This method improves the noninterior continuation methods recently developed for SDCP by Chen and Tseng. The main properties of our method are: (i) it is well d.efined for the monotones SDCP; (ii) it has to solve just one linear system of equations at each step; (iii) it is shown to be both globally linearly convergent and locally quadratically convergent under suitable assumptions.展开更多

We prove that, under condition (M), when P greater-than-or-equal-to 3/2, where P=pp triple overdot/p2, there exists a unique global continuous solution to the Riemann problem (E), (R), whose structure is similar to the local solution. When 1 < P* less-than-or-equal-to P* < 5/4, or P* = P* = 5/4, or 5 < P* less-than-or-equal-to P* < 3/2 where P*-inf/v P and P* = sup/v P for all v under consideration, if at least one of the initial centered rarefaction waves is sufficiently strong, then the solution must be breakdown in a finite time.展开更多

This paper analyzes cl...The cluster global time can change in wireless sensor networks due to leader re-elections and node disabilities between two successive synchronizations, which will affect temporal relationships. This paper analyzes cluster global time continuity, using global time change models for the node dynamics. The results prove that defining the global time using the cluster average time (AGT) is more stable than defining it using a single node's local time (SGT). With normally distributed clock-parameter assumptions, the AGT change bounds are at most 70.7% of those for the SGT's. The impacts of the initial phase and frequency skew distributions on the global time continuity are also investigated to show that the initial phase variations may strongly influence the continuity. Simulations show that the AGT is more stable with less disabled nodes or larger clusters. The appropriate cluster size is 20-40 when there are less than 15 disabled nodes.展开更多

In our modified method we use variable measure integral, importance sampling and main idea of the cross-entropy method to ensure its convergence and efficiency. Numerical results show that the new method is very efficient in some challenging continuous global optimization problems.展开更多
