In order to make music more appealing, it is essential to improve performance skills. Only by mastering the flute playing skills skillfully, can the work be more vocal, the timbre is soft, and the timbre is more unified, so that the thoughts, feelings and profound connotations of the musical works are more deeply rooted. The generality of music genre, that is to say, can fully show the common principles of music creation in a period of music and the criterion of musical aesthetics. The individuality of the music genre fully demonstrates the individual characteristics of the composer. In the music works in different periods of the musicians, the specific performance we can see the typical character of a music period, different features also can feel different with the composer.展开更多

More specifi cally, and according to Peirce's categorial scheme, we suggest speech genres can be considered as ‘thirds', or purposeful and general ‘laws' overdetermining speech and its regularities. As such, the study of their semiotic mechanisms would fall within the sphere of Peirce's ‘speculative rhetoric', one of the three branches of his semeiotics. Overall, following Lyne, we suggest that any speech genre relates to three kinds of rhetorical ‘habits' —habits of representation, habits of objectifi cation, and habits of interpretation—which explain a sense of ‘reasonableness' permeating any discursive practice in society. We suggest that the task of discursive rhetorics should be to delineate, for given cultural communities, the productive and interpretive norms and mechanisms which govern the determination of discourse and elicit an intended interpretation on the interpreter's side.展开更多

It argues that the taxonomic effort of grouping different non-Hart ethnicities together into a single category of minority cinema is a sociopolitical attempt to construct, maintain and control the definition of ethnic minorities. It calls into question not what is within the film, but the classificatory practices outside of the film collectively engaged by the government, the film industry, the critics and the mass audience. Moving away from the methods of examining the representation and generic conventions of the cinema other scholarship has employed, this article emphasizes the classification system used during the time of the cinema. By comparing it with a similar classificatory problem in Western national history, using an epistemological perspective, this article criticizes the negative impact inevitably left in rhetorically driven classification systems.展开更多
