as the leaf)on the vertically-oriented TiO_(2)arrays(as tree trunks)on Ti foil(as soil).Benefiting from the effective charge separation by S-scheme charge transfer,intimate contact by the in-situ growth as well as the ingenious structure,the composite,readily recyclable,displays exciting performance in photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction.It is beyond doubt that the combination of heterojunction construction and“nature-inspired biomimetic photocatalyst”design promises practical applications and industrial use.
文摘Photocatalytic CO_(2)conversion efficiency is hampered by the rapid recombination of photogenerated charge carriers.It is effective to suppress the recombination by constructing cocatalysts on photocatalysts with high-quality interfacial contact.Herein,we develop a novel strategy to in-situ grow ultrathin/V-doped graphene(NG)layer on TiO_(2) hollow spheres(HS) with large area and intimate interfacial contact via a chemical vapor deposition(CVD).The optimized TiO^(2)/NG HS nanocomposite achieves total CO_(2)conversion rates(the sum yield of CO,CH_(3)OH and CH_(4))of 18.11μmol·g^(-1)h^(-1),which is about 4.6 times higher than blank T1O_(2)HS.Experimental results demonstrate that intimate interfacial contact and abundant pyridinic N sites can effectively facilitate photogenerated charge carrier separation and transport,realizing enhanced photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction performance.In addition,this work provides an effective strategy for in-situ construction of graphene-based photocatalysts for highly efficient photocatalytic CO_(2)conversion.

文摘A solid-state sodium metal battery has cut a striking figure in next-generation large-scale energy storage technology on account of high safety,high energy density,and low cost.Nevertheless,the large interfacial resistance and sodium dendrite growth originating from the poor interface contact seriously hinder its practical application.Herein,a modified ultrasound welding was proposed to atomically bond Na anodes and Au-metalized Na_(3)Zr_(2)Si_(2)PO_(12) electrolytes associated with the in situ formation of Na–Au alloy interlayers.Thereupon,intimate Na_(3)Zr_(2)Si_(2)PO_(12)-Au/Na interfaces with a low interfacial resistance(~23Ωcm^(2))and a strong dendrite inhibition ability were constructed.The optimized Na symmetric battery can cycle steadily for more than 900 h at 0.3 mA cm^(-2) under a low overpotential(<50 mV)of Na electroplating/stripping and deliver a high critical current density of 0.8 mAcm^(-2) at room temperature.By incorporating the above interface into the solid-state Na metal battery,taking three-dimensional Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) as the cathode,the full battery offers a high energy density of 291 Wh kg^(-1) at a high power density of 1860Wkg^(-1).A pouch-type solid-state sodium metal full battery based on a ceramic electrolyte was assembled for the first time,and it lit a 3 V LED lamp.Such a strategy of the ultrasound welding metalized solid-state electrolyte/Na interface by engineering the Na-Au interlayer would pave a new pathway to engineer a low-resistance and highly stable interface for high-energy/density solid-state sodium metal batteries.
文摘Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the morphological characteristics of ascending aortic dissection in detail. Materials and Methods: The ascending aorta was morphologically assessed in a consecutive series of patients between January 2009 and October 2014. A new assessment and evaluation method was used to describe 114 patients with ascending aortic dissection. Results: A large difference was found in the degree of curvature between the ascending aorta with and without dissection. The shape of the former was straighter and steeper(control group R, 47.46 ± 6.40 mm; experimental group R, 59.70 ± 10.27 mm, P < 0.001). In the case of aortic dissection involving the valves, the proximal edge of the first entry was obviously close to the aortic sinus. The orientation of the entries was mainly around the 10 o'clock and 1–2 o'clock positions, and most of their shapes were fusiform(111; 70.02%). The distance of the distal extending dissection was associated with cases involving the branch arteries(involving three branches 441.40 ± 101.13 mm vs 159.85 ± 131.86 mm in others, P < 0.001). Conclusion: The morphological features of the ascending aorta after dissection and the correlations among dissections, entries, and related factors were found.

文摘BACKGROUND Stroke patients often experience psychological distress,which can impact their intimate relationships with spouses,subsequently influencing their treatment and recovery.Physical activity is considered a key rehabilitation method for stroke patients.This paper aims to analyze whether psychological distress affects intimate relationship between spouses through physical activity.AIM To explore the mediating effect of physical activity between psychological distress and intimate relationship in stroke patients.METHODS A total of 256 stroke patients who underwent treatment at the First People’s Hospital of Shangqiu between July 2021 and July 2022 were enrolled in this study.The participants completed questionnaires,including the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale(K10),the Quality of Relationship Index(QRI),International Physical Activity Questionnaire,and a general information questionnaire.Data analysis were performed using SPSS 23.0.The Harman test was employed to detect common method deviations,and Spearman correlation was used for correlation analysis.The mediating effect was assessed using Process 3.4.1,with significance testing of the regression coefficients conducted using the bias-corrected percentile Bootstrap method(5000 iterations,95%confidence interval).Statistical significance was set at P<0.05.RESULTS The results showed that patients scored an average of 21.61±6.44 points on the K10,32.40±6.19 points on the QRI;the median physical activity level according to the International Physical Activity Questionnaire was 1861(566,2846)MET·min/w.The level of physical activity(the physical activity intensity of the patients reflected by the Interna-tional Physical Activity Questionnaire-Long Form scale)negatively correlated with psychological distress and intimacy(P<0.05),and positively correlated with each other(P<0.05),with the correlation stronger at lower physical activity levels compared to higher ones.The mediating effect of physical activity between psychological distress and intimate relationship was calculated to be 40.23%.Bootstrap analysis further validated the results.The mediating effect of psychological distress on intimate relationships through physical activity level was-0.284,with a confidence interval of-0.409 to-0.163,excluding 0,confirming a significant mediating effect of psychological distress on intimate relationships.CONCLUSION Physical activity significantly affects relationship between psychological distress and intimate relationships among stroke patients.Addressing the role of physical activity may have implications for improving patient outcomes and rehabilitation strategies.
