BACKGROUND Appendicitis is a common acute abdominal pain disorder.Laparoscopic appendectomy,a commonly used modality,is associated with less trauma and faster recovery than traditional open appendectomy.However,postop...BACKGROUND Appendicitis is a common acute abdominal pain disorder.Laparoscopic appendectomy,a commonly used modality,is associated with less trauma and faster recovery than traditional open appendectomy.However,postoperative recovery remains an important issue that affects rehabilitation quality and surgical results.AIM To explore the effects of rapid rehabilitation and surgical nursing care on gastrointestinal function recovery and sleep quality among patients undergoing laparoscopic appendectomy.METHODS A total of 120 patients who underwent laparoscopic appendectomy at our hospital between January 2019 and March 2024 and for whom complete clinical data were available were selected.Patients were randomly assigned to two groups(n=60 each)using the random number table method.The control group received routine nursing care,while the experimental group received rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing care;all patients continued to receive nursing care until discharge.The recovery of gastrointestinal function,length of hospital stay,complications,Pittsburgh sleep quality index,and nursing satisfaction were compared between groups.RESULTS Following the implementation of effective nursing measures,the times to bowel sound recovery,first exhaust,first defecation,and first feeding were notably shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the duration of the first postoperative activity and the length of hospital stay were significantly shorter in the study vs control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the study group exhibited better sleep quality than the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate was significantly lower and the nursing satisfaction rate significantly higher in the study vs control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing interventions provided to patients after laparoscopic appendectomy can accelerate their postoperative recovery,reduce the occurrence of complications,and improve their sleep quality and nursing satisfaction.展开更多

The study needs 108 patients, who are divided into conventional nursing and nursing intervention groups according to different nursing methods. Relevant indicators are compared to complete this study. The observation indexes included the recovery of gastrointestinal function, the pain score of the patients 1-4 days after operation and the incidence of complications during nursing. The research results show that the performance of the observation indexes of the nursing intervention group is significantly better than that of the conventional nursing group, and the difference is statistically significant. The following conclusions can be drawn: nursing intervention can help patients undergoing laparoscopic biliary tract surgery to quickly restore gastrointestinal function, improve the quality of life of postoperative patients, reduce the pain caused by diseases, reduce the incidence of adverse complications, and has high clinical application value.展开更多
BACKGROUND Postoperative nursing can improve the restlessness and gastrointestinal function of patients with tracheal intubation under general anesthesia in digestive surgery.Wide application of various nursing method...BACKGROUND Postoperative nursing can improve the restlessness and gastrointestinal function of patients with tracheal intubation under general anesthesia in digestive surgery.Wide application of various nursing methods and routine nursing in periop-erative nursing of patients with general anesthesia in digestive surgery.AIM To investigate the impact of early postoperative enteral nutrition nursing based on the enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)theory on postoperative agitation and gastrointestinal recovery in patients undergoing general anesthesia that experienced tracheal intubation.METHODS The data of 126 patients with digestive surgery from May 2019 to February 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different nursing methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 63 cases in observation group and 63 cases in control group.The patients in the control group had standard perioperative nursing care,whereas those in the observation group got enteral nourishment as soon as possible after surgery in accordance with ERAS theory.Both the rate and quality of gastrointestinal function recovery were compared between the two groups after treatment ended.Postoperative anes-thesia-related adverse events were tallied,patients'nutritional statuses were monitored,and the Riker sedation and agitation score(SAS)was used to measure the incidence of agitation.RESULTS When compared to the control group,the awake duration,spontaneous breathing recovery time,extubation time and postoperative eye-opening time were all considerably shorter(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the recovery time of orientation force between the two groups(P>0.05);however,the observation group had a lower SAS score than the control group(P<0.05).The recovery time for normal intestinal sounds,the time it took to have the first postoperative exhaust,the time it took to have the first postoperative defecation,and the time it took to have the first postoperative half-fluid feeding were all faster in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05);Fasting blood glucose was lower in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05),while the albumin and hemoglobin levels were higher on the first and third postoperative days;however,there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of anesthesia-related adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION The extremely early postoperative enteral nutrition nursing based on ERAS theory can reduce the degree of agitation,improve the quality of recovery,promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function,and improve the nutritional status of patients in the recovery period after tracheal intubation under general anesthesia.展开更多
Objective:To investigate the application effect of Fennel hot compress in pa-tients undergoing conservative treatment for intestinal obstruction.Methods:A non-randomized,non-concurrent controlled study was conducted i...Objective:To investigate the application effect of Fennel hot compress in pa-tients undergoing conservative treatment for intestinal obstruction.Methods:A non-randomized,non-concurrent controlled study was conducted involv-ing 79 patients with intestinal obstruction receiving conservative treatment.Convenience sampling was used to divide them into a control group(n=41)and an observation group(n=38).The control group received routine symp-tomatic supportive treatment and nursing care.The observation group received additional Fennel hot compress applied to the abdomen.Results:The obser-vation group showed a higher treatment effective rate than the control group.The time to anal exhaust,time to defecation,and time to disappearance of abdominal pain and distension were significantly shortened in the observation group.Hospital stay length and costs were reduced.Patient satisfaction total score,and scores in the dimensions of technical service quality,service econ-omy,and timeliness were superior in the observation group compared to the control group.All differences were statistically significant.Discussion:Fennel hot compress is simple,safe,and effective.It can accelerate the recovery of gas-trointestinal function,alleviate suffering,reduce hospitalization costs,and en-hance nursing satisfaction in patients undergoing conservative treatment for in-testinal obstruction,demonstrating significant clinical value for widespread adoption.展开更多

文摘Objective:To investigate the application effect of Fennel hot compress in pa-tients undergoing conservative treatment for intestinal obstruction.Methods:A non-randomized,non-concurrent controlled study was conducted involv-ing 79 patients with intestinal obstruction receiving conservative treatment.Convenience sampling was used to divide them into a control group(n=41)and an observation group(n=38).The control group received routine symp-tomatic supportive treatment and nursing care.The observation group received additional Fennel hot compress applied to the abdomen.Results:The obser-vation group showed a higher treatment effective rate than the control group.The time to anal exhaust,time to defecation,and time to disappearance of abdominal pain and distension were significantly shortened in the observation group.Hospital stay length and costs were reduced.Patient satisfaction total score,and scores in the dimensions of technical service quality,service econ-omy,and timeliness were superior in the observation group compared to the control group.All differences were statistically significant.Discussion:Fennel hot compress is simple,safe,and effective.It can accelerate the recovery of gas-trointestinal function,alleviate suffering,reduce hospitalization costs,and en-hance nursing satisfaction in patients undergoing conservative treatment for in-testinal obstruction,demonstrating significant clinical value for widespread adoption.
