Considering the control difficulties of a hydro-viscous trol algorithm was derived. A fuzzy-immune PID controller was soft start (HVSS) device of a belt conveyor, a fuzzy-immune con- designed based on immune feedback regulations and adaptability of the fuzzy logic inference. Using MATLAB software, we simulated the controller and compared the HVSS device with a conven- tional PID controller and a fuzzy PID controller. The simulation results show that the controller is not only very reliable as a PID controller, robust and requires only a short adjustment time of fuzzy control, but possesses also capacity of global optimization of the immune algorithm. To verify our theoretical analysis and simulation, a HVSS test-bed was developed. The experimental results demonstrate that the fuzzy-immune PID controller managed to start the belt conveyor softly and to follow an S-shaped curve while the output speed correctly followed the preset speed with only small fluctuations in speed. 展开更多

In order to improve the dynamic performance of active magnetic hearing systems with highly nonlinear and naturally unstable dynamics, a new nonlinear fuzzy-immune proportional integral-derivative (PID) controller is proposed by combining the immune feedback law with linear PID con trol. This controller consists of a PID controller and a basic immune proportional controller in cascaded connection, the nonlinear function of the immune proportional controller is realized by using fuzzy reasoning. Simulation results demon strate that the active magnetic bearing system with the proposed controller has better dynamic performance and disturbance rejection ability than using the linear PID controller. 展开更多

For the Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) networks with time-varying multiple time-delays, a more realistic model for the available bit rate (ABR) traffic class with explicit rate feedback is introduced. A fuzzy-immune controller is designed, which can adjust the rates of ABR on-line, overcome the bad effect caused by the saturation nonlinearity and satisfy the weighted fairness. Also, the sufficient condition that guarantees the stability of the closed-loop system with a fuzzy-immune controller is presented in theory for the first time. The algorithm exhibits good performance, and most importantly, has a solid theoretical foundation and can be implemented in practice easily. Simulation results show that the control system is rapid, adaptive, robust, and meanwhile, the quality of service (QoS) is guaranteed. 展开更多
