Although various types of anti-roll torsion bars have been developed to inhibit excessive roll angle of the electric multiple unit(EMU)car body,it is critical to ensure the reliability of structural design due to the complexity of the problems involving time and uncertainties.To address this issue,amulti-objective fuzzy design optimization model is constructed considering time-variant stiffness and strength reliability constraints for the anti-roll torsion bar.A hybrid optimization strategy combining the design of experiment(DoE)sampling and non-linear programming by quadratic lagrangian(NLPQL)is presented to deal with the design optimization model.To characterize the effect of time on the structural performance of the torsion bar,the continuous-time model combined with Ito lemma is proposed to establish the time-variant stiffness and strength reliability constraints.Fuzzy mathematics is employed to conduct uncertainty quantification for the design parameters of the torsion bar.A physical programming approach is used to improve the designer’s preference and to make the optimization results more consistent with engineering practices.Moreover,the effectiveness of the proposed method has been validated by comparing with current methods in a practical engineering case. 展开更多

The five degree freedom magnetic bearing is researched and its structure and working principles are introduced also. Based on the fuzzy control technology, combining fuzzy algorithm and PID control method, identifying the transition process mode of the online system to get the PID parameters' self-adjusting, the magnetic beating system's Fuzzy-PID nonlinear controller is designed by analyzing the system control demands. The Fuzzy-PID nonlinear controller can deal with the magnetic bearing system' s open loop instability and strong nonlinearity, and the approach could improve the system's rapidity, adaptability, stability and dynamic characteristics. Comparative analysis and experiments are conducted between linear PID and nonlinear fuzzy- PID control methods, the results show that the fuzzy-PID controller is better, and the five-freedom magnetic bearing' s rotary precision experiments are conducted by the fuzzy-PID controller, it satisfies the control rotary precision demands and realizes the hearing's steady floating and rotating. 展开更多

An unsupervised clustering technique is firstly used to determine the number of if-then fuzzy rules and generate an initial fuzzy rule base from the given input-output data. Then, a class of neurofuzzy networks is constructed and its weights are tuned so that the obtained fuzzy rule base has a high accuracy. Finally, two examples of function approximation problems are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

Geothermal energy is considered a renewable,environmentally friendly,especially carbon-free,sustainable energy source that can solve the problem of climate change.In general,countries with geothermal energy resources are the ones going through the ring of fire.Therefore,not every country is lucky enough to own this resource.As a country with 117 active volcanoes and within the world’s ring of fire,it is a country whose geothermal resources are estimated to be about 40%of the world’s geothermal energy potential.However,the percentage used compared to the geothermal potential is too small.Therefore,this is the main energy source that Indonesia is aiming to exploit and use.However,the deployment and development of this energy source are still facing many obstacles due to many aspects from budget sources due to high capital costs,factory construction location,quality of resources,and conflicts of the local community.In this context,determining the optimal locations for geothermal energy sites(GES)is one of the most important and necessary issues.To strengthen the selection methods,this study applies a two-layer fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making method.Through the layers,the Ordinal Priority Approach(OPA)is proposed to weight the sub-criteria,the main criterion,and the sustainability factors.In layer 2,the Neutrosophic Fuzzy Axiomatic Design(NFAD)is applied to rank and evaluate potential locations for geothermal plant construction.Choosing the right geothermal energy site can bring low-cost efficiency,no greenhouse gas emissions,and quickly become the main energy source providing electricity for Indonesia.The final ranking shows Papua,Kawah Cibuni,and Moluccas as the three most suitable cities to build geothermal energy systems.Kawah Cibuni was identified as the most potential GES in Indonesia,with a score of 0.46.Papua is the second most promising GES with a score of 0.45.Next is the Moluccas,with a score of 0.39.However,the three least potential sites among the 15 studied sites are Lumut Balai,Moluccas and Patuha,with scores of 0.08,0.11 and 0.17,respectively.The conclusion of this study also classifies positions into groups to aid in decision-making. 展开更多

An expression of correlating parameter is developed which can be used to synthetically express the close combat maneuverability of fighters by the method of fuzzy mathematics. On the basis of analysis of fighter maneuvering performances, this paper proposes the parameters ωA,ωs, and SEP to measure the maneuvering performances. The linear weighted method, which is one of the basic methods of transforming several objects to a single object in mathematics programming, is used to determine the form of the correlating parameter expression. The focal point of this paper's work is to determine the weight coefficients of maneuvering performances in the expression. In order to solve this problem, the inverse problem of synthetic judgement in fuzzy mathematics is employed. The development of the equation of fuzzy relationship in this paper is based on the judgement data, which are gathered from many experts working in aeronautical field. Therefore, the expression of correlating parameter developed by this paper can be used in the design object at aircraft conceptual design stage and the judgement of synthetical measurement of the maneuverability of fighters. 展开更多

As the three strength reliabilities conditioned each other, there was a problem for the system reliability to apportion rationally. In fact, there was a transition from safety to deactivation. The state of structure was fuzziness which was in both safety and non-safety states. Therefore the reliability was a fuzzy event which considered the randomness for some design parameters and the fuzziness for the thresholds between generalized strength safety and deactivation. The method of second-class comprehensive evaluation was used based on the optimal level cut set, thus the optimal level value of every fuzzy constraint can be attained; the fuzzy optimization is transformed into the usual optimization. The Fast Back Propagation of the neural networks algorithm are adopted to train feed-forward networks so as to fit a relative coefficient. Then the fitness function with penalty terms is built by a penalty strategy, a neural networks program is recalled, and solver functions of the Genetic Algorithm Toolbox of Matlab software are adopted to solve the optimization model. 展开更多
