Through the analysis of actual spindle air cutting experimental data on Leaderway-V450 machine, it is found that the temperature-sensitive points used for modeling is volatility, and this volatility directly leads to large changes on the collinear degree among modeling independent variables. Thus, the forecasting accuracy of multivariate regression model is severely affected, and the forecasting robustness becomes poor too. To overcome this effect, a modeling method of establishing thermal error models by using single temperature variable under the jamming of temperature-sensitive points' volatility is put forward. According to the actual data of thermal error measured in different seasons, it is proved that the single temperature variable model can reduce the loss of fore- casting accuracy resulted from the volatility of tempera- ture-sensitive points, especially for the prediction of cross quarter data, the improvement of forecasting accuracy is about 5 μm or more. The purpose that improving the robustness of the thermal error models is realized, which can provide a reference for selecting the modelingindependent variable in the application of thermal error compensation of CNC machine tools.展开更多

This system has been reported in pioneer as well as in more recent literature to exhibit all kinds of distinct critical points. Its response is thoroughly discussed, the effect of all parameters involved is extensively examined, including imperfection sensitivity, and the results obtained lead to the important conclusion that the model is possibly associated with the butterfly singularity, a fact which will be validated by the contents of a companion paper, based on catastrophe theory.展开更多

The present work is the companion one, tackling the problem via the Theory of Catastrophes. After Taylor expanding the original potential energy function and introducing Padè approximants of the trigonometric expression involved, the resulting truncated potential is a universal unfolding of the original one and an extended canonical form of the butterfly catastrophe potential energy function. Results in terms of equilibrium paths, bifurcation sets and manifold hyper-surface projections fully validate the whole analysis, being in excellent agreement with the findings obtained via bifurcation theory.展开更多

The purpose that improving the robustness of the thermal error models is realized, which can provide a reference for selecting the modelingindependent variable in the application of thermal error compensation of CNC machine tools.

文摘The spatial distribution of discontinuities and the size of rock blocks are the key indicators for rock mass quality evaluation and rockfall risk assessment.Traditional manual measurement is often dangerous or unreachable at some high-steep rock slopes. In contrast, unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)photogrammetry is not limited by terrain conditions, and can efficiently collect high-precision three-dimensional(3D)point clouds of rock masses through all-round and multiangle photography for rock mass characterization. In this paper,a new method based on a 3D point cloud is proposed for discontinuity identification and refined rock block modeling. The method is based on four steps:(1)Establish a point cloud spatial topology, and calculate the point cloud normal vector and average point spacing based on several machine learning algorithms;(2)Extract discontinuities using the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)algorithm and fit the discontinuity plane by combining principal component analysis(PCA)with the natural breaks(NB)method;(3)Propose a method of inserting points in the line segment to generate an embedded discontinuity point cloud;and(4)Adopt a Poisson reconstruction method for refined rock block modeling. The proposed method was applied to an outcrop of an ultrahigh steep rock slope and compared with the results of previous studies and manual surveys. The results show that the method can eliminate the influence of discontinuity undulations on the orientation measurement and describe the local concave-convex characteristics on the modeling of rock blocks. The calculation results are accurate and reliable, which can meet the practical requirements of engineering.
文摘The buckling and post-buckling response of a single-degree-of-freedom mechanical model is re-examined in this work, within the context of nonlinear stability and bifurcation theory. This system has been reported in pioneer as well as in more recent literature to exhibit all kinds of distinct critical points. Its response is thoroughly discussed, the effect of all parameters involved is extensively examined, including imperfection sensitivity, and the results obtained lead to the important conclusion that the model is possibly associated with the butterfly singularity, a fact which will be validated by the contents of a companion paper, based on catastrophe theory.
文摘Existing reverse-engineering methods struggle to directly generate editable, parametric CAD models from scanned data.To address this limitation, this paper proposes a reverse-modeling approach that reconstructs parametric CAD models from multi-view RGB-D point clouds.Multi-frame point-cloud registration and fusion are first employed to obtain a complete 3-D point cloud of the target object.A region-growing algorithm that jointly exploits color and geometric information segments the cloud, while RANSAC robustly detects and fits basic geometric primitives. These primitives serve as nodes in a graph whose edge features are inferred by a graph neural network to capture spatial constraints. From the detected primitives and their constraints,a high-accuracy,fully editable parametric CAD model is finally exported.Experiments show an average parameter error of 0.3 mm for key dimensions and an overall geometric reconstruction accuracy of 0.35 mm.The work offers an effective technical route toward automated, intelligent 3-D reverse modeling.

文摘Modified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer(EVAM)and amino-functionalized nano-silica(NSiO_(2))par-ticles were employed as the base materials for the synthesis of the nanocomposite pour point depressant designated as EVAM-g-NSiO_(2).This synthesis involved a chemical grafting process within a solution system, followed by a structural characterization. Moreover, combining macro-rheological performance with microscopic structure observation, the influence of the nanocomposite pour point depressant on the rheological properties of the model waxy oil system was investigated. The results indicate that when the mass ratio of NSiO_(2) to EVAM is 1:100,the prepared EVAM-g-NSiO_(2) nanocomposite pour point depressant exhibits excellent pour point reduction and viscosity reduction properties. Moreover, the nanocomposite pour point depressant obtained through a chemical grafting reaction demonstrates structural stability(the bonding between the polymer and nanoparticles is stable). The pour points of model waxy oils doped with 500 mg/kg ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer(EVA),EVAM,and EVAM/SiO_(2) were reduced from 34℃ to 23,20,and 21℃,respectively.After adding the same dosage of EVAM-g-NSiO_(2) nanocomposite pour point depressant, the pour point of the model wax oil decreased to 12℃ and the viscosity at 32℃ decreased from 2399 to 2396.9 mPa·s,achieving an impressive viscosity reduction rate of 99.9%.Its performance surpassed that of EVA,EVAM,and EVAM/SiO_(2).The EVAM-g-NSiO_(2) dispersed in the oil phase acts as the crystallization nucleus for wax crystals, resulting in a dense structure of wax crystals. The compact wax crystal blocks are difficult to overlap with each other,pre-venting the formation of a three-dimensional network structure, thereby improving the low-temperature flowability of the model waxy oil.

文摘Thermophilic proteins maintain their structure and function at high temperatures, making them widely useful in industrial applications.Due to the complexity of experimental measurements, predicting the melting temperature(T_(m))of proteins has become a research hotspot.Previous methods rely on amino acid composition, physicochemical properties of proteins, and the optimal growth temperature(OGT)of hosts for T_(m)prediction.However,their performance in predicting T_(m)values for thermophilic proteins(T_(m)>60℃)are generally unsatisfactory due to data scarcity.Herein,we introduce T_(m)Pred,a T_(m)prediction model for thermophilic proteins, that combines protein language model, graph convolutional network and Graphormer module. For performance evaluation,T_(m)Pred achieves a root mean square error(RMSE)of 5.48℃,a pearson correlation coefficient(P)of 0.784,and a coefficient of determination(R~2)of 0.613,representing improvements of 19%,15%,and 32%,respectively,compared to the state-of-the-art predictive models like DeepTM.Furthermore,T_(m)Pred demonstrated strong generalization capability on independent blind test datasets.Overall,T_(m)Pred provides an effective tool for the mining and modification of thermophilic proteins by leveraging deep learning.

文摘We investigate the quantum phase transitions(QPTs)of the two-qubit quantum Rabi model with staggered qubit biases. In the limit of an infinite qubit-to-cavity frequency ratio,we analytically derive the mean-field Hamiltonian and the order-parameter-dependent energy density functional, which yields the ground-state energy and order parameter. The rich superradiant phase transitions(SRPTs),including both second-and first-order QPTs and a tricritical point(TCP),are analytically derived.Specifically,we derive the analytical expressions for all phase transition points, including the nonperturbative point of the first-order SRPT.The analytical findings are further corroborated by numerical finite-size scaling analysis. It is found that both the critical correlation-length and order-parameter exponents at the TCP differ from those of the original second-order SRPTs,implying that the TCP belongs to a new universality class. This work provides a reliable theoretical framework for designing new, simple experimental platforms to explore the rich QPTs.

文摘A grey-box modelling framework was developed for the estimation of cut point temperature of a crude distillation unit(CDU)under uncertainty in crude composition and process conditions.First principle(FP)model of CDU was developed for Pakistani crudes from Zamzama and Kunnar fields.A hybrid methodology based on the integration of Taguchi method and genetic algorithm(GA)was employed to estimate the optimal cut point temperature for various sets of process variables.Optimised datasets were utilised to develop an artificial neural networks(ANN)model for the prediction of optimum values of cut points. The ANN model was then used to replace the hybrid framework of the Taguchi method and the GA.The integration of the ANN and FP model makes it a grey-box(GB)model.For the case of Zamama crude, the GB model helped in the decrease of up to 38.93%in energy required per kilo barrel of diesel and an 8.2%increase in diesel production compared to the stand-alone FP model under uncertainty.Similarly, for Kunnar crude,up to 18.87%decrease in energy required per kilo barrel of diesel and a 33.96%increase in diesel production was observed in comparison to the stand-alone FP model.

文摘In this study,a powerful thermo-hydro-mechanical(THM)coupling solution scheme for saturated poroelastic media involving brittle fracturing is developed.Under the local thermal non-equilibrium(LTNE)assumption,this scheme seamlessly combines the material point method(MPM)for accurately tracking solid-phase deformation and heat transport, and the Eulerian finite element method(FEM)for effectively capturing fluid flow and heat advection-diffusion behavior. The proposed approach circumvents the substantial challenges posed by large nonlinear equation systems with the monolithic solution scheme. The staggered solution process strategically separates each physical field through explicit or implicit integration. The characteristic-based method is used to stabilize advection-dominated heat flows for efficient numerical implementation.Furthermore,a fractional step approach is employed to decompose fluid velocity and pressure, thereby suppressing pore pressure oscillation on the linear background grid. The fracturing initiation and propagation are simulated by a rate-dependent phase field model.Through a series of quasi-static and transient simulations, the exceptional performance and promising potential of the proposed model in addressing THM fracturing problems in poro-elastic media is demonstrated.
文摘The inflection point is an important feature of sigmoidal height-diameter(H-D)models.It is often cited as one of the properties favoring sigmoidal model forms. However, there are very few studies analyzing the inflection points of H-D models. The goals of this study were to theoretically and empirically examine the behaviors of inflection points of six common H-D models with a regional dataset. The six models were the Wykoff(WYK),Schumacher(SCH),Curtis(CUR),HossfeldⅣ(HOS),von Bertalanffy-Richards(VBR),and Gompertz(GPZ)models. The models were first fitted in their base forms with tree species as random effects and were then expanded to include functional traits and spatial distribution. The distributions of the estimated inflection points were similar between the two-parameter models WYK,SCH,and CUR,but were different between the threeparameter models HOS,VBR,and GPZ.GPZ produced some of the largest inflection points.HOS and VBR produced concave H-D curves without inflection points for 12.7%and 39.7%of the tree species.Evergreen species or decreasing shade tolerance resulted in larger inflection points. The trends in the estimated inflection points of HOS and VBR were entirely opposite across the landscape.Furthermore,HOS could produce concave H-D curves for portions of the landscape.Based on the studied behaviors, the choice between two-parameter models may not matter. We recommend comparing seve ral three-parameter model forms for consistency in estimated inflection points before deciding on one.Believing sigmoidal models to have inflection points does not necessarily mean that they will produce fitted curves with one.Our study highlights the need to integrate analysis of inflection points into modeling H-D relationships.

文摘The open quantum system can be described by either a Lindblad master equation or a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian(NHH).However, these two descriptions usually have different exceptional points(EPs),associated with the degeneracies in the open quantum system. Here, considering a dissipative quantum Rabi model,we study the spectral features of EPs in these two descriptions and explore their connections. We find that, although the EPs in these two descriptions are usually different, the EPs of NHH will be consistent with the EPs of master equation in the weak coupling regime.Further,we find that the quantum Fisher information(QFI),which measures the statistical distance between quantum states, can be used as a signature for the appearance of EPs.Our study may give a theoretical guidance for exploring the properties of EPs in open quantum systems.
文摘In a recent publication [1], the fully nonlinear stability analysis of a Single-Degree-of Freedom (SDOF) model with distinct critical points was dealt with on the basis of bifurcation theory, and it was demonstrated that this system is associated with the butterfly singularity. Results in terms of equilibrium paths, bifurcation sets and manifold hyper-surface projections fully validate the whole analysis, being in excellent agreement with the findings obtained via bifurcation theory.

文摘Realizing efficient and controlled state transfers is necessary for implementing a wide range of classical and quantum information protocols.Recent studies have demonstrated that both asymmetric and symmetric state transfers can be achieved by encircling an exceptional point(EP)in non-Hermitian(NH)systems.However,the application of this phenomenon has been restricted to scenarios where an EP exists in single-qubit systems and is associated with a specific type of dissipation. In this work,we demonstrate efficient and controlled symmetric and asymmetric Bell-state transfers by modulating system parameters within a Jaynes-Cummings model while accounting for atomic spontaneous emission and cavity decay. The effective suppression of nonadiabatic transitions enables a symmetric exchange of Bell states irrespective of the encircling direction.Furthermore,we report a counterintuitive finding:the presence of an EP is not indispensable for implementing asymmetric state transfers in NH systems. We achieve perfect asymmetric Bell-state transfers even in the absence of an EP by dynamically orbiting around an approximate EP.Our work presents an approach to effectively and reliably manipulate entangled states with both symmetric and asymmetric characteristics, through dissipation engineering in NH systems.

文摘We present a computer-modeling framework for photovoltaic(PV)source emulation that preserves the exact single-diode physics while enabling iteration-free,real-time evaluation. We derive two closed-form explicit solvers based on the Lambert W function:a voltage-driven V-Lambert solver for high-fidelity I–V computation and a resistance-driven R-Lambert solver designed for seamless integration in a closed-loop PV emulator.Unlike Taylor-linearized explicit models, our proposed formulation retains the exponential nonlinearity of the PV equations. It employs a numerically stable analytical evaluation that eliminates the need for lookup tables and root-finding,all while maintaining limited computational costs and a small memory footprint. The R-Lambert model is integrated into a buck-converter emulator equipped with a discrete PI regulator, which generates current references directly from sensed operating points, thus supporting hardware-constrained implementation.Comprehensive numerical experiments conducted on six commercial modules from various technologies(mono, poly, and multicrystalline)demonstrate significant accuracy improvements under the IEC EN 50530 near-MPP criterion:the V-Lambert solver reduces the±10%Vmpp band error by up to 61 times compared to an explicit-model baseline.Dynamic simulations under varying irradiance, temperature, and load conditions achieve millisecond-scale settling with accurate trajectory tracking.Additionally,processor-in-the-loop experimental validation on an embedded microcontroller supports the simulation results.By unifying exact analytical modeling with embedded realization, this work advances computer modeling for PV emulation,MPPT benchmarking, and controller verification in integrated renewable energy systems.
