The multiple attribute decision making problems are studied, in which the information about attribute weights is partly known and the attribute values take the form of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. The operational laws of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers are introduced, and the score function and accuracy function are presented to compare the intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. The intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging (IFOWA) operator which is an extension of the well-known ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operator is investigated to aggregate the intuitionistic fuzzy information. In order to determine the weights of intuitionistic fuzzy ordered weighted averaging operator, a linear goal programming procedure is proposed for learning the weights from data. Finally, an example is illustrated to verify the effectiveness and practicability of the developed method. 展开更多

The notion of the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) is a generalization of that of the Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy set. The fundamental characteristic of IVIFS is that the values of its membership function and non-membership function are intervals rather than exact numbers. There are various averaging operators defined for IVlFSs. These operators are not monotone with respect to the total order of IVIFS, which is undesirable. This paper shows how such averaging operators can be represented by using additive generators of the product triangular norm, which simplifies and extends the existing constructions. Moreover, two new aggregation operators based on the t.ukasiewicz triangular norm are proposed, which are monotone with respect to the total order of IVIFS. Finally, an application of the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy weighted averaging operator is given to multiple criteria decision making. 展开更多

The direct torque control of the dual star induction motor(DTC-DSIM) using conventional PI controllers is characterized by unsatisfactory performance, such as high ripples of torque and flux, and sensitivity to parametric variations. Among the most evoked control strategies adopted in this field to overcome these drawbacks presented in classical drive, it is worth mentioning the use of the second order sliding mode control(SOSMC) based on the super twisting algorithm(STA) combined with the fuzzy logic control(FSOSMC). In order to realize the optimal control performance, the FSOSMC parameters are adjusted using an optimization algorithm based on the genetic algorithm(GA). The performances of the envisaged control scheme, called G-FSOSMC, are investigated against G-SOSMC, G-PI and BBO-FSOSMC algorithms. The proposed controller scheme is efficient in reducing the torque and flux ripples, and successfully suppresses chattering. The effects of parametric uncertainties do not affect system performance. 展开更多

Selection of suitable primary crusher from all of available primary crushers is a multi-criterion decision making(MCDM) problem. The present work explores the use of technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS) with fuzzy set theory to select best primary crusher for Golegohar Iron Mine in Iran. Gyratory, double toggle jaw, single toggle jaw, high speed roll crusher, low speed sizer, impact crusher, hammer mill and feeder breaker crushers have been considered as alternatives. Also, the capacity, feed size, product size, rock compressive strength, abrasion index and application of primary crusher for mobile plants were considered as criteria for solution of this MCDM problem. To determine the order of the alternatives, closeness coefficient is defined by calculating the distances to the fuzzy positive ideal solution(FPIS) and fuzzy negative ideal solution(FNIS). Results of our work based on fuzzy TOPSIS method show that the gyratory is the best primary crusher for the studied mine. 展开更多

Abdulkadir Aygunoglu and Halis Aygun introduced the notion of fuzzy soft groups in 2009[1]. In this paper, the concept of lattice ordered fuzzy soft groups and its duality has been introduced. Then distributive and modular lattice ordered fuzzy soft groups are analysed. The objective of this paper is to study the lattice theory over the collection of fuzzy soft group in a parametric manner. In this paper, a robust fractional order fuzzy P + fuzzy I + fuzzy D (FOFP + FOFI + FOFD) controller is presented for a nonlinear and uncertain 2-1ink planar rigid manipulator. It is a nonlinear fuzzy controller with variable gains that makes it self- adjustable or adaptive in nature. The fractional order operators further make it more robust by providing additional degrees of freedom to the design engineer. The integer order counterpart, fuzzy P + fuzzy I + fuzzy D (FP + FI + FD) controller, for a comparative study, was realized by taking the integer value for the fractional order operators in FOFP + FOFI + FOFD controller. The performances of both the fuzzy controllers are evaluated for reference trajectory tracking and disturbance rejection with and without model uncertainty and measurement noise. Genetic algorithm was used to optimize the parameters of controller under study for minimum integral of absolute error. Simulation results demonstrated that FOFP + FOFI + FOFD controller show much better performance as compared to its counterpart FP + FI + FD controller in servo as well as the regulatory problem and in model uncertainty and noisy environment FOFP + FOFI + FOFD controller demonstrated more robust behavior as compared to the FP + FI + FD controller. For the developed controller bounded-input and bounded-output stability conditions are also developed using Small Gain Theorem. 展开更多

Some characterizations for an ordered semigroup S to be a semilattice of archimedean ordered subsemigroups are given by some binary relations on S and the fuzzy radical of fuzzy ideals of S. Furthermore, some characterizations for an ordered semigroup S to be a chain of archimedean ordered subsemigroups are also given by means of fuzzy subsets of S. In particular, by using the fuzzy prime radical theorem of ordered semigroups, we prove that an ordered semigroup S is a chain of archimedean ordered subsemigroups if and only if S is a semilattice of archimedean ordered subsemigroups and all weakly completely prime fuzzy ideals of S form a chain. 展开更多

Purpose-The proposed IT2FMOVMI model intends to concurrently minimize total cost and warehouse space for the single vendor-retailer,multi-item and a consolidated vendor store.Regarding demand and order quantities with the deterministic and type-1 fuzzy numbers,we have also formulated the classic/crisp MOVMI model and type-1 fuzzy MOVMI(T1FMOVMI)model.The suggested solution technique can solve both crisp MOVMIand T1FMOVMIproblems.By finding the optimal ordered quantities and backorder levels,the Paretofronts are constructed to form the solution sets for the three models.Design/methodology/approach-A multi-objective vendor managed inventory(MOVMI)is the most recognized marketing and delivery technique for the service provider and the retail in the supply chain in Industry 4.0.Due to the evolving market conditions,the characteristics of the individual product,the delivery period and the manufacturing costs,the demand rate and order quantity of the MOVMI device are highly unpredictable.In such a scenario,a MOVMI system with a deterministic demand rate and order quantity cannot be designed to estimate the highly unforeseen cost of the problem.This paper introduces a novel interval type-2 fuzzy multi-objective vendor managed inventory(IT2FMOVMI)system,which uses interval type-2 fuzzy numbers(IT2FNs)to represent demand rate and order quantities.As the model is an NP-hard,the well-known meta-heuristic algorithm named NSGA-II(Non-dominated sorted genetic algorithm-II)with EKM(Enhanced Karnink-Mendel)algorithm based solution method has been established.Findings-The experimental simulations for the five test problems that demonstrated distinct conditions are considered from the real-datasets of SAPCO company.Experimental study concludes that T1FMOVMI and crisp MOVMI schemes are outclassed by IT2FMOVMI model,offering more accurate Pareto-Fronts and efficiency measurement values.Originality/value-Using fuzzy sets theory,a significant amount of work has been already done in past decades from various points of views to model the MOVMI.However,this is the very first attempt to introduce type-2 fuzzy modelling for the problem to address the realistic implementation of the imprecise parameters. 展开更多

It is a new research topic to create a rational judgment matrix using the cognition theory because of the construction of judgment matrix in AHP involving the decision-maker's cognitive activities. Owing to the presence of uncertain information in the decision procedure, the improper use of the uncertain information will doubtless cause weight changes. In this paper, we add a feedforward process prior to constructing the judgment matrix so that the decision maker can use both the certain and uncertain information to get the initial uncertain rough judgment matrix, and then convert it into a fuzzy matrix. Consequently, it will be better for decision maker to obtain the rough set of order equivalent classes through the decision graph. According to the qualitative analysis, the decision maker can easily construct the final judgment matrix instructed by the rough set created earlier. 展开更多

Analysis of Supply Chain Sustainability Drivers in the Oil and Gas Industry under Covid-19 Pandemic

The supply chain of many industries,including Oil and Gas,was significantly affected by the disruption caused by the Covid pandemic.This,in turn,had a knock-on effect on other industries around the globe.Sustaining the impact of the disruption posed a major challenge for the industry.This study contributes to the existing literature by identifying and analyzing the most significant drivers that affected the sustainability of the Oil and Gas supply chain during the Covid pandemic.Fifteen drivers were identified based on an extensive literature review and a survey conducted with experts working in the Oil and Gas industry.Multi-criteria decision-making methodologies were used to analyze these drivers.The analysis from the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process found that the most important drivers for the sustainability of the Oil and gas supply chain during the pandemic were"Risk management capacity","Government regulation"and"Health and safety of employees".On the other hand,the driver"Community Pressure"was found to be of the least importance.Furthermore,the study integrated the results of the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process with the fuzzy technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution to calculate the supply chain sustainability index.A case example was demonstrated to rank the industries based on such calculations.This study can support the governmental institutions in benchmarking the Oil and Gas industry based on its sustainability index.Additionally,the outcomes of the study will help industrial decision makers prioritize the drivers the company should focus and devise strategies based on the priority to improve the sustainability of their supply chain during severe disruption.This will be crucial as the World health organization has cautioned that the world may encounter another pandemic in the near future. 展开更多
