Agricultural Intangible Cultural Heritage(AICH)embodies collective,intergenerational knowledge sys⁃tems that are increasingly exposed to risks of misappropriation and inequitable commercialization under contemporary i...Agricultural Intangible Cultural Heritage(AICH)embodies collective,intergenerational knowledge sys⁃tems that are increasingly exposed to risks of misappropriation and inequitable commercialization under contemporary intellectual property(IP)regimes.This study investigates the"cost of inaction"in protecting AICH and geographical origins through a qualitative comparative case study approach,drawing on selected cases from Africa,Asia,and Latin America,alongside Chinese practices.By combining narrative analysis and thematic synthesis,the study identi⁃fies two dominant patterns:external misappropriation driven by institutional gaps-manifested in biopiracy,trademark squatting,and exploitation of information asymmetry-and internal inequities arising from commercialization processes that marginalize indigenous communities in benefit-sharing.The findings reveal that existing international IP frame⁃works,including TRIPs and the CBD,provide fragmented and insufficient protection for collective knowledge sys⁃tems.Comparative analysis of national responses highlights three distinct governance models:defensive protection(In⁃dia),rights-based sui generis legislation(Peru),and market-oriented geographical indication systems(European Union),each with inherent limitations.In contrast,Chinese practices demonstrate strong capacity in market integra⁃tion and industrial upgrading but remain constrained by weak recognition of community rights and limited institutional⁃ization of benefit-sharing mechanisms.This study contributes to the literature by proposing a composite institutional framework that integrates existing IP regimes with a sui generis system centered on collective rights recognition,prior informed consent,and mandatory benefit-sharing.The framework also emphasizes the need for embedded integration with patent,trademark,and geographical indication systems,as well as institutional adaptation in the context of the digital economy.The findings offer theoretical insights and policy implications for developing countries seeking to bal⁃ance cultural preservation,economic development,and equitable governance of traditional knowledge.展开更多

Research on rural cultural heritage encompasses cultural heritage management,tourism,and conservation.However,despite growing academic interest in recent years,systematic bibliometric analyses in this field remain lim...Research on rural cultural heritage encompasses cultural heritage management,tourism,and conservation.However,despite growing academic interest in recent years,systematic bibliometric analyses in this field remain limited,and a comprehensive knowledge framework has yet to be established.Based on the Web of Science(WoS)Core Collection,this study conducted a bibliometric analysis of 657 articles published between 2004 and 2024 using CiteSpace 6.2.R4 to visualize the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of rural cultural heritage research.The results revealed a steady increase in publication output and the emergence of an interdisciplinary framework integrating culture,ecology,and community.The United States,China,Germany,and Italy acted as central hubs in international collaboration networks,with China demonstrating notable performance in publication volume,digital heritage preservation,and policy development.Keyword analysis showed a paradigm shift from static conservation to dynamic governance,highlighting growing scholarly attention to cultural ecosystem services,sustainable tourism,and community engagement.This study presented the first knowledge map of rural cultural heritage research,offering insights into paradigm transformation and providing quantitative support for future theoretical and policyoriented advancements.It concluded by emphasizing the need for enhanced interdisciplinary integration and global-local collaboration to develop resilient and context-sensitive models for rural cultural heritage governance.展开更多
With the simultaneous growth of cultural heritage activation and urban renewal needs,urban heritage parks are increasingly becoming important carriers for the integrated development of historical heritage protection a...With the simultaneous growth of cultural heritage activation and urban renewal needs,urban heritage parks are increasingly becoming important carriers for the integrated development of historical heritage protection and public space utilization.This article focuses on the construction of measurement dimensions of tourist experience value in urban heritage parks.Based on the theoretical frameworks of flow theory and experience value theory,combined with literature analysis and UGC text mining,it initially constructs an emotional,cultural,and functional three-dimensional index system.Through text analysis of 970 online reviews of Chongqing Kaifa Heritage Park,social value is identified as a potential new dimension.Subsequently,this article adopts exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis methods to verify the structural validity and reliability of the evaluation model with four dimensions and eighteen indicators,confirming that tourist experience value consists of four dimensions:emotional,cultural,functional,and social.The research not only fills the empirical research gap on social interaction value in cultural heritage tourism spaces,but also provides a quantifiable evaluation tool and evidence-based basis for the operation,management,and experience optimization of heritage parks,which has certain theoretical innovation significance and practical guidance value.展开更多

The heritage preservation is of great intractability to the conservators as each kind of heritage material has unique and diverse requirements on temperature,humidity and air cleanliness.It is promising for metal-orga...The heritage preservation is of great intractability to the conservators as each kind of heritage material has unique and diverse requirements on temperature,humidity and air cleanliness.It is promising for metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),the multifunctional environment remediation materials,to be applied in heritage environmental protection.The advantages of MOFs lie in their multifunction like adsorption,photocatalysis,sterilization,as well as the controllable structure and properties that could be flexibly adjusted as demands,helping the heritage against various environmental threats.Thereby,the applications and the corresponding mechanisms of MOFs in cultural heritage preservation were reviewed in this work,including harmful gas adsorption,surface waterproofing,particulate matters(PM)removal,anti-bacterial and humidity control of environment.Finally,the selection principles and precautions of MOFs in heritage preservation were discussed,aiming to provide a forward-looking direction for the selection and application of MOFs.展开更多
