Whistleblowing can be an effective fraud detection mechanism if a person decided to whistleblow on the wrongdoings of other employees. In reality, however, individuals who are aware of unlawful activity of his or her peer group members would face a challenging dilemma if the company or organizations they are working with do not have a sound whistleblowing policy to ensure the confidentiality of whistleblower. Knowing the factors that could influence their whistleblowing judgement and intention would be an interesting topic to be studied. The present study attempts to discuss on factors which would influence whistleblowing intention on staffs from selected public sector organizations in Malaysia. These factors include three individual level factors of ethical ideology (idealism and relativism), personality traits (conscientiousness, openness to experience, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism), and whistleblowing judgment, all with regards to peer reporting. By exploring the topic from an autoethnographic perspective, the researcher describes how his transnational learning and teaching experience informed his perception of language ideological changes in English curriculum development. The researcher's lived experiences from China to the United States witness how English curriculum develops in an ideological continuum from functional ideology to critical ideology, with cultural ideology and progressive ideology existing between the two extremes. The author then concluded: While language ideology has evolved from stage to stage, due to effects of factors like student acceptance and political ideology, English curriculum in China is still dominated by functional ideology. This research was carried out to determine which ideology teachers are closer to,by evaluating teachers’opinions on curriculum in terms of the"scholar academic ideology,"social efficiency ideology",&qu...This research was carried out to determine which ideology teachers are closer to,by evaluating teachers’opinions on curriculum in terms of the"scholar academic ideology,"social efficiency ideology","learner-centered ideology",and"social reconstruction ideology".It is a qualitative research.The sample of the research consists of 15 teachers working in primary,secondary,and high schools.The research data were obtained from nine open-ended questions supported by sub-questions added to each.It has been observed that the teachers define the purpose of education,the source of knowledge,the definition of learning,the purpose of teaching,the purpose of student assessment,the evaluation of the program,the understanding of formative and summative evaluation of curriculum according to the"social efficiency ideology"from Schiro’s ideological classification.Teachers have also defined the source of knowledge,the definition of learning,and the purpose of teaching and student assessment according to"scholar academic ideology".In the results of the research,it was seen that the opinions of the teachers were influenced,albeit slightly,by the"learner-centered ideology"in evaluating students and determining the needs of the program.In light of these results,it is evident that teachers’philosophical opinions need to be strengthened.展开更多

This study examines the impact of political polarization on youth engagement in Brazil,focusing on the intersection of historical legacies,cultural dynamics,and modern political influences.Tracing the evolution of pol...This study examines the impact of political polarization on youth engagement in Brazil,focusing on the intersection of historical legacies,cultural dynamics,and modern political influences.Tracing the evolution of polarization from the military dictatorship era to contemporary politics under Jair Bolsonaro,the study explores how polarized rhetoric,misinformation,and digital media have reshaped the political landscape for young Brazilians.Data for the study were collected through a survey of 159 college students aged 18-25 from public and private institutions across Brazil,complemented by 10 interviews with youth activists and party leaders from the Workers’Party(PT)and the Liberal Party(PL).These methods aimed to evaluate how polarization affects young people’s beliefs,political identities,behaviors,engagement levels,and ability to participate in constructive political discourse.The findings reveal that while polarization fosters hostility and deepens ideological divides,it also inspires youth activism by creating a sense of identity and belonging.Education,digital information channels,and the lack of representation in leadership roles emerge as key factors shaping youth engagement.Despite challenges,the research underscores hope:young Brazilians display resilience,critical awareness,and a shared desire for accountability and inclusivity.This study highlights the potential of youth to bridge divides and lead Brazil toward a more collaborative and democratic future.展开更多

文摘Deeply exploring the ideological and political elements of various courses in universities and integrating ideological and political education into the entire teaching process is the development trend of ideological and political education in universities under the new situation.Investment has strong characteristics of modernity,practicality,universality,and interest,which naturally give this professional course advantages in carrying out ideological and political practices and make it easy to form a broad consensus on ideological and political concepts.This article combines the characteristics of the investment course,guided by the ideological and political teaching goals of the investment course,and fully utilizes various teaching modes to explore and integrate ideological and political elements into the investment course.Finally,it evaluates the ideological and political teaching of the investment course,aiming to improve the quality of ideological and political teaching and achieve comprehensive education for all students throughout the entire process.

文摘The Report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China explicitly emphasized the promotion of educational digitalization.The rapid development of new media in the era of network information has not only broadened the horizons of college students but also profoundly transformed the content and methods of ideological and political education.As the frontline of ideological work,colleges and universities in Xinjiang are guided by the Party’s strategy for governing Xinjiang in the new era to advance network ideological and political education.This is of great significance in guiding students to develop correct network literacy and promoting ideological and political education to keep pace with the times.Through methods such as text analysis,questionnaire surveys,and interviews,this paper outlines the concept,characteristics,and value of network ideological and political education in colleges and universities in Xinjiang,analyzes its current development status and existing issues,and proposes optimization paths such as adhering to correct political guidance,highlighting regional characteristics,innovating educational methods,and strengthening subject construction.These efforts aim to fulfill the fundamental task of“cultivating talents with moral integrity”and serve the overall goal of social stability and long-term peace in Xinjiang.

文摘In the context of modern holistic education,integrating“ideological and political education”into specialized courses is a new requirement for professional teaching.In order to seamlessly integrate ideological education into academic disciplines through subtle influence,it is essential to identify and design suitable ideological elements.Based on the interdisciplinary nature of chemical engineering curricula,this paper focuses on core socialist values,patriotic sentiment,professional ethics,and the spirit of scientific innovation.It identifies key ideological elements such as“a strong chemical industry makes a strong nation”and“patriotism and maritime power,”analyzes their manifestations of value,and explores their relevance and significance in ideological education across different chemical engineering courses.

文摘This paper focuses on the ideological and political construction of the“Introduction to High-Speed Railway”course in higher vocational colleges.Based on the national policy orientation of ideological and political education in courses and the talent demands of the high-speed railway industry,it comprehensively employs methods such as literature research and questionnaire surveys to analyze the current status and problems of ideological and political construction in the course.The research finds that there are issues such as insufficient in-depth exploration of ideological and political elements,inadequate teacher capabilities,monotonous teaching methods,and the absence of an evaluation system.In response to these problems,it proposes strategies such as deepening the exploration of ideological and political elements,enhancing teacher capabilities,innovating teaching methods,and improving the evaluation system.It aims to construct a collaborative system of“knowledge impartation+value guidance+practical education”,providing theoretical and practical references for the ideological and political construction of courses in higher vocational transportation-related majors.

文摘After the middle of the Ming Dynasty,along with the rapid social changes,the ideological trend of practical studies guided by the reflection and criticism of the Cheng-Zhu Neo-Confucianism of“putting books on the shelf and not reading,exploring and studying without foundation”profoundly,widely,and comprehensively,affected every aspect of literary life.Influenced by this,selecting ancient proses in the Tianqi and Chongzhen periods developed new characteristics in three aspects:the purpose of selecting,the preferences of selecting,and the path of evaluating.As far as the purpose of selection is concerned,there is a new trend that the ancient writers of Tianqi and Chongzhen take the enlightenment and the world as the purpose of selection,and are no longer confined to the stereotypes of selecting articles for articles and selecting articles for their emotions.A large number of articles reflecting the economy and people’s livelihood,military affairs,and politics have been included in the anthology horizon of the anthology,thus expanding the selection types of ancient Chinese anthology.From the point of view of comments,the comments of Tianqi and Chongzhen ancient prose appear to be“especially today”.The merit of the ancient prose of management and government and the application of the world can replace the layout of the text,words,and rhetoric,and become the value of the selection of home evaluation.
文摘The Larry Nassar scandal at Michigan State University is the worst and most widespread case of childhood sex abuse in this nation’s history to date,affecting over 150 young girls and women.This article asks:What were the structural and ideological mechanisms,policies,and practices that enabled this widespread abuse over a thirty-year period?Louis Althusser’s Marxist theory of Ideological State Apparatuses(and feminist responses to this theory)is useful in explaining how state-making institutions-media outlets,universities,athletic organizations,and family units-are not only produced and reproduced along class lines,but also with respect to gendered power dynamics.By examining the patriarchal nature of ISAs,one can begin to understand how Larry Nassar was for so long shielded from suspicion and criminal prosecution by the institutions that employed him.
文摘This study examines the impact of political polarization on youth engagement in Brazil,focusing on the intersection of historical legacies,cultural dynamics,and modern political influences.Tracing the evolution of polarization from the military dictatorship era to contemporary politics under Jair Bolsonaro,the study explores how polarized rhetoric,misinformation,and digital media have reshaped the political landscape for young Brazilians.Data for the study were collected through a survey of 159 college students aged 18-25 from public and private institutions across Brazil,complemented by 10 interviews with youth activists and party leaders from the Workers’Party(PT)and the Liberal Party(PL).These methods aimed to evaluate how polarization affects young people’s beliefs,political identities,behaviors,engagement levels,and ability to participate in constructive political discourse.The findings reveal that while polarization fosters hostility and deepens ideological divides,it also inspires youth activism by creating a sense of identity and belonging.Education,digital information channels,and the lack of representation in leadership roles emerge as key factors shaping youth engagement.Despite challenges,the research underscores hope:young Brazilians display resilience,critical awareness,and a shared desire for accountability and inclusivity.This study highlights the potential of youth to bridge divides and lead Brazil toward a more collaborative and democratic future.
文摘This study took the teaching practice of food-related majors in Chengdu University,a representative applied institution in China,as an example.Aligning with the course characteristics and educational objectives of Functional Foods,it introduced the features of the BOPPPS teaching model and its implementation in course design.By incorporating research cases and presenting teaching examples,the steps and methods of BOPPPS-based teaching reform were explored while incorporating ideological and political elements into specialized instruction.This study provides insights and references for reforming other food-related courses and contributes to cultivating more food professionals with practical awareness and critical thinking.
