Acceleration of Form Ⅱ-Ⅰ Transition in Polybutene-1 by H-shape Long-chain Branching: Critical Role of 1,9-Decadiene as Branching Agent and Synergy with Comonomer

Polybutene-1(PB-1) is a semi-crystalline polymer with excellent mechanical properties. However, its practical application is significantly hindered by the slow Form Ⅱ-Ⅰ transition, which can take up to several days to complete. While prior research established that long-chain branching(LCB) structures synthesized via ω-alkenylmethyldichlorosilane copolymerization-hydrolysis(ACH) chemistry markedly accelerate this transition, this work demonstrates that H-shaped LCB structures constructed through copolymerization with 1,9-decadiene exhibit the capability to facilitate Form Ⅱ-Ⅰ transition in most systems evaluated herein. However, low branching efficiency concurrently generates extended alkyl pendant chains, which impose pronounced steric-hindrance-driven suppression on the transition kinetics, thereby substantially diminishing the net acceleration effect of the LCB structures, even resulting in a net retardation effect in certain systems. Notably, a significant synergistic acceleration effect emerged between the H-shaped LCB structures and propylene comonomer units. These findings confirm that the H-shaped LCB structures play a role in promoting the Form II-I transformation process, which is independent of the synthetic pathways, thereby providing more strategies for addressing the long-standing processing problems of PB-1. 展开更多

Based on the introductions of a type of diaphragm-through connection between concrete-filled square steel tubular columns (CFSSTCs) and H-shaped steel beams,a finite element model of the connection is developed and used to investigate the seismic behavior of the connection.The results of the finite element model are validated by a set of cyclic loading tests.The cyclic loading tests and the finite element analyses indicate that the failure mode of the suggested connections is plastic hinge at the beam with inelastic rotation angle exceeding 0.04 rad.The suggested connections have sufficient strength,plastic deformation and energy dissipation capacity to be used in composite moment frames as beam-to-column rigid connections. 展开更多

Despite the fact that some progress has been made in the self-assembly of H-shaped polymers, the corresponding self-assemblies that respond to external stimulus and are further utilized to adjust the release of drugs are still deficient. The stimuli-responsive segments with amphiphilic H-shaped structure are generally expected to enhance the controllability of self-assembly process. The synthesis and self-assembly behavior of thermo-responsive amphiphilic H-shaped polymers with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), polytetrahydrofuran (PTHF) and poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide) (PNIPAM) as building blocks are reported in this paper. The inner architecture structure and size of complex micelles formed by H-shaped self-assemblies were effectively adjusted when the solution temperature was increased above the lower critical solution temperature of PNIPAM segments. Furthermore, it was found that the architecture of self-assemblies underwent a transition from the complex micelles based on primary micelles with hybrid PEG/PNIPAM shells to large complex micelles based on primary micelles with hybrid PTHF/PNIPAM cores and PEG shells during the thermal-induced self-assembly process. The adjustable release rate ofdoxorubicin (DOX) from the DOX-loaded complex micelles and basic cell experiments further proved the feasibility of these self-assemblies as the thermal-responsive drug delivery system. 展开更多

The influence of different confinements active on the crystallization and self-nucleation (SN) behavior of the PEG blocks was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). When the content of the crystalline block was high, a classical SN behavior was obtained. The block copolymer with PEG content of 49% (by weight) showed a classical SN behavior with a narrow self-nucleation domain and had bimodal crystallization exotherms. When the PEG dispersed as separated microdomains in the block copolymer, the self-nucleation domain disappeared and only annealing was observed. 展开更多

As one of the main load-carrying components of cable-stayed bridges,bridge towers are typically required to remain elastic even when subjected to severe ground motions with a 2%-3%probability of exceedance in 50 years.To fulfill this special requirement imposed by current seismic design codes,reinforcement ratios in the bridge towers have to be kept significantly higher than if limited ductility behavior of the tower is allowed.In addition,since the foundation capacity is closely related to the moment and shear capacities of the bridge tower,a large increase in bridge construction cost for elastically designed cable-stayed bridge is inevitable.To further investigate the possibility of limited ductility bridge tower design strategies,a new 1/20-scale cable-stayed bridge model with H-shaped bridge towers designed according to strong strut-weak tower column design was tested.The shake table experimental results are compared with a previous strong tower column-weak strut designed full bridge model.A comparison of the results show that ductility design with plastic hinges located on tower columns,i.e.,strong strut-weak tower column design,is another effective seismic design strategy that results in only small residual displacement at the top of the tower column,even under very severe earthquake excitations. 展开更多

The extrusion process is adopted to manufacture the 304L H-shaped s... 304L H-shaped stainless steel is used as the support frame of the passive residual heat removal heat exchanger(PRHR HX) in a nuclear fission reactor. The extrusion process is adopted to manufacture the 304L H-shaped stainless steel. Finite element method simulation is herein used to analyze metal flow characteristics, optimize the extrusion die, and predict the extrusion force at different temperatures and speeds. A Φ400-mm container and Φ388-mm forging billet are selected, and the 304L H-shaped stainless steel is successfully manufactured using a Germany SMS 60 MN horizontal extruder. The mechanical properties and microstructure of the manufactured 304L H-shaped stainless steel meet the requirements of the PRHR HX, and the surfaces of the product pass the dye penetration test. The H-shaped stainless steels are used in Haiyang nuclear power plant in Shandong Province. 展开更多

Rare attention has been paid to the comparison between a monomer and its corresponding polymer in terms of the optoelectronic characteristics. In this article, a model H-shaped molecule and its corresponding polymer, both of which exhibited similar properties including blue emission and solution processing, were designed and synthesized. Optoelectronic properties and various kinds of stability features, including the thermostabilities, spectral stabilities and amplified spontaneous emission characteristic of the monomer and polymer were investigated. In general, the corresponding polymer PH exhibited similar optoelectronic properties but deteriorated stabilities compared with its H-shaped monomer H-1 probably owing to the similar chemical structure but the wider molecular weight distribution and metal catalyst residue. Importantly, monomer H-1 displayed a comparable ASE threshold value with its polymer PH,suggesting that H-shaped fluorene-based small molecules may be more promising optical gain media in solid state amplifers and lasers. 展开更多

This study simulates natural convection flow resulting from heat partitions in an H-shaped enclosure filled with a nanofluid using an incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics(ISPH)method.The right area of the H-shaped enclosure is saturated with non-Darcy porous media.The center variable partitions of the H-shaped enclosure walls are kept at a high-temperature Th.The left and right walls of the H-shaped enclosure are positioned at a low temperature Tc and the other walls are adiabatic.In ISPH method,the source term in pressure Poisson equation(PPE)is modified.The influences of the controlling parameters on the temperature distributions,the velocity field and average Nusselt number are discussed.The performed simulations proofed that the length of the heated partitions augments the velocity field and temperature distributions in an H-shaped enclosure.Rayleigh number rises the fluid velocity and heat transfer in an H-shaped enclosure.The porous layer on the right side of the H-shaped enclosure at a lower Darcy parameter causes a high resistance force for the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristic inside an H-shaped enclosure.Added nanoparticles reduces the velocity field and enhances the heat transfer inside an H-shaped enclosure. 展开更多

Load-carrying capacity and practical calculation method for hollow cylinder joints connected with H-shaped beams

A type of hollow cylinder joints connected with H-shaped beams is proposed for spatial structures. Based on von Mises yield criterion and perfect elasto-plasticity model, a series of finite element models of the joints is established, in which the effect of geometric nonlinearity is taken into account. Then mechanical behavior and load-carrying capacity of the joints were investigated, which were subjected to axial load, in- and out-plane bending moments, and their combinations. The results show that the ultimate loads of the joints are determined by the maximum displacement. Furthermore, the case of one joint connected with multiple beams was discussed. Experiments on a set of typical full-scale joints were conducted to understand the structural behavior and the failure mechanism of joint, and also to validate the finite element models. Finally, the practical calculation method was established through finite elements analysis (FEA) results and numerical fitting. The results show that the joints are more ductile and materially economical than welded hollow spherical joints, and the practical calculation method can provide a reference for direct design and the revision of relevant design codes. 展开更多

Analogizing with the definition of thermal efficiency of a heat exchanger,the entransy dissipation efficiency of a heat exchanger is defined as the ratio of dimensionless entransy dissipation rate to dimensionless pumping power of the heat exchanger.For the constraints of the total tube volume and total tube surface area of the heat exchanger,the constructal optimization of an H-shaped multi-scale heat exchanger is carried out by taking entransy dissipation efficiency maximization as optimization objective,and the optimal construct of the H-shaped multi-scale heat exchanger with maximum entransy dissipation efficiency is obtained.The results show that for the specified total tube volume of the heat exchanger,the optimal constructs of the first order T-shaped heat exchanger based on the maximizations of the thermal efficiency and entransy dissipation efficiency are obviously different with the lower mass flow rates of the cold and hot fluids.For the H-shaped multi-scale heat exchanger,the entransy dissipation efficiency decreases with the increase in mass flow rate when the heat exchanger order is fixed;for the specified dimensionless mass flow rate M(M<32.9),the entransy dissipation efficiency decreases with the increase in the heat exchanger order.The performance of the multi-scale heat exchanger is obviously improved compared with that of the single-scale heat exchanger.Moreover,the heat exchanger subjected to the total tube surface area constraint is also discussed in the paper.The optimization results obtained in this paper can provide a great compromise between the heat transfer and flow performances of the heat exchanger,provide some guidelines for the optimal designs of heat exchangers,and also enrich the connotation of entransy theory. 展开更多

为了降低H型钢轧后的断面温差、提高其组织性能,研究了轧后H型钢的冷却过程。首先,利用有限元软件DPM模块模拟了H型钢的喷雾冷却过程,建立了不同喷雾冷却条件下的热-流-固耦合模型,分析了不同气压、水压、喷嘴位置和喷雾角度等参数对喷... 为了降低H型钢轧后的断面温差、提高其组织性能,研究了轧后H型钢的冷却过程。首先,利用有限元软件DPM模块模拟了H型钢的喷雾冷却过程,建立了不同喷雾冷却条件下的热-流-固耦合模型,分析了不同气压、水压、喷嘴位置和喷雾角度等参数对喷雾冷却后H型钢温度场分布的影响。随后,在实验室装配了H型钢喷雾冷却实验平台,进行了多组H型钢喷雾冷却实验。实验结果表明:采用0.3 MPa气压与0.1 MPa水压的冷却参数时,最利于晶粒细化,喷雾液滴更为细小且分散;H型钢R角处和下翼缘处的抗拉强度分别提高了48和58 MPa。对H150×150×7×10钢的翼缘下方区域进行喷雾冷却,冷却会更加均匀。 展开更多

研究内置H型钢的铝合金圆管混凝土纯弯构件的力学性能,为该类构件的设计及实际工程应用提供参考。通过ABAQUS构建有限元模型,在验证模型正确的基础上,对典型构件开展受力全过程分析、整体挠度曲线分析与平截面假定验证,并进一步分析不... 研究内置H型钢的铝合金圆管混凝土纯弯构件的力学性能,为该类构件的设计及实际工程应用提供参考。通过ABAQUS构建有限元模型,在验证模型正确的基础上,对典型构件开展受力全过程分析、整体挠度曲线分析与平截面假定验证,并进一步分析不同参数变化对构件抗弯性能的影响。结果表明:H型钢可充分发挥抗弯性能并对混凝土形成有效约束,进而提高构件延性;当构件达到极限承载力时,铝合金管与H型钢承担的荷载占比超90%。此外,随着铝合金管厚度与含钢率的增加,构件承载力及抗弯刚度显著增强,而混凝土强度变化对构件抗弯性能的影响相对较小。内置H型钢的铝合金圆管混凝土纯弯构件中各部分材料均能充分发挥作用,具备良好的抗弯性能。 展开更多

高强H型钢梁柱的轴向承载力较高,受压时不易屈曲失稳。但其节点作为载荷传递的关键构件,尤其弱轴连接节点承受载荷时易变形和破坏。为此,进行建筑高强H型钢梁柱弱轴连接节点极限承载力研究。制备4种建筑高强H型钢梁柱弱轴连接节点试样(... 高强H型钢梁柱的轴向承载力较高,受压时不易屈曲失稳。但其节点作为载荷传递的关键构件,尤其弱轴连接节点承受载荷时易变形和破坏。为此,进行建筑高强H型钢梁柱弱轴连接节点极限承载力研究。制备4种建筑高强H型钢梁柱弱轴连接节点试样(标准型、盖板型、扩翼型、加腋型)。通过低周循环加载试验测试弯矩、转动刚度、承载力等,对比不同弱轴连接节点的承载能力。结果表明:扩翼型H型钢梁柱弱轴连接节点试样的屈服极限高于其他试样,且其梁端峰值载荷、最大承载力均最大,具有更优的抗弯承载性能。研究结果揭示了钢梁柱弱轴节点的受力性能和承载能力,为工程设计和施工提供了参考。 展开更多

研究内置H型钢圆铝管混凝土中长柱轴压性能,分析各类参数对轴压承载力的影响,为该类构件轴压承载力计算提供参考。采用ABAQUS有限元分析软件构建模型,通过与现有试验数据对比验证模型的准确性;然后对典型构件进行全过程分析,包括荷载承... 研究内置H型钢圆铝管混凝土中长柱轴压性能,分析各类参数对轴压承载力的影响,为该类构件轴压承载力计算提供参考。采用ABAQUS有限元分析软件构建模型,通过与现有试验数据对比验证模型的准确性;然后对典型构件进行全过程分析,包括荷载承担比、混凝土纵向应力分布和约束力发展,分析各类参数对其承载力和初始刚度的影响。结果表明:内置H型钢圆铝管混凝土中长柱在轴压过程中,混凝土承担荷载比例始终最高,H型钢约束力大于铝合金管约束力。混凝土强度与含铝率是影响其承载力的关键参数,长径比和含钢率是影响其初始刚度的关键参数。内置H型钢圆铝管混凝土中长柱各组成部分均能充分发挥其作用,具有良好的承载能力与初始刚度。 展开更多

针对钢柱在使用过程中会遭受不同程度的腐蚀,进而造成其承载能力发生变化的问题,文中以遭受随机点蚀的H型钢长柱为研究对象,采用蒙特卡洛方法和有限元分析来模拟长柱的整体失稳行为,从而研究随机点蚀对钢柱轴压承载能力的影响。以蒙特... 针对钢柱在使用过程中会遭受不同程度的腐蚀,进而造成其承载能力发生变化的问题,文中以遭受随机点蚀的H型钢长柱为研究对象,采用蒙特卡洛方法和有限元分析来模拟长柱的整体失稳行为,从而研究随机点蚀对钢柱轴压承载能力的影响。以蒙特卡洛方法来解决点蚀的随机分布问题,建立了蒙特卡洛随机点蚀数值模型,并通过已有的钢柱压缩试验文献,验证其可靠性。为全面评估点蚀对柱体承载力的影响,文中共建立了1080个随机点蚀模型,并基于这些模型对柱体承载力开展非线性屈曲分析,研究了边界条件、长细比、蚀坑深度及腐蚀率这4个因素对钢柱承载能力的影响。研究结果表明:在腐蚀程度相同时,不同长细比、蚀坑深度以及边界条件均会对受压钢柱的承载能力产生影响;受压钢柱的承载能力退化规律与腐蚀率呈负相关。 展开更多
