Research on rural cultural heritage encompasses cultural heritage management,tourism,and conservation.However,despite growing academic interest in recent years,systematic bibliometric analyses in this field remain lim...Research on rural cultural heritage encompasses cultural heritage management,tourism,and conservation.However,despite growing academic interest in recent years,systematic bibliometric analyses in this field remain limited,and a comprehensive knowledge framework has yet to be established.Based on the Web of Science(WoS)Core Collection,this study conducted a bibliometric analysis of 657 articles published between 2004 and 2024 using CiteSpace 6.2.R4 to visualize the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of rural cultural heritage research.The results revealed a steady increase in publication output and the emergence of an interdisciplinary framework integrating culture,ecology,and community.The United States,China,Germany,and Italy acted as central hubs in international collaboration networks,with China demonstrating notable performance in publication volume,digital heritage preservation,and policy development.Keyword analysis showed a paradigm shift from static conservation to dynamic governance,highlighting growing scholarly attention to cultural ecosystem services,sustainable tourism,and community engagement.This study presented the first knowledge map of rural cultural heritage research,offering insights into paradigm transformation and providing quantitative support for future theoretical and policyoriented advancements.It concluded by emphasizing the need for enhanced interdisciplinary integration and global-local collaboration to develop resilient and context-sensitive models for rural cultural heritage governance.展开更多
Heritage parks preserve cultural heritage while contributing to education,recreation,and sustainable urban development.However,the relationships between landscape elements and visitors'emotional responses remain u...Heritage parks preserve cultural heritage while contributing to education,recreation,and sustainable urban development.However,the relationships between landscape elements and visitors'emotional responses remain underexplored.This study aims to bridge this gap by analysing social media reviews to understand how various landscape elements in heritage parks influence emotional experiences,offering insights for enhancing park services and promoting practical cultural heritage preservation.Using data from 63,288 visitor reviews(2018–2023)across five major social media platforms,this research focuses on five heritage parks in Xi'an as case studies.By employing latent Dirichlet allocation(LDA)topic modelling,sentiment analysis,and social network analysis(SNA),we identified five key categories of landscape elements:cultural landscapes,biological and natural environments,framework and service facilities,special activities,and architecture and infrastructure.Sentiment analysis revealed that cultural landscapes elicited the highest positive emotional response score(64.9%),reflecting their historical and aesthetic significance.Framework and service facilities had the highest emotional intensity score(8.09),emphasising their functional role in enhancing visitor satisfaction.In contrast,the biological and natural environments presented weaker emotional appeal(6.86).This study provides a novel framework linking emotional responses to specific landscape features,offering practical guidance for optimising heritage park management and supporting the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.展开更多

Sites and landscapes of international geological significance are managed with a comprehensive approach of conservation,education,and sustainable development in UNESCO Global Geoparks,which comprise a single,cohesive ...Sites and landscapes of international geological significance are managed with a comprehensive approach of conservation,education,and sustainable development in UNESCO Global Geoparks,which comprise a single,cohesive geographic area.A growing number of people are adopting the bottom-up strategy,which involves local communities and combines sustainable development with conservation.The viability of creating a UNESCO-recognized geopark in Kutch is assessed in this study.This study examines the key geoheritage features of the Kutch region,explores the socio-economic prospects of a geopark through geotourism and community development,and evaluates its conformity with UNESCO’s Global Geopark criteria on conservation,education,and sustainability.The study also evaluates the overall feasibility of the project,its economic,social,and environmental implications,and the adequacy of the requisite infrastructure..Its geological,cultural,and historical significance,as well as socioeconomic and environmental factors,are the parameters considered for investigation.Despite multiple applications to UNESCO,the Gujarat region of Kutch,which is rich in geological,cultural,and historical elements,is not recognised as a World Heritage Site.In actuality,there are 195 geoparks in 48 nations worldwide as of 2023,however India does not have one.The findings of the study provide critical insights that can direct initiatives to establish India’s first geopark and promote regional sustainability.展开更多
