They were randomly divided into experimental group(n = 78) and control group(n = 77) according to a random number table. The treatment lasted for a period of 28 d. The experimental group was given Jinying capsules and oral levofloxacin plus oral metronidazole for first 7 d.They continued with Jinying capsules and levofloxacin placebo and metronidazole placebo for another 7 d. For the remaining 14 d, they continued with Jinying capsules only. Whereas, the control group was treated with oral levofloxacin and metronidazole and Jinying capsule placebo for the first 14 d in the same way as the experimental group and then continued with Jinying capsule placebo only for the remaining 14 d. The clinical efficacy was assessed using McCormack scale, TCM symptom pattern scores, physicochemical indexes including white blood cell and erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reaction protein, smear of vaginal discharge, and pelvic ultrasound.RESULTS: Comparing McCormack scale between both groups after treatment, the difference in curative effect between both groups was significant (P = 0.0269). The cure rate of the experimental group and control group is 76.32% and 59.46% respectively at week 4. Comparing TCM symptom pattern scores between both groups before and after treatment, the differences in total effective rate were both significant(P < 0.05). The curative effect rate of experimental group is 2.63% and 13.70% of the control group at week 1(P = 0.0131), and73.33% of the experimental group and 56.94% of the control group at week 4(P = 0.0369). No significant differences were found between the two groups on the Physicochemical indexes(all P >0.05). No adverse events or reactions occurred in the experimental groups.CONCLUSION: Jinying capsule can reduce the dosage of antibiotics needed for PID treatment, and improve the symptoms in PID patients.展开更多

This paper outlines the steps for validating a biological method of analysis. It involves the construction of an experimental design, a statistical model, and the preparation of an interne laboratory reference material (pilot vaccine). The latter is used to study the impact of deviation and variation factors, in order to, optimize the analytical method, to evaluate the bias (random error), and to calculate the uncertainty of measurement, and make the control charts. This method is applied in the titration of live viral vaccines of Gumboro disease on chicken's embryos fibroblasts. The experimental results show that potential influence factors related to the titration method had no significant influence on the obtained results. Taking into account these results, an operating mode has been elaborated. The finalized method proved to be faithful to standard deviation of repeatability and reproducibility of 0.21 and 0.22, respectively, with a confidence level of 95%. The calculated uncertainty of measurement is equal to 0.2, which represents the average error level of a titer. A homogeneous stock of interne laboratory reference vaccine (MRIL), with an average titer of 5.9 log DIT 50, was produced and the control chart set in away to provide the laboratory with an important tool of control and monitoring of the viral titers evolution in time, as well as, the mastery of the validated titration method performances.展开更多

These findings were then related to control of ventilation and gas exchange. A secondary objective was to assess respiratory muscle strength and gas exchange and their relation to respiratory mechanics. Methods: Measurements included respiratory elastance and resistance using the passive relaxation method. Pulmonary function, gas exchange and control of ventilation were assessed using standard methods. Results: a) Compared to control subjects, Ers in patients with liver disease was on average 50% greater than in controls;b) mean respiratory resistance, expressed as the respiratory constants, K1 and K2 in the Rohrer relationship, Pao/V’ = K1 + K2V’, was not different from control resistance;c) mean maximal inspiratory and maximal expiratory pressures averaged 36% and 55% of their respective control values;d) inspiratory occlusion pressure in 0.1 sec (P0.1) was increased and negatively associated with FVC;and e) increases in P0.1, mean inspiratory flow (Vt/Ti) and presence of respiratory alkalosis confirmed the increase in ventilatory drive. Despite inspiratory muscle weakness in patients, P0.1/Pimax averaged 5-fold higher than in control subjects. Conclusions: Despite inspiratory muscle weakness and a V’E similar to that in normal subjects, central drive is increased in patients with chronic liver disease. The increase in ventilatory drive is related to smaller lung volumes and weakly associated with increase in respiratory elastance. Findings confirm that P0.1 is a reliable measure of central drive and is an approach that can be used in the evaluation of control of ventilation in patients with chronic liver disease.展开更多

Our countrys highway asphalt pavement is also facing some problems and challenges. At present, the service life of some highways in China may not meet the requirements of design life, and the initial damage will often occur within 1-3 years after the completion of the highways. Therefore, we must attach great importance to the analysis of the disease mechanism of highway asphalt pavement, so as to formulate effective prevention methods, which is conducive to the construction, development, management and maintenance of highway construction.展开更多
