User behavior prediction has become a core element to Internet of Things(IoT)and received promising attention in the related fields.Many existing IoT systems(e.g.smart home systems)have been deployed various sensors and the user’s behavior can be predicted through the sensor data.However,most of the existing sensor-based systems use the annotated behavior data which requires human intervention to achieve the behavior prediction.Therefore,it is a challenge to provide an automatic behavior prediction model based on the original sensor data.To solve the problem,this paper proposed a novel automatic annotated user behavior prediction(AAUBP)model.The proposed AAUBP model combined the Discontinuous Solving Order Sequence Mining(DVSM)behavior recognition model and behavior prediction model based on the Long Short Term Memory(LSTM)network.To evaluate the model,we performed several experiments on a real-world dataset tuning the parameters.The results showed that the AAUBP model can effectively recognize behaviors and had a good performance for behavior prediction. 展开更多

In this paper, a short survey of privacy and security in the more broad smart-world context is first presented. The main contribution is then to analyze and rank attack vectors or entry points into a smart home system and propose solutions to remedy or diminish the risk of compromised security or privacy. Further, the usability impacts resulting from the proposed solutions are evaluated. The smart home system used for the analysis in this paper is a digital- STROM installation, a home-automation solution that is quickly gaining popularity in central Europe, the findings, however, aim to be as solution independent as possible. 展开更多

The program is highly scalable and cost-effective. This paper developed the home server-side application based on MFC technology and the mobile terminal application. The mobile client can remotely control home devices and query the running state, electric energy information and historical data of home devices. At the same time, the home server-side application can store electric energy information and electricity consumption of home devices. Combined with household distributed photovoltaic generation system, the system can be applied to home energy management system. Through running tests and application, the results show that the system has realized basic functions of smart home and achieved the desired design goals. 展开更多

In this paper,a novel plug-configure-play ZigB ee-based smart home system is proposed to provide repeatable use and improve flexibility and maintainability with the reductions of cost and complexity,which can be customized and reconfigured without redevelopment. In this system,new sensors can be flexibly added through different interfaces on the ZigB ee nodes and the sensor network layer is transparent to the users. Therefore,by using our method,users can customize and use the smart home system simply by configuring the sensors information via software on the application layer. 展开更多

The Internet of thing(Io T)emerges as a possible solution to realize a smart life in the modern age.In this article,we design and realize a novel near field communication(NFC)-driven smart home system for Io T,which integrates the wireless sensor network(WSN),social networks,and the cloud computing.NFC technology provides a way for users to exchange information between them and the system by simply contacting.So,we propose to use NFC as the system drive in the architecture,such that users can intuitively interact with the system and deliver their intentions.Then,the corresponding service over the system will control or adjust the“things”at home to fit users'needs.Furthermore,the proposed system provides a platform for developers to easily and rapidly implement their smart home related services.In the system,WSN sensing and control,NFC communications and identification,user profile management and preference analysis,and social network integration are all provided as platform services.We will show how the system works for home automation,intruder detection,and social network sharing. 展开更多

The design and development of the software and hardware of the proposed system are given. In addition to the basic data acquisition and processing functions, the gateway supports the Bluetooth-based local interface and the general packet radio service (GPRS)-based remote interface. Users on the client service side can use a pocket PC or notebook PC to achieve real-time data acquisition and control instruction implementation, or remotely control the home control system through a mobile phone by sending a short message. The Labview graphical development environment is adopted to create PDA applications running on pocket PCs and monitoring platform established on notebook PCs. Except for the gateway, other nodes in the system work in sleep mode most of the time on the system, and thus it improves the lifetime of the whole system efficiently. 展开更多

In recent years, the application of artificial intelligence technique to underwater acoustic environment obtains great attention. This paper presents the work on developing a Micro-Expert System for underwater target classification. The major contributions include that: 1) A new tri-symbol coding method for symbolic representation of waveforms is proposed, and successfully applied to knowledge-based waveform analysis; 2) The properties, features and deployment conditions of a variety of underwater ECM (electric counter-measure) equipments together with target features are collected and summarized and a combined knowledge representation approach is developed for application in underwater acoustic environment; 3) A suitable Blackboard model inference mechanism is developed to cope with time sequence and uncertainty information and 4) A Micro-Expert System Shell for underwater target classification is developed through integrating the above special techniques. The current system shell is flexible, friendly with user-interface, and easy to be extended. Some experimental results are given to show the effectiveness of this system shell. 展开更多

Home courtyard agriculture is an important model of agricultural production on the Tibetan plateau. Be- cause of the sensitive and fragile plateau environment, it needs to have optimal performance characteristics, including high sustainability, low environmental pressure, and high economic benefit. Emergy analysis is a promising tool for evaluation of the environmental-economic performance of these production systems. In this study, emergy analysis was used to evaluate three courtyard agricultural production models: Raising Geese in Corn Fields (RGICF), Con- ventional Corn Planting (CCP), and Pea-Wheat Rotation (PWR). The results showed that the RGICF model produced greater economic benefits, and had higher sustainability, lower environmental pressure, and higher product safety than the CCP and PWR models. The emergy yield ratio (EYR) and emergy self-support ratio (ESR) of RGICF were 0.66 and 0.11, respectively, lower than those of the CCP production model, and 0.99 and 0.08, respectively, lower than those of the PWR production model. The impact of RGICF (1.45) on the environment was lower than that of CCP (2.26) and PWR (2.46). The emergy sustainable indices (ESIs) of RGICF were 1.07 and 1.02 times higher than those of CCP and PWR, respectively. With regard to the emergy index of product safety (EIPS), RGICF had a higher safety index than those of CCP and PWR. Overall, our results suggest that the RGICF model is advantageous and provides higher environmental benefits than the CCP and PWR systems. 展开更多

The need for institutional long-term care(LTC)services,including nursing homes(NHs),is increasing in China's Mainland in part due to the aging population and changing family structures.In developing NH staff training programs,a review is needed to synthesize knowledge about staff and resident characteristics,and care provided in NHs.This systematic review aims to describe,in Chinese NHs,(1)NH staff characteristics and the care they provide,(2)resident characteristics and care needs,and (3)the role of family members.The 45 articles included in this review covered both urban and rural areas of China's Mainland.We found that staff in Chinese NHs were older and had lower education levels in comparison with those in western countries.Most direct caregivers in urban areas were migratory workers from rural area.Chinese NHs had few qualification standards for staff preparation for their roles in NHs.Also,functional levels of residents in Chinese NHs were higher compared to NH residents in western countries.In addition,family members played important roles in caring for NH residents.These findings suggest a need for staff development programs that tailor for lower educated NH staff and care needs of residents with widely varying levels in function from independent to bedbound in China's Mainland.The findings also suggest that staff qualification standards require critically policy development to improve the capacity of Chinese NHs to provide competent and safe care. 展开更多

Among the plethora of IoT(Internet of Things)applications,the smart home is one of the fastest-growing.However,the rapid development of the smart home has also made smart home systems a target for attackers.Recently,researchers have made many efforts to investigate and enhance the security of smart home systems.Toward a more secure smart home ecosystem,we present a detailed literature review on the security of smart home systems.Specifically,we categorize smart home systems’security issues into the platform,device,and communication issues.After exploring the research and specific issues in each of these security areas,we summarize the root causes of the security flaws in today's smart home systems,which include the heterogeneity of internal components of the systems,vendors'customization,the lack of clear responsibility boundaries and the absence of standard security standards.Finally,to better understand the security of smart home systems and potentially provide better protection for smart home systems,we propose research directions,including automated vulnerability mining,vigorous security checking,and data-driven security analysis. 展开更多

These technologies have been benefiting to healthcare domain where they improve the quality of services delivering by healthcare providers. This article presents a comprehensive review on RFID systems and healthcare research works in smart homes. We also compare RFID-based solutions in healthcare and distinguish challenges of smart home technologies in indoor environment. Prevalence of frailty among nursing home residents in China:a systematic review and meta-analysis 被引量:2

Background:The prevalence of frailty among nursing home residents is high.However,in China,prevalence of frailty keeps unknown in this population.The purpose of this meta-analysis is to assess the prevalence of frailty and prefrailty and find out the factors related to the prevalence of frailty among nursing home residents in China.Methods:We searched both English(PubMed,Cochrane Library,Embase,Web of Science and Scopus)and Chinese(CNKI,WanFang,SinoMed,and VIP)databases from their inception date until 15 September 2020.Two reviewers independently screened literature,extracted data,and evaluated the risk of bias included studies.Stata12.0 software was used to conduct meta-analysis.Results:A total of 16 studies were included in this review,involving 7,777 nursing home residents.The prevalence of frailty ranged from 29.2% to 66.6% in the included studies.The pooled prevalence of frailty and prefrailty were 49%(95%CI:43-55%)and 42%(95%CI:34–50%),respectively.The assessment tool(P<0.001),gender(P<0.001),self-rated health(P<0.001)and type of institution(P<0.001)were significantly associated with the prevalence of frailty among nursing home residents in China.Conclusions:The prevalence of frailty among nursing home residents in China was relatively high.Considering the adverse health outcomes of frailty,nursing home administrators should screen frailty regularly,identify the risk factors of frailty,take actions accordingly and improve the frailty status for older adults. 展开更多
